The Premier League transfer window may be closed but European clubs can still buy from

English teams and managers are planning for the future so we'll bring you all the latest

gossip.

Today, Reiss Nelson is close to leaving Arsenal on loan.

Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed the club are closing-in on a deal to sign

Arsenal attacker Reiss Nelson on a season-long loan, according to the Metro.

Nelson has been with Arsenal since joining the clubs youth system as a kid and he's

emerged as one of the most promising young players in British football since breaking

in to the first team set-up under Arsene Wenger last season.

The England youth international has just one year remaining on his contract but the Metro

claim he's on the verge of agreeing a new long-term deal that will see him commit his

future to the club after Unai Emery identified him as a vital part of his future plans.

However, Nelson is unlikely to be a regular this season so he needs games to aid his development

and the report says the winger is set to join Hoffenheim on a season-long loan deal that

will see the Bundesliga club pay a £500,000 fee.

Hoffenheim boss Nagelsmann has now confirmed their interest in signing Nelson and says

the finishing touches are being put on the deal ahead of Friday's 6pm transfer deadline

in Germany.

Nagelsmann is quoted by the Metro as saying:

'We've taken an interest in Reiss Nelson, I can disclose that.

But nothing is set in stone as there are still things to clear up.

If it all works out, we'll have a player with great pace who can do a lot with the

ball.'
