Good day, everybody.
This is the Shot Clock.
I'm Jay.
That's Dan.
And I like what you're doing with your hair.
Hey, let's start the clock.
He never says that to me.
Here we go.
There were some talented people on the diamond last night, including Robbie Ray.
Eleven strikeouts.
The Diamondbacks' home train keeps rolling, but there were people in the stands.
Yeah.
What's the deal?
Twenty-five thousand people for a Tuesday night against the Padres.
A little bit mind-blowing.
It might be the first night of the summer ballpark pass promotion.
But you have to think about this, Jay.
The Padres are the team geographically closest to the Diamondbacks, but they make us feel
nothing.
Nobody ever goes to the games when the Padres are here in town.
This might be sign that, A) School's out; B)
The summer promotion began; or C) Maybe the team is actually dropping roots.
Why not?
There's nothing else to do in town.
There's no football or hockey or basketball certainly.
Or Scooter Gennett.
Scooter Gennett, four dingers.
Secondly, the torch that people talk about being passed to Kevin Durant.
Is that a real thing, or not really.
Well, a lot of people are talking Kevin Durant now has become the best player in the NBA,
and I know you have thoughts about this.
I'm not buying it because the game is so easy for Kevin Durant right now.
At a time when he is basically on an all-star team.
Hey I'm open.
Nobody guards him.
Hey, guess what?
I'm open again.
And as you said before: What did he do in Game 6 and Game 7 of the Western Conference
finals last year?
He kind of proved he wasn't that alpha dog in the NBA, which is why he ended up in Golden
State in the first place.
I think that is really, really an overcooked story.
I'm still taking LeBron for at least a year or two.
Hey, that's all the time we have on the Shot Clock.
Have a great day.
