Waching daily Jan 4 2017

We are back to the Natural Stone Outlet videos.

On today's video we're going to talk about Travertine Noce.

This is a brown travertine from Turkey.

There is some demand. There's a growing demand actually.

And we are going to explain a bit about this stone.

Let's have a look.

So, right here we have the vein-cut Noce Travertine, Travertine Noce.

So, essentially we have the vein running along the surface.

This is how the blocks are sawn. They're sawn like this. You get the slabs with the vein-cut.

And this is the final result.

So, the vein will run parallel along the surface and this is what you see at the end.

You know, this kind of result. This kind of parallel veinage structure.

There is some slight colour tone variation between light brown and dark brown.

But you know, it's all very predictable, very uniform.

So this is what you get.

These samples here, they are polished and honed. They are filled.

Down there, they are unfilled so you can see more or less, what to expect with this kind of stone.

It can be either or filled or unfilled.

And on this case we have a vein-cut structure.

On that side. we're going to show you at the cross-cut variation.

So, the cross-cut variation essentially what it does...

We turn the blocks, we sawn the slabs and you don't get any vein, any parallel vein.

Instead you get these clouded areas, which are a bit irregular.

But not showing any kind of vein.

So, you'll get some lighter colored areas, darker colored areas.

It's a bit brownish. It's a bit yeah, the colour of the Noce Travertine.

Basically.

But yeah this is a structure you can expect.

Clouded, a bit messy, a bit unpredictable.

So, here we have samples that are honed.

These are polished. So, you can see more or less what to expect.

On the top, we have filled. On the bottom, we have unfilled.

So, just like the vein-cut, the cross-cut can also be supplied filled or unfilled.

Both are very common types of stones, with a lot of demand.

So, in case you would like to know any more information about the Noce Travertine.
