Hey what's up shark jungle is here , In this video I'm gonna do a full review on the Official
Android Nougat release for galaxy S7 , the review is 7 parts to let you know everything
about it , if you didn't update to nougat then make sure to watch my video on how to

Installation I've done a detailed tutorial on how to install
android nougat on your device and weather you gonna need ODIN or not, Make sure to watch
it, The tutorial link is in the video description.
Performance -For the first time on Samsung devices you
can choose the performance profile you need -There are 4 profiles (optimized which is
the default mode, Game,entertainment,and high performance)
-Some of you will ask me if I noticed any change in speed between the 4 modes mmmm,Galaxy
S7 is a very fast and powerful device so you may not feel any difference between modes
if you are an average user but for instance if you are a gamer you will feel that difference
specially if you gonna play high graphic games.
-I've done a benchmarking test while performance mode is active to check the device performance
and to make a comparison between Nougat and Marshmallow
It scored on antutu 130k which is almost the same like marshmallow
-RAM management is great , you can run more than 5 APPs in the background and switch between
them very fast and you also still able to run more APPs at the same speed regardless
how much ram space you have.
Sensors
- all the sensors responding nicely accelerometer , Gyscope, light sensor, Proximity sensor,
step detector , Of course Samsung won't release any software that make the sensors buggy but
this won't prevent me from checking everything by myself.
GPS antenna is perfect , It chaches a 3D fix while indoor in less than 30 seconds and the
accuracy is very very good for navigation.
-Battery Life battery usage is subjective and will vary
from user to another , But For me since using Android Nougat Beta
, I've always got more than 5 hours SOT while Normal Mode is Active which give me an extra
30 minutes compared to Android Marshmallow so There is no huge diffrence in battery usage
between both versions and as you see I'm showing you my previous
usage on marshmallow and Nougat , The best part in android Nougat is that you can lower
the screen resolution which give you the ability to reduce your power consumption to save more
battery.
-Power saving mode is available with 2 options 1-Medium power saving mode
2-Maximum power saving mode which is the same like upsm but with a different user interface.
Gaming performance is awesome as it was in MM
-You still have game launcher and you can adjust gaming performance settings as you
used to do before.
-game tools have the same features but in this version you can see the recent Apps on
the right side of the screen -I've tested some high graphic games and all
of them running nicely no lags or stutters or slow responses
-You can get the best gaming experience by activating Game Mode , which is completely
new feature in Android Nougat.
Features Part
-This is the Lock screen with two App shortcuts and you can change those shortcuts or turn
them off if you want.
-Right swipe on home screen for up day -Theme store new software is available and
you have all its features free wallpapers , themes and icons to change
your device appearance completely - Here is your Widgets
-and 3 Screen grid -Press and hold any App on the home screen
will show pop up menu which is much easier to control your Apps ( disable it or put it
to sleep) -Home screen adjustments still the Same like
marshmallow -Those are the Apps you will got after installing
Nougat beta ( Samsung Apps, Google Apps, Microsoft Apps)and some extra social Apps
android pay is available but I'm not sure if iy's working or not
-This is the power menu, No changes -Volume control menu
-one hit on menu button will brig the Recents as you see it looks slimmer
-To activate split screen , just drag any window to the top of the screen then choose
any APP that supports multi-window -To activate pop up window drag the window
to the center of the screen -You can switch between the recent APPs by
douple tab on the menu button.
-Pressing and hold menu button will bring the recents and if you want to enable split
screen make sure to turn it on from the advanced features then multi window and turn on split
screen view action , now press and hold the menu button to use th split screen action
.
-You still have the ability to use POP up view by swiping from both corners on the top
of the screen but it is off by default so if you want to use this feature make sure
to turn it on from the advanced features -One handed operation can be accessed by gesture
or pressing the home button three times just enable one handed operation and choose
gesture then swipe from either bottom corner -Notification toggles has been changed completely
from samsung TW UI to be like Stock Android devices
-the first swipe will show 6 toggles and ,10 Toggles in landscape and this called quick
access bar -the second swipe will show all the notification
toggles and the brightness slider
-you can show the brightness slider in the quick access bar by turning on showing control
on top -Quick pull down with two fingers still is
available -you can edit toggles layout according to
your needs , you have three layouts to choose from
-You can reorient the toggles using the three dot menu and hit edit and arrange them as
you want -If you press any title under the toggle you
will access to more settings related to the selected toggle
-Blue light filter is available and you can control the opacity as you want to use your
device at night.
-Private mode, Screen mirroring all those running with out any problem
-The settings menu is just like Note 7 grace ui and I've taled about it throughly on Android
Nougat beta review . -AOD new software with all the new layouts
,all third party icons can appear on AOD -You can double tab on any icon to open it
and this feature was only available on note 7 devices , now you have it your Galaxy S7
-Device maintenance is completely new feature -It will optimize your device very fast and
it is much better than smart manager , It can detect any App that consumes a lot of
power and put it sleep . -5 shortcuts for battery , Performance mode
, storage , RAM and device security -You still don't have the ability to format
SD card as internal adoptable storage.
-Finger print response is great as before and I didn't notice any improvement or any
different response -Camera software has a different layout and
gestures but all the options still the same -Swipe right for camera modes
-swipe left for effects -Swipe up or down to switch between front
and back cameras -All the modes are working,Image and video
quality are the same as MM firmware.
Bugs and fixes All Bugs we've been experienced in Android
Beta now is gone , So it was a very good step from Samsung to start the beta program.
