2011 SDCC EXCLUSIVE MONSTER HIGH GHOULIA YELPS DEAD FAST DOLL REVIEW: MY GRAIL DOLL! - Duration: 7:38.Hello, everyone! It's Dolls, Toys, & Games
Gal! Several months ago, I got my grail
doll in the mail. I had bought it off of
Ebay, and it is of course, the 2011 San
Diego Comic-Con exclusive Ghoulia Yelps
as Dead Fast doll. And in this box, there
was a comic of Dead Fast, and what's
happening is Dead Fast is trying to stop
an anti-zombie weapon from going live.
And he's fighting these cute stuffed
animals that are employed by Dr. Igorable,
and Ghoulia helps him outwit that evil
villain, and he runs off with her.
This was the first moment that I
actually saw her. I opened the outer box,
and it was like a feeling of "AHHHH! She's
finally here!"
I had been waiting and hoping for this
doll for so long. She was, you know, five
hundred dollars or four hundred dollars for
a long time on Ebay. And then finally
someone put up a listing that was $339 -
not that the $339 is cheap -
I mean, for me, it was months of
saving up for this doll. But then I put a
picture of this doll up on Instagram and
I asked everyone, "Should I open her?" And
the answers came back,
"No!" So then I left her in her box for
several months, but tonight I am going to
go against the grain, and I am going to
open my grail doll because A) life is too
short; B) I have all these ideas that I
want to do with her for a Monster High
doll series and C) she's calling to me!
So here we go! So the premise behind this
doll is that Ghoulia is a lover of comic
books, and her favorite character is a
very speedy zombie named Dead Fast. If
you know anything about zombies in the
Monster High world, you know that they
are not fast.
(Ghoulia herself is always shambling and
being made fun of for being very slow.)
And the back of the box tells you a
little bit about this character Dead
Fast, and how he was once a zombie
working for this evil boss Dr. Igorable.
One night he gets attacked
by an irradiated hummingbird and thrown
into an industrial cotton candy maker,
and then when he emerges from his sweet
cocoon, he is suddenly Dead Fast, a masked
zombie and has the power of super speed!
Ghoulia, of course that's her favorite
character,
probably because he's a zombie and she's a
zombie. And ever since she was a little
girl, she has had two desires. One is to
go back in time to the Library at
Alexandria, and the second is to go to
Nekrocon, and she actually thinks that it's
harder to get that week-long pass to
Nekrocon. She finally gets one and she's
clutching it and calling it, "My precious!" Kind
of like Gollum and the ring in Lord of
the Rings. I just love that reference! And
her parents actually let her go
because they get so annoyed by her
saying that over and over. So
that's what I actually love about Ghoulia -
is that she is such a nerd! I totally
identify with her because I am the
world's biggest nerd myself! So here's
what Ghoulia comes with: she comes with
herself -
I've probably completely made this doll
lose half its value by opening it - and
the comb is red (the Monster High comb).
She comes with a figurine of Dead Fast - I
imagine that she picked this up at
Nekrocon and i will never open it. And she
comes with a pair of Dead Fast glasses,
and I like how they have a hooked nose -
a hooked beak that's like the character
Dead Fast, and she came with a doll stand
that is red. Looks like red shiny chrome
on the bottom. And here she is clutching
a comic of Dead Fast, and also there's
her lanyard-compatible Nekrocon pass.
Hey, focus! Come on! Okay, I'm gonna see if -
Yep, that works! Now you can see like the
bars across the bottom. It's so detailed
and real-looking. Oh, and these are the
types of bags you always carry at
conventions when you go to each
booth and pick up stuff, and it shows
Dead Fast in action. And here's the back
of Ghoulia's head.
She's got very long light-blue hair
streaked with dark blue, and she has red
brains for earrings, which is an homage to
her zombie love of brains, white-rimmed
glasses, and they are fastened right now
by rubber bands. When you pick them up,
you can see her beautiful blue eyes. I just
love the grey eyeshadow on top, and the
gray on bottom. And also, if you look
closely, you can see silver sparkles on
that upper lid. And her lipstick is the
coolest! It's like a silvery sparkly
lipstick - I don't think that exists in
real life. At least, I don't know where I
would go buy sparkly silver lipstick like that.
It's perfect for her cosplay as
Dead Fast. I decided to put the Dead
Fast glasses on her, and I actually like
these better, so I think I'll keep these
on her, and now it's time to review her
outfit. But I think that means I'm going
to have to carefully take out this Dead
Fast comic book. So I did, and
let's take a look at this comic book.
Okay, on the cover, it says that it was
written by "Ooo-ick Hardeee," I think and the
art is by Killee Rotley. Inside is like
a stylized comic, and on the back it says
once again who the author and the artist
is. So cool!
All right, so you can see that Ghoulia has
like a black sparkly tunic on, and at the
collar, it's red vinyl and it's also that
way at the sleeves.
She's got a black DF on her chest for
Dead Fast, and she actually has a Dead
Fast belt that is white, decorated
with red human brains and red DF emblem in
the center. And her tunic has a
lightning-shaped red hem, as you can see.
She's got a pair of separate black
sparkly leggings on, and these amazing
boots that are red, striped with black at
the top and very high and spiky in the
back.
Wow, those are some really awesome boots!
Let's pick up her hair and take a look
at her from behind.
Oops - her hair is stuck in the stand. There we
we go! So you can see that the costume is
kind of velcro'd together in the back. I
will NOT be taking that off, because I
don't want to lose a single detail! This
doll is my grail doll and she's amazing!
I'm so happy to finally have her! i have
a couple questions for you guys: Do you
guys have this doll? And also, if
she's not your Grail doll, which doll is
your Grail doll? i would love to know!
And finally I just want to say thank
you all for supporting me and watching

What is 5S? Let's learn the basics of 5S. - Duration: 6:26.We'll discuss the basic of 5S and the 5 steps of its activities.
[Intro]
Hi, this is Mike Negami, Lean Sigma Black Belt.
Have you heard of 5S?
If you were in the manufacturing industry, you would learn 5S as the basic of your work.
5S was systematized by Toyota and is now used all over the world.
What is 5S?
5S stands for the activities of Sort, Set in order, Scrub, Standardize and Sustain.
By hearing that, you may think "It sounds like just cleaning, what's so important about
it?"
In fact, it's totally the opposite.
5S is the foundation of Visual Control in the Toyota Production System.
I made a video about this topic.
Please click this link and watch the video.
If you or your employees have time you should look for something we call Muda (waste) in
an untidy factory or office.
Untidiness increases risk of mistakes and injuries and deceases employees' motivation
for work.
The more that equipment and inventory increase in your workplace, the more problems are hidden
and they will not be solved.
By thoroughly implementing 5S within your company, your company will nurture an excellent
and productive culture.
Let's examine each step of 5S.
The 1st one is "Sort".
You sort through everything in your workplace to separate it into things you'll use and
won't use, then throw the 2nd group away.
Red tags are often used in this step.
You attach visual red tags on the things that you won't use.
One issue here is that you'll most likely have things that you want to keep since you
may use them "someday".
A solution for this is to make rules for what to keep or not keep before starting your red
tagging.
For example, things you haven't used for the past 6 months are thrown away, and if things
don't get used in the next 6 months, they would be thrown away.
Write the date after six months in the red tags.
Then, when that day comes, throw them away.
Next is "Set in order".
You set places for each "needed" item and display their names so that everyone can understand
where they can find what they need.
It's a great idea to put a mark like in this picture so that if the item was not returned
after being used, it would be noticed at a glance.
Next is "Scrub".
Scrub away dirtiness and clean up your workplace.
Since you moved out your unneeded items, a lot of hidden dirtiness will be exposed.
The 4th one is "Standardize".
Maintain the first 3S of the "Sort", "Set in order" and "Scrub" and create a mechanism
to maintain that.
Apply the PDCA Cycle to the mechanism is the key to success for this step.
For example, decide whose weekly duty it is in turn and have them patrol to see workplaces
whether the 3S are maintained.
The last one is "Sustain".
Many rules and policies would be created during the first 4S.
The purpose of "Sustain" is to make all employees carry out all the rules and get accustomed
to them.
Let's assume that some rule was broken.
You analyze why it happened.
If that was a system problem, you improve your system, or if that occurred totally because
of an employee's fault, discipline the employee individually.
Your aim is to nurture everyone to practice their 5S proactively.
Now you understand that 5S is not just a cleaning project.
It's usual to launch a project to install the 5S system at first.
Then, you'll hand over the new system to all the employees.
The project may be finished, but all employees must continue to run the 5S forever.
It is a big project.
The factor that is essential and the most important for a 5S project is the commitment
and leadership that the top of the organization has towards its success.
In order to penetrate 5S to all employees, the executives and intermediate managers are
required to set an example for others to follow.
Here I will introduce the famous words of Japanese commander-in-chief, Isoroku Yamamoto,
which all leaders and educators should practice: "Demonstrate first, explain what to do, let
them try it, additionally praise well, then people do their work well."
Today I introduced 5S which Toyota developed.
Even if you're not a leader or manager, please practice this 5S around yourself at work or
at home.
Thank you very much for viewing.
