Waching daily Mar 5 2017

Moin! Wo geiht't? Wo heetst du? Sounds like German, but not quite? Yep, that was my best

attempt at a greeting in Plattdeutsch. What is Plattdeutsch and let's try a few more phrases!

Hey everyone! I'm Dana and you're watched Wanted Adventure Living Abroad.

Plattdeutsch also known as Niederdeutsch in German and Plattdüütsch, Nedderdüütsch,

Platduuts, or Nedderduuts in Plattdeutsch, is called Low German or Low Saxon in English.

Yeah, I think that this dialect has more than enough names.

Plattdeutsch is spoken in northern Germany and also parts of the Netherlands. Nowadays

it is "just" a dialect, but back in the Middle Ages Plattdeutsch was the main language in

northern Germany and the language spoken by the Hanseatic League.

There are lots of differences between Low German and Standard German: grammar, pronunciation,

spelling, whole words even. Some things in Low German are actually more like English

or Dutch than Standard German. For example in German you say Schiff while in English

and Plattdeutsch it ends with a p: Schipp. Essen in German, to eat in English, and eten

in Low German.

And today I've got a few phrases that I'm going to try out in Plattdeutsch. I'm gonna

do my best and I'm going to say first the English, then the phrase in Standard German,

and then the phrase in Low German.

Where are you from? Woher kommst du? Wonääm kümmst du vun af? No that was terrible! Wonääm

kümmst du vun af? I can do it better if I'm reading it. Can I read it? - No. - I can't read it?

No. - Wonääm kümmst du vun af? Wonään... Wonään...it ends with an M. Wonääm. - Kümmst du.

Kümmst du. - Not kommst. - Yeah, it's different. Woher kommst du? Wonääm kümmst

du? Wonääm kümmst du vun af? I think I kind of got it there!

Nice to meet you! Schön dich kennenzulernen. Schöön, di kennen to lehrn. So here the most thing

that I find different is instead of in German schön dich kennenzulernen, in Plattdeutsch

it's schöön di...kennenzulernen. But the rest sounds really similar. I think. Schöön,

di kennen to lernen. So the schön is different too. It's like schöön. Schöön, di kennen

zu lehrn. Schöön, di kennen to lernen. No, no! Lehrn, lehrn just lehrn. It's so hard

because it's burned into my brain lernen. Hey, schöön, di kennen to lehrn.

I think that was pretty good! I even got the handshake in. I can combine this with moin! Moin, schöön,

di kennen to lehrn! And what was the other phrase that I learned? Building blocks, okay.

Wonääm kümmst du vun af? Moin! Schöön, di kennen to lehrn. Wo...nääm kümmst du

vun af? Moin! Schöön, di kennen zu lernen. No! That was German mixed with Plattdeutsch.

Moin! Schöön, di kennen to lehrn. Wonääm kümmst du vun af? I think that was pretty

good. I did three things. But I already knew moin before that. So I did new things just now.

Okay. Moving on.

So with this one, we don't really have just one standard English expression. I would just

say something like: enjoy! Or maybe: enjoy your meal!

In German: Guten Appetit! Laat di dat lecker smecken! Laat di dat lecker smecken! Let that

to you good taste. Yeah. Laat di dat lecker smecken! Let that to you, no, let to you that.

Yeah. Laat di dat lecker smecken! Let to you that delicious taste.

This one's important when you're learning a new language.

Please speak slower.

Bitte langsamer sprechen.

This one looks really hard. I'm even afraid to try. Snack maal 'n bäten suutje. It's

the last word that I'm really having trouble with. S-U-U-T-J-E. Snack maal 'n bäten suutje.

No, that's definitely not it. I don't know how to say it, but I know that whatever I

just said was definitely not it. Snack maal 'n bäten suutje. I'm pretty sure that wasn't

it, but I think that's the best that I'm gonna be able to get it.

I really love how this one sounds and looks in Plattdeutsch. Okay, I'm gonna try my best.

So in English it is: excuse me! Entschuldigung! Nähm dat man nich för ungood!

So I really like how this one looks because it looks like it's, like, don't take that

for un-good. You know? Like it looks like you're literally telling someone, if you bump

into them, like, don't take that for un-good, you know? Don't take that as, like, a not

good thing. I really, really like how this one looks. Walking through the store. And

I bump into someone and I'm like: oh! Nähm dat man nich för ungood! That's a long thing

to say when you bump into someone.

Very important one now: Where's the restroom? Wo ist die Toilette?

Wonääm is dat Paddemang? I think that was it. Wonääm ist das...nein! Not "ist das."

I switched back into German. Wonääm is dat Paddemang? I think that's pretty good. I'm

pretty happy with that one. I'm sorry! Es tut mir leid! Deit mi Leed.

That one wasn't so bad. Deit mi Leed. Ah, I think, I think, I think, I think I got that one right.

So I can say "I'm sorry" pretty okay, I would say. And also "where is the restroom?"

That's good.

And last one: I don't speak Low German well. Very meaningful, right? This is an important

one to be able to say. All these other ones that I've been doing I've had to act it out.

You know like, where is the restroom? And oh, excuse me! I've had to act it out. This

one I don't need to act. This is just the truth.

Ich spreche Plattdeutsch nicht gut.

Ik snack nich goot Platt. Really not. Definitely not. I think I said that as well as I can.

So my question for you is: How did I do? Okay, I know I probably did pretty bad? But I tried

my best. And what experiences have you had with dialects or less common languages in

a country? Please let me know in the comments below.

Thanks so much for watching! I really hope that you enjoyed this video and also I hope

you'll enjoy the bloopers that are coming up next. Until next time, auf Wiedersehen!

I did it! I think I said as good as I possibly can I don't speak Plattdeutsch very well.

I did just hit myself in the head while I waved. I waved and hit myself in the head.

Paddemang. Paddemang. Paddemang. Paddemang. I really like this word. Laat di dat...

Maybe I should have started with an easier one. Moin! Schön di kennen...Moin.

Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 Quick Look - Duration: 4:44.

this is the samsung galaxy a3 2017 edition

super excited about this phone this is

not the galaxy there this is a different

phone

the reason i'm super excited about this

phone is not because of its

specifications

we're talking about a mid-range device

here this has only got a 1.6 GHz

octacore processor with 2 gigs of ram

and 16 gigs of on-board storage that is

expandable with a microSD card up to 256 gigs

so those specifications don't get me excited

but what does is the size and

also the fact that it has ip68

certification so this right here is the

sony xperia z5 compact I've been rocking

this phone for quite a while now it

came out back in October 2015 so it's

nice and compact and it has ip68

certification the phone that came out

after this the sony xperia x compact

sony dropped the ip68 certification on

that phone so bit of a disappointment there

that is why i am excited about this

phone so I am a fan of smaller sized phones

I like phones that easily fit in my hand that

I can reach the whole screen and fit in my

pocket and I like the waterproofing on

them so i don't have to worry if it rains or

heaven forbid if I was to be pushed into a

pool it hasn't happened but it was to

happen i would need to worry about my

phone being destroyed so this phone

here 4.7 inch display nice and compact

and that important ip68 certification

ok so anyway let's just open up the box

and check out the phone

alright there she is looks very nice

we'll just put that to the side for now

and see what else we get in the box so we

have a quick start guide and other

documentation don't care about that have

a charger here a USB type-c charging

cable and some decent looking earbuds

alright let's just put that the side and have a

look at the phone so size-wise it is a

little bit bigger than the z5 compact so

taller

let's have a look at with a little bit

wider

as well but it is definitely

slimmer we've got the volume on the left

side there power button on the right side will get

the speaker grill here in an unusual

place if the camera wants to focus and get

some light on that there we go speaker there

its no longer on the bottom on the

bottom we just have the micro USB and the

headphone jack so it looks very good

let's just peel this stuff off and

here is the phone in all of its naked

glory stunning-looking phone with the

glass on the front and back and i

believe it is Gorilla Glass 4 takes a few

design cues from the galaxy s7 like the

curved edges here on the back just a

stunning-looking phone i love it in all

black looks very stealthy so anyway I'm

gonna power this on and have a quick play

with it and see how we get on

ok so i've been using the phone now for a

couple of hours and so far i have to say

i am quite impressed i may have finally

found a replacement for my daily driver

which is the aging z5 compact there's

only one thing I'm not quite keen on as

the video support does not support 4K

and only does 1080p not a biggie but

it is a little bit of a downer but over

all though the performance is very good i

love the always-on display there as you

can tell there's a fingerprint magnet

the scanner works very well I haven't

noticed any lag anywhere but yeah I

quite like this phone

nice and compact ip68 certification so

what do you guys think do you like small

phones do you like ip68 certified phones let

me know in the comments below and drop a

like if you want to see a full review of

this phone or if you want to see me do a

comparison between the a3 2017 and the

z5 compact and as always if you haven't

done so already don't forget to

JFK Murder: The Magic Bullet Theory - Duration: 6:01.

So even if you've never actually picked

up a history textbook, you would probably know that this man, JFK

John F Kennedy, the United States President

was shot and killed

while he was going through this motorcade

And he was shot by this man, Harry Lee Oswald

But now if you want to

know more than what is in your history textbook

And you're one of those people who can't go through

those 30 minute long or those hour long documentaries

then here is a quick short overview of

what these conspiracy theories actually rest on

So the most essential concept

is the Magic Bullet Theory. It sounds kind of cool, right?

And it's very easy to understand

So the Magic Bullet theory, is also

known as the single bullet theory

So you shouldn't confuse the two

It is essentially about the same bullet

So the magic bullet theory and the single bullet theory

are the same things

So let's get in to it now

So the magic bullet theory actually rests on the Warren Commission

The Warren Commission was set up

a week after JFK was killed and it was supposed to investigate

what happened. So it was supposed to investigate exactly what happened

and what was the cause of his death. And who killed him?

So the Warren Commission rests on

one assumption. So all of its findings

are based on one asumption, which is critical to

its entire report

which is that Harry Lee Oswald, who was the shooter

was acting alone

So he was the only shooter

So he was the lone shooter

And the second piece of evidence that they had

This second piece is based on a fact

so it's not an assumption

They found an amateur video that actually showed

the entire timeline of the shooting so because of this amateur video

what they found was,

that

the shooting happened within 7.5 seconds

So they have the time right there

The entire shooting was done within 7.5 seconds

The third thing

that we then find out is that Harry Lee Oswald with the rifle that was found

could have only fired 3 shots, so we now know

that only 3 shots were possible, only 3 shots were fired.

Army personnel have

testified to this fact that only

3 shots were possible to have been fired with this rifle that he had

in this time window

So now we have these three 'facts'

Now lets try to

recount what happened to each of those shots

The first shot missed the president

Okay let's go to the third shot

third shot

was the fatal one

the fatal shot

It hit the president's head

And you can see it in videos

you can see the impact when it hits his head

So the third shot hit the president's head and then

so you're left with basically the second shot

and

the second shot needs to explain

all the other wounds

So JFK was not the only person that was hit

Governor Connolly was hit as well

and a total of 5 wounds were there so every

non fatal wound has to be explained by

the second shot. Because all the other shots are accounted for

And that is where the magic bullet theory comes so the second shot

is your single bullet

it is the magic bullet. It is what everything is based on.

Now lets try to understand the path of

this second shot. So to be able to

have all these wounds

it needs to have a certain path where it moved. So you can see

this is the first point of impact.

This is where it pierces

JFK's throat

Then it movies and right over here,

it does this little turn in mid-air.

Remember it is a magic bullet, it can do that

and then it goes in to his

right shoulder, the Governor's right shoulder at this point.

It then exits through his chest

shatters his ribs, right here.

it then turns right again and

shatters his wrist

and then turns left and lodges in to his left thigh. This is where they found

the fragments in the hospital.

Now critics have said that this magic bullet theory

completely defies the laws of physics.

They say that it is not possible

that only 3 shots were fired

They say that it is not possible that the one magic bullet could have caused

these five wounds.

So they say there should have been 4 shots

They say the first shot missed the president. The second shot pierced his throat.

The third shot is the one that hit Governor Connolly

and the fourth shot was the fatal shot that hit his head.

But the Warren Commission

already agrees

that only

three shots

were possible

Hence

If

there were four shots

there must have

been a second shooter.

So if there was a second shooter

then there must have been

a conspiracy to kill the President

of the United States.

So there you have it!

The magic bullet theory! You cannot explain any conspiracy theory

theory about JFK's death without discussing

the magic bullet theory.

If you'd like to know more about the JFK conspiracy theory

we have more videos on our 6 minute series you can click on. Thank you for watching!
