monkey playr mail gate add-on review
everyone i just wanted to show you a
cool upgrade about four monkey player
called male gate and it basically allows
you to put a email gate in front of your
video so here's an example let me just
refresh this if somebody wants to watch
this video they have to put in their
email address and hit this button and
then they're able to watch the email on
in the background that emails added to
my email list so let me just show you
what this looks like i'm in monkey
player here right now if I go down to
edit this particular one so i have my
regular video here and on the right-hand
side I can enable male gate and here i
have my my autoresponder so you have to
set up your autoresponder within your
account let me just show you that
quickly so here you go you put in your
or your get response api key your active
campaign mailchimp you know whatever
you're using and now it shows up in the
drop down here so i put get response and
then when it has campaigns here so it's
going to have all your campaigns we can
get response and where do you want to
show the mail gate at the beginning at
the end or at a specific time in this
case i want to show that the start
because I want people to have to put in
their email before they can watch the
video and then I'm not letting them
bypass it so i can put a skip button a
close or no thanks
and then they can go ahead and watch the
video you know and then you just put
your text here your button color and
here's if I wanted to redirect after
they submitted their email so that kind
of goes away from the video it redirects
away from the video so i don't use that
not really sure why anybody would want
that I guess unless you put the mail get
out the end but in this case this is all
I have let me just hit preview that's
what it looks like so you put in your
email so i'll just put a whole bunch of
garbage
edge and now you can watch the video so
kind of a different way of creating a
squeeze page and said you're just
putting a male gate in front of a video
so you can use that with the microphones
that i was talking about or just any
video that you want to share with people
and that you want to get their email in
exchange for so make sure it's useful
make sure it's something they want to
see otherwise i'll just unsubscribe
after they enter their email anyways so
cool option you can add to monkey player
and then i just created a really simple
page like this
