Oh Ragsy! We've been invited to a party! Oh black tie!

Oh no? What are we going to wear?

Hi everybody! 'Me and Rags have a really fun and

easy tutorial for you today for a DIY cat bow tie and matching hair bun for you so just carry on watching!

okay so all you're going to need for your DIY cat bow tie and

matching headband is some fabric of your choice I have some nice pieces of felt

some ribbon, a pair of scissors, the collar for your cat a headband for you and

something to put it all together you can either use fabric glue or I'm using my

trusty hot glue gun with some glitter glue! The first thing you want to do is pick

what fabric you wanna use I think I'm going to use the purple

stars because it's very fancy and if you do want to match with your cat

The first thing you wanna do is cut it in half so there's a piece for you and a piece for your moggy

Okay I'm going to do Ragsy's first so I'll do the cat one

What you gotta do is to take the outside sides and fold them over to meet in the middle like this

and then just use a little bit of glue to keep them together

Okay so you have your little piece of fabric here the next thing youI'll do is take the outer sides to

meet in the middle like you did with the out with those longer sides

and then we have the one for the cat now this one's dead easy because you

don't need to do any and sewing so what you do is you take this piece and just

this piece and just pinch it together

in the middle

Make a little bow tie shape

There you go!

Allright, then glue that down just oil it, just put a little blob in the middle

and squeeze it together to make a little bow shape

And there is the beginning of your cat bowtie!

Next thing you want to do is take your ribbon

cut a little bit that will go around the bowtie and just wrap it around

and there is Ragsy's little bowtie

and I'm going to now make the bowtie for me

alright so there we have

our two bowties now just for the cat one all you do is take the bowtie made for your

cat and just glue it on it to the collar that you have for them

okay and there is Ragsy's little bowtie! Now time to make mine

Take the headband or Alice band just a plain one I got this one from Amazon is really cheap and get your

ribbon what I'm going to do is wrap the ribbon all the way around the Alice band just

make it a little bit more colorful

Okay there is the decorated Alice band and you take your bow tie that

you made before and just stick it on wherever you want it using your hot glue gun

And there we have our DIY matching bow tie for Rags and headband for me

Ragsy! We shall go to the ball! And here are our matching bow tie and hairband!

W008 Flower pillar for church arrangement 教堂裝飾花柱 - Duration: 14:05.

( Please choose Subtitles and Subscribe )

Today I use the Calla Lilies for everyone to make a demonstration. You see some of the Calla Lilies are straight.

On the contrary, the more curved Calla Lily will be more difficult to handle, especially the curved and soft Calla Lily ,which will be even more difficult to be inserted into the foam

If we use Calla for flower arrangement, the more straight and hard Calla Lily will be much easier.Of course, they must be used after soaked with enough water

Today, I will use the Calla Lily, bamboo and Cymbidium to insert a potted flower

I put the foam on the top above the stand, and then insert the entire stand into the basin , so that you can make arrangement at the same time

First, I would use Cordyline Terminali to cover the middle part of the flower stand

As for the tip part I will deal with it later, and then I put a few 28-inch Cordyline Terminali in front and back

As for the tip part, I use the buckle U-shaped wire to fix it on the foam

Now, I use Calla Lily. I first cut its flower stems into one and a half inches, then insert the stems into the flower foam, and then use U-shaped wire to fix the top of the stems in the flower foam

I then cut another Calla Lily, and then use U-shaped wire to fix its top

I cut the third calla Lily, then insert the stems on the right, then fix it with a U-shaped wire.

And one more Calla Lily stem placed here .Even they are overlapping we can also fix them in the same way

Cut the last calla Lily, put the stems in here, make them together, and later cover the top with leaves

At this time, I will place the Calla Lily. First choose a larger flower, put it on the foam at side 6 o'clock

You can let another Calla Lily slightly droop, and then placed in top, they are all 5-6 inches,

You have seen that I have placed all Calla Lilies, its stems and Cordyline Terminali,

Next, I will put Cymbidium. First cut Cymbidium mainly depending on the shape and direction, they can be cut for one or two

Put the two Cymbidium in the side position, accompanied by the Calla Lily

As for the bottom, we can also place one or two Cymbidium. In general, in the basin more than one Cymbidium can also be placed

At this time, we place the Sabah leaves, to cover the stems of Calla Lily , you can choose a larger block of Sabah leaves

Sabah leaves should also be placed on the left and right part,,but in the back ,the Sabah leaves can be medium-sized

Surrounded by sabah leaves, we can match with the Calla Lily much better.

In the basin, we also placed some large Sabah leaves in front

Similarly, in the back we also need to place Sabah leaves, the smaller one can be placed together , while the larger one can be placed by block

Finally, I will use Asparagus Fern. As the Asparagus Fern has a thorn, we have to be careful

Some Asparagus Fern will be smaller and some will be longer. I first take a long Asparagus Fern, put it into the foam, deeper, and let it stretch down

And then placed one more ,concentrated in the front position

You can choose one or two smaller, placed on top

In the following section, the Asparagus Fern can also be placed at the side of the Calla Lily, which can also be used to cover the foam

I have demonstrated for this pot of works, with the Calla Lily as the main flower, the flowers we used today are relatively simple

We only use the Calla Lily, Cymbidium and Asparagus Fern, resulting in a decorative style

The Stand can not be seen, because the Calla Lily stems and Cordyline Terminali are used to cover and support the two pots of flowers

Today, I used Asparagus Fern to create the effect of the Veiling effect

Sometimes we do a work, if the flowers are not too many, and most of them are big flowers, you can use some of the more fine materials

Such as Asparagus Fern and Typha, used as a Veiling effect for decoration or hooding, so that the work is not too monotonous, with only one or two large flowers

Today, I show you the style of this decoration, it is the use of these skills

What should you look for in a spouse? - Duration: 8:50.

- One thing that might be particularly helpful

is just a simple observation

that you may not realize about yourself.

And that is, that what you're attracted to

is more influenced by the culture around you

than you might realize.

So, when you find that one particular person

more attractive than this other person,

without even knowing it,

you have some sort of values,

or things that you think of as good or best,

that you're kind of reading them with.

So the question is, how did those values get in there?

How do you find that set of characteristics

more attractive than that set of characteristics?

And the answer, largely, is that it's a mystery.

It's shaped and influenced over the years

by what you found good, and valuable, and attractive,

and secure in your home and your upbringing.

It's shaped by what you take in on television,

or on the internet, the media that you consume.

You have a world full of people giving testimony

to what's most beautiful and most attractive.

And, that has more of an influence on you than you realize.

So, you might have heard the phrasing,

'We live in a pornified culture.'

I find that to be helpful phrasing just because

it recognizes that there is this effect

that pornography has on larger culture.

Even if someone isn't using porn,

there's this cultural value system where the elements

of what make pornography so powerful and attractive

weave their way into the way we tell our stories

about romance, weave their ways into fashion.

It's an entire framework of understanding

what's beautiful and good.

And basically, it packages beauty in this convenient,

flashy package that supposedly costs me nothing

and requires nothing of me to appreciate.

Beauty becomes a way of serving myself.

It's just instant gratification,

it's 'Yeah, I find that visually appealing,

'and so I just reach out and I take

'in a way that's meant to fill me,

'that's meant to serve me.'

It's having a really dangerous effect, I think,

on the way Christians think about finding a spouse to marry,

finding a mate to love and to cherish and to value.

Because true beauty,

it takes more effort, it costs more of us

to truly appreciate because it's this acknowledgement

that I have to conform what I perceive as good

and attractive to what God actually says

is most good and most attractive.

And that's, in other words, believing His testimony

above the testimony of everyone else.

So for instance, if you watch the average romantic comedy,

ladies just need to be aware of the pornified expectations

that might shape their initial assessment of people.

Instead of, sort of, a certain body shape, so much,

as it might be with men, maybe it's a certain personality

or a certain style of romantic consideration.

What's missing from your average romantic comedy

is a value that says, 'Actually, when I read the Bible,

'and I read, for instance, the Book of Proverbs

'about what a man in his prime ought to be,

'a man who fears the Lord, a man who works hard,

'a man who does what is right,

'a man who doesn't take a bribe,'

a man who just has all the things

that conform to God's values

displayed there.

And then Proverbs 31 gives the female version of that,

of a woman who fears the Lord.

But if you actually read Proverbs 31 for the values

that it lifts up as most attractive,

here's at least one surprising thing.

A woman who fears the Lord is displayed primarily

in her industriousness, in her work, in her labor,

in her strength, actually.

In her valiance.

Two thirds of the verses that are talking

about this Proverbs 31 woman are dedicated

to the fact that she is smart, and works hard,

and is productive in those ways.

If you look at that value system,

and then you look at what's valued

in terms of the priority structures

of what we find attractive in our pornified culture,

that does not line up.

And so the question is, how do I move from here to here?

And it's through reading the Scripture enough

to where the heart of God, the values of God

come to map and have authority over mine.

And that happens in the context of a culture

where there are people valuing in the folks you know

what God values, and drawing your attention to those things.

In the context of that input into your life,

do you actually start to make wiser choices

when it comes to who I ought to pursue,

or who I ought to allow to pursue me?

And I have just been able to witness, in my ministry,

so many conversations where older Christians

who have just a really good established relationship

with a single Christian are excellent resources

for someone saying 'Hey, this person's pursuing me,'

or 'I'm thinking about pursuing this person.'

'What do you see in their lives?'

And sometimes it's, 'Man, I see that that girl,

'she serves well, she's always engaged,

'I've seen her sort of suffer well

'through different seasons of her life.

'I think that's a worthwhile person to pursue,

'you should do that.'

And then other times they say of that person,

or help you assess, 'You know, if you actually think

'about the way she lives her life,

'she might have this attraction for you,

'or this thing going for her, and we acknowledge that,

'but the overall pattern of her life

'doesn't seem like a strong pursuit of the Lord.

'We would caution you against that.'

What I've just suggested is actually really counter-cultural

because, especially on issues of attraction,

we tend to think so individualistically.

But the great irony of thinking it's my choice,

it's my attraction, it's my thing,

is we're totally missing the fact that actually no,

you've already been influenced by a community.

It's just, which community have you been influenced by?

So I want to be careful here,

because I'm not saying it's wrong to have preferences,

or to find certain personalities easier to get along with

than others, or to even find certain appearances

more attractive visually than others,

that's not wrong at all.

It becomes wrong when that becomes the control value

under which the values of God are arranged,

rather than the values of God being the control value

under which all these other values are arranged.

So this answer is very counter-cultural,

but I hope it's been helpful to just make us aware

of what our hearts are doing

when we find one person attractive, and another person not,

and then submitting that whole thing to Scripture,

and to the church, and to a better community

than the communities that just, we naturally orbit in.

Trump and Brexit together is like the Superbowl for Europe | Jay Pelosky Interview - Duration: 4:09.

J pulovski has had a long career in investment banking it was a Morgan

Stanley strategist for a number of years he's worked all over the world and he

has a really interesting perspective and he's one of these guys who has this

ability to coin just ceiling an infinite number of phrases to express complex

ideas in really simple terms we're going to talk today about what he calls the

tri-polar world and I hope to get time to sit and talk to him about something

he calls generation passive because both of them I think are important to

understand they're really kind of shaping a landscape of global

geopolitics global economics and financial markets so let's sit down with

Jay and pick his brains about those two things the way I look at it is I've

named each region yeah I've given a name to each one so let me

go through those very quickly the first is Asia which I call the proactive

region because I argue that China particularly through the Asia

infrastructure investment bank right in the one belt one road or over

infrastructure project is really driving integration in Asia and the other part

of the Asian integration is the integration of ASEAN the Association of

Southeast Asian Nations which I think is the big story and the big growth story

anyway in Asia for the next ten years which has huge investment implications

if you think about it one of the things I'm really excited about for example

just as a quick aside is financial consolidation in ASEAN right you're

going to have probably three or four regional big banks as opposed to two or

three national big banks in every country so huge opportunity I believe in

the next several years and then of course the the icing on the cake for

Asian integration led by China is the u.s. decision to walk away from TPP

right the trans-pacific partnership we basically have given China the

opportunity to lead in Asia and I think therefore the proactive region has been

and it's likely to continue to be Asia the reactive region has been Europe well

if you think about Europe firefighting really since 2008-2009 right every time

they turn around there's a crisis whether it's Greece or the banks or

brexit or what-have-you and now however I think the combination

of brexit and President Trump and some of his america-first rhetoric has

actually led to a concentration of the European mind writ large in a

realization that they need to pull together to move forward and so actually

I would have been arguing that brexit and Trump together are super bullish for

European integration in that case got even stronger with the election of

French president macron the likely re-election of German Chancellor Merkel

the kind of reinstitution of the franco-german motor which has been the

traditional way for europe to move forward those two big countries have to

be in the same space and they clearly are I actually call them the M&M team

Merkel and Mike Rome and so I think Europe is really an exciting opportunity

it has a lot of slack in the economy the banking sector is finally being fixed

and as years behind the us fixing of the banking sector but things are clearly

happening light with Spain and Italy addressing their their weaker banks so

you have economic slack you have political recovery you have financial

sector revival you have achieved currency so to me Europe has moved from

reactive Europe to resurgent Europe and to me

Europe is probably the most attractive region over the next three to five years

I think there's tremendous upside in Europe the one place where they have to

focus is in the technology space if you look at the top 10 tech companies none

of them are in Europe right they're in either China or the United States the

good news for Europe is that through the digital single market the DSM project

which has already been on the table for a couple years they can create that kind

of tech capacity and be a really big opportunity for the next five years

Reach For The Stars - A Brilliant Approach on Perspective (80 Sec) Hillel Fuld - Duration: 1:31.

I once heard a beautiful thought from Rav Rivlin, at Kerem B'Yavneh, something that has deeply

impacted my life since the day I heard it and that is the following thought: we say

in the prayer of 'Aleinu' - "In the heavens above and on the ground Beneath"

and he asked the question, isn't that kind of obvious? couldn't we just

say "In the heavens and on the ground?" don't we know that the heavens are "above'

and that the ground is "beneath". Why not just simplify it and

remove those seemingly superfluous words? Just say "In the heavens and on the ground"

and he explains that: things that are "bashamayim", in the heavens (i.e. spirituality) Things of significance.

You should always look ABOVE and strive to be better.

Things that are on the ground (i.e. earthly pursuits) like health and wealth and other things that

are maybe less important or less significant, you should always look

"BENEATH" and say it could be so much worse. And just in general, it's all about

perspective in life. Things that are matters of spirituality "in the heavens", look above and try to be better.

Things that are earthly matters "on the ground" look at it and say:

It can be so much worse. It's a beautiful beautiful thought I heard from Rav Rivlin.

Which reminds me, we always say "Kol HaOmer Davar B'Shem Omro - Meivi Geulah LaOlam"

"Anybody who quotes something and names the source

brings redemption to the world." Interestingly...I have never heard anyone

quote the source of that saying...

Food for thought.
