George Soros is one of the biggest-spending political donors in the world.

With a net worth of $25 billion, he has funded the most powerful groups on the American

left, including arms of the Democratic Party, ACLU, Center for American Progress, and the

presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, so it's worth understanding

who he is and what he thinks.

Soros made his initial fortune as a hedge fund manager.

He is infamous for breaking the Bank of England by shorting the British pound in 1992, leading

to the currency's massive devaluation and a crisis in the British economy.

Influenced by philosopher Karl Popper and his book "The Open Society and Its Enemies,"

Soros claims to advance Popper's vision of a society averse to totalitarianism.

An open society is one that values individual rights, and recognizes that because perfect

knowledge is impossible, our social institutions ought to be open to new ideas and change.

And so Soros's political and philanthropic operation is called the Open Society Foundations.

Later, as Soros's views took a dangerous turn away from Popper, he continued to lay

claim to the "open society" concept.

He claims "there is a deep seated conflict between capitalism and open society."

He's a proponent of European-style socialism and thinks China has "a better functioning

government than the United States.

Soros takes a concept he calls "reflexivity" and applies it to capital markets, an idea

not taken seriously by most economists.

This, he argues, makes it impossible for a market economy to remain stable and justifies

government intervention in markets.

This turn from Popper has led Soros to fund political groups worldwide determined to destroy

free markets.

And so this so-called open society Soros claims to want isn't really open at all.

Soros funds the Institute for Policy Studies, which has had multiple fellows call openly

for "violent tactics to destroy the U.S. government."

Soros money funded Occupy Wall Street, a movement dominated by anarchist and communist revolutionaries,

and whose supporters held up signs saying "Jews control Wall Street."

Soros funded Black Lives Matter, which publicly calls for riots and violence against police

officers, and United We Dream, an organization that tries to warns illegal aliens in advance

of immigration raids.

Perhaps Soros's influence is best summed up in his own words: "We are trying to make

the world a better place, but that's not always what we accomplish."

In a story from March, the The Independent wrote about her presence at the annual Salamiada, a figurative and literal sausage party wherein only men can partake. She, as a woman, and a busy expat one to boot, wasn't there.

But the festival's master of ceremonies read aloud a supposed letter "from Melanija" that thanked them for naming a sausage after her.Melania, ever a Trump, hired a local law firm in Slovenia's capital to keep an eye on the use of her name and image.

Natasa Pirc Musar's law firm fights inaccurate tabloid stories, ensures her full name and photos don't appear on products she doesn't approve of.

An example:tThough Melania's hometown is also known for its underwear factory, Musar told N.P.R., "We would react heavily if someone is going to make an underwear called Melania Trump.".

The town's mayor, Srecko Ocvirk—who is a year older than Melania, but doesn't remember her—insists that the whole thing is celebrating the town's M.V.P.—not the man she's married to.

Plastic—what is it?

Where does it come from?

What is it actually made of?

Let's find out!

The actual stuff of plastic comes from the oil and gas industry.

In fact, your plastic grocery bag is made from byproducts of the oil and natural gas

refineries around the world.

But wait a second... how do oily gassy byproducts become the average plastic grocery bag?

Well, to answer that, we're gonna have to go molecular.

The fossil fuels that are refined in oil and gas factories are made of carbon and hydrogen;

a hydrocarbon.

They're natural and found in every organism on the planet.

When we take these hydrocarbons, subject them to some crazy heat, add chemicals, and do

some tweaks here and there, funky stuff starts to happen to the carbon bonds.

Meet ethylene.

Ethylene gas is a very stable hydrocarbon, but crank the heat way up, add a pinch of

initiator and a dash of catalyst, and presto; you have broken apart the sturdy bond between

the carbons and created a much more sociable ethylene that can hang out with each other

in long chains.

And the chain goes on and on and on and on and on, creating polyethylene (which is just

a fancy way of saying a chain of ethylene molecules).

As cool as plastic is, we made this endless daisy-chain of hydrogen and carbon in totally

unnatural conditions and nature doesn't know what to do with it.

That's why polyethylene in the ocean takes hundreds of years to break down and can cause

a lot of damage if not disposed of or recycled properly.

So let's help the ocean out.

Instead of using low-density polyethylene to carry your groceries, maybe try using a

paper or cloth bag instead.

Oxford University: Hillary Clinton Is A Psychopath

Oxford University researchers have concluded that failed presidential candidate Hillary

Clinton displays �extreme Machiavellian egocentricity� and should be officially

considered a psychopath.

The former secretary of state is famed for her disregard for the law, her love of invading

foreign countries and and her cold-hearted �we came, we saw, he died� response to

the death of Libyan leader Gaddafi, and Oxford University researchers claim these behavioral

traits provide insight into her psychopathic mind.

The study rated her for the psychopathic traits of fearless dominance, self-centered impulsivity,

and coldheartedness, and then compared her results to those of other historical figures.

When her score was added up, Clinton was placed above Emperor Nero, who famously killed his

own mother, and only a few points behind Adolf Hitler.

Daily Mail report: Oxford University�s Dr, Kevin Dutton has been exploring the psychopathic

traits of the candidates and other historical figures using a standard psychometric tool,

the Psychopathic Personality Inventory � Revised (PPI-R), reports Scientific American Mind.

While learning about these traits, Dutton also looked at which ones can be beneficial

and which will lead to destruction.

He explains that being a psychopath is not an all-or-nothing affair, but is on a spectrum

along which each of us has our place.

There also seems to be a range of positions that attract individuals on the high end of

the psychopathic scale such as business, surgery, the law military and of course, politics.

Previous to this recent study, Dutton contacted the official biographers of many historical

leads and asked them to fill out an abbreviated version of the PPI-R in order to create a

table showing which traits these figures had.

The table shows each subject�s scores for psychopathy�s eight component traits.

The first three being, social influence(SI), fearlessness (F) and stress immunity(STI),

which are collectively known as Fearless Dominance traits � these leaders tend to be more successful.

However, the next four traits that are known as Self-Centered Impulsivity can be destructive.

This group includes Machiavellian Egocentricity (ME), Rebellious Nonconformity (RN), Blame

Externalization (BE) and Carefree Nonplanfulness (CN).

And the final trait is Coldheartedness (C), which is helpful for making tough decisions

such as sending troops off to war.

The �league table� implies that a majority of these well-known individuals are high scorers,

such as Winston Churchill.

Clinton falls into the category Self-Centered Impulsivity and scored the highest for Machiavellian

Egocentricity, which means she has a lack of empathy and sense of detachment from others

for the sake of achieving her own goals.
