Romelu Lukaku injury: Latest updates as Man Utd star is stretched off after head clash
Manchester United striker Lukaku went up for a header with Wesley Hoedt after just nine minutes. The Belgian received a blow to the back of the head after winning the ball.
He received treatment from medical staff on the field and was given oxygen. Lukaku was eventually stretchered down the Old Trafford tunnel as fans from both sides gave him a standing ovation.
He was treated at Old Trafford and Jose Mourinho told MUTV that he expects his No.9 to be sidelined for at least two games.
BT Sport pundit and former Arsenal defender Martin Keown said: "You just can't take any risk with that nowadays. "We've heard some horrendous stories about the long-term effects.
"It's best now that he rests up for a number of days. "He's got all the officials around him making sure that will happen.".
Lukaku had already missed one chance in the day's late kick off as United try to recover from three games without a win. Manager Jose Mourinho brought on Marcus Rashford as his replacement.
