You got an application down here?
[INAUDIBLE]
Let me get the application for this young man outside.
- OK. - OK.
We've come a long way the last couple of weeks.
We close to being open.
Now all we got to do is finish hiring and start cooking.
Excuse me about this week.
We're in our last minute stuff right now trying to get open.
I was over in North Hollywood right
before you guys was trying to open up the store,
and I ran into your nephew. - OK.
Y'all live down this way though?
- Yeah. - OK.
What's the situation for you, though?
Got a certain [INAUDIBLE], yeah?
He's coming from the court, probation.
OK.
You're on probation? - Yeah.
It's a blessing being able to provide jobs for people that
have been in trouble before, because sometimes I
feel like this is the only opportunity they may have.
No one else is going to give them a shot.
How are your probation officer acting with you?
He's cool right now.
He's doing a whole lot better, and I'm glad.
I'm just staying on the right path.
Man, I know it's hard, man.
You got a lot of temptation out there in the streets.
So it's hard to stay out of.
Believe me, I've been there.
I understand.
Has your probation officer told you you
need to find a job or anything? - Yeah.
I told him about it because I was looking.
You have no job to help you out with your probation officer.
A lot of jobs, they don't want to work with your flexibility,
and they don't want to give you any flexibility
as far as your schedule.
I understand, because sometimes when
you got a probation officer, they want you to do things.
So that being said--
- Stay occupied. - Yeah.
And do busy.
What's the saying, an idle hand is the devil's workshop.
I'm going to put my personal email
and I'm going to put my phone number down here, OK?
So after you fill it out, email it to me.
We'll try and figure something out
and get you in here two days a week, whatever you can do.
Work it out with your school's schedule.
The school is most important. - Yeah.
But then we got to keep that program-- probation officer
happy too so you going--
For real.
You have to.
Every time I open a restaurant,
that's around 50 jobs, and that's 50 people here that
don't have to go out there and do some [BLEEP]
and end up back in jail.
Stay out of trouble, man.
That suit look good on you, but I
don't want you to have to be going to court
and put a suit on. You know what I'm saying?
All right. Thanks.
All right.
Thank you, ma'am.
