Chelsea are favourites to complete the signing of Real Madrid's talented starlet Marcos Llorente as the Blues look to bring in some late additions to their squad ahead of the transfer window deadline.
The Daily Star report that Antonio Conte's side are desperate to spend some more money ahead of the deadline and are readying a move for Llorente who they believe could be a replacement for the departed £40m Nemanja Matic, (fee per ESPN).
A conflicting start to the season has lead many to question Chelsea's strength in depth after a somewhat frustrating transfer window. Losing Matic to title rivals Manchester United has aggravated many Chelsea supporters while simultaneously bewildering neutrals.
As an integral part to their title victory last season it was a strange move to allow the Serbian to join such a close rival with what appeared to be little effort at persuading Matic to stay.
It remains to be seen as to whether Llorente will be able to fill Matic's boots at Stamford Bridge with the midfielder being just 22 years of age and therefore lacking the experience that the Serbian stalwart could boast.
We can expect the Blues to complete a lot of business in the lead up to the window closing and time will tell as to whether Llorente will leave the Spanish capital for Conte's Chelsea.

What Happens Next Had Me In Tears..
A mum was reduced to tears when she asked for a 'sign' from her little boy on the
anniversary of his death – and got one later that day at his grave.
Marie Robinson, 45, from Waterlooville, lost her son Jack on April 1, 2014.
Jack had been diagnosed with a brain tumour in January of the same year.
He died at the age of four, leaving behind his identical twin brother, Liam, and his
three older sisters.
Marie had been finding last week difficult, knowing the third anniversary of his death
was approaching.
On Saturday, three years on from losing him, she asked for a 'sign'.
Marie told Mirror Online: "Early Saturday morning I got in the car and said out loud,
'Jack, please show Mummy a sign' and thought I'll see him after I finished work.
"At 1pm I left work and walked up to his resting place.
I was overcome with emotion and I sat on the grass next to Jack.
"With that a little robin kept flying around me trying to land on me, eventually landing
on my foot – he didn't seem scared at all.
"He went and sat on a nearby headstone so I got my phone out to film him being close
to me and he flew over and landed on my hand.
"He kept looking at me directly in my face and at one point he landed on my shoulder
and nibbled me a couple of times."
She shared the video on Facebook, saying: "Can't believe what's just happened,
come (sic) to see my precious boy Jack – just sat down on ground next to him and this happened.
"Yes it brought me to tears.
Taking it as a sign from Jack."
Robins are often seen in the spiritual community as a symbol that loved ones are still there.
The Spiritual Centre website explains: "This bird is a visitor and as such should be appreciated
as a welcome visitor bringing gifts, it is for you to interpret the gifts it brings.
"Someone recently passed may be showing you that you are being watched, maybe just
letting you know that they still love you."

Arsenal have received a fresh loan offer from Levante for striker Lucas Perez, who is also a target for Deportivo La Coruna and Newcastle United.
Perez is looking to leave the club after just one frustrating season at Arsenal and has received assurances from Arsene Wenger that he will make it easy for him to part ways.
However, with six days left in the window Perez remains an Arsenal player and the Gunners have already rejected a €12m bid from the striker's former club Deportivo La Coruna.
In total, seven clubs are interested in Perez, including Newcastle, but there is fresh interest in him from newly promoted La Liga outfit Levante and according to Spanish daily La Voz de Galicia, the club have submitted a loan offer for the striker.
It has claimed that Levante have offered to sign the striker on loan from Arsenal for an initial loan fee of €1m and have promised to pay another €2m based on Perez's performances and if they survive in La Liga this season.
Levante are also prepared to take full charge of the player's salary, which Arsenal have been insisting on any deal to allow Perez to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Perez is still keen to return to former club Deportivo, but with Levante interested, he has one more option on his table should Arsenal agree to loan him out.

Despite being interested in Sporting's William Carvalho for years, Arsenal reportedly won't rival West Ham's alleged £37. 5m bid for the midfielder.
Arsenal have been linked with Carvalho for years. However, according to journalist Charles Watts, the Gunners won't be rivaling West Ham's alleged club record £37.5m bid for the defensive midfielder.
"Arsenal have been looking at Carvalho for a long time, so have other top clubs," said Watts for Football London.
"But there has always been something that has stopped anyone making a move for him. "His playing style is not that easy on the eye, so perhaps Wenger doesn't feel he would fit in at Arsenal.
"But the fact he may well end up at West Ham tells its own story really. "Despite plenty of big clubs looking at him, no-one made a move.
As Watts says, it's quite telling that the 25-year-old, after being heavily linked with Arsenal for so long, will eventually end up going to West Ham since no one else has actually come forward with a solid offer.

Carvalho has three years left on his deal at Sporting, where he's come through the ranks after joining them in 2005 from Mira Sintra. Last season, the Portugal international made 43 appearances over all competitions.

At the moment, it doesn't look as if Arsenal are going to sign any more players between now and the end of the transfer window on 31 August.
They've signed former Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette, for a club record fee of £52m, but other than that everything else has gone quiet and there are more players heading out the exit than coming in.

A high school cheerleading coach and multiple administrators are under investigation this week after footage surfaced of a student in Colorado being held down in a split position by a coach and her teammates.
The young woman featured below is crying out in pain and begging all around her to stop. They have all been placed on leave based on the disturbing video below and what it depicts.
It depicts Williams, who is in his first year as coach, holding a cheerleader down by her shoulders, despite the clear pain she is in.
(The same technique was allegedly used with eight other cheerleaders, but this video was the only one released by news stations. The footage was shot on a cell phone camera by two team members and sent to 9 News anonymously this month.
However, it is believed that East High administrators have known about at least one of these videos since June. "It was tearing my ligament and my muscle at the same time," 13-year old Ally Wakefield tells News 9, adding of her coach:.
"He was pushing down on the back of my right leg. He was pushing like with his other knee on my back to try to keep my posture straight.".
This is a grown man pushing my 13-year-old girl so hard against her will while she's crying and screaming for him to stop that he's ripping tissues in her body.
An email Wakefields mom sent to the school back on June 15 reads as follows:.
I have attached a video of the forced splits she and her other team members were forced to do at cheerleading camp and practices; unless they had a doctor's note. This is how Ally injured her leg.
My husband and I would like to know what the administration is going to do about my daughter's injury and how it happened.
