ABANDONED WAL-MART REOPENING AS A SHELTER FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS (PAID FOR BY TAXPAYERS,

OF COURSE)

An abandoned Walmart in Brownsville, Texas will soon be home to 100�s of illegal immigrant

�minors�, many of them late in their teen years, thanks to your federal tax dollars.

According to a report from a local ABC affiliate in Brownsville, the facility is currently

being converted into a shelter by a nonprofit organization called Southwest Key, which receives

the majority of its funding from federal tax dollars via the Office of Refugees Resettlement.

A Southwest Key spokeswoman confirmed the facility is set to open on March.

They said it�ll be to welcome unaccompanied minors who crossed into the U.S. illegally.

It will be the 4th facility in Brownsville to shelter children, under the age of 17,

who have crossed into the U.S. without an adult.

Southwest Key is federally funded by the Office of Refugees Resettlement.

The group�s mission is to provide a safe environment for unaccompanied children while

they wait to be reunited with a sponsor or relative in the U.S.

Southwest Key officials said children are supervised during their stay.

The program ensures youngsters have a safe place to sleep, are fed, educated and also

have access to healthcare and counseling services.

Of course, the report drew a lot of criticism from local Brownsville residents, many of

whom questioned whether the money shouldn�t be redirected to fund a shelter for veterans

and/or the homeless.

Key has an annual budget of $150 million and operates 27 shelters for illegal immigrants

in Texas, Arizona and California.

Per the Southwest Key website: Southwest Key Programs is a private, nonprofit

organization founded in 1987 to keep young people out of institutions and empower them

with the skills, knowledge and tools they need to succeed.

Through an exceptionally competent and diverse staff, Southwest Key empowers youth and their

families to make positive changes in their lives including at our 27 immigrant children�s

shelters in Texas, Arizona and California.

Southwest Key Unaccompanied Minor shelters operate as a self-contained unit, delivering

shelter, food, healthcare, education, recreation, case management and legal services to the

children in our care.

We are required by the federal government to provide everything that a child needs in

order to thrive in a humane and homelike environment.

As a result, there is little interaction between the children in our services and the surrounding

community, save for those businesses and employees engaged in their care on-site.

Healthcare: The overwhelming majority of medical services are done on site by Southwest Key�s

fully-staffed, licensed medical professionals who ensure the health of the children in our

shelters.

Every child receives a full, medical exam by a doctor within 24 to 48 hours of entering

our facilities, including receiving all the CDC recommended immunizations and being screened

for any infectious diseases.

Education: While in our care, all unaccompanied minors receive educational services.

Our presence in a community does not impact children in the local school system as our

kids receive all educational services separate and distinct from local children and they

never have an opportunity to interact with one another.

because it�s the same Southwest Key that drew criticism from Senator Chuck Grassley

back in 2014 for using taxpayer money to provide a petting zoo and guitar lessons to their

illegal immigrant residents at a cost of over $300 per child per day.

Per the Washington Times: One of the contractors housing some of the

surge of illegal immigrant children from this summer offers them a petting zoo with miniature

ponies, a tilapia fish farm operation and guitar lessons, according to documents released

Thursday by a senator who questioned whether the plush accommodations were a good use of

taxpayers� money.

Sen. Charles E. Grassley, Iowa Republican, said it seemed excessive to pay the $329 that

Southwest Key Programs, the contractor, charged per child per day at one of its California

facilities in Lemon Grove, California.

Another facility in El Cajon cost taxpayers $316 per child per day.

If you have plantar fasciitis you know what a pain it can be.

In this video I'm going to show you a simple stretch to get some quick relief

which for many people completely relieves the pain

Plantar fasciitis can go on for months or years if left untreated

The same types of stretches tend to be prescribed over and over again and they can help

But there's one stretch that is particularly effective and is the opposite of what they usually tell you to do

So, try this stretch before spending a lot of money on orthotics, or using an immobilizing boot

or trying surgery which can be a disaster

or steroid injections which help short term but long term can make you worse

and even cause you to rupture your plantar fascia!

This is an easy stretch to do

Just bring your foot up on your opposite leg and stretch your toes and ankle down

Hold for a few second and repeat 10-20 times.

You should feel a good stretch on the top of your foot and up on your shin.

You can also do this stretch be getting on your bed, couch or the ground and sitting on your heels.

If you need to you can put a pillow underneath you to make it more comfortable.

Try to stay in this position for 1 to 3 minutes

A lot of people get significant relief after just one time doing this stretch.

But keep at it every day, a few times a day to get lasting relief

What is God's Will for my life? - Duration: 2:35.

Asking what is God's Will for my life? is one of the most important questions you can

ever ask.

Because nobody wants to waste their life!

We all want to actually make a difference in our lives.

To find deep meaning and tap into what makes us come alive, we want to solve those injustices

that we are so passionate about.

We all want our lives to count, to actually make an impact in the world.

Did you know the #1 Deathbed regret….is "I wish I didn't live the life others

expected of me".

In other words, I wish I lived a life that was true to my heart!

So don't do that, don't aimlessly live a life that others want you to, live the life

God has called you to live.

But How do you do that?

By making your life about something much bigger than yourself…By leaving a legacy.

See sometimes a destiny can be selfish and only about you but a legacy is always about

others and something bigger than just you.

As Erwin McManus says, "The greatest danger in your life is to pursue a destiny that leaves

no legacy."

So, don't do that, don't pursue a destiny that's only about your own glory, pursue

one that's about God's glory.

1 Corinthians 10 tells us whatever we do, that we are to do it to the glory of God,

for the GLORY of God.

Another thing to remember is God's Will for your life is more general than it is specific.

Because there are MANY things God has given you the opportunity to walk into.

Colossians 3 says "Whatever you do, (or whatever you choose to do), do everything

in the name of the Lord Jesus."

That means in a way that honors Christ or in a way that conveys you belong to Christ.

See God's primary calling for you is to belong to Christ and to participate in his redemptive

kingdom work in the world.

And that applies to everyone…farmers, accountants, janitors, pastors…

There is no distinction between the sacred and secular.

A humble janitor can bring more honor and glory to God than a prideful pastor.

It's all about your heart more so than your job title.

It's important to note though that sometimes you have to try out new things.

Revelation 3 says "I have placed before you an open door".

See there are a variety of open doors you can walk into but choose the open door where

"the adventure of yes seems more alive than the safety of no."

In this video we'll be discussing the

Old North Church in Boston. Keep watching

for the light. One by land and 2 by sea.

Founded in 1722 the Old North Church or

Christ Church is located at 193 Salem

Street in Boston

It's Boston's oldest active church

building and historical site. It is one

of the famous sights on the Freedom

Trail. To get to the Old North Church by

the T or subway, take the T train- Red

or Green line and exit at Park Street

Stop. Follow the Freedom Trail

marked by a red brick ground path to the

Faneuil Hall area. Continue on to Hanover

Street in the North End of Boston. Then

you can cut through the Paul Revere Mall

noted by the famous Paul Revere

statue. Cross Unity Street and into the

gardens of the Old North Church

For additional directions and details go

page. The Old North Church historical

site tour are open January-February from

10am to 4pm. March to May from 9am to 5pm

June to October 9a.m.-6 p.m. in November

through December from 9am to 5pm. For

general entrance there is a (small) suggested

donation and with the donation you will

receive an official "one if by land two

if by sea" lantern sticker to wear which

grants you access to the church,

Captain Jackson's historic chocolate

shop, the printing office of Edes and Gill,

the restrooms, and the gardens. You can

stroll around the church or take the

Behind-the-Scenes tour. There is a modest

additional fee for the Behind-the-Scenes

tour. The tour requires climbing and

descending two flights of narrow steep

stairs. This 30-minute tour takes you

to the historic bell tower and into the

crypt below the church. You can reserve

your spot at the gift shop.

Tours are available every half-hour.

Self-guided, downloadable audio tours are

available for free
