[Upbeat music]
I guess what I would like to show
Is um, for most of my life I've been a
My favorite part of ACI was to get to know
other people who are autistic as well.
Personally I think like being there, being
here and actually experiencing and seeing
other autistic people is just really
awesome.
I've never been in a place where
I've connected with people so quickly and
just been understood and that has been a
really really incredible experience.
Learning how to just be in the adult
world, also learning how to have some
sort of agency.
You have a community of autistic people
and like disabled people and
neurodivergent people and everything
I really liked being in a huge group of
autistic people instead of just you know
being the only one in my group.
I'm here to find myself and also to
have better leadership skills how to
advocate more effectively being a
little bit more self assured, a little
more confident.
after this week I feel a lot more
confident of myself as an autistic person.
And I feel like I am in the right place.
We learned about how to organize
the goals that we have so that we can
actually get things accomplished.
Because a lot of the things that I wanted
to accomplish it felt too big for me so
now they feel a lot more manageable.
And we also learned how to leverage
social media in a meaningful way.
With here, with ACI what I learned is it
is really important for me to become a
better leader and to be able to educate
others.
I like learning how to like
navigate politics and just sort of
being a part of that process.
To be honest you know the School House
Rock I really had no idea how it works
you know how you get a bill to actually be
passed by you know by actual methods and
so of like a way to bring advocacy into
learning how to be in the adult world
We, you're active, you move as a group.
And in the room, and you can commit and
like accomplish great things that can
help pass along information about
some biz, biz that we don't want and
some biz that we do want that
will help everyone.
knowing that it's important to
continually instill that history, to
continually learn about that history and
also continue making that history.
Like spreading awareness and what's
important.
To also spread acceptance.
We learned about the history of the
disability rights movement and the
history of the neurodiversity movement
and I also liked the discussions about
autistic culture because I think that's
something that isn't discussed enough and
that I would really like to build on.
Before I came to ACI I thought that to be
a leader you had to have a certain kind
of personality and that was one that I
didn't have.
I didn't think that I, as
someone with a disability, could change
anything, and now that I've been around
all these other people that share my views
and I've learned how to effectively
communicate what I feel about these issues
there isn't any use in being sad.
Had some sessions on things like policy
making and planning, some networking,
things like that.
I really liked when we had dinner with
professionals and getting to meet
notable people.
I went to speak to the
staff people of Senator Barbra Boxer
and senator Diane Feinstien.
We talked to the congressional
representatives, to disabled professionals
and knowing what their experiences were
like.
We're pretty fortunate we went
out for dinner last night and you know,
we didn't care what people thought and
we were pretty loud but we were talking
about our special interests so much.
My favorite part of ACI was whenever I got
an opportunity to talk in smaller groups
because I felt like I was able to get to
know each other better that way.
I really
liked the community and how everyone
was openly being themselves.
The most interesting session for me was
definitely the one about student
communities and groups.
I'm planning on going back to my home town
and start an ASAN chapter.
I'm going to definitely be more active be
a leader in my my community.
You know
be the change that I want to see.
to change the attitudes toward autism
so that hopefully it can improve the
ethics and improve the research quality
and I think that's just really helpful.
We have an organization that exists on
campus but I often deal with tokenism
because I'm the only person of color
in that organization.
I want people to not
feel invalidated, Like if they're autistic
or not autistic enough.
It's really
important to be open about your identity
I'm going to take what I've learned about
social activism and disability rights back
to my campus.
Eventually I would like to go back to my
campus and start a cross disability
coalition.
absolutely I would recommend ACI to
other autistic college students
I definitely would.
Oh yeah yes totally.
Yeah definitely.
I've learned a lot, there's like a whole
breadth of things so far I think is just
really helpful.

Recessed Lighting - Do You Have Room to Install Recessed Lights? - Duration: 1:27.
Recessed Lights: I want to install recessed lights in my home, but don't know if I have
enough space.
What should I use?
Welcome to burning questions.
I'm Mark and that is your burning question for today.
[ music playing ]
Recessed lighting has come a long way especially in the last couple years with the evolution
of the LED light fixtures.
We find in most cases that your traditional recessed lights will work in most spaces.
But if you don't have a clearance for your average recess can lights, what we would recommend
is a light fixture that we just recently used in a basement project.
We had less than a 5 inch clearance.
So we used a 2 inch aperture LED light by Juno.
So let's take a look and see what we have.
[grabbing light part ] We have a 2-inch apeture with a flexible driver
which makes the installation like a dream.
it's a lot easier to get into a much tighter space.
And I think you will be very pleasantly surprised on how much light and warmth from the light
that this little 2 inch fixture will give off in your living space.
So please send in more of your Burning Questions and I will put them out.

MINDY: ROBBIN BROWN HAS A
CHRONIC INFLAMATORY DISEASE
CALLED SARCADOISIS.
IT CAUSES GLUACOMA IN HER EYES
BUT THAT'S NOT HER ONLY CONCERN.
IT ALSO COMPROMISES HER IMMUNE
SYSTEM.
>> WITH A CHRONIC ILLNESS AND
PUT ME AT RISK FOR ANY TYPE OF
INFECTION.
MINDY MERCY MEDICAL CENTER'S DR.
: MARC LEAVEY SAYS THAT INCLUDES
SEPSIS WHICH IS VERY SERIOUS AND
CAN LEAD TO ORGAN FAILURE.
>> IT IS AN OVERWHELMING
INFECTION THAT ULTIMATELY CAN
CAUSE DEATH.
IT CAN COME FROM A VARIETY OF
SOURCES AND HITS A VARIETY OF
PEOPLE.
MINDY THOSE MOST AT RISK INCLUDE
: ADULTS OLDER THAN 65, CHILDREN
UNDER ONE, AND ANYONE WITH A
WEAKENED IMMUNE SYSTEM.
THE DEATH RATE FROM SEPSIS CAN
BE ANYWHERE FROM 25 TO 50%.
SO RECOGNIZING SYMPTOMS AND
TAKING ACTION RIGHT AWAY ARE
VITAL.
>> IF YOU ARE HAVING THE SIGNS
OF AN INFECTION, FEVER,
WEAKNESS, AND LIKE THAT, SEEK
MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.
YOU OUGHT TO BE IN THE HOSPITAL

ANTIBIOTICS.
MINDY ROBBIN IS VERY COGNIZANT

SEPSIS BUT DOESN'T LET IT BOTHER
HER.

SUPPOSED TO DO SO I AM NOT AT

JUST IN TERMS OF HYGIENE,
WASHING YOUR HANDS, TAKING
VITAMINS TO HELP INCREASE MY
DEFENSE SYSTEM BUT IT IS NOT
SOMETHING I FOCUS ON.

Ariana Grande is a Final Fantasy Character Now? | Give It Thought - Duration: 3:07.
Welcome back to Give It Thought.
As always, I'm Jake and let's get right into this story.
That's what you came here for, right?
It looks like Nickelodeon star turned pop star, Arianna Grande, will be making an appearance
in the mobile game, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.
Her Character will be featured in the game wearing that same bunny suit she wore on her
newest album… oh, wait that's Frank from Donnie Darko.
My mistake, THIS bunny suit.
I really got to hire a new editor.
Like I said, this is the same bunny suit she wore for her latest album, Dangerous Woman.
Arianna Grande announced her appearance in the game on Instagram and showed off a picture
of her meeting with Square Enix executives where they likely went over the character's
design and how she could promote the game because, let's be real, this is a promotional
stunt.
I don't know, this guy right here looks like a HUGE Ariana Grande fan, so this could
be a dream of his.
Don't judge.
But there's no word on when her character will make an appearance in the game or how
players will be able to recruit the latex-bunny-suit clad character into their party.
We also got a sneak-peek of her character's sprite in action via Arianna Grande's Instagram
where it shows her character will be musically oriented.
As you can see, two sprites, both on the far middle left and upper right are using musical
attacks it seems like.
As far as I can tell her character will be named DW in-game and won't use her actual
name.
This is not the first time Square Enix has brought in a pop star to help get their flagship
franchise some recognition.
For Final Fantasy XIII, Square Enix brought in British Pop-star Leona Lewis to sing the
game's theme song for the western release.
She also did some promotion for the game that got her and Square Enix in some hot water.
Apparently Lewis claimed she was playing the game when all that was running on the TV in
front of her was an ad for the game.
So, uh, yeah.
She never even played what she was promoting.
Lewis, however, did not appear in any of the games, just the advertising and the soundtrack.
In case you didn't know, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is a free to play mobile game, for
iOS and Android, that's pretty popular.
The RPG features anew cast of characters, which includes the incoming Ariana Grande
bunny character, as well as old Final Fantasy elements like limit breaks, summons, and your
usual spell nomenclature.
The game was originally released in Japan in 2015 and finally made its way westward
in 2016.
The developer, Gumi, announced in September the game had been downloaded 8 million times
around the globe.
So, I just wanted to let everyone know about this incoming promotional character for the
mobile Final Fantasy game, subtitled Brave Exvius.
I know some people will have some choice words to say about this, so what do you think about
Square putting a pop-star into one of their games?
Do you think this kind of thing will spread to the actual, main-series Final Fantasy games?
Or do you like Ariana Grande and are welcoming her cute, little bunny character into your
game?
Be sure to tell me your opinion down below.
And I think that's where I'm going to wrap this one up.
