Preparing a Direct Cut Job for the HP Latex Cutter - Duration: 2:06.
HP's Flexi Print and Cut software prepares direct cut jobs, so images or texts are cut directly in substrate,
creating an outline without printing.
From your computer, open HP Flexi Print and Cut.
Click File, and then click Open.
Browse to and select an image file, or click and drag an image into the editor.
The image opens in the editor, allowing you to edit and define the contours of the job.
Click Bitmap, and then click Make Transparent.
Select the sections of the image you do not want to print.
In the DesignCentral window, click the arrows, or enter a numeric value
in the text box to adjust the Tolerance value.
Setting the Tolerance to zero selects one color and limits the selection size.
Click the green checkmark to confirm your selection is complete.
Click Effects, and then click Contour Cut.
A contour line appears on the image showing exactly where the cuts will be made.
With your mouse, click and drag the contour line of the image to edit your selection.
From the DesignCentral window, adjust the values and
any other settings to fine-tune the image selection.
Click the green checkmark to confirm your selection is complete.
Make sure the substrate is loaded before sending the job to the cutter.
Click the Cut Plot icon to begin cutting the job.
HP Flexi Print and Cut also prepares text for direct cut jobs.
In a blank document, type the text you want to cut.
Make sure the substrate is loaded, and then click the Cut Plot icon to begin cutting the job.
The cutter will start cutting the job.
Once finished, use as needed.
