Prosecutors questioning Park for second time at Seoul Detention Center - Duration: 2:09.
Prosecutors investigating the massive corruption scandal that has been gripping South Korea
for month are interrogating former President Park Geun-hye at the Seoul Detention Center
for a second time today.
It's expected they will also seek an extension of her detention this week.
Our Hwang Hojun reports.
A week after her arrest and just two days after round one,... prosecutors started their
second round of questioning of Park Geun-hye on Thursday at 10 a.m.
The session is again being led by chief prosecutor Han Woong-jae, who oversaw both the Tuesday
session and the one at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office two weeks ago before Park's
arrest.
Park is currently facing 13 charges.
Thursday's interrogation is expected to focus on the possible collusion between Park and
her confidante Choi Soon-sil in extorting more than 70 million U.S. dollars from conglomerates,
and in particular Samsung Electronics.
Prosecutors are also expected to ask her about her orders to former presidential aide Ahn
Jong-beom in relation to the two foundations controlled by Choi, and Park's role in the
creation and execution of a blacklist of cultural figures critical of the government.
During Tuesday's session, prosecutors questioned Park on the extortion and collusion charges,
which she reportedly denied, saying she was conspired against and did not know about Choi's
activities in pursuit of her own personal interest.
The session started at 10 a.m. continued until around 6 p.m., but it took another hour and
a half for Park to review the records of her statements.
Given the strict schedule at the detention center, it is likely Thursday's interrogation
will proceed on a similar schedule.
An official with the investigative team indicated on Wednesday that they may file a request
to extend Park's ten-day detention period.
If granted, prosecutors would be allowed to keep Park in detention for another ten days,
meaning they would have until April 19th to continue their investigation and file formal
charges against her.
Meanwhile, Choi Soon-sil, who was being held at the same detention center as Park, was
moved on Thursday to the Seoul Nambu Detention Center about 20 kilometers away to prevent
contact between the two.

Introducing the Korean Mastery Method for Daily Life - Duration: 4:46.
여러분, 안녕하세요? [Hi everyone]
Hey everyone it's Sam here, the founder of Korean Made Easy.
OK, so I want you to imagine yourself in the not-so-distant future.
Speaking flawless Korean.
Understanding Korean dramas and movies without any problems.
Being able to travel anywhere in Korea with ease.
And perhaps most importantly,
being able to communicate and build bridges
with millions of people who share a unique and interesting culture and history.
Sounds great, doesn't it?
Well about 10 years ago, I began learning Korean.
And back then, I had no idea how to go about it.
I didn't know where to begin, or what materials to use.
And I didn't know anyone who was learning the language,
so I couldn't get much support.
Since then, I've become fluent in Korean.
I've lived and traveled all over the country.
And I've made friends and had opportunities and experiences
that I could've only dreamed of just a few years before.
In 2014, I won first prize at an international Korean speaking competition.
That competition had participants from 44 different countries from all over the world.
And it was organized by KBS, Korea's national public broadcaster.
I got flown over to Seoul, and appeared on national radio.
I even got private Korean lessons with TV and radio announcers.
It was pretty cool.
And, you probably know that Korean is a very unique language,
and it's very different from English.
In fact, a lot of linguists call Korean a "language isolate",
which is a language not part of any family.
In other words, it's a language with little to no relationship with other languages.
There's a bit of a debate around this, but you kind of get the idea.
French is my native language, and I've studied other languages besides Korean,
including Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin Chinese
But I've found Korean to be very different from all of these other languages.
Korean is also regularly classified by organizations such as the U.S. Foreign Service Institute
as one of the hardest languages to learn for native English speakers.
Now when I began learning Korean,
what I found was that there really was a real lack of
relevant, tailored, and flexible learning resources out there.
Most of them were not really easy to use, and they were not very intuitive.
I noticed that there were a lot of methods that used a basic structure,
such as dialogues and exercises,
and that structure was almost the same
for every languages that these methods taught.
That includes a lot of popular methods that you've probably heard about.
Some of them are free.
Some of them cost hundreds of dollars.
But the point is,
what they do is they mass produce language learning products for consumption
by using the same approach.
All they have to do is change the translation to fit the language they're selling.
And you know what, that didn't work for me.
But I didn't get discouraged.
And in fact there's a zen proverb that I really love, and it goes like that:
"The obstacle is the path".
So without getting discouraged by the lack of great Korean learning resources,
I decided to develop my own personal method to learn the language.
I saw that as a challenge to overcome.
And that's basically how the Korean Mastery Method was born.
On the webpage you're looking at right now,
you'll see a lot of information about the Korean Mastery Method.
You'll see that I've built this method over years of practice and training,
and I've created a tailored and unique learning product to help you
bring your Korean to the next level.
Now, I'm not here to tell you that this method is for everyone.
In fact if you're a total beginner in Korean
it's probably not the best method to start with.
And if you're looking for a miracle product
that's going to let you learn a language in your sleep
well it's not that kind of method either.
What I want you to take away from all of the information
you see here on this page, though,
is that I've created the Korean Mastery Method
to directly meet your needs as a Korean learner.
And with the method's focus on the spoken language,
it's suited to those who want to make dramatic improvements in their fluency
within a relatively short amount of time.
I know you have high expectations.
And if you're not happy with the Korean Mastery Method,
I'll give you back your money.
It's that simple.
So I hope you'll give it a try,
and reach out to me with your questions,
and let me know what are some of challenges that you're facing right now
in your Korean learning journey.
I'm here to help, so send me an email, get in touch.
I'm looking forward to getting in touch with you guys.
And until then, talk to you soon.

Outsourcing Angel Love Project - Charity - Duration: 2:41.
- Hi, it's Linh here, and I'm here in the garden in Manila
and this is an example of what the organisation
that we've partnered with do.
So, TNB, this is what they do where they feed the kids.
They're just so grateful to be eating.
This is why Outsourcing Angel exists
because we really, you know,
we don't just look after each other, but we (screams),
oh my God, (mumbling and laughter).
Oh my God!
Tell me about yourself.
- Tell me about yourself.
(laughter)
Hi, I'm a Bimboy.
My name is Francisco Soque but you can
call me Bimboy for short.
I have two kids and one wife (laughs).
Within the project, we are so blessed with the partnership
because we believe that everyone (mumbling).
We have different churches, we have different belief,
we have different passion, but we have one goal.
We have one goal, this is to show how we love one another.
I'm thankful for Outsourcing Angel
because every month they will support our mission here
and for now, I think, (speaking foreign language).
Everything that they need, it will be supplied.
- I am so hurt because (laughs).
(mumbling) I have kids on my own
and so I can relate to each of these kids here.
That's the one-year-old that I have at home,
and this one-year-old here doesn't have
the things that my kids have.
And this little girl reminds me of my daughter
who's three and a half, at home,
and my daughter has everything and so,
oh, yeah, this really hurts me.
This is why I wanna do what I do.
Okay (laughs).
