Waching daily Apr 4 2017

My Erie is a city that faces great adversity.

Like the bitter winter waters lapping our shores, the population ebbs and flows -

people come and go, places fade and change.

Century old bricks and rusted beams seem to suggest that our brightest days lie in the

past.

Erie as we know it was built by battered knuckles on calloused hands,

bound together by oil-stained work clothes and countless time sheets.

With deliberate determination, we overcome our obstacles.

Behind the frigid walls that once held the everyday worker, there lies a world that we

learn from, and rise from.

My Erie laughs at every loss, blooming beautifully by recreating itself.

What was lost will be renewed.

Day in and day out, my Erie awakens.

We stay alive by leaning on the lessons learned from decades of fueling furnaces and forging

metal: work hard,

arrive early, stay late.

Each neighborhood a bit different, but each neighbor a bit similar in grit, determination,

and fortitude.

Weathered by the winters but warmed by the summers,

we toil, and we emerge -

stronger.

My Erie builds upon its bedrock.

Brick by brick, we rebuild walls tested and worn by time.

Each revision informed by history and influenced by ideas of yesterday,

but molded for tomorrow.

We pivot, we evolve.

We prepare for the march toward a new horizon; a horizon that seeks rebirth for our children

and our children's children, in hopes that they too can find strength and

opportunity in our city.

We stride forward.

My Erie continues to manufacture opportunities.

We fill the blank space on our city's canvas, and outline new potential.

We embrace the chance to build upon the culture that came before us.

To innovate.

To lead.

To fill the voids we didn't even know existed.

We seek out new opportunities.

We welcome new neighbors, adding new voices to our chorus.

We see the undeniable potential in our city, and we want to be here to bear witness.

We don't just want to observe this new history, we want to participate in it.

We remember that our power is unbridled, our reach is boundless,

and our home is entirely ours.

There is still much canvas to adorn; Much open water to sail;

Faces to reveal; And growth to foster...

For one another.

For future generations.

For Erie.

We proudly proclaim this is Our Erie.

#40 Confidence is something You DO (Life Coaching) - Duration: 5:15.

let's say you're driving and as you're

driving you're looking at the scenery

and then you hear

can tell as cars are going by as

motorcycles are going by that something

happened so you stop the car you open the

door you go outside and you see that the

tire is flat well you go to the back

you change it you put the tire on and the

result is that now you can get in the

car because now you have a new tire that

you put on the car the result was that

you tire yet in order to get that tire

on the car you went through a procedure

let's say that you're at your favorite

restaurant and you're ordering a big

bacon burger you like it you see it on

the menu you're like this is gonna be

yummy so the waiter brings the yummy

burger and you're looking at it you take

that

bite out of it

yeah this is good there was a whole

bunch of things that went on in the

background to get that burger to your

plate there's a whole bunch of things

that happen in order to make that yumminess

possible the result is the yumminess

yeah that yumminess is happening because of

certain procedures

here are the train tracks and the train passes here every

few hours or it leaves every few hours

or whatever it does it goes through

certain rules it goes through certain

rituals to get it here on time and in

order to get it here on time so that

people climb into it and go all the

way to Fort Worth to hang out with the

cows hanging out with the cows is the

result yet the process that it goes

through in order to do that be here on

time and get the people out to Fort

Worth is the procedure

I walk in right and I look to my right and there's this

organized procession of donuts and

they're all just sliding by looking

beautiful and they're glistening with

the light it's Krispy Kreme donuts and

they're getting bathed with that

yumminess and they're coming out and you

get a free one that the light is on the

result is I go in there I see the light

is on and I get a free donut and in

order to get that free donut in order to

make that donut happen that donut

process went through a procedure that

allowed that donut to go into my hand

and into my mouth and then to my belly

and it's a yummy the result that results

required procedure

when I was a boy I was in school and I was playing football and

somebody threw the football and I went

running for it and the ball hit my

finger and this finger actually broke

or got dislocated and it looked funny so

I went to the doctor doctor looked at it

he kind of played around with it and he

pulled it into place and then he fixed it

few weeks later everything was fine in

order to make everything fine and be

okay so that I had functional hands

two functional thumbs the doctor went

through a procedure

and confidence is like that finger or like that fixed tire

or like that yummy burger or having a

train on time they all work because of a

procedure

confidence works because you run a procedure

Today in Military History: 4/4 - NATO is established - Duration: 1:40.

- Today in military history: 1949.

NATO is established.

It was originally established in 1949

with 10 European member countries

plus the United States and Canada.

Since then, the alliance has expanded to 28 members.

NATO's original goal was to dissuade Soviet

aggression through Article 5 of the original treaty.

Article 5 states that an attack on any member

of NATO is an attack on all members of NATO,

and that all member nations are obligated

to come to their mutual defense.

Article 5 has only been invoked once

in the history of the alliance:

on September 12, 2001, just a day after

the 9/11 attacks, the NATO council

invoked the principle of Article 5,

promising to deploy military assets

in support of American defense.

And they did.

In the months following the attacks,

13 NATO countries flew

over 360 sorties in American skies

to prevent another attack by air.

NATO standing naval forces patrolled

the Mediterranean for years

to deter terrorist activity

and shut down illegal trafficking in the area.

Now, NATO is returning to its roots

as the alliance helps member nations

train and prepare for conventional operations

following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Oh! What to know what happened

yesterday in military history?

Go on and look right there.

And if you want to know what happens tomorrow,

6 QIGONG EXERCISES FOR CULTIVATING HEALING ENERGY - Duration: 14:39.

6 QIGONG EXERCISES FOR CULTIVATING HEALING ENERGY

Qigong combines both meditative and physically active elements. The physical elements are

expressed through relaxing, visualization, stretching, and breathing. Its a mind-body

practice that first developed over 5,000 years ago, and comprises an important aspect of

traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). There is also a term commonly used in the medical

community related to this type of practice, known as Medical Qigong(MQ). Its a mind-body

practice that uses physical activity and meditation to harmonize the body, mind, and spirit.

Proponents of Qigong understand that some of our discomfort, sickness, and pain are

a result of energy blockages or a stagnation of energy flow in the energy channel in the

human body. According to this theory, if there is a free flow and balance of energy,

health can be improved and/or maintained and disease can be prevented, a study published

in the Annals of Oncology explains. The study also cites several others that demonstrate

the many health benefits Qigong offers, such as lowered lipid levels, blood pressure, and

levels of circulating stress hormones, enhanced immune function, improved well-being, and

positive effects on inflammation and fatigue in cancer patients.

This type of energy is also associated with entanglement. A study published in the

American Journal of Chinese Medicine, as seen in the the US National Library of Medicine,

demonstrated that a women with special abilities was and is able to accelerate the germination

of specific seeds for the purposes of developing a more robust seed stock. Her name is Chulin

Sun, and she is a member of the Chinese Somatic Science Research Institute and a Waiqi practitioner,

which is a type of Qigong that teaches the practitioner to bring the Qi energy of traditional

Chinese medicine under the control of the mind. (source) You can read more about this

woman here.

Here is another related CE article that weve also published on the subject:

How QI (CHI) Energy Flows Through The 12 Meridian Points That Exist Within Your Body

The great thing about is is the fact that anyone, no matter their age or physical condition,

can practice Qigong. The article linked above describes how Qi energy moves through 12 different

meridian points that exist throughout our body. People have reported it as a great way

to maintain your health, manage illness, extent longevity, attain enlightenment or a

greater spiritual understanding, enhance concentration, improve breathing, and more.

Qigong Physical Exercises

Below is a list that was put together from a TCM scholar named Misha Cohen. She was trained

in acupuncture at Lincoln Hospitals Detox Program in the South Bronx under the auspices

of the Quebec School of Acupuncture. After that she continued her studies in Traditional

Oriental medicine. For more than two decades she has been developing treatment protocols

for people with HIV/AIDS. Internationally recognized, Misha is a leader in the field

of Chinese medicine and a great place to start if youre new to this subject and want to

learn more. The list below was put together by her in her book titled The New Chinese

Medicine Handbook: An Innovate Guide to Integrating Eastern Wisdom With Western Practice For Modern

Healing.

This comprehensive guidebook combines Chinese dietary guidelines with Western medicine,

plus various other Eastern and Western healing therapies, including:

-Basics of Chinese medicine -Acupuncture and moxibustion

-Qi Gong: Chinese exercise and meditation -Dietary practices

-Chinese herbal therapy

Warm Up Exercises

Qigong Exercise One: Gentle Sway

1. For five minutes, move both of your arms from your shoulders in a gentle swinging motion.

The motion itself is initiated from your waist: Twist from the waist as though your torso

were a washcloth that you were wringing out. Dont twist from the knees or you may harm

them. Furthermore, twisting from the waist provides a massage to the internal organs

and provides you the full benefits of the exercise.

2. To get started, move your arms side to side across your torso, and then back to front.

3. Keep your knees slightly bent. Let your hips sway. Allow your mind to clear. At first,

focus on the release of unnecessary and unconscious stress. After several weeks, you may shift

your focus so that you think only about the swaying of your arms and the motion of Qi

energy.

This introduces you to the concept of being mindful of the present, much the same concept

as found in Zen walking. The same concept of mindfulness is found in the practice of

Zen Walking.

Related CE Article: How To Absorb Earths Free Flowing Electrons Through The Soles of Your

Feet.

Qigong Exercise Two: The Bounce

In the beginning, try this for one to three minutes.

1. With your feet parallel and about shoulders width apart, bounce with your knees loose

and your arms hanging at the side. They should feel empty and neutral. This is the zero position

for your arms. When you are bouncing back and forth, your arms in zero should get a

nice jiggling effect.

2. Keep your shoulders natural; neither pull them back or let them slump forward too much.

When the zero position is used on the whole body, you should receive a feeling of deep

relaxation throughout your body. This process brings awareness of internal tension so that

you can do something to dispel it, if you choose.

The combination of exercises one and two gently massages and tonifies the Organ Systems, which

helps promote longevity.

Stand with your feet parallel and about shoulders width apart.

Awareness Exercises

Qigong Exercise Three: Accordion

In this, you feel the Qi energy by using your hands like the bellow of an accordion or a

bicycle pump.

1. Close your eyes halfway. Clear your mind and concentrate your attention on your palms.

2. Allow your breath to become slow, easy, without force. In a way, you are creating

the very lightest trance.

3. Bring your hands together, palms touching and fingers pointing upward. The palm chakras,

called Laogong, located in the center of the palms, should be touching. These chakras are

areas where Qi can be felt emanating from the body.

4. Slowly move your hands, keeping the chakras aligned. When they are about 12 inches (30

cm) apart, slowly move them together using the least amount of physical effort possible.

5. You will be compressing the air between them like an accordion would.

6. Feel a warm or tingling sensation at the Laogong points on your palms.

7. Move your hands slowly back and forth, varying the range of the bellows. Repeat the

accordion technique in different directions: horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.

This exercise cultivates Qi, builds awareness, and sensitizes yourself. When you feel Qi

energy for the first time, it changes your mind-set.

The palm chakras, called Lagong

Qigong Exercise Four: Extending the Qi

If you have Deficient Qi, you should perform this exercise with your eyes half closed to

cultivate and accumulate Qi energy.

1. If you have Stagnant Qi, the exercise may be done with your eyes fully open. You will

inhale swiftly through your nostrils with your eyes open or half closed when you exhale.

2. Once you can sense the Qi, exercise your intention (which is the mind/spirit part of

the exercise) and use your mind to move your Qi out from your body, expanding the zone

in which you are comfortable. You may allow the Qi to drift out on the exhalation and

then hold it there as you inhale.

When you have learned to be comfortable expanding and contracting your Qi, you will feel stronger

and healthier.

3. First move the Qi into an orbit 1 inch (2.5 cm) from your skin. In increments of

6 inches (15 cm), move it outward, aiming for 3 feet (91 cm), but find the point where

you are comfortable with it. Then bring it back in until it returns close to your body.

This qigong exercise allows you to communicate with your Qi energy. By increasing the distance

away from your body that you can feel Qi, you expand your area of comfortyour field

of generosityin the world around you. You will have less fear and greater abilities.

By being able to bring your Qi halo in to skin level (or inside your skin) you may become

more centered, calm, and self-assured. When you have learned to be comfortable expanding

and contracting your Qi, you will feel stronger, healthier, and more in harmony internally

and externally.

Qigong Exercise Five: Pumping The Qi

This is a tricky exercise that moves the Qi energy along the two connecting Extraordinary

Channels: the Du Mai and Ren Mai. You may think of it as evolve, devolve, because your

posture goes from a slumped, gorilla-like stance to an upright extended pose. It is

adapted from the Wild Goose Qigong exercise routine.

1. The first position pushes the Qi down. As your hands push flat down, your spine and

head straighten upward. Then as you allow the Qi to flow back upward, your hands rise,

elbows bent and palms parallel to the floor. Your shoulders hunch. Repeat this six or seven

times, inhaling as your hands come up and exhaling as your hands go down.

2. When you are comfortable with this Qigong exercise, you may combine it with a slow intentional

walk forward: left knee bent and raised in an exaggerated stepping motion. When your

knee comes up, your hands go down and back and your spine straightens; when your foot

touches the ground, your hands come up and your back hunches. Place your feet very gently

on the ground and allow each step to proceed in slow motion, at a tempo that soothes and

relaxes. Remember to maintain a breathing pattern, too. Inhale as your hands come up

and your shoulders hunch. Exhale slowly, expanding your chest as you straighten your back. If

this feels awkward, dont despair. Even in a classroom situation, it takes a while

to catch on to what to do.

Qigong Exercise Six: Blending Qi

This exercise should help you become aware of various resonations of Qi energy and learn

to blend them into a harmonious flow.

1. Stand with your feet a shoulders width apart, with your knees slightly bent. Allow

your hands and arms to hang at your sides.

2. Shift your weight slightly to the balls of your feet. Simply be aware of the front

side of your body. Concentrate on the Channels that pass along the front of your legs and

torso, the top of your hands and arms, and your face.

3. After one minute, shift your weight to your heels. Become aware of the back of your

body: the back of your head, your arms, your spine, and your legs. With practice, you may

hold these postures for up to five minutes or longer.

4. You can also do this for the left and right sides of the body.

5. In each instance, you may want to become aware of each section of the body. For example,

the side of your head, the side of your arm and torso, your outer hip, the side of your

leg and ankle, and the length of your foot. This makes the exercise a meditation.

6. Now, shifting to a more Nei Dan form of Qigong exercise, repeat the first three steps,

but the motion should not be detectable visually. Use your mind to shift your weight forward

and backward, feeling your Qi flowing along the front and back of your body.

7. Next, try to feel your Qi flowing along your back and front simultaneously.

Students are often bewildered by the idea of feeling two sensations at the same time,

but a useful analogy is to think of the color yellow and the color blue. When you blend

those two colors together, you produce green. That green then becomes its own entity with

its own wavelength. The same is true of blending the Qi energy from your front and from your

back. The blend becomes another entity with its own resonation.

Qigong has both Yin and Yang aspects: The Yin is being it; the Yan is doing it.

Putin: Russia is Prepared for Eternal Sanctions - Duration: 6:07.

And now about the event that gathered over 500 journalists

from all over the country in the Northern Capital.

The center of attention on the 4th Media Forum

of the All-Russia People's Front "Truth and Justice"

is development of independent journalism.

Vladimir Putin answered questions from the forum participants until noon.

They asked about the relationship between press and authorities,

Internet regulations, medical issues, the roads, the sanctions,

and about the unsolved issue of the deceived investors.

Pavel Zarubin is reporting.

Over 500 journalists from all over Russia. Today they have a chance to ask Putin any question.

There is a massive crowd by the entrance.

Media forum began at 1 pm. At that time St. Petersburg lived its regular life.

Journalists came with questions that bothered them and their regions the most.

Our optimization is conducted under the slogan "Liquidate everything".

Liquidate anything that's still left and that might still work for people.

Find the time to ask our

new authorities what they want from the people.

And why they're taking our medical care away.

It's too bad that such processes take place in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast.

Although in general, in the country, the improvement is obvious.

If that weren't true, we wouldn't have such high birth rates

and such low mothers' and children's death rate.

It wouldn't happen.

I'd like to later discuss the issue of medical care in the region with

the Minister and authorities of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast.

We will have a separate conversation on the subject.

People don't have any back communication.

There is no clear feedback.

In Sverdlov Oblast

they eliminated the election of cities' mayors.

We could of course solve the issue and bring everybody back into the same mainstream or stable.

I wouldn't want that, I'd like to let the local officials find and work out

a way of forming authority, which would be the most acceptable for this specific region.

We have a multi-national country.

For instance, in some Federal subjects in Caucasus,

there are traditionally 1, 2, 3, 4 majority ethnic groups

and they must all be represented in the authorities.

It's been like that for decades, maybe even for centuries.

But sometimes these issues must be solved on their own.

Should there be any additional regulations for what's happening online?

One of the journalists reminded,

that the worldwide web has its benefits, but it also has threats.

That's why they have such harsh filters in China, for example.

This unkempt quasi-free Internet surfing no longer exists.

So we shouldn't criticize what they do in China. They have 1,5 billion people.

1,5 billion!.. Go and try

to control 1,5 billion people.

Napoleon once said, "China is sleeping, and let them sleep for as long as possible".

Well, China's been awake for awhile now. And these processes need to be controlled.

We have certain restrictions, which everybody knows about.

That includes suicide propaganda, child pornography,

terrorism propaganda.

People were afraid, like Vysotsky used to say,

"Even the war parade is now banned. Soon they'll ban everything to hell."

But no, nothing's banned.

Everything is functioning and functioning well.

In my opinion, these restrictions are enough for now.

The general idea should be that "illegal things are not allowed".

There were almost no international topics today.

And only once, in an agriculture question, they asked about the western sanctions.

I base my actions on the premise that these sanctions aren't forever.

And if they do,

we'll always limit the market flow of the merchandise that we can produce ourselves.

We don't limit everything from every single country.

We carefully choose what to limit.

We used this sanctions to fight back, but not to harm ourselves, but to help ourselves.

This definitely helps us.

One of the most resonant regional topics is the issue of the deceived investors.

A lot of those who suffered from the Su-155 real estate development received help.

We're very happy, very pleased that we have out own place now.

Thank you, everybody.

In 14 regions the building weren't completed.

People were left with no money and no place to live.

That's 14 regions.

Within the past year, construction is complete in 10 of them.

But there is still a lot left to build in the remaining regions.

Part of that will be finished by the end of this year.

Everything will be finished by 2018.

We will properly control the situation.

Not long before the Media forum the President talked to the Laptev Sea shore.

They are about to begin drilling the northern-most well in Russia's Arctic sea shelf.

Right now in the eastern part of the water way of the Laptev Sea

begins the major project of opening a whole petroleum bearing province.

I know that this is complex work, a highly technological operation.

This is just the first well.

There's so much more to come.

I want to wish you luck and success with this beginning.

Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, we ask your permission

to begin drilling the first search well in the eastern Arctic region.

Begin.

Begin drilling.

The drilling has begun. We'll report job progress to you.

The potential of the Laptev Sea, according to preliminary estimates,

is about 10 billion tons of oil.

Pavel Zarubin, Andrey Melnikov, Yuri Lebedev, Aleksandra Terpugova, Vesti, St. Petersburg.
