Hey there, it's Must Have Monday, and it has been a long minute since I have shared with
you guys.
But, here I am, and today we are talking about an oil that every time I open up the bottle
it makes my mouth water.
I love the smell of it.
And the flavor is described as fresh and pungent, and it is found in many traditional Eurpeen,
Erapean, Meditarian, Asian, and I think Scandinavian dishes.
And that oil is Young Living's Dill Vitality oil.
Dill, dill vitality oil.
So, are you ready to learn a little more about it.
Hey, it's Natalie with Living the Oil Life.
Thanks for joining me today.
And, if this is your first time joining our channel, I'm so glad you did.
I hope you check out more videos like this one, on my channel.
But like I said, it is Must Have Monday, and we're talking about Dill Vitality oil.
Now, if you're wondering why it's called Dill Vitality, if you are not familiar with our
Vitality Line.
It's that the industry has required that any oils that can be used as a supplement be bottled
separately and labeled separately from bottles that can be used aromatically and topically.
Now Dill can be used aromatically and topically, but I do not have that bottle with me and
I am talking about the Vitality which is an oil supplement, a dieatary supplement.
So, I can only tell you how to use it as a supplement today.
Now, Dill comes from the species anethum graveolens, I think I said that right.
You know how much I love to say those.
And I believe that is the only one in that species.
And the plant actually originated in Austria.
And we get the oil from steam distilling the aerial part of the plant, which basically
is all of the plant but the roots, I believe.
Now, historically, Roman Gladiators had actually taken the dill plant and would rub themselves
down with it before putting on their armor, because they believed that it helped to reduce
their nervousness and stress before battle.
I thought that was kind of interesting.
So, when we inhale it, it probably helps to clam us down a little bit.
Studies have shown that using Dill as a dietary supplemement may help maintain blood sugars
that are already within normal range.
It can help support your digestive system.
It can help support your immune system.
It may also help to recover from strenuous or physical activity.
It may help support your liver.
And, it can help freshen your breath and be part of your oral care.
Now, as much as I love the smell because it to me just, ah, smells like dill pickles,
and that is one of my favorite things in the world.
But, to me, the taste, is not like a dill pickle.
It is, yeah, pungent.
But, (cough cough) it is supposed to freshen your breath.
And, it's supposed to be great for your oral care.
So, if you are, um, brave, you could probably put a couple of drops with water and swish
it around your mouth and help with your oral care or add it to your toothpaste even if
you want to be really brave, and try that.
If you try it, please let me know how that it is.
Um, it can also be help to support our female system.
So, how do we get Dill Vitality in our oily lifestyle?
Well, for me, I have taken, um, a few drops in a vegetable capsule, and I will take it
that way.
And, I will add a little bit of olive oil or coconut, fractionated coconut oil, and
add it into that.
Sometimes I'll add lemon and lemongrass or fennel or even a little bit more DiGize and
it just helps my digestive system.
I love it for that.
Especially when I'm running low on DiGize - I will take it in a few capsules like that.
And, you can also use it for cooking, but when you use it for cooking, you don't use
it the same as you do the dried herbs or the fresh herbs, because the oil is very very
concentrated and it is very potent.
So, you want to start with a little toothpick drop or two in there, or just a drop and just
see what that is.
Don't put like 3 or 4 drops in, you'll ruin your whole, whatever you're making.
Now, those of you that know me, know that I do not cook very often, so I have not used
this in soups and stews, which I have heard it is great for.
Um, it combines well with carrot and lemon oil to help marinade with fish and your veggies.
But I have used it in dill dip.
And, I'll put that recipe down below - with a little bit of yogurt, a little bit of lemon,
and I forgot what else.
So, I'll put that link below.
But I've used it for a veggie dip and for a chip dip.
I love chip dip.
Chips are my weakness also.
And, you can also add it to your potato salad recipes, which I think I may have a link for
that, so look for that below.
And, you can also add it to your cucumber and tomato recipe, which I have done that.
I love tomatoes and cucumber and onion in the summertime, even in the wintertime.
But, especially in the summertime, I love cucumber, uh onion, and tomatoes.
So, I will add a little bit of that, a little bit of vinegar, and oh it is amazing.
And of course, you can make a dill pickle recipe from Dill Vitality, I'll put a link
below that I found a couple of recipes that you might want to try.
And, my good from Elizabeth Medero with Medero Green Moments, she puts her Dill Vitality
on her popcorn.
And you can find that link, it should be popping up somewhere up there.
You can go see that video and see how she uses Dill Vitality on her popcorn.
So, those are the different ways that you can use it.
And, if you are ready to add Dill Vitality to your life, Retail it is only $20.72, and
it is a 5ml bottle and wholesale it is $15.75.
So, wholesale it is always the way to go, of course.
And if you are not a wholesale member with Young Living yet, I would love to help you
get started.
