Aspen Winter X Games Recap for 2017 | CBC Sports - Duration: 1:32.I'm coming to you from X Games Aspen,
where Canadian athletes have been hitting up podiums,
making history... you know, just your average week.
Skiers Noah Bowman and Alex Beaulieu-Marchand
both won bronze in the halfpipe and slopestyle events,
and Kaya Turski landed a beautiful
switch double 1080 in the women's ski big air final.
And in news that should shock no one,
Canada dominated in the men's slopestyle and big air finals.
There were two Canadians on each of these podiums.
Tyler Nicholson won his first ever X Games medal with a silver in slopestyle.
And we saw Mark McMorris on the podium not once, but twice,
with two bronze in both big air and slopestyle.
But arguably one of the biggest moments of the week happened in the big air final, where
Canadian Max Parrot led the quad train.
He made history by landing the first ever quad underflip in competition,
and he followed that up by defending his title and winning big air gold.
So the rest of the riders had to pick up what Max was putting down,
and it became quad after quad after quad.
Silver medallist Marcus Kleveland landed the first quad cork in competition history,
and we saw McMorris attempt a quad, as well.
Now, seeing quads in competition is a big deal.
Not only because it's never been done before, but because it ups the risk factor, and there
are some people who wonder whether that's a good thing.
But by looking at the reaction online,
fans seem to be pretty pumped about this quad development.
Regardless of whether you're a fan of the quad or not,
it looks like we may be seeing
more of them in this snowboarding season.

Umu: End of announcements, enjoy the video
*Rossini's Semiramide Overture plays*
Ash: So Seventeen is basically this group that debuted in 2015
Umu: So they're a recent group Davis: Oh they're new
Umu: Oh
OMG!
2015 was 2 years ago
Umu: 13 members, all boys
Rachel: Thirteen!
Umu: Yeah 13
Gwen: Not 17? (You'd think right)
Umu: Ages seventeen to-
Ash: 21
Henry: twennywan
Umu: This group they produce and
Hugo: Do they write their own music?
Umu: Yes
Hugo: Cool
Umu: What's cool is that they're split into 3 sub-units
Davis: They're so organized dude
Like that's amazing
Umu: Yeah, so the very first one I asked on twitter
Should I show the dance practice or the music video for this group
because I heard a lot of people wanted me to show the dance practice
and they asked for the very first one which is called Adore u
for me to show you the dance practice
so that's what you're gonna see
Umu: Let's do this!!
Hugo: Nom nom nom hurr
Gwen: Hahaha
Henry: Five foooouuuur
Hugo: Three!
Umu: Three, two *Shimon presses play*
Umu: Haha Ok
Umu: And sometimes they goof off
Shimon: 1:15 A.M
Oh geez
༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
(Carat's where you at)
Kevin: That reverb
Umu: Make sure to comment on their voicesss!
Fiona: This is cool
Gwen: TBH they're just yelling soo
hehehhe
Umu: Oh this part! XD
Davis: I always wanted to know what dance practices are like
And this is funny
Lindsey: Well this is really interesting cuz
Davis: Oh this is the real deal
This is- Oh 10 P.M now it's the next day
Ash: You can definitely see the fun that they have
Yunyi: Hahaha
Ash: Behind the scenes
Henry: This electric bass is
Funky
Fiona: This is cool
Henry: Yeah, I dig this
Hugo: Ooh
Gwen: Ooh
Yunyi: There's like, good vibes everywhere
Kevin: Mhm
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Hugo: I like his voice it's real poppy
Davis: They're so in sync
Leah: This is cool
They look like bowling pins
*processing*
Shimon: Hahaha XDXD
Leah: Like dancing bowling pins
Hugo: Ooh
Gwen: That was a tight ass harmony
Leah: Very attractive, adorable bowling pins (Leah what is happening)
Gwen: Wow imagine how long it took them to hit all these marks though
Like for real
Shimon: Very synchronized
Gwen: I'm constantly blown away by the harmony that Kpop groups have
Davis: They're definitely starting out with a bang
Gwen: It's probably because they're so many of them
Hugo: Yeah
Gwen: That they kinda have too
Kevin: It's a good song
I dig this
Gwen: Is pink hair dude the main dude
Umu: Woozi?
Is he short?
Hugo: Yeah
Henry: That half time is dope
Hugo: No
It's
They do a real good job of having the harmonies there
Kevin: I hear the cowbell, but there needs to be more of it
Henry: They're using minor progression resolving to a major chord that's weird
Gwen: Oh sh*t
Gwen: Did you hear that guy like
Hugo: Mhm
Davis: That sounded like an accordion sample
Kevin: Woah
Yunyi: That use of accordion
Kevin: chromaticism
Gwen: Wait are they gonna leave his hat there
Davis: Oh no he dropped his hat. go back and get it
Gwen: Oh they're gonna leave the hat there
Kevin: AAwwwwWW
Yunyi: Aww
Kevin: Kids!
Henry: Did they choreograph this themselves?
Ash: Yeah
Henry: That's so dope
The way that they switch who is in front and based on who's singing
Ash: Uh huh
Henry: Is so artistic
Gwen: Hng
Hugo: Ung
Gwen: Hahaha
Yunyi: They make it look so easy
Kevin: There's got some
There's some 80's guitar vibe and some slap bass
I mean
It's great
Umu: How are you liking the dance
Shimon: It really fits the music
Gwen: Haahhehe
Hugo: I like some of the instrumentations too with the guitar and the bass
Gwen: Yeah
Hugo: In the background. It's just reinforcing the harmonies
Ooh
Henry: Background vocal chords
were tight
*snap*
*snap*
*snap*
*snap*
*snap*
(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Lindsey: my gosh
Lindsey: This is really awesome. I've always been jealous at people who are really good at dancing
Hugo: Ooh Ung
Fiona: What!
That looked so good
Gwen: What type of chord was that
Hugo: I don't know we'll have to listen to it again
Davis: They're choreography it's really good with the music
Especially when you have a sorta like a thinner instrumentation
Like it kinda just drops out then builds back up
The choreography reflects that really well
Davis: I just can't believe how they're all doing these moves at the same time
Lindsey: Yeah
Gwen: Oh that dance move
Gwen: Oh are they all dead (scarred from B.A.P) Hugo: Oh no
Both: What
Gwen: Oh god 2:30 A.M
Lindsey: Do they like practice the dance all night and then the next day they record the video
so they do it all at once kinda
Umu: I think so (her voice scared me)
Davis: *grunt*
Gwen: I like it when they yell
Hugo: We're just having such a good time it's great
Fiona: This is so cute
Henry: They're all like done for
Both: *intense laughter*
Davis: *Santa Laughter*
Shimon: *Slight giggle*
Davis: That was really funny
Just like. Bam
Gwen: *still laughing*
Davis: Quite the preperation
Oh what
Hugo: Omg they're just like dying for food like
RRAAAWRW
I mean at 2:30 in the morning after that dance routine
Hugo:I would also be dying for food Gwen: Gotta sneeze
Hugo: Bless you
Umu: Achoo
Hah
Oh'
Hah
HAH
Gwen: GOD DANGIT
Henry: Wow
That's so cool that they showed this
Hugo: Damn
Gwen: Oh it's done
Yunyi: Two thumbs up
Fiona: That's so fun
Henry: That's so cool
Shimon: It's cool
I like the whole behind the scenes thing
Lindsey: I liked it
Davis: Yeah I liked it
Lindsey: I was definitely way too focused on the dancing
because it was a dance practice
Davis: Yeah me too
Lindsey: But I also enjoyed the song and how it worked with the dances
Shimon: Wouldn't it suck to be the one that screwed up
Davis: As a debut song. I would call that a success
Lindsey: Me too as well
Henry: Those vocal chords were spicy
I love it
Yunyi: More cowbell
The answer is always more cowbell
Gwen: You were like be sure to comment on their voices
And then we were just like
HUAH HUH UNG HUAH
Umu: AAAAHHHH
Hugo: They are um... vocal
They're very vocal
Kevin aka Christopher Walken: I have a fever
Bu the only prescription is more cowbell
(¬_¬)
Gwen: With these groups. I'm really into the harmony that they do
Hugo: Yeah
Gwen: It's all-
Hugo: That one slide they had
Gwen: And it was all at the same time too
Because portamentos are so messy
Unless you're like
Unless you're like in the 20's in that type of choir then
Hugo: No it is such a sh*t show
Gwen: I'm impressed with that sh*t
Hugo: No that was really good
and then
Gwen: They're sound mixing though
Hugo: No what was really awesome too was that they did a really good job
of not making the noise too cluttered
They were really good about having the harmonies there
and having these thick chords
but then they would take it away and have a single voice
and so you would get that one voice
group of people, one voice with instruments, group of people
and it was just a nice blend of instruments
without it being omg this is a lot
Davis: Whenever I was talking about the thinner instrumentation
and where it was like building back up
that was kind of like yeeahh
Fivee!
And it was like five is gonna
and then
Umu: just AAAHHHHHH
Davis: It didn't really resolve
and then it resolved
so it kinda built up
Lindsey: It was like a dominant prolongation
Davis: Sure
Davis: And I think what that did emotionally for me
was really effective
Hugo: They had some hella high notes too
Gwen: Yeeahhh!!
There was like this one part where everyone was on the ground or something I don't remember
adn this one dude was like
aaahhh
And I was like
(͡ ͡° ͜ つ ͡͡°)
There you go
Hugo: And then during the bridge also they had some high cluster chords
Which was just like
Wuuaah
and it was so cool
Yunyi: Look forward to our
Kevin: Seventeen Pretty U reaction
Both: On Thursday (that was cute)
Ash: What is so funny
Leah: I feel like I'm on an airplane (Leah you aight)
pls enjoy more of davis' santa laugh -umu

40 for 40: YAP! Centennial, Behind the Scenes - Duration: 2:30.[music plays]
[music continues]
male voice: Yo, yo, yo!
We up in the "History Machine!"
[up-beat music]
It was a really great adventure. We got to visit
so many different national parks.
female voice: Fort Stanwix was actually really cool.
The reenactors of like, the soldiers, they were really cool.
Shout-out to my homey, Hayden, who was in the video.
Watching them fire off the cannons was actually really fun.
Cannons are loud.
female voice: Pretty much almost lost my hearing.
But it was really cool to see like, how they go about cleaning the cannon.
Lighting it, and all that stuff. That was fun.
[BOOM!]
Just the general architecture, of the fort itself, it's cool.
With the spikes hanging out and then the drawbridge.
male voice: I was in awe.
second voice: Why?
It was just like, so much to take in, that I was just like, happy to be there.
The room we found at Fort Stanwix was just kind of riddled with
random "artifacts," real artifacts, ah, skinned animals,
Which was ah, something else...
This fort was going in the 1700s, and
they actually studied the remains of it. And reconstructed the whole thing.
And now give visitors the experience of going to this old time fort, which is just breath-taking.
[music playing]
*Love what you do. Do what you love.*
*We made it to a hundred years! It's a celebration!*
*Yea-ahhh! Centennial!*
*WOO!*
Say it louder! *CENTENNIAL!*
*Love what you do. Do what you love!*
*Made it to a hundred years. It's a celebration!*
*Yea-ah! CENTENNIAL!*
*I can't hear you!!!
*CENTENNIAL!*
*If I had one wish, I'd change the world.*
*Provide 'em with better vision.*
*Turn them grey skies blue*
*Keep' the national parks living!*
*Been a hundred years strong! Gotta help 'em to make a difference*
*So a hundred years later it's alive and still kickin'!*
*Hope my great-grandchildren embrace in its inner beauty*
[music fades]

Tips for caring for pets in winter - Duration: 2:55.>> WELCOME BACK.
DON'T FORGET ABOUT YOUR
FOUR-LEGGED FAMILY MEMBERS AS
WINTER REALLY SETS IN.
JOINING US NOW WITH MORE
INFORMATION IS KIM SKILLMAN WITH
PET VALUE.
GOOD MORNING.
>> GOOD MORNING.
>> THANKS FOR BEING HERE.
THIS IS SO IMPORTANT BECAUSE
WE'RE ALWAYS THINKING ABOUT
OURSELVES AND OUR FAMILY.
WE HAVE TO REMEMBER WE HAVE
FOUR-LEGGED FAMILY MEMBERS TOO.
>> WE SOMETIMES THINK ABOUT
BUNDLING UP FOR WINTER
OURSELVES, AND ACTUALLY THEY
NEED HELP WITH WINTER WEATHER
AND COLD AND ELEMENTS THEMSELVES
ALSO.
>> SOME PEOPLE THINK THEY HAVE
FUR.
I DON'T WANT TO OVERHEAT THEM.
>> THAT'S NOT NECESSARILY TRUE.
DIFFERENT BREEDS.
DEFINITELY SHORT-HAIRED DOGS
REALLY NEED MOSTLY COATS OR A
VEST OR SOMETHING ON THE
OUTDOORS, BUT IT'S NOT THE
OUTDOORS.
IT'S ALSO THE INSIDE OF THE
HOUSE WITH THE HEAT COMING ON.
>> YOU HAVE EXAMPLES.
>> I SURE DO, ABSOLUTELY.
WE HAVE A COUPLE OF VARIETIES
HERE.
THIS IS SORT OF A HORSE BLANKET
STYLE JACKET THAT EASY TO PUT
OVER THE DOG.
WE HAVE PARKAS, VESTS, EASY
VELCRO CLOSURES.
AND THEN THE FUN STUFF FOR THE
WINTER.
WE HAVE GREAT SWEATERS BY BAILEY
AND BELLA, WHO THOSE ARE REALLY
EASY.
THEY COULD EVEN WEAR THEM AROUND
THE HOUSE.
THAT ISN'T JUST OUTSIDE.
>> DO THEY LIKE WEARING THEM?
IT'S HARD TO TELL IF THEY ENJOY
IT.
>> YOU WOULD KNOW YOUR PET.
>> WE ENJOY IT.
>> IT'S GOOD TO START THEM OUT
AS A PUPPY.
THE OTHER REALLY GREAT ITEM FOR
THE WINTER, THIS IS A HEATED
BED, AND THIS IS GREAT FOR
HARDWOOD FLOORS AND TILE BECAUSE
IT DOESN'T KEEP THE HEAT IN THE
HOME.
WHEN THE DOG LAYS DOWN ON THE
FLOOR, IT'S CHILLY FOR THE DOG.
CATS, OBVIOUSLY, WOULD LOVE A
HEATED BED.
SO THAT'S GOOD FOR KITTIES TOO.
SO YOU'VE GOT YOUR APPAREL,
YOU'VE GOT A HEATED BED FOR
INSIDE.
WE HAVE GREAT ELEMENTS THAT HELP
WITH THE OUTDOORS.
ONE OF THE -- THIS WORKS INSIDE
AND OUT, OUR HEAD TO TAIL SKIN
AND COAT SUPPLEMENTS.
ACTUALLY WHAT THAT DOES IS GIVES
THE DOG AND CAT A LUXURIOUS COAT
AND IT MINIMIZES SHEDDING, AND
THIS TIME OF YEAR, YOU CAN GET A
LOT OF SHEDDING WITH HEAT AND
COLD BACK AND FORTH.
>> EVERYBODY WOULD LIKE THOSE.
>> YES, YES.
AND THESE ITEMS, THESE ARE A LOT
OF FUN.
THESE ARE ACTUALLY MOISTURIZING
STICKS FOR THE DOG'S PAWS.
>> JUST LIKE WE NEED MOISTURE,
THEY DO TOO.
>> EXACTLY.
LIKE WE MOISTURIZE OUR HANDS.
THESE YOU SHOULD PUT ON BEFORE
YOU GO OUTSIDE.
IT HAS COCONUT OIL AND BEE'S
WAX.
IT HELPS COAT THE PAWS AND PADS
FOR GOING OUTSIDE.
YOU CAN USE IT COMING BACK
INDOORS.
ALL THESE ITEMS THERE ARE GREAT
FOR MOISTURIZING THE PALMS.
>> LET'S GO THROUGH THEM FAST.
>> THIS IS A MUST.
IT'S DE-ICER.
IT'S SAFE FOR DOGS AND CHILDREN.

WHY WAS THIS TRIP SO LONG?!?!?! - Duration: 8:25.[Intro Music]
So Zuzia just said they have twenty g-granola bars
and I promise you I heard gorilla bars and I was like [whispers] Harambe
So we are at the airport in Wroclaw
We were here last year
Do you remember?
We were at this um this-this no no this place
We were getting book- I was getting a sudoku book which is
It was a good kush sudoku book
and then all I hear is your dad and like Anna
"Zuzia! Hey Zuzia!" and we had to like run to our gate
but there was no drama, they had just changed the gate to the one beside it
and they weren't even boarding yet! [laughs]
So then we had were anxiety like paying -
Zuzia: Show them how close together the gates are too
We were like paying super quickly
Like literally
That's Gate 3 and that's Gate 4
Welcome to Wroclaw
Um so we had an issue when we went to
put our bags for the first time ever
We didn't have a issue with weight because I am the master of weight redistribution
Zuzia: We didn't a weight issue?
We didn't have a weight issue
I am good weight redistribution, right?
Like mine was on point, I even got to put my jacket in there, no anxiety
You could have put your jacket in there, no anxiety
We would be Gucci
Um
But then they tell us we don't have a ticket and I'm like "What?"
Thank god your Dad came in with us cause usually he wouldn't
come in, we are like "Oh no, it's okay"
Jesus Christ
Anyways they found our ticket, I dunno what was happening
Anyways, so now we are waiting for our trip, for our trip?
For our flight to Munich
Um, which is in about an hour and a half so
We are gonna go into that store though
cause apparently they have English books and Zuzia is excited about that
Zuzia: Oh no, my hair is doing that thing
That's okay, they've seen you look worse
Zuzia: Thanks
You don't look that bad though
You just look really sick
which is fine cause I look like I wanted to die when I was sick but I didn't make any videos sooo
Gonna be super tourist but oh my god
obviously it looks nothing like it does in real life though
Even with this good kush camera
Daamn
Whatever, it looks like the sky is on fire, it looks very beautiful
We just landed in Munich and now we have to go to our gate
but we have to go through passport and
I am so scared that there is nothing fun on the other side
So that's-that's alright, did you know the escalator starts when there is no one?
Wooow
Technology
So the first time I had a pretzel
Like a big pretzel was at
Auntie Annie's
I was so disappointed
Cause it's like soft
It's not what a pretzel should be and
now I've had this
It's the best pretzel I've ever had in my life
Know why?
It tastes like a fucking pretzel
It tastes like a lil' lil' pretzel
Zuzia: Sorry
Yea,
you take a bite of it
[Crunching noises]
Europe is so interesting
You just give them your passport
and then they just say "Have a good day"
[snickers]
And then they don't ask you hundred questions
like when you go into USA
Or when you go back to Canada, it's like "I live here hoe"
Zuzia starts school the day we come back
So they are doing homework right now
We're not even aloud to go to our gate
until two hours before our flight
It is nine o'clock
So
In an hour
we'll be able - in an hour and a half
we'll be able to just penetrate the area that's like right there
To go to our gate
So we survived like a five hour lay over
and it went by really quickly which is great
We are [clears throat] about to board and
um people are like going down an escalator and I swear to god
if we have to take a bus to this plane I'm gonna
freak out
Because it is so cold outside like this morning at like three am
Okay I am being dramatic, six am
We to get on a plane
In Wroclaw, it was like -17 Celsius
and then we have to get off and get on a bus and it's like they leave
the door open and there's no heat
[sighs]
Europe, why you do dis?
Anyways, so people are going down an escalator but this is a big plane
Like there is a lot of people
I really hope that there is overhead space because like last time we were on this flight um
there was no space for my legs [laughs]
So I can't put my bag under there
But yea, so I am just waiting cause Zuzia went to the bathroom
and uh
Yea, so this flight will be me trying to sleep
Me being very hungry
Uh me colouring and doing some Sudoku
because like I said in my "Traveling for 36 Hour video"
I love Sudoku
Ah the line's getting long which means there's not going to be much overheard room
Oh my goodness, I'm anxiety
Oh there's Zuzia
I was talking shit
Zuzia: You would [coughs]
Yea, let's go now
Buhye
I just told them I hope it's not a bus
Let's wait around for my reaction
[airport noises]
Zuzia: I hope there's overhead space
[airport noises]
Bless, it's not a bus
[whispers] Bless
When the vegan snack on the plane is literally water
[laughs]
Mineral water though so I'll give them that
I have literally being wanting to vlog all day long
because so much happened
Um
But I couldn't so [laughs]
Let's recap
Last, we were in Germany
Got on the flight and it - bless - it wasn't a shuttle bus
It was like a real sitting down - whatever blah, blah
[sigh]
So, we are on the plane and I was like "Oh my god, this is nine and a half hours"
but we got like a good seat cause like we were in the emergency exit
so we had so much leg room
Like I could have lied down on the floor
Which was like Gucci
So we are doing that, then we get the lunch
It was so good, oh my god
Like usually airport food that's vegan is like [unimpressed sound]
But this was, this meal was good
Anyways, so
ummm
uh, I watch a movie, we na- whatever
I'm not going to tell you what happens on the flight
I'll tell you what happens though
We're like, approaching JFK
and [takes breath] it's a busy time of year
[chuckle] and their saying there is a lot planes circling right now
and it might take 30 to 45 minutes maybe
probably more, it usually takes more than they estimate
[breaths in]
Um, but we are running out of fuel so
We can't wait [chuckles]
Um, so we actually had-
I dunno why they couldn't just prioritize us because our fu-
we had no fuel, instead we fucking flew all the way to Baltimore
Landed
Fueled up, which took forever and then we went and went to JFK
and that was fast and it was great but we supposed to land at 3:40 pm
We ended up landing-
I think at like nine
Nine, yea
And then by 9:40-
What time is it? Am I exaggerating? No I'm not by 9:40 I was out of
customs cause it took forever for me cause I didn't see that the Canadians
could also go in the American whatever-
I don't even- whatever
[takes breath]
Anyways, so I'm exhausted [sighs]
I've been up since three am
Like Poland time which is 9 pm
I've been up since 9 pm
I've been up- I've been up for 30 hou- Thirt- 26 hours
Maaath
[takes breath]
I'm exhausted so right now
We took an Uber which took forever to get
Oh my goodness this- this day is a nightmare
I just went to Vinnie's
To get Zuzia and I pizza
And I'm not going to show you how much pizza it is
and how much other stuff that I got because it's embra-
You know what? Fuck it, I'm a show you
I got myself vegan pepperoni and cheese and then Zuzia some like weirdo-
then I got some vegan drumsticks and I just looked at myself in the viewfinder
and I look literally horrible so
I'm- I'ma eat [laughs]
and uh-
I'm- I'ma close this off for right now um
Tomorrow we leave and we-
[yawns]
Take a bus up to uh-
Montréal to go home finally and then I move
I move
Oh my god, I'm so exhausted
Heeheheh
I like that it focuses on the tree behind me but not my actual face
Like come on [snaps]
Come on, let's get to it, okay
Also
That's a cookie
Honestly, traveling took forever
I wanted to like
film us in the Greyhound

Jackets Required TV Presents: Episode 59 Women - how to dress for your body type - Duration: 2:06.Welcome to Jacket's Required, hello, I'm Dominic Lacquaniti, designer & tailor
This week I'm going to provide some basic tips for women to dress for their body type.
Let's get started!
Are you curvy with a small waist?
We refer to this as an hourglass figure.
If this is your body type then you should be accentuating your waist.
Wear a belted jacket to draw attention to your waist.
Or try a wrap dress, or darts in your tops and jackets as these will minimize the appearance
of your bust and hips.
Do you have slender legs and upper body but carry weight around your middle?
This body type is called an Apple shape.
With this body type you want to highlight your legs and shoulders to draw attention
away from the mid-section.
Flowy shirts, A-line high waisted skirts and straight leg pants are your friends.
If you aren't curvy and instead have a figure where your hips and your waist are the same
width, you're a banana shape.
You want to highlight the thinnest part of your waist to accentuate your bust and hips,
creating the look of more curves.
Tapered pants and shorter skirts and dresses are going to flatter you.
If the widest part of your body is around your hips your body shape is a pear.
You want to create balance, elongate your body and draw the eyes up with clothes such
as a structured jacket, an off the shoulder top, an asymmetrical hemline.
Boot cut jeans are going to even out your body proportions for a nice casual look.
We all work with what nature has given us and these tips should help you feel more confident
in your appearance - no matter what your body type
or the occasion you are dressing for.

Jeep Wrangler Mopar CB Antenna Mount Kit w/ Jeep Logo Antenna (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 4:52.I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the Mopar
CB Antenna Mount Kit with Jeep Logo Antenna, fitting all 2007 and up JKs.
Today we're gonna talk through the installation of this setup, which is a very simple one
out of three wrenches, as well as a few of the features.
If you're going to be running a CB setup on your Jeep, you are going to need a CB antenna
and mount setup.
And what that really includes is the mount itself, the wire, the couplers, and the antenna.
So there are quite a few pieces to gather together.
This kit puts all of those pieces in one convenient package for you, which is a really nice feature.
Now the fact that this is Jeep branded really just means it says Jeep on the tip of the
antenna, on the tip cover here.
Which isn't a ton of branding, but if you like that sort of thing, it's certainly there,
and it's not something that a lot of other antennas are going to have.
Generally when you see a Jeep logo on something, you are going to pay a little bit of a premium
for it, but in my opinion, this is actually a fair price for this setup.
But it's only a fair price because of all the pieces that you get.
It's not necessarily a reflection of the quality of the pieces.
This antenna, while it is tuneable, is not my favorite style of antenna because you do
have to unwrap and cut the wire at the tip of the antenna, which is not a reversible
process, in order to get it tuned.
I much prefer a CB antenna that has a screw and a jam nut on top of it to adjust the length.
It's much easier to tune the antenna.
This also says that it is tuned exclusively for the Jeep JK.
And while I don't doubt that this is tuned out of the factory, it's always a good idea,
and in fact, when you install your CB radio they'll probably tell you not even to use
it until you tune your specific antenna to your specific setup.
And that will change depending on a million different variables, so the tune that they
give you with the antenna you are going to have to alter it to get optimum usage out
of your CB anyway.
So I wouldn't put too much weight behind the fact that this is exclusively tuned for JK.
So as I said this is all the parts that you're going to need to get your CB working right
out of the box all in one place, which is a nice feature.
You have an aluminum mount that is designed to go directly on to your spare tire mount.
So as long as you're still running a factory spare tire, or you have enough room between
your tailgate and your tub mounted, or bumper mounted spare tire carrier, you can run a
setup like this.
And this will go directly into the factory holes using the factory hardware, so you don't
have to worry about drilling anything to get this mounted.
It also comes with the connector and the stud, as well as 18 feet of coax cable that will
run directly up into your CB radio.
As we said before, it also includes this antenna, which is a roughly three-foot-long antenna.
It is tuneable, but it is a little bit more difficult to tune because you do have to do
some cutting.
And the Jeep logo, of course, is at the tip of the antenna.
So to get this setup installed is a very simple one out of three wrenches.
All you need to do is remove two of the bolts that hold the spare tire mount on to your
tailgate, hold the bracket in place, and reinstall those factory bolts in their factory holes.
After that, it's just a matter of screwing the antenna in place and running your cable
up to where your CB radio is mounted.
From there you are going to want to use a short wave radio tuner to get everything dialed
in and tune your antenna.
The actual installation of this shouldn't take you more than a half an hour, but tuning
can take a little bit more time depending on how carefully you wanna do it.
As I mentioned, generally when you're purchasing something that has the Jeep logo on it, you're
paying a premium just for that logo.
In this case, I don't feel like that's necessarily the case.
I think for all of the components that you get here, the number of components, and for
the ease of installation, having everything in one box, this is a pretty fair price.
However, if I were piecing together a antenna and wire, and mount system for my JK, I would
definitely swap out this antenna for one that is easier to tune, even if it costs a little
bit more money.
So if you're looking for a CB antenna and mount setup that out of the box has all of
the components you're going to need, and has the Jeep branding, this is certainly an option.
If you are going to be tuning your CB antenna as you should be to get optimal use out of
your CB system, this antenna is going to be a little bit more difficult to tune than some
of the other ones on the market.
So that's my review of the Mopar CB Antenna Mounting Kit with Jeep Logo Antenna, fitting
all 2007 and up JKs that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.
