What is Uber Eats Driver Job? - Duration: 7:08.

♫ music playing ♫

Hello to everybody.

Today will talk about uber eats — food delivery service

In this video I will review ubereats driver pay and how uber eats delivery service for

driver works, ubereats driver requirements and how to sign up to drive

for uber eats.

ubereats is on demand and online food ordering service and delivery platform

ubereats partners with many restaurants around the globe customers order food on

their website over the phone or tablet application.

No worries I'll tell you

most important information you need to know about ubereats

it's worth to

mention that food delivery market trend becomes very competitive

companies appear on the market like caviar, postmates, doordash and eat 24 by Yelp and many

more

food delivery business growing but today we will talk about uber for

delivery thank you for my friend vlad who drives

in New York and provided actual practical information about this job so

let's answer to our first question how much ubereats drivers get paid?

On ubereats you make money based on mileages or distance,

delivery fee,

surge pricing

which is available for all trips that start in highlighted areas on the map

plus extra earnings so let's make this clear

ubereats pay you two dollars per mile: dinstance between restaurant and uber eats

customer usually not exceeding ten miles

delivery fee: ubereats pay you $3 per

delivery also worth to mention then $2 per mile can be multiplied based on the

area you are driving in: busiest area — greater rate

uber also offering weekly

promotions: 8 deliveries — 20 dollars, 11 deliveries — 40 dollars , 15 deliveries

$80 for example imagine you're driving this evening where ubereats operates so

let's do some math: you've made 11 deliveries each took 3 miles on average

so you ran 33 miles, ubereats pay you $2 per mile now 33 miles

multiplied by 2 and you will get $66 next delivery fee which is $3 per

delivery so if you made 11 deliveries multiplied by 3 dollars and you

will get $33 we will skip surge pricing at this moment and we will go ahead and

calculate extra earnings: because you completed 11 deliveries you will get

$40 extra so let's sum up. You've made $33 from all deliveries

fees and $40 from bonuses and your total will be 139

you can claim gas

on taxes as deductible business expense please find bookkeeper who will help you

to do this right you can use bicycle for deliveries too in this case no driving

license required, no gas expenses and no hazel for an important spot in the

business area of the city in the biggest plus — you actively working out and stay healthy

bike deliveries is very good in dense downtown areas where parking is

difficult, bike courier will be prioritized to make the delivery if the route is

under three miles runs through a congested part of the city and can be

completed on bike friendly streets as of June 2017 they still no in-app tiping so

no tips drivers unlike caviar or postmates or doordash

ubereats doesn't pay tips for delivery at all

how does ubereats work for drivers?

ubereats customer placing an order to ubereats app or website

you receive requests and you get 30 seconds to accept request just remember not to cancel or reject an

order too often, you your ubereats driver app that telling you an

order number and where to pick up the food after you accept requests you also

can see the customer location then you heading to the restaurant and give the

restaurant your order number, wait for your food and pick it up then go ahead

to a customer to drop it off uber will text customer about your arrival at

their location; you have to get out of your car and meet customer at their

door this is what called walking drop-off you can cancel the order and

get five dollar cancellation fee if customer is not coming out for five

minutes; do you have to get out from the car? it depends on the city, you may not need

to get out of the car to complete your delivery

ubereats driver requirements:

you can apply to drive for ubereats on their website

you must be 19 years old or older; 21 years old in Canada; any working car will

qualify you are not required to hold TLC license for ubereats unlike for uber X

so is driving for ubereats is a good job?

if ubereats operates in your area it's

worth to try at this point you already know the difference between ubereats

and uber X; uber pay out how to pick up and drop off for ubereats and requirements

needed to apply for ubereats job

uber changes quickly and I will keep eye on

them
