Last Minute Easy Valentine's Crafts for Kids - Duration: 3:04.

and in today's 2 minute tip
i'm going to give you three simple
valentines day crafts for kids.
I have been shopping at dollar tree and
hobby lobby in preparation for this
video so let's get into it. so for this
first craft you are going to need some
felt hearts. and I found these at hobby
lobby. and as you can see they are
already pre-punched with these cute
little heart punch outs but you could
easily get your own felt, cut out
hearts, and then hole punch around. but the
ones from hobby lobby came in three
different colors. and then
you're going to need some kind of
Valentine's Day ribbon which I also got
at hobby lobby. and then some glitter
glue pens and these came from hobby
lobby as well. and what you're going to
do is have your kids weave or lace the
ribbon through the holes in the outside
of the heart. and here's the finished
product.
I thought it came out really cute and
you can see I just laced and tied a bow
at the top and then with glitter glue i
wrote "jesus loves me" but you could
easily write your child's name on here.
for this next craft you're going to need
some paper doilies. and i got these
pretty white ones from the dollar tree
for a dollar. and then you'll need some
band-aids. you have the kids cut the
doily in half... kind of in a triangle
pattern... to make it look like a broken
heart and then you write "Jesus Heals
Broken Hearts" on it. and have them put
the heart back together with the
band-aid. for this third easy craft
you're going to need a hole punch,
some ribbon, again i got this ribbon at
the dollar tree for dollar, and some card
stock hearts. and i got these from
hobby lobby. and this you can make either
as an individual family project to
encourage your family to pray for one
another or you can do what I'm doing
which is I'm encouraging my church
congregation to pray for our children
and youth. and so what you do is you just
hole punch the top of your cardstock
heart and add a cute little ribbon and
then you put in your child or youth name
and their age. but i'm really excited
about this project. we're going to have
these hanging up.
we have about 60 hearts were going to
hang up in the main area where people
enter the sanctuary for Valentine's Day
and encourage the congregation to take a
heart down and pray for the child or the
youth name that's listed on the heart
from valentine's day through Easter. if

History in a Minute.
I am your bearded nerdy history guru and
today we're talking about the history of
Eucharistic Adoration. Now from the
earliest time of Christianity, Christians
believed that our Lord Jesus was truly
present in the Eucharist, but it was not
always common for Eucharist to be
reserved in church and have Christians
pray in front of it or have it carried
around in procession for the adoration
of the people. This actually came about
in the the High Middle Ages. And it was a
reaction to a heresy in the 11th century
by a French canon named Berengar of
Tours. Berengar taught that Christ was
truly present in the sacrament, but in a
merely spiritual way. Not in a
bodily sense. This heresy was condemned
multiple times by several popes and
confounded by many theologians. Berengar
eventually recanted, was sent to do
penance of the Monastery of Saint Cosme
outside Paris, but this
controversy went on for some time and in
order to instill in the Christian
populace the right understanding of the
Eucharist it became common to reserve
the Eucharist for private adoration. And
by the 13th century we see the height of
Eucharistic Adoration in the Middle Ages
with the institution of the Feast of
Corpus Christi, which Saint Thomas
Aquinas wrote the hymns for, with the
Eucharist being processed about and
whatnot. And ever since then devotion to
the Eucharist has only grown throughout
the Church, but it dates back to a an
eleventh-century heresy and the Church's
desire to combat that heresy with pious

i'm sure we will have this issue at some point you have a very
cool-looking profile picture or banner artwork
and then you go to upload it to facebook or twitter
and it seems that you're viewing it after
a few bottles of beer
i'm going to show you exactly how
to save images and upload them to
social media without them being blurry
if you take a look at my social media for
example you will notice that none of my artwork is blurry
we will first be looking at how to set up
your documents what dimension to use as
well as document types. from there you
look at how the artwork should appear
before you even think about exporting
to social media and finally how to save
and export your artwork from photoshop
to social media
today we're just going to be looking at photoshop
as a means for fixing blurry images
for social media
There are so many different opinions online for this subject
I am simply going to show you what works for me and
what I've used in the past I've added a
link in description shows dimensions for all
the banner artwork relevant social media sites
each social media site uses
different dimensions for the banner artwork for example
please refer to the link
also you can find templates online too
to start the process and how to fix blurry
images in Photoshop for social media you
should want to make an RGB document
saving your images for web as apposed to cmyk for print
for banner artwork have just shown you
that each site has different dimensions
but for profile pic you want to have no
less than 500 x 500 pixels
But I choose to use eight hundred for good the measure
the standard PPI for web use is 72 of PPI
for web but most commonly
people use 72 PPI
one very important factor you must keep in
mind for having perfect social media artwork
is that the original artwork must
be high quality before you even think
about exporting it. this means that you
if your artwork is blurry now, you have
zero chance of it being sharp and crisp
the other end to achieve high quality
artwork beforehand you should need to be
working on the artworks with a high PPI
canvas before moving it to the final
canvas for saving a banner for example
also you can make the artwork in
Adobe illustrator with vectors which will ensure
the artwork is crisp and sharp throughout
once you have your work on the canvas
you can view it that one hundred percent here
how you're looking at right now
would be the best possible quality you
can hope for once you save the image in
Photoshop and export into social media
final section on how to export your artwork
in photoshop and not having it blurry for social media
is exactly that, how to export it.
I first like to
flatten my artwork in photoshop
once you've done that you need to head up to file, export
and save for web
this window here should appear
if you have a logo with just block colours and no gradients
you should select PNG eight if your
image contains artwork with things such
as drop shadows and gradients choose
PNG 24 some people would suggest that for
photographic profile picture to use
defects and it can work but i still
prefer these png24 this is because indeed
a lot less compression format and
compress images without any loss of
quality something Jake does not do here
you can also having a transparent
background for social media this is not
what we're going to need you can get
that
and finally you can check here and how
the final artwork is going to look once you export it
check for any errors or dips in quality
when you upload your
png image to social media it should
not be blurry
if you have taken into account everything i just said you will have a
crisp and clean design
recap quickly use the correct dimensions to in
social media banner artwork
profile pics are square should be no later than 500 x
minus pixels the Congress should be an
RGB mode you are work needs to be shot
before you even think about exporting it
and you must use the graph format and
saving trail

Going the 90 or so kilometers but also spiritually
Making this transition
From this place of death - Auschwitz
To this place of rebirth in Krakow
My great-grandparents were murdered here
They never had the opportunity that we have
Which is to leave this place
And I think with opportunity comes responsibility
Responsibility to make sure this never happens to us
Or to anyone else again
And to try to make the world a better place
It's such a wonderful time
It's so meaningful, everyone was so inspirational
Especially Marcel Zielinski
Seeing him, what he's accomplished
Makes me want to do things and accomplish more in my life
And like they say living well
Is how we get back
I think this is a wonderful experience
And anyone who's even considering it
Should just go for it
Both sides of the family come from Poland
And lived a life of survivors
Yet here we are amazed
When we arrived in Krakow
It was an unbelievable feeling
And it really was pretty amazing
My mother was from Poland, so many people
I know in Colombia, most of them were from Poland
They we're able to survive the Holocaust
So you're doing tzedakah
I can come back to where they were from
When we ride through the streets
I think we hear their sounds and
their calling and we see them smiling
from upon us and we know we have returned
We're here and we're going to continue to build
That's a very wonderful feeling
I'm really amazed and impressed
By how much everyone supported one another
I think we really came together as a community
And everyone helped each other along the way
And shared their stories and their experiences
We became one unit
And I think that's very important for the Krakow community
As well as for the global Jewish community
You see here everyone
Celebrating and enjoying each other's time
And hugging each other in celebration
Of Jewish life here in Poland
By riding, by supporting, by showing
The world that Jewish life can once again exist
I think we're doing the absolute best thing
We can to honor the people
Like my great-grandparents
And the best way to honor and to commemorate
Is to build
