D.I.Y. Ironing Board Storage & Shelf - D.I.Y. At Bunnings - Duration: 2:37.

A laundry is usually one of the most disorganized rooms in the house.

So many things get piled in there and there's so many things to store.

We're gonna take this blank wall and we're gonna create a great little space to store

our ironing board.

These are the products and the tools that we're going to need to create this stand with

a real industrial look.

To give it that look, we're using galvanized piping and fitting which are readily available

at Bunnings.

First thing you've got to do is work out your design for the stand, keeping in mind that

you're dealing with something that's fairly heavy.

You need to work out the width so that you can anchor it in to the studs in the wall.

Next thing to do is to measure up your ply for your shelf.

Make sure that it's long enough and wide enough to hold the iron that you have and then cut

your ply to size.

Because the support for this ply is galvanized pipe, a hole is required for the pipe to pass

through so I'm gonna measure that up and drill it with a spade bit.

This can be painted whatever color you like.

Let's put it aside for now and start assembling the pipes.

Clamp one flange down to give you a starting point and then you can get creative.

These bits here are the pieces that the ironing board is gonna hang on and we have these end

caps just to finish it off and make it look clean.

Remember that you need to make space for your shelf and for your ironing board.

This piece here is a shelf support just to give our shelf a little bit more strength.

Now that I've got my design, I'm gonna paint this yellow and this here black to make it

pop.

It's a good idea while you're painting to paint all your fixings the same color as the

project so that everything matches.

When the paint's dry on your shelf and your pipes, attach the shelf to the pipes, adding

a saddle clamp for it to support, and that's it.

Our great little project is completed.

We can attach it to the wall, screwing it into the wall's studs.

Having a designated place for an essential like an ironing board to keep it up and out

of your way is the first step to making your laundry cleaner and more organized and to

make your life just a little bit easier.

alternative if you want to take charge

of your own emotional well-being and you

Medications have their place but you

should remember that they are not going

to be able to change the underlying

psychological process that produces your

anxiety or depression or other emotional

suffering, they simply relieve symptoms.

So to really tackle the

underlying cause of anxiety and

depression you need a good form of

psychotherapy, and any form of

psychotherapy should focus on teaching

you how to work with your emotions, and

that's what I do during these Skype

counseling sessions. I teach you very

practical methods of working with

emotions so that you can develop what we

call "emotional independence", that is that

you can prevent being overwhelmed by

anxiety or depression or addiction.

This is done through mindfulness therapy,

which is a very sophisticated and very

effective way of working with difficult
