5 Superstars WWE Is Completely Misusing
5 TYE DILLINGER Tye Dillinger has had one hell of a long journey to the point he finds himself in today.
Although he made a name for himself in NXT, a select few of you may remember that he was once known by a different name in WWE before they had taken up residency at Full Sail University.
Back then Dillinger was known as Gavin Spears. He wrestled in WWE's developmental territories and even made a couple of appearances on the company's failed reboot of ECW. His Perfect Ten gimmick is what got Dillinger over in NXT though, and it was seen as a big and deserved deal when he arrived on SmackDown Live. Aside from a brief foray into the United States Title scene though, Dillinger hasn't had much to do and is currently AWOL from Tuesday nights.
4 CURT HAWKINS Curt Hawkins is another man who has been in and out of the WWE locker room a couple of times. You'd have thought his latest run would have seen him ascend a little further up the card, especially considering the vignettes that preceded his comeback, but alas it wasn't to be. Instead, Hawkins is currently on an epic losing streak.
Hawkins has lost well over 100 matches in a row at this point and seems to be going for the opposite of Goldberg's legendary streak. He even tried to make his current streak into a gimmick and you'd have thought WWE might have jumped on board with it. They haven't though and Hawkins' unquestionable talent is going to waste.
3 BAYLEY Has WWE managed to screw up any NXT Superstar as much as they have Bayley? While NXT Women's Champion, Bayley truly felt like she could be one of the biggest stars of her generation.
Despite her colorful and bright appearance that was probably aimed towards younger fans, she managed to win over the entirety of the NXT Universe regardless of demographic. By now, she could have been WWE's greatest asset, yet since becoming a part of Raw something just hasn't clicked.
There was an opportunity to have her win the Women's Championship at WrestleMania this year and shoot her to the moon, but WWE couldn't help themselves and pulled the trigger too early.
Ever since Bayley has been lackluster and they need to figure out a way to change that.
2 FINN BALOR Sticking with the NXT theme, while Bayley was doing her thing on the women's side of things at Full Sail Finn Balor was becoming the longest reigning NXT Champion.
WWE knew exactly what they had when Balor arrived on Raw. The Irishman defeated Roman Reigns on his very first night on the main roster, then a month later he was crowned the company's first ever Universal Champion.
Sadly, just one day later that reign came to an end as The Demon King had to sit out with a shoulder injury. Since his return he hasn't really been treated like the mega star that he is. We're still waiting for his Universal Championship rematch and he is currently losing to Kane on an almost weekly basis.
1 BRAY WYATTWhat on earth has WWE done to Bray Wyatt? The Eater Of Worlds seems to have it all and was even touted as potentially being the second coming of The Undertaker. That's high praise indeed, and Wyatt has demonstrated that he is capable of living up to it. He's the kind of wrestler that doesn't need championships to make his angles or his character special.
He needs WWE's help though, and at times it's almost as if the company admitted that they don't know what to do with him. Nowadays, his promos are more gibberish than intimidating.
Some interest was generated via the Sister Abigail angle, but Wyatt fell ill and WWE have apparently forgot that the storyline ever even existed.
