MSI GTX 1080 Ti Review - Duration: 4:54.
Nvidia is set to get the hardware enthusiasts
either crazy or bankrupt
as it drops a bomb in the market
at least once every generation of its new chips.
Bomb that its explosive material is fps.
GTX 1080 Ti was expected to be powerful
but not THAT powerful.
Before we get on with the review let me tell you
that this is the most powerful gaming graphics card your money can buy.
So we just got in Unboxholics studio the brand new GTX 1080 Ti by MSI
called Gaming X 11G
which is flirting with the title of the best implementation of the best Nvidia chipset.
The card arrived in the usual package
only that this time the notes and the driver's CD
are all neatly put in an envelope.
MSI's GTX 1080 Ti follows the same design with the GTX 1080.
But the size has changed significantly.
From 2 slots on the motherboard, 1080 Ti has now moved to 3 slots.
So keep that in mind.
Being wider, gave the company the chance to have a big GeForce GTX logo
which I'm used seeing on Nvidia cards.
Other than that, the card is exactly the same on appearance.
The same aggressive look with the fins, the bright LEDs between them
The black, heavy backplate on the PCB, etc.
The cooling system is once again the TWIN FROZR VI
with the two big new gen fans, TORX 2.0,
cooling the thicker heat sink which helps the 8mm heat pipes to dissipate heat.
And it works just fine, as the card's load doesn't exceed 70 degrees Celsius.
I have to say the same kind words for the noise level and don't forget
that the fans start spinning only when the card exceeds 60 degrees Celsius.
Up until then, the card is completely silent.
I was absolutely satisfied with the power consumption too
since the chip, through its two 8-pin ports, needs about 285Watts on load.
That means you need a quality power supply above 600Watts
and I undescore the QUALITY there.
On connectivity the card provides two Display Port 1.4
2x HDMI 2.0 and a DVI-D port.
SLI is supported of course.
GTX 1080 Ti uses the fresh GP102-350 chip of Pascal architecture on 16nm.
The same chip appeared on Titan X with a few tweaks.
11GB GDDR5X of memory are available for extreme performance
which oddly uses memory bus of 352-bit instead of 384-bit we saw on Titan X.
The memory though is at 11GHz and not 10GHz it was on Titan X
and performs at a bandwidth of 484GB/s,
number which is marginally larger than the one of Nvidia's Titan.
We have 3584 cuda cores, 224 texture units and 88 ROPs.
The core is clocked at 1480MHz on silent mode
and reaches 1683MHz on overclock mode in boost.
On that mode, the memory reaches 11124MHz.
But what does all that mean?
First of all, on Full HD resolution, the card won't provide
significantly better results than GTX 1080.
Or even than GTX 1070 for that matter.
Where it shows its capabilities and kills the competition
is on 2K and 4K resolution.
The higher the resolution the more power you get from this beast.
As long as you have the right processor of course.
Being a GTX 1080 owner for a long time now and playing on 4K resolution,
I saw the FPS counter rise dangerously high and sometimes
the difference with the already powerful GTX 1080 reached 30fps.
30fps in 4K with ultra settings and with the tech the games provide today
is certainly a big deal.
This card beats even Titan X, which is much more expensive
and make it blush in shame.
GTX 1080 Ti is available in the Greek market
at a price that comes close to €1.000.
I don't need to mention that these products are for those
that want only the best, those than can and want to spend
two Greek monthly salaries for a graphics card.

Today I finally get to open my April Butybox on set with you!
I've been waiting for this for a long time! I'm so excited!
This is actually my first time trying a monthly beauty subscription service because
it took me awhile to find someone who would actually deliver to Taiwan...
When I found out about Butybox, I was so thrilled!
This guy cost me $395NTD per month,
and I should be getting 4-6 makeup and/or skincare products.
I can't wait any longer, so let's open it right now!
I'm so excited!
It looks quite nice actually!
This is a little greeting card, and on the back of it,
these are the product intro for this month.
The first one out of the box is a
moisturizing sheet mask from My Beauty Diary, a local Taiwanese brand.
They said this has rose essence in it,
so it should be very soothing and hydrating for dry skin.
I used to be a big fan of this brand when I was in high school,
but for some reason I just haven't tried any of their products for a long time.
So I think think it will be interesting to give it a go again!
And I do think this mask is just for me because
I have dry skin and rose is my favorite flavor!
I'm very excited to try this guy tonight!
The second item out of the box are a shampoo and conditioner from a French brand.
I'm sorry I don't know how to pronounce the name, but I will write it down below for you.
This Lumicia series is apparently a new line of products they just came out for younger girls.
They should be giving your hair more shine, more luminance,
and just make it look more smooth.
By the way, they smells so good!
They smell like cherry, roses...
Basically just smell like spring and I'm already in love with them!
Item 3 is a anti-wrinkle serum from another French brand, Sothys.
This guy is expensive!
Their regular product is 30ml, and for that single bottle,
it would cost $4,800NTD! It's not cheap!
I think it's a great idea for me to wear some anti-wrinkle serum at night
because I do have a lot of it on my forehead.
I want to try a little bit on the back of my hand now
The consistency is pretty thick, and it has a floral, citrusy smell to it.
I like it!
Next, item 4 is a spray perfume from VERSACE called Bright Crystal.
I'm not a big perfume person. I don't buy perfume and I don't usually wear perfume...
But I want to try the scent.
I think I smell like I'm 15 years old right now!
It's so sweet! It's got this...
grapefruit peel, grapes, cherry, roses and lotus flower smell.
It's a little too sweet for my taste so I'll probably give it to my friend.
Item 5 is a ultra makeup remover from My Beauty Diary, the same brand.
They said this has no preservatives, no mineral oil, no alcohol and no fragrance.
That's good!
I'm going to put a little bit of the lipstick i'm wearing right now on the back of my hand,
and try to remove it with this makeup remover and see if it works!
Still smell my perfume...
Oh wow! That's really nice!
Look! It's almost gone!
That's good, I'll be using this one tonight then!
The last item from the box is a sunscreen spray from a Taiwanese brand called Deary.
I've never heard this brand before... But this guy has SPF50+,
and it's it's a spray, so it should be pretty easy to use.
I'm going to give it a try right now.
I don't think it has any fragrance to it.
It almost has a matte finish. It's very wearable.
I love sunscreen sprays because they're just so convenient to use!
I can definitely see myself use this one!
These are all of the products I got in my April Butybox!
I have to say this box did exceed my expectations!
I really want to try this ultra makeup remover and this anti-wrinkle serum!
And on top of everything, they also gave us 2 coupon tickets. That's really nice!
So next month, I think I will still order one more Butybox but for my mom,
because it's Mother's Day, so don't tell her!
