5'2" Giant, Builder of Dreams book is HERE! - Duration: 3:15.

Hi, it's Rita in the YouTube channel Rita Mayell. Oh, I'm so glad you could join me-Today is really a

day for me!

I am so excited to share with you and have you take part in something that I have waited for for almost 40 years.

You heard me, right?

40 years! When I was 17 years old a

Dream to write a book on the story of my father was placed in my heart

I would love to tell you that it was easy as 1 2 3, but it hasn't been.

There's been struggles and rejections and rewrites and

discouragement and

Frustration. Many times when I wanted to just throw it all out and say forget it

but when God puts a dream in your heart

It's all it includes

Everything of who he - his DNA which means it has everlasting life. It doesn't die

you can suppress it

You can oppress it, but it will always be there and that's one of the ways, you know

When a dream is a God dream versus your own dream

So today after many many years of waiting

The book is getting ready to launch

And the first copy of the proof was just delivered and I want to share in that with you

To allow you to share in it because first I'm an extrovert and I want people to share with it me in it

But I want you to to celebrate the amazing journey of where it now is

So I'm gonna open it and I want you to be here with me

It's kind of crazy

Wow

They always say when you open the first book that you just kind of stare at it the feel

I mean, it's this dream that I have lived for for 40 years and it's here

This is really amazing. I'm so excited. I can't wait for each of you to buy this book

Not just because the instant the story is going to be about an ordinary man

just like how we are that we're as able to do extraordinary things because of an encounter he had with

Jesus Christ, I want you all to be encouraged as much as I was encouraged by having him as a father

how we stopped for the homeless people how we and

just would stop and talk to anybody and bring them into our home and love them and

That's my legacy and it also can be yours because the same God that ignited him is ready to ignite you

Wow

This looks really amazing. This is exciting

September 18th, you can get this on Amazon

Thank you so much for sharing this with me. Take care and push the subscribe button. Bye. Bye

What is hypoglycemia? - DiaBiteSize - Duration: 4:12.

If you have insulin treated diabetes, we should talk about hypoglycemia.

Hypoglycemia is when your blood sugar falls too low. Some of the most common

signs -- and usually the first symptoms of hypoglycemia -- are shaking, racing heart,

sweating, anxiety and hunger. To understand why these symptoms occur, we

have to talk about your liver. There are two ways your body gets the sugar it

needs for energy. One, you eat foods that contain carbohydrate. Two, your liver makes

sugar. When your blood sugar falls too low, your body releases hormones like

glucagon and epinephrine, which is also known as adrenaline. Glucagon and

epinephrine tell your liver to release the sugar it has stored and to start

making new sugar. You also release epinephrine or adrenaline during

stressful or scary situations, so that's why some of the early symptoms of

hypoglycemia -- like sweats, a racing heart and anxiety -- are similar to how you would

feel if you are being chased by a bear. The second type of symptoms happen when

your blood sugar falls low enough that your brain is no longer getting enough

sugar for fuel. These later symptoms might include difficulty concentrating,

confusion, weakness, vision changes and difficulty speaking.

What causes hypoglycemia? You can think about your blood sugar as a scale. On one

side, you have carbohydrate bringing your blood sugar up, and on the other side you

have things like insulin, exercise or alcohol bringing your blood sugar down.

If the scale is tipped too much in one direction, your sugar will be too high.

And if it is tipped too much in the opposite direction,

your sugar will be too low. So how can you avoid hypoglycemia? Well,

you need to balance the scale. For example, you need to match the amount

of insulin you are taking with the amount of carbohydrate you are eating. Or, if you

are exercising, you either need to eat more carbohydrate or take less insulin.

What should you do if you have symptoms of hypoglycemia? Test your blood sugar

to see if it is low. If it is low, consume a source of fast-acting sugar, like sugar,

juice, regular pop or dextrose tablets. Most people need around 15 grams of

glucose to treat mild or moderate hypoglycemia. In about 15 minutes, check

to make sure your blood sugar has gone back up. If it hasn't, then take another

15 grams of glucose. If you are not planning to eat within the next hour,

have a starchy snack like three plain cookies, crackers and cheese or an apple

granola bar. Hypoglycemia is likely to happen sometimes when you have

insulin-treated diabetes. Try to plan ahead to prevent it. And just in case, carry a

fast-acting sugar with you to treat it if it does happen.

Always take the symptoms of hypoglycemia seriously. If your blood sugar gets very

low, it can cause you to pass out or have a seizure, and it can even be fatal.

If you have more than two or three low blood sugars in a week, if you have a low

sugar that needs the help of someone else, or if you stop feeling the symptoms

of low blood sugar, talk to your diabetes team. They'll help

you with your diabetes management so that you can continue to do the things you enjoy.

Shaun King Says Someone Is Targeting His Kids | Heavy.com - Duration: 5:24.

Shaun King Says Someone Is Targeting His Kids | Heavy.com

Shaun King is an American journalist and civil rights activist.

He writes for The Intercept and uses social media to advocate for a variety of causes, often using his platform to draw attention to police brutality, racism, and related issues.

King, a retired pastor, is married and has five children.

He lives in New York with his family.

On Monday, August 1, King announced that someone had "targeted" his children — and him — by putting in an anonymous call to ACS, or the Administration for Child Services.

He said that the anonymous caller claimed that King and his wife had "abandoned" their children and had allowed them to do drugs.

King said that the complaint is utterly false and that he would not permit his children to be interviewed.

Here's what you need to know:.

King Said He, His Wife, and Their Kids Were On Their Way To A School Play When They Got the Call From Child Services.

King explains the whole story in a series of tweets which you can read here.

He says he, his wife, and their kids were on their way out to see a musical in which one of their daughters has a starring role.

Suddenly, the doorman in their building called up to their apartment.

Someone from Child Services (ACS) was on the line, demanding to see three of King's children right away.

After a little confusion, the ACS representative told King that someone had made an anonymous complaint to ACS, saying that King and his wife were neglecting their children and allowing them to do drugs.

King dismissed the complaint and refused to let the ACS representative speak to his children.

King and His Wife, Rai, Have Three Biological Children And Two Adopted Children.

The Oldest Are Teenagers.

Shaun and his wife, Rai, were high school sweethearts who got together in 1996.

They have five children.

King writes often about his love for his family and about their activities together.

Shaun and Rai cared for, and eventually adopted, Shaun's niece Taeyonna, who was born in 1999.

They went on to have three biological children of their own — Kendi, born in 2002; Ezekiel, born in 2006; and Savannah, born in 2009.

In 2013, their niece Zayah was born, and they informally adopted her.

In all, the couple has five children.

They do not appear to make a distinction between their biological and adopted children.

King Says He Won't Let His Kids Be Interviewed By ACS — Even If It Means Being "In Violation" of New York Law.

King called tonight the "lowest point" of his life, and asked his Twitter followers to pray for him.

He also vowed that he will not allow anyone from ACS, or from the NYPD, to interview his children over a false complaint.

He wrote,.

"Under no circumstances will anybody from the NYPD or New York Children's Services be speaking to anybody in my family.

I'm going to have to be in violation of New York law, but you will not force my children to participate in a single interview over a false complaint.

PERIOD.".

Dr. Josh Axe: What is Leaky Gut Syndrome? - Duration: 1:17.

- I'm Dr. Josh Axe, just really excited to be here at the Autism Education Summit

talking about how to use food as medicine, really getting to the root

cause of disease, in the microbiome. You know healing the gut in order to help

support neurological health. The connection between the gut and the brain

really has to do with how your gut lining, if it's damaged it can then

allow things to get in the bloodstream which then circulates and affects the

brain. And there's a condition called Leaky Gut Syndrome - where your gut

lining acts like a net with small holes in it. And those those holes can

open up over time, if it gets damaged. And undigested food particles like gluten,

toxins, bad bacteria can leak in the bloodstream. And those foreign invaders

that get in the bloodstream can then circulate and actually cause

inflammation throughout the entire body, but specifically they can affect the

brain. They can cause problems with development. They can cause different

types of reactions the body brain inflammation. And all of those actually

you know really taking care of that gut brain connection is crucial, especially

in recovery and any type of improvement in ASD.

The Real Reason Hooters Is Disappearing Across The Country - Duration: 5:07.

There's no denying that Hooters with its scantily-clad waitresses and looks-based hiring practices

has always targeted a certain client base.

It's hard to believe the chain's been doing it for more than 30 years, but according to

USA Today, Hooters is in a slump.

There's only one year in recent memory that the chicken wing slinger saw a sales increase,

and even then it was just one percent.

In 2008, there were 400 Hooters restaurants.

By 2011, 35 locations had closed and the company lost an annual revenue of more than $100 million.

According to Business Insider, between 2012 and 2016 they closed a further seven percent

of their locations.

So what's going on with this bro-centric chain?

Boycotts and protests

You know what's not good for any company's image?

People staging protests and picketing your plans to open new locations.

That's exactly what happened when Hooters announced it was expanding in the UK.

In 2010, protesters started campaigning against the imminent opening of a Hooters in Cardiff,

with one spokesperson saying,

"Everyone should have a job but they should be good jobs with dignity.

Not only is it a sexist institution, but it encourages a sexist culture."

According to The Telegraph, in 2010 British retailer Marks & Spencer was threatened with

boycott when a Bristol location announced they would sublet space to Hooters.

A Birmingham location was only open for a year before closing, and Sheffield's Hooters

got such strong opposition that it never even opened.

I just came to eat some wings.

And these people are out here telling me I'm a w--- and going to hell and stuff."

Times have changed

Hooters' message of objectifying women has never looked more dated than it does post-2017.

Thanks to movements like Me Too and Time's Up, the world is listening to women who are

sick and tired of suffering sexual assault and harassment in silence.

And that makes the hot pants and low-cut tops of Hooters' waitresses even more uncomfortable.

The presence of a Hooters restaurant and an increase in the potential for sexual assault

was connected by Cathy Jamieson, deputy leader of the Scottish Labour Party, who told The

Independent,

"Violence against women is a big problem, and these types of establishments do nothing

to promote equality of women in the workplace."

Psychological toll

Not only are we more aware of sexual harassment these days, we're also more aware of the damage

that can be done by objectifying women.

In 2015, faculty from the University of Tennessee's psychology department set out to discover

what impact working in a Hooters environment had on waitress's mental health, and the findings

were pretty disturbing.

According to The Conversation, all the waitresses they interviewed suffered from some degree

of depression, anxiety, anger, confusion, and feelings of degradation.

They also reported feeling demeaned on a regular basis, suffering from poor work relationships,

and becoming more susceptible to eating disorders.

Legal discrimination

Today, headlines are dominated with movements to give women equal rights, equal pay, and

equal opportunities… and that makes it pretty weird that Hooters is legally allowed to discriminate

during the hiring process.

Business Insider looked at why Hooters can get away with only hiring young, well-endowed

women as servers.

In 1997, two men sued the company after being turned away on the basis of their gender.

Hooters settled, but was not forced to employ men as servers.

The chain claimed it wasn't hiring waitresses, it was hiring "entertainers" who didn't interview

as much as "audition."

Hooters did agree, however, to offer some gender-neutral positions.

Casual dining

Part of Hooters' struggles is a decline in the industry that's also affecting its competitors.

Chains like Applebee's and Outback Steakhouse are closing, too, and these places all have

something in common: millennials just don't like their style.

According to Business Insider, millennials in particular are abandoning casual dining

restaurants in favor of fast-casual chains like Chipotle, meal delivery services, and

trendier new chains like wine bars.

In 2013, USA Today looked at how Hooters was trying to get more millennials in the door,

and the chain started by overhauling locations with new technology, outdoor seating areas,

and better AV systems for more sports.

Hoots

Another reason Hooters restaurants may keep disappearing is because in their place, their

parent company is trying out a fast-casual version of the chain called Hoots.

Hoots has a smaller menu and counter service for take-out and dine-in customers and Hooters

higher-ups are hoping that will get millennials in the door.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, they're also hoping that switching to employing both

men and women and dressing them a little more modestly will help shift their image to something

a bit more wholesome.

Depending on how well Hoots does, it could mean a few different things.

The two versions of the chain may coexist, or the entire chain might be rebranded into

Hoots.

Only time will tell if this fast-casual, more conservatively-dressed restaurant can save

the brand.
