Welcome to WARN, Todays News is.

India Looking for Substantial Make in India Content in T 90 Tanks.

Discussions have been held for some time in both the countries, the last round on March

18-19 in New Delhi.

India is looking at 464 MBTs in addition to some 850 the Indian Army already operates.

The deal is reportedly around $ Two billion, and will involve upgrades of the existing

tanks at the Heavy Vehicles Factory of the Ordnance Factories Board (OFB) at Avadi in

Tamil Nadu.

But this time, Transfer of Technology (ToT) will be a key component any agreement as per

the Indian Governments new Make in India policy to derive some offset gains for big

purchases.

The state-run Sputnik news agency has given some indications of the ongoing talks but

officially, representatives of Uralvagonzavod (UVZ), which makes the tank, and Rosoboronexport

(ROE), which handles the arms trade and exports, declined comment.

It may be noted that on March 18-19, the two countries held a Military-Technical Conference

covering a comprehensive exchange of views on upgrades of various Russian origin systems

in India, from aircraft to vehicles and ships.

The Indian Army plans to have nearly 1700 T 90 tanks by 2020.

On offer from Russia now is the advanced T 90MS variant which incorporates some of the

turret features of Next-Gen Armata tank developed for the Russian Army, Director of Moscow-based

Centre for Analyses of Strategies and Technologies (CAST) independent think tank, Dr Ruslan Pukhov,

told India Strategic.

According to him, it was high time for India and Russia to increase cooperation, but as

for Make in India involving deep transfer of technology, a lot would depend upon the

capabilities of Indian companies to absorb cutting edge technologies.

Take for example the case of older Konkurs anti-tank wire-guided missiles, Russia has

given full technology to India, but it could not absorb it.

Some of your defence labs and facilities are world class, some are lingering in the past,

Dr Pukhov said.

The first India-Russia Military Technical Conference held in New Delhi on March 17-18

was co-chaired by Defence Minister Arun Jaitley and Russian Industries and Trade Minister

Denis Manturov.

It was attended by 100 Russian and 150 Indian companies, both from public and private sectors.

Signing of a long term agreement on lifecycle support and maintenance of the Sukhoi Su-30MKI

air dominance fighters between HAL on the one hand and Russias United Aircraft Corporation

(UAC) and United Engines Corporation (UEC) on the other was a key highlight of the conference.

It was organised by the Department of Defence Production.

Russia is expected to supply spares and other equipment to the tune of US$ 300 million under

the Su-30MKI MRO deal.

Russia is ready to set up centres of competence across India for maintenance of Russian-origin

military hardware, Denis Manturov said, and called for the creation of five platforms

to manage defence cooperation between Russia and India: helicopter building, aircraft building,

shipbuilding, armour and anti-aircraft weapons.

Once details on specific arrangements are worked out, the two countries should be signing

inter-governmental agreements to facilitate requirements of various platforms with the

Indian armed forces.

Today in Military History: 4/08 - Japan seizes Bataan Peninsula - Duration: 1:17.

- Today in military history, 1942 the Japanese capture

most of the Bataan Peninsula in the Philippines.

The Japanese Imperial Forces attack on Pearl Harbor

was just the most dramatic part

of a much larger campaign in the Pacific.

In the Philippines,

this took the form of a Japanese air attack

on December 8th followed by an amphibious assault.

Over the following months,

the United States forces fought desperately

to hold the islands,

but by April 6th,

they were fighting against overwhelming odds.

On the morning of April 8th,

Japanese planes began hitting the line

and forcing the withdraw of the infantry

and their tanks on the right side.

That night, the U.S. dug a final line of defense

only to discover that the Japanese

already held ground on their flank.

The Seize of Bataan was essentially over

and the Japanese had won.

The next day, American Forces surrendered

and the Japanese forced the survivors

into what would later be known

as the Bataan Death March.

Approximately 76,000 prisoners,

including 12,000 Americans

were marched 60 miles in grueling conditions

with little water, food or rest.

Watch Michelle Phan Unbox Newest Em Cosmetics Beauty Products | Beauty With Mi | Refinery29 - Duration: 4:18.

I feel like this is...

not going to bode well for me.

Hey guys!

This is Mi-Anne and I'm here with someone

who really needs no introduction,

it's Michelle Phan!

I am dying.

Michelle was one of the OG Youtubers

that I started watching, what, six years ago

when I first got on…

A decade ago.

Yeah, she's been on Youtube for a decade!

We have something very exciting today.

Michelle's coming out with new products,

the first in four years, right?

This a rebirth of my beauty brand

that I acquired and now full control,

full leadership over

the branding, the products,

which we will now unveil.

Ah!

We're gonna be launching eight new lip shades

and two new liquid liners,

one felt and one brush tip.

Our eyeliners, they're inspired by art pens

because I went to illustration school so we

knew the value in investing in a really good pen.

So two eyeliners, liquid liners that we're launching.

One is felt tip and one is brush tip.

A brush tip is great if you want to have a

fluid line that's dynamic so going very

thin and very thick.

But with felt, it's great because felt gives

you a nice bolder, graphic line.

We have three looks that

we are going to do today.

I'm really excited about it.

Let's play with the lip first.

We'll build.

Okay.

We should do this as if we're actually getting

ready for an event.

We're creating a look.

I recommend like, don't overline or overdraw.

This isn't a liquid lipstick.

Start right around the bottom

and start building from there.

I like this color.

It's kind of a like a cool...

almost like a bold nude, you know?

Oh, it's beautiful on you.

You said that we can do other things

with this, right?

You can use it as a blush?

Yes.

I'm gonna do it in the same color,

go for that monochromatic look.

Oh wait, they blend so nicely.

It has a matte finish, so it's not gonna

look greasy or anything.

But it has hydrating benefits where

it's not gonna feel drying.

Usually before I pat,

I warm up my fingertips really fast.

Just to get more blood there and then with

the heat, then you can just go in.

So we just did lips and cheeks.

Let's do the last and final look.

Yes.

Are you down for eyeliner?

I'm not wearing eyeliner right now and

I feel very naked.

This is the brush.

You have so much room to just play with.

This is the felt.

You see how the line here,

it's not as dynamic right?

It's not as thick and thin.

If you have a certain line,

if you want a straight edge line or that graphic look,

this is your baby.

But, if you want to master both,

I mean that's what I do.

I use both.

Don't be afraid of liquid liners.

I know that they can come off as intimidating,

but if you can draw a line,

you can use a liquid liner.

Doesn't it look so good?

Oh my gosh!

It looks so good.

The flicks are so crisp.

Beautiful!

This felt one, if you want,

you can use it to darken that outer line.

It does have a lot of pigment in it.

Are you down to do like a graphic--

Yes!

I love graphic eyes!

I wing my eyeliner like I wing my life.

As you're drawing out the line, you wanna

create tiny little dashes first so that you

have less room for mistakes and from there,

start connecting the lines and keep it fluid.

Let your hand do all the movement and follow

your natural crease line.

Then we can just darken it.

Yeah?

Why not, right?

Thicker or just more opaque?

Just more opaque.

So the reason why a lot of people,

they like to keep their mouth open…

There's a reason behind that?

I thought that was just like, a thing.

It relaxes the face muscle,

when you open your mouth.

Oh!

That's cute.

Oh my gosh.

The graphic eye is done.

I love it.

It's so opaque, the color.

Was it easy to do?

And apply?

It was actually pretty easy to do.

I am obsessed with this look.

Thank you so much for giving us a little sneak

peak on this collection which is launching

on the 17th, right?

Yes, on the 17th.

Thank you so much dude!

Thank you!

Such a weird moment for me.

Like, I literally used to watch your old videos.

It's crazy.

Thank you guys so much for watching me

get glammed up with Michelle.

Delivering Meals with Love for 20 Years - Duration: 2:56.

I'm Prabhakar Parikh. That's a Sanskrit word; it means "Sun."

I had known about MIFA because of reading the newspaper and all.

And I was here when Martin Luther King was assassinated.

I knew about MIFA, how it was formed, and all that,

so as soon as I got an opportunity I just came in.

My grandson, his name is Roshan. He is 15 years old now.

And my granddaughter is Megha. She is 13 years old.

But they came with me when they were maybe 5, 6 years old, or some such thing.

They were very young. They came.

Well we come here and get the meals from them. Put in the box, put in the car, and on my way.

In the morning you go and see those people and deliver the meals. Some of the people, you talk with.

Some of them just say "hello, good morning," whatever.

"MIFA!"

"Those, your children, your grandchildren?" "Yeah, he would like to play some music for you." "Oh!" "Is that ok?"

♪♪♪♪

I came in Memphis in 1961 so I am more Memphian than a lot of people in Memphis.

So a lot of people we know, and I talk to some of them much.

And a lot of people have gone.

Some people, we sort of got emotional and we knew them very well and then, when they go, we got emotional,

but it was a really nice journey.

"Oh that sounds good. That sounds good!"

"Hi!"

I just basically like volunteering. And talking to people. And MIFA seems to be a really good way to do it.

There is just a personal satisfaction.

Know Who's In It For The Long Run - Duration: 1:31.

Hey guys this is the Chief and this is a

video to all of you people in the MadLab

group who are trying to make a

difference in people's lives every day

you're going to run into some people who

think they care, but really don't give a

shit about getting help for themselves

all they really want to do is get a six

week bikini body bootcamp challenge and

then quit and blame everybody else for their

problems, but what you guys need to do is

realize that we can't attach ourselves

to every one of these people, we can't

let these people bring us down. Because

these people don't want help

themselves and so for you guys what you

need to do is find that people who

really do want the help, the people who

are willing to go above and beyond the

call of duty, the people who don't care

about the six-week challenge, the people who care

about the health and wellness and their

lives, the people who are willing to

share their doctors information with you

talk back and forth, work on this

long-term commitment. The people who tell you

themselves they understand that this is

a long-term commitment. These are the

people you attach yourself to, these are

the people who really need the help and

these are the people we should focus on

so get rid of the people who don't think

they need help (or are looking for the current flavor of the week), talk to them in a consult

and if they're asking you

questions like: how quickly can I get

results, how quickly, how blah blah blah

blah...I did this, I did this, I did this

You'll notice a pattern of failure. Get

rid of the failures and start getting

into the people who really care, the

people who want to succeed and the

people who are willing to do it no

matter what it takes. Hopefully this was

helpful, don't let the people who don't

care bring you down and focus on the

people who really do care and the people

who are willing to do anything to make a

difference!

Sean Spicer - Stop Shaking your Head - Take NO for an Answer - Duration: 3:40.

hi I'm with all these investigations

questions of what is is how does this

administration try to revamp its image

two and a half months in you've got the

shared story today you got other things

going on you got Russian you've got you

got wiretap and you got you know we

don't have that you you I don't know one

Capitol Hill I no no I get it but you

keep I've said it from the day that I

got here until whatever there is no

connection you've got Russia if the

president puts Russian salad dressing on

his salad tonight somehow that's a

Russian connection but every single

person no I you and well no that's I

appreciate your agenda here but the

reality is uh no no hold on no at some

point report the facts the facts are

that every single person who has been

briefed on this subject has come away

with the same conclusion Republican

Democrat so I'm sorry that that disgusts

you you're shaking your head I

appreciate it but but I thought okay but

understand this that at some point the

facts are what they are and every single

person who has been briefed on the

situation with respect to the situation

with Russia Republican Democrat Obama

appointee career have all come to the

same conclusion at some point April

you're going to have to take no for an

answer with respect to whether or not

there was collusion how do you change

the perception people we r we going to

keep doing everything we're doing to

make sure that the president that what

the president told the American people

he was going to do to fulfill those

pledges and promises that he made to

bring back jobs to grow the economy to

keep our nation safe that's what he's

been focused on since day one we're

going to keep focusing on that every

single day

condi rice did not support this

president she did not go to innovation

she cums what is on the agenda and and

how was their relationship has it healed

since 2006 when he used a very negative

words here's what I'll tell you it's

interesting that you ask those two

questions back to back on the one hand

you're saying what are we doing to

improve our image and then here he is

once again meeting somebody that hasn't

been a big supporter of his hold on

negative no but you put April hold on

you you it seems like you're hell-bent

on trying to make sure that whatever

image you want to tell about this White

House stays because at the end of the

day let me in I am ok we're but we know

what you're asking me a question and I'm

going to answer which is the president

I'm sorry please stop shaking your head

again but at some point the reality is

that this president continues to reach

out to individual who supported him who

didn't support them Republicans

Democrats to try to bring the country

together and move forward on an agenda

that's going to help every American

that's it plain and simple so if you're

asking what we're doing i think we

continue to do it which is to bring

groups together that have been

supportive of them that haven't been

support of them but to share a goal

which is finding common ground on areas

of national security of personal

security of economic security of job

creation of safer communities of

education of health care that can unite

us as a country and make the country

stronger until it's in fri i think

they're go I'm not ready to do 18 when

we're done with that we'll see if we can

have a readout I understand that we're

not at friday yet I will have a readout

when that's done I know the pool needs

to get to the advanced for the for the

signing thank you I'll be back tomorrow

we're gonna do five days in a row this

week lazy

Episode 11: DDT and Malaria: Why India has a lower rate of Infection - Duration: 3:06.

Mosquito born illnesses have had worldwide media attention lately due to the Zika scare,

however there are many illnesses, not as politically popular as Zika that have plagued

countries for years and killed millions of people. Malaria is one of these diseases.

Here to talk to us about the success India has had in combating mosquito born illnesses

is Vijay Jayaraj the Research Associate for Developing Countries for the Cornwall

Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation.

Vijay, how do international environmental policies impact the fight against diseases in developing

countries like India?

One of the more visible impacts of radical environmental policies is the impact it has

had on the control of diseases in developing countries.

Consider Malaria for example. One of the major reasons for its prevalence is the banning

of DDT by the radical environmentalists (DDT being the most effective solution for curbing

mosquito populations).  India is not new to mosquito borne diseases.

Malaria, Dengue, and other diseases are still very prevalent in many parts of the country. Fortunately,

India still uses DDT in its fight against mosquitoes. DDT is currently being produced

only in three countries: India, China, and North Korea.

But countries in South America and Africa have seen an increase in mosquito borne diseases

because of the ban on DDT. As a result, mosquito borne diseases cause the deaths of more than

2.5 million people every year, with the majority being from Africa and South America.

People in developing countries have inadequate and unprotected housing which leaves them

vulnerable to these diseases. Those who are poor cannot afford advanced healthcare. These policies that

put radical environmentalist ideology above the needs of human beings, will continue

to be the direct cause of millions of deaths if not changed.

Fighting for You: Update on Health Care Bill Revival - Duration: 1:00.

Guys, I have some breaking news for you.

We're getting word about a possible backroom deal

in Washington on health care.

Remember that bad bill we helped defeat last month?

Well, special interests are trying to bring it back.

And this new version is even worse.

It still has all the bad stuff from before,

like the age tax that could charge people age 50 to 64

up to $13,000 more a year.

But it now eliminates protections for anyone with a preexisting condition

like cancer or heart disease.

Look, we made it clear to Congress this was unacceptable,

but some of them are now waffling and thinking of supporting this bad bill.

We need you to pick up the phone, go to your local town hall meetings,

and tell them, "No way."

They need to oppose this backroom deal.

And remind them: You are their constituent,

you vote, and you will hold them accountable.

Bring It Back to Barnard for Reunion 2017, June 1–4 - Duration: 2:31.

I walked into this green gate in September of 1949.

I left highly educated, I felt.

To constantly be surrounded by, you know,

so many smart women who had so many different

experiences than I did, you know, from all over the world.

I came here in 1968. I wasn't connected to the school,

I was connected to a group of women that are phenomenal and have been with me my whole life.

The friendships that I developed here has turned into life-long friendships and support groups.

We have a synergy together.

Every time I meet someone who is a fellow Barnard graduate,

they have such incredible stories to tell, and you have this instant connection.

Reunion is a positive word.

It's the unification again of people who once were together.

It's similar to reading a really good book

and years later you go back to it,

and you're seeing details in the book

that you did not see the first time around.

I'm proud of how the college has progressed.

Barnard has made tremendous strides.

I am definitely coming back to Reunion

and I can't believe it's already been five years.

This is a milestone year for me. This is our 45th reunion.

I think by the time the 25th reunion roll around

we're all at the stage where we're more comfortable in ourselves.

This is our 65th reunion. We graduated in 1952.

I come back to Reunion every year now.

It's a weekend of activities and I think it's a great time

to be on campus, to be in New York.

I think it's just going to be such an encouraging weekend,

such an inspiring weekend.

The general excitement of being with other Barnard women is there.

When they start to talk, you can hear those voices.

You can remember how they thought,

how they laughed, how they loved, how they studied.

You can reach back to that place, to that commonality.

This is really a great opportunity

just to kick back, have some fun,

see so many old faces, remember some things

that maybe you wish you didn't remember, you know,

laugh about all the good times.

It reaffirms to me that you're Barnard forever.

I think it's so important that we take the opportunity

to remember the importance of the friends that we gained at Barnard

because these people, I know that they're going to be with me

for the rest of my life.

And plus everybody wants to see you, whoever it is.

Get a little rest, and get yourself together,

and get yourself on a plane, and bring a companion,

clear your calendar, and come back to Barnard.
