on the path to denuclearization.

A congratulatory message read out by Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon on the President's behalf...

at the annual meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries' Parliaments,... said Pyongyang's

nuclear issue must be resolved for the sake of stability and prosperity.

"We are the last divided country on Earth.

The tensions on the Korean peninsula are a threat to the peace of Eurasia.

We will make a new economic map that connects Eurasia and the Pacific.

Once the South-North railway is restored... and the maritime Silk Road is complete -- Eurasia

will find new vitality."

Pres. Moon announces new pick for justice minister nominee - Duration: 2:03.

President Moon Jae-in held the first Cabinet meeting of his administration.

He announced several new nominations, including one for justice minister -- his second candidate...

after his first choice withdrew.

Ji Myung-kil starts us off from the gathering with a cabinet that's yet to be complete.

One of the main things to come out of President Moon Jae-in's first Cabinet meeting, was the

President's selection of Park Sang-ki,... a law professor from Yonsei University, as

his new pick for justice minister.

Park advocates reforming the prosecution and judicial system, and currently heads the Citizens'

Coalition for Economic Justice... a civic organization pushing for fair income distribution.

President Moon also named the new chief of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission...

Pak Un-jong.

She is a professor at Seoul National University, and President Moon sees her as the right person

to protect civil rights and root out corruption.

The job is considered a ministerial post, but unlike Cabinet posts, does not require

a parliamentary hearing.

The latest appointments also include a new vice minister...

Lee Jin-gyu for the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning.

Lee has been promoted from within the ministry, and is known for his ability to coordinate

policies.

As well as announcing his new Cabinet nominations, President Moon urged the lawmakers to approve

the government's 10 billion U.S. dollar supplementary budget that is stuck in limbo at the National

Assembly.

"I sincerely urge the opposition parties to cooperate in passing the supplementary budget

so that we don't miss this opportunity to revitalize the economy and improve the people's

livelihoods."

He said the extra budget will not only help create new jobs and mitigate damage caused

by the ongoing severe drought, but may even lead to a period of economic growth in the

3 percent range.

Opposition parties, however, remain critical of the bill and its potential burden on taxpayers.

Japanese diplomat draws anger for calling wartime sexual slavery victims 'paid prostitutes' - Duration: 2:12.

A Japanese diplomat referred to wartime sex slavery victims as "paid prostitutes."

Kwon Jang-ho zooms in on how Tokyo continues to drift further from acknowledging the truth,

reaching a point beyond denial and well past historic distortion... to justify its wartime

crime instead of repenting.

The Japanese consul general in Atlanta has denied that the Japanese military forcibly

recruited sex slaves during World War II.

In an interview with a local newspaper, Takashi Shinozuka claimed the victims of Japan's wartime

sexual slavery were "paid prostitutes", and that there was no evidence they had been taken

by force.

His remarks followed a decision by the city council of Brookhaven, a community just northeast

of Atlanta, to unveil a memorial statue for the victims.

Shinozuka urged the city to reverse its decision, claiming the statue is a "symbol of hatred

and resentment" against Japan.

City officials deny this, and say they have no plans to reconsider their decision, with

the statue set to be unveiled on Friday.

The Korean community and a local civic group blasted the diplomat over his remarks... which

they say raise suspicions that Tokyo is trying to whitewash history.

They also said Shinozuka's comments run counter to previous statements made by the Japanese

government, where Tokyo acknowledged the crimes and the victims' suffering.

The Korean GOvernment also voiced its concerns on Tuesday, and will strongly condemn the

statement if it's confirmed that Shinozuka made such comments.

If the report is true, it's unbelievable that a such a high ranking diplomat would make

that statement.

It would be a really inappropriate remark that goes against the international community's

consensus that the 'comfort women' issue is about wartime sexual violence, and that it

was a gross violation of human rights.

The memorial statue will be the third of its kind to be installed in the U.S., following

two others in California and Michigan.

Along with the mayor of Brookhaven and the two sculptors who worked on the statue, an

88-year old survivor of the atrocity will also attend the unveiling ceremony.

Think tank revises 2017 growth rate for Korean economy to 2.8% - Duration: 1:33.

Turning to some uplifting digits now.

More positive numbers in terms of growth forecast for the Korean economy this year.

Kim Ji-yeon brings us the significantly upgraded outlook from a local think tank.

A state-run think tank has revised its growth forecast for the Korean economy this year

from 2-point-5-percent... up to 2-point-8-percent... on par with the annual growth rate recorded

in 2016.

Tuesday's report from the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade takes into

account expectations that the government will raise its own 2017 forecast from the current

2-point-6-percent.

It also reflects optimism that domestic consumption is climbing... alongside investment in construction

and facilities... and equipment.

Consumer sentiment, particularly in the private sector, is also expected to soar on expectations

that the new Moon Jae-in government will pursue market-friendly policies.

The report also predicts the country's exports will rise more than 11-percent on-year backed

by a global economic recovery,... which would be the first double-digit growth in six years.

The report warns, though, that the optimistic outlook hinges on several factors including

the outcome of general elections in Germany this September.

That, coupled with the fiscal and monetary measures to be taken by the Korean government...

affecting the country's ballooning household debt... which currently amounts to one-point-two-trillion

U.S. dollars.

Take Advantage of Micro Moments for Macro Gains - Duration: 0:53.

Hey everybody. Welcome back to me. I'm sure nobody noticed but took a good four

solid days with the family. Didn't really create much video didn't do a whole lot

interaction. I think it's important to do that every once in a while just kind of

shut it down. But I think that in tandem with that you

have to feel good about doing that if the rest of the time you are really

maximizing every second of every day. I think that an opportunity to put a

short message out like this or respond to somebody's comment on Instagram or

Facebook or participate in a group discussion, I think those are all things

that we can just do more of in every of those split seconds that we have and

those things add up. So, I will be back at it hope everybody's doing well. That's about

all I got for now happy Monday. Monday is my favorite.

Prince William's Wife Kate Middleton Topless Photos Leaked, Royal Family Sues for $1.6M - Duration: 3:20.

A month from now, the world will know if Prince William and his wife Catherine will win their

battle against paparazzi.

The trial over the published Kate Middleton topless photos has just begun.

The royal couple is seeking $1.6 million in damages.

On trial are some of the executives of Closer magazine, the regional newspaper La Provence,

and three photographers.

The charges stemmed from the Kate Middleton topless images the publications published

in 2012.

The photos showed the Duchess of Cambridge sunbathing topless in the familys private

villa in the Provence region of France.

French magazine Closer and newspaper La Provence published the snapshots.

The royal family immediately filed a lawsuit.

In 2012, a French court already fined Closer for printing the photos.

The court also banned it from the distributing the magazine online and in print.

Facing the charges are Closer magazine editor Laurence Pieau, La Provence Publishing Director

Marc Auburtin, Chief Executive Ernesto Mauri.

The photographers who are included in the charges are Cyril Moreau, Dominique Jacovides,

and Valerie Suau.

Jacovides and Suau have denied taking photographs that they allegedly sold to Closer magazine.

Suau told the court she did not intend to breach the royal couples privacy.

She was accused of taking photographs that ran on La Provence.

Closer magazine counsel Paul Albert Iweins argued that the photos cast the royal couple

in a positive light and did not breach the royal familys privacy, UK Press Association

reported as cited by CNN.

The royal couples lawyer, Jean Veil, read a statement in court on Tuesday on Prince

Williams behalf.

The Duke of Cambridge stated that he was hurt by the incident because of its similarities

to the death of his mother.

The Telegraph cited Williams statement wherein he said, In September 2012, my

wife and I thought that we could go to France for a few days in a secluded villa.

The clandestine way in which these photographs were taken was particularly shocking to us

as it breached our privacy. Kensington Palace also made reference to Dianas death

when it first released a statement about the Kate Middleton topless photos in 2012.

The palace stated: The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi

during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to the Duke and

Duchess for being so. Princess Diana and partner Dodi al Fayed died

almost 20 years ago in a tragic car crash in Paris in 1997.

The couple was being pursued by paparazzi at the time.

Their car driver and the paparazzi were found to have been negligent in 2008.
