Yesterday, with over 35 thousand applications received, enrollments were made to the competition for school leaders announced by the Ministry of Education last November.
This is the first competition for the recruitment of deans after more than six years: the last one dates back to 2011.
Of the 35044 applications submitted, 70.7% were sent by female candidates, 29.3% by men.
The average age of candidates and candidates is 49 years.
The Region in which more applications were submitted is Campania (7039), followed by Sicily (5.595), Lazio (3.887), Puglia (3.719) and Lombardy (3051).
There will also be 15 candidates residing abroad who will hold the preselective test in Lazio, as required by the competition announcement issued in November.
There are 2,425 places for applications, of which 9 for the competition for Slovenian or bilingual language schools in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The calendar of the preselective test of the competition will be announced in the number of 27 February 2018 of the Official Journal (Competitions and exams).
The new competition for managers aims to cover the available places for the next three years, 2018-2021.
Currently there are 6,792 executives in service, 1,189 vacancies, 1,748 regencies.
68.2% of managers in service are women, 31.6% are over 60 years old (a figure that is however down compared to the past), the average age is 55.6 years.
The competition will therefore allow to reduce the phenomenon of the regencies until 2020/2021, emphasizes the Ministry of Education, in a statement.
