RealFlow 10 Tutorial: How to create foam for Dyverso fluids - Duration: 8:48.

Hello and welcome to our "Water and Foam" tutorial for RealFlow!

In this lesson we're going to show you how to simulate interacting fluids with different densities.

A typical example for such a project is water and foam.

Let's start with a glass, although there's not too much to say about it.

The object has been modelled in a 3D program with solid walls and then exported to RealFlow.

Then we also need a "Gravity" daemon and a Dyverso "Circle" emitter.

The associated domain will be added automatically, and rename it to "DY_Water".

In the first step, the emitter has to be scaled and oriented to create a nice stream along the glass's inner side.

It normally takes some tests to find working position and rotation values, but with Dyverso you don't have to worry about slow simulations.

And to get a pouring effect, we add an expression to the Z rotation axis instead of keys.

Depending on your axis setup you might have to use the Y coordinate.

And if you want to change RealFlow's axis setup settings just take a look at the "Preferences" section.

But, let's go back to the expression.

What I want to achieve here is an oscillating rotation between 4 and 10 degrees, but you might apply other values.

An oscillation can also be seen as a series of ups and downs, and a sine function is the perfect representation.

Start with "sin(t)", where "t" will be replaced by the current time.

The result is a curve, oscillating between -1 and 1 degrees.

To make the curve higher we multiply a factor, for example 3, and now the amplitude is between -3 and 3.

We also have to shift the entire curve along the vertical axis and this is done by adding a value.

With 3, for example, the amplitude ranges within 0 and 6.

So, we have to add another 4 units to get values between 4 and 10.

We also want to change the number of oscillations, the so-called frequency,

This is done by multiplying time with a factor.

Higher values create more ups and downs and in this scene we're going to work with a factor of 10.

When you scrub the timeline you can see the emitter's oscillation.

Now we can go ahead and adjust emitter speed and randomness:

Here a "Speed" of 5 will be used and the random values care for more realism.

The fluid itself is managed by the domain.

Set the "Type" to "Liquid SPH". SPH is slower than PBD, but it gives us much better results here.

For testing purposes, "Resolution" will be around 20…

…and a surface tension of 10 will also create more drops.

Time for the first simulation.

As you see, some particles leave the glass, but there are a few methods to improve fluid-object collision.

And the first step should always be to enable "Continuous Collision Detection".

So let's give it another try with this option.

We still lose some particles, and therefore we should take a look at the collision mesh.

Go to "Display Volume" and activate "Isosurface".

To get a better view change the glass to "Bounding Box".

And now we can see that there are holes and gaps, and one method to get rid of these holes is to decrease "Cell size".

With 0.025 we get a perfect representation of the glass.

Of course, such a small cell size increases RAM usage and simulation times, but the most important thing is that our object will be watertight.

Then it might also happen that some splash particles leave the scene.

To delete them, add a "k Volume" daemon and resize it to catch the escaping particles.

Finally, a "k Isolated" daemon helps to remove stray particles.

To get rid of them immediately, set "Isolated time" to 0.01 seconds

And now I think it's time for another test.

This looks much better, but we definitely need more particles to fill our glass.

A second "Circle" emitter helps us to accomplish that.

What we're going to do is to switch on the second emitter when the particles hit the glass, and this happens around frame 25.

This means that we're going to animate the "Speed" parameter, but first we have to drag the emitter to the glass's bottom and let it point upwards.

If necessary you can also scale the emitter.

Then, set an animation key at frame 25. "Speed" is 0…

…and at frame 30 the emitter should have a "Speed" of 3.

For a smooth filling behaviour, open the "Curve Editor" and turn the keys into Bezier points.

Now it's also a good opportunity to adjust the glass's parameters for the interaction with the fluid.

Most probably you have to experiment a little with different settings here.

And then we're ready for another simulation.

The result it good, although it would be nice to have more splashes.

As always in such a case we add a "Noise Field" daemon, but this time with a limited scope.

In RealFlow 10 the noise daemon's "Bounded" option has been removed, because this effect can also be achieved with a falloff.

Our daemon should only affect particles inside the glass:

So, check "Enable falloff" and "Display falloff".

Set "Falloff bounds" to "Sphere".

And now, the daemon can be resized.

The falloff zone is the area between the dashed and the full circle.

To make this zone smaller decrease "Falloff percent".

With 0 you have exactly the same behaviour as with the old bounded option.

But here a value of 0.3 appears to be more appropriate.

Finally adjust "Strength" and "Space scale" to your needs and give the simulation another go.

As expected, the new simulation shows much more drops and turbulence. We also have nice splashes, and the particles don't leave the glass anymore.

This means that we are ready to create the foam.

For this purpose we need another Dyverso domain.

Rename it to "DY_Foam".

An emitter is not required, because don't want to create new particles, we only want to shift them from water to foam.

With this kind of simulations it's also very important that both domains share the same "Resolution" to avoid exploding particles.

The foam's "Density" is 400 here to make the particles rise.

Higher "External pressure" creates a slightly stronger expansion, and "Surface tension" helps to create bubble-like structures.

In order to separate the foam from the water visually, you can set the second domain's color to pure white.

Finally we need a condition that will tag some particles as foam and shift them to the "DY_Foam" domain. This is done through a "Filter" daemon.

Specify target and source domains, and define a condition.

After several tests I have found out that "Vorticity" gives the best results.

So, when a water particle's vorticity is at least 80, the particle is considered foam and will be shifted.

But before we can really make use of this property it has to be activated in the domains' "Particle Channels".

To get a better view of the fluid just make the daemons invisible, and we set the final "Resolution" to 150.

Alright. We're done and can start a last simulation.

And here is our final result with lots of drops, nice swirls, and turbulent bubbles.

The foam particles rise because of the lower density. and if you want to create the impression of dissolving foam you can add a "k Age" daemon for example.

As always, thanks for your attention and have fun with RealFlow 10! Goodbye!

RealFlow 10 Tutorial: Emission Mask Parameters for Geometries - Duration: 4:01.

In RealFlow now you can indicate where particles are generated if there is some geometry colliding with a Dyverso fluid.

For this example, we fill a cube with Dyverso particles, interpenetrating inside the geometry Cube02, with which they are also colliding.

Once we select the emitter, the new Emission Mask parameters show up in the Node parameters.

If we check the "From collision objects" parameter, the geometry that collides with the fluid won't allow particles to be generated in its interior.

If this option is active, and we connect a geometry to the Dyverso fluid, the particles are automatically eliminated.

Any transformation applied to the geometry updates the particle system.

In this way, when simulating the scene, only the visible particles are considered.

This is very useful to configure which particles we want to remove from simulating setting what geometries will be added to the Emission Mask parameter.

If a geometry comes from an animated SD or an alembic file, the Emission Mask is adjusted to the animation from the imported files.

The geometry is connected to the fluid in the Relationship Editor. If the option "From Collisions objects" is on, it eliminates the particles that could be inside the geometry.

Keep in mind that the geometry is taking the Isosurface to collide with the fluid. In this way, the particles are removed also depending on that Isosurface.

Changing the cell size of the geometry also changes the Isosurface, and therefore the number of particles removed when colliding with that Isosurface.

Thank you for watching and enjoy Realflow!

Sim Sangjung's advice for those who 'failed' will make you cry! [We Like Zines! / 2017.07.04] - Duration: 17:09.

I can't help but talk about the presidential election.

During the election campaign,

when were you stressed out the most?

During the campaign, we were supposed to sell

the vision or policies that we have in mind.

But we didn't have a means of doing so.

The moment we struggled the most was

during the TV debate.

KBS Debate started first, but KBS told us that

we had to have a minimum of 10 parliamentary seats.

We only have six so I couldn't be in the debate.

So we canceled all the campaign schedules

and we did all that we could to change that.

So many people helped us out and

fortunately, KBS changed that rule.

You were the only female candidate on the debate.

What do you think?

In terms of looks?

Which candidate do you think is the best-looking?

- Out of the four? / - Yes.

Is it too easy?

No, it's hard.

In advanced countries, this is what people say

when they're asked what kind of partner they want.

First, someone who kisses well.

Second...

I've never kissed them so I can't rate them.

(Can't rate the candidates)

Sure.

You know the party slogan that

you yelled out hundreds of times?

The country with proud laborers.

(She yelled out the slogan hundreds of times)

But I heard that you were so nervous before

the debate, that you forgot the slogan.

When politicians are asked a question that's hard

to answer, they say, "I don't remember."

(I've seen this a lot on television...)

You really forgot?

How could you forget something so important?

The host told us to introduce ourselves

by introducing our party slogan, too.

My mind went blank and I couldn't remember.

I got a grip and remembered it.

The country with proud laborers.

I'm candidate no. 5 Sim Sangjung.

Many netizens watched the debate on television and

posted comments on the candidates' images.

You know what they wrote about you, right?

What did they say?

Activist sister.

I've seen that. (I know)

(Here comes the activist sister!)

It's the perfect weather for a reformation.

We are not on television too often.

The few times we are on television,

it's usually when we say

some aggressive words.

(Strong)

(No filter)

(She will say what's on her mind)

People usually see me

as someone with a strong image.

When I first visited my district,

many people said this to me.

Wow. You look better in person.

(District residents are the best)

They really whistled like that?

(An apple-like beauty that calls for whistles)

Everyone seemed very much surprised.

When people met me in person,

they saw that I am pretty and soft-spoken.

During the presidential election

my nickname was changed to Simvely.

Right. Simvely, Simvely.

Sim plus lovely.

(She's very bold in being lovely)

I think the nickname

suits me the best. (She boldly admits it)

(It does suit you well)

Now that I've met you and talked to you,

you are Simvely.

You are so beautiful when you smile.

I'm sure Artist Park is drawing you

that way, too. (Looking forward to the illustrations)

(Make me look Simvely)

What do you do about your outfit and makeup?

What do you mean? I do it myself.

You do?

Sure. I do it myself.

I put on makeup very well on the road.

Especially when I drive over speed bumps.

I continue to draw my eyeliners.

I'm almost like a professional.

When you're going somewhere to campaign...

Sure. I don't have much time.

So I end up putting on makeup in the car.

I would think that you would have a stylist

to do your hair and makeup.

We couldn't possibly think that.

Isn't your salary quite high as a congresswoman?

Yes.

We all get the same pay,

but we don't get to take home the same amount.

Major and minor parties are different.

Our party doesn't have a big enough budget.

So I paid a lot for the special party expenditures.

How much of your salary do you spend on yourself?

A congressman's salary is almost $10,000 a month.

I gave 75% of it to the party

and spent 25% for myself.

- $2,500. / - In the past.

But I have more places to spend now in congress.

So I give 25% to the party

and the rest can be spent for me.

But after making some donations

I get to spend about a third of it.

Is that so?

Isn't U Simin a member of the Justice party?

Yes, that's right.

He's on television a lot so he earns a lot of money.

Does he pay a lot for the party?

I'll look into it.

(It's always dark under the lamp)

I'm glad you brought that up.

He's currently on many television programs.

He should contribute a lot for the party.

That's an excellent idea.

You two are close friends, right?

Weren't you the head of the party together?

Yes, and we went to the same school.

- College? / - Yes.

We're busy so we can't meet often these days.

I look up what he's up to on the internet.

He's doing quite well.

He gets to ride on a train and drink beer.

How nice. That's what I say.

He says he doesn't plan on doing politics again.

For now.

You never know when it comes to politics.

No one knows.

When President Moon was inaugurated,

Yoo Seongmin was the only one who attended.

(The only candidate who was at the inauguration)

(Yoo Seongmin)

(Congratulations)

(Thank you)

Did you have something else to tend to?

There was a ceremony of disbanding.

For our election camp.

The inauguration was decided the night before and

our ceremony of disbanding was scheduled earlier.

So we went to the inauguration after the ceremony,

but we weren't allowed in.

Oh, so you were there, but they didn't let you in.

I was in the car of the National Assembly Plaza.

So you were in the car.

Since the election, many people recognize you

and so many things changed.

What are the things you gained and lost?

Actually, we didn't have anything to lose.

(So cool)

We had nothing to lose in the election.

That's true.

Regardless of the polling rate.

The polling rate was quite low,

but I let the people know of the Justice Party.

I also think I showed people my potential

and got people to have hope in our party.

I think we gained a lot from the election.

What would you say you lost then?

This is quite disappointing. Something like that.

After the election.

It is disappointing.

If only I had a two-digit polling rate.

(It's disappointing, but she can laugh it off now)

Justice Party has 6 seats in the National Assembly.

We call your party the minority party.

You went through many difficulties, right?

Sure.

So in the end, we would say

you were defeated in an election.

The reason that we are writing this book

is to talk to the candidates who lost.

This book is to give hope and courage

to those who have experienced failures in life.

That is why we did an interview today.

Can you say some comforting words for the readers?

You've been through a lot.

You're the mother of failure.

Your book is "The Things I Learn From Failure."

I read it all morning.

(It was a tough challenge for a minor party)

(Thanks to Congresswoman Sim Sangjung)

(They hoped for a surprise ending in the election)

(But there were no surprises)

(Justice Party disappointed by the exit poll result)

(Next time for Justice Party...)

I would like to thank you once again.

You must've been shocked by

the result of the presidential election.

How did you overcome it?

I haven't yet.

I will overcome it when I become the president.

(A wise answer to a silly question)

I realize that my question was quite silly.

Sure. How could you overcome it?

Well, this is what I think.

Our society does not

allow failures.

After undergoing a trial and error, that's it.

But we enjoyed the privilege of failing this time.

I see.

I didn't expect to win the election this time.

Through this presidential election,

I was able to learn the limits and weaknesses of

myself and the Justice Party.

So it was a valuable failure.

Failures are the process to succeed.

But no one can boldly challenge themselves.

That's what's so sad about this society.

I think the most important task that politicians must

do is to guarantee to give people chances so that

failure could become the process to succeed.

Many candidates said that they became energized

by meeting their supporters during the campaign.

Right.

But I saw you giving intense hugs to your supporters

instead of shaking their hands.

Some supporters were crying.

I was able to have enough energy to finish

the election thanks to them.

I didn't plan on hugging them first.

Whenever I went up to shake their hands...

They hugged...

Young people hugged me and cried

as they whispered in my ear.

What did they say?

"My life isn't mine.

Part-time jobs, qualifications

and employment examinations.

Please help me get my life back."

"It's been 2 years since I graduated college.

But I'm still unemployed, so I can't see my parents."

"I'm an intern, but I work too many night shifts

that I can't have children."

I heard many complaints.

Young people are struggling to live in this society

full of irrationalities and inequalities.

But there is no place for them in our society.

They must bear it on their own.

There's no one to help them or to talk to.

So as I met and hugged these young people,

I was determined to do a better job.

That's what I thought.

The book I'm writing on We Like Zines!

is my second book.

During our interview, I've been trying to

come up with the title of your book.

The first title I thought of is

"I Look Better in Person."

(Ha ha ha ha ha)

"I Look Better in Person."

After I've heard you talk, I also thought of this.

"We Have a Right to Fail."

"I'll Succeed Because I Failed."

I thought about that, too.

Which title do you like the best?

Which title would you recommend that I use?

(Looks? Failures?)

"I Should Look Better in Person."

"I Look Better in Person."

"I Look Better in Person."

That includes so many failures.

- Is that so? / - Yes.

There were many failures until

you realized I look better in person.

I think the book will become a pot coaster.

(She's indeed the mother of failures)

While I was watching the first episode of this show,

there was a comment that you made.

- It really impressed me. / - Really?

"Don't try to succeed too quickly."

That's what you said.

Don't try to succeed too quickly.

Take your time. Then it will last longer.

I am comforted by that comment.

You are?

(Then...)

What do you think of me as a Justice Party member?

Would you accept me?

We will sincerely consider

nominating you.

(Good-bye to my life following the ruling party)

- Under one condition though. / - What is it?

You must pay the membership fee.

If you pay a sufficient amount based on what

you said about U Simin earlier,

I will consider nominating you.

(Dizzy)

Have you finished your artwork?

- Did it come out well? / - Yes.

You must treat him well since he's from your district.

Politicians put top priority on their people.

- I'm from your district. / - Really?

Goodness.

My nickname has changed to Simvely.

I think it suits me the best.

(Full of expectation)

(Surprised!)

(Ha ha ha ha ha ha)

(Please work to shine the way for the progressives)

(Beaming a laser?)

After meeting you in person for the first time today,

I realized that you have this glow.

You've drawn my face like a full moon.

So I tried to capture that glow in my work.

"Please work to shine

the way for the progressives."

Thank you.

Why don't you give him an apple?

(Become handsome by eating an apple)

- An apple for him. / - I like it.

We will choose the best artwork for the book.

Photographer Nanna, please take a nice picture

so that people don't say she looks better in person.

Please make her look good.

Artist Park, why don't you join us?

I knew it when you gave him an apple.

The resident of your district.

(Nervous)

The picture will be included in the book.

"With the resident from my district."

I pose like this when I take photos with my residents.

(Am I supposed to do it, too?)

- You're a resident, too. / - Like this.

(The world's most awkward pose)

I'm planning to move there, too.

(Dreaming of a country with proud laborers)

Okay. Thank you.

- Are we done now? / - Yes.

We're done. (Simvely is excited to finish on time)

- Good work, everyone. / - Good work.

You worked very hard.

(Where did Lee Gyeonggyu go?)

Burnley launch £8million bid for Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga

BURNLEY have made an £8million off for Nottingham Forests prolific striker Britt Assombalonga. Despite Forest only just avoiding relegation from the Championship last season, the Zaire-born forward still notched 14 goals.

Britt Assombalonga could be on the verge of joining Burnley for £8m.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche has money to spend now, and wants to improve his striker options. And that has alerted Clarets boss Sean Dyche, who has money to spend following the £25m sale of Michael Keane to Everton.

With striker-cum-winger George Boyd also leaving Turf Moor for Sheffield Wednesday, Dyche looks set for a busy summer.

Assombalonga joined Forest for £5. 5m from Peterborough three years ago, and has gone on to register 30 goals in 47 games as a Championship player. Burnley could face some competition for his signature however.

New Middlesbrough boss Garry Monk is believed to be a big fan, and could ask chairman Steve Gibson to go all out to bring him to the Riverside.

Nottingham Forest certainly dont want to lose their star man. But just last week manager Mark Warburton admitted every players has his price.

Britt Assombalonga has been a prolific striker in the Championship for Nottingham Forest since joining from Peterborough.

Burnley have millions to spend now after they sold Michael Keane to Everton for £30m.   Barnes Burnley special celebration cut short after offside decision .

Middlesbrough are also interested in signing Assombalonga, who joined Forest for £5.5m from Peterborough United three years ago. The 24-year-old, who was born in Zaire before moving to London as a child, has scored 30 times in 47 Sky Bet Championship starts.

Forest manager Mark Warburton said he did not want to sell Assombalonga last week, but did admit that every player has a price on his head.

Michael Keanes departure to Everton for a record £30m fee will have freed up spending money for Burnley manager Sean Dyche as he looks to ready his squad for the new Premier League season after successfully avoiding relegation.

The Clarets are already closing in on Leeds United left-back Charlie Taylor, according to Sky sources.

«SKAM» Carl Martin – nice to meet for one last time (english sub) - Duration: 2:10.

How's it going with the last ending?

Here on this ending?

How does it feel?

It is sad, but I am very happy that we have all gathered here for the last time and its pretty festive.

How has it been to have played Eskild for so long?

It has been fun, step by step and taking it as it comes along

(Can't tell what he is saying)

But he needs it, we need it, we need it to be shown that its not just one type of Gay, like so.

How much have you improvised in the role you have as Eskild? Has it been in the script and you have just done it or have you done some extra?

I have always known that it has been room for improvisation, together with Julie we have talked about it. So I can't say what's have been improvisation and not but it has been a lot of both.

Now it has been 2 hours of gathering, what have you done?

We have enjoyed ourselves and talked to each other and have been drinking some beer

But can you say it has been a little sentimental (?) because it's done?

So nice (?) It is a face out because you have just finished it, but it's also personal because we have to talk to each other and remember the memories. All of the nice things. So it is sentimental.

How do you think this night will be? There will be drinking and partying and do you think you will cry or what's going on? How do you think the party will be?

It will be a little bit of everything I think.

Now there has been a clip which just came out with you and Rakel who plays Linn, have you seen it?

No I have not seen it, I have stood here and talked to you guys so I haven't had the opportunity yet.

It was very sentimental

Was it?

Yes it was very sentimental

Well that's good!

I am very happy that we have been able to finish this together me and Rakel because we have followed each other for a very long time and it has been a very........

(He seriously talks to fast.. SLOW DOWN!) Something about theater school after skam..

I am going to school.

No tv and so for a while?

I want to spend my time on theater school and then after that we will just have to wait and see.

Good luck and thank you for (something..)

It was a nice talk!

RealFlow 10 Tutorial: Adding Wetmaps for Hybrido - Duration: 3:06.

Hello and welcome to the "Hybrido Wet Maps"tutorial for RealFlow.

Wet-Dry maps are an important element to enhance the realism of a simulation.

Unfortunately Hybrido fluids are not capable of generating these maps by default, so we need a quick workaround to create them.

The idea is to use a Dyverso domain to load the Hybrido RPC files, and write out the maps in a post process.

Let's start with a simple scene to illustrate the concept.

Of course, the setup is completely up to you, but please make sure that the objects carry proper UVs, because otherwise the maps will be wrong.

Start with the domain's "Export"tab and check if the RPC cache is active.

Now write down the exact name of the domain, because we'll need it later.

Here the name is "HY_Domain01"

When everything's done simulate as usual.

Then, create a new scene, import the objects, and activate the objects' "WetDry texture" option.

If the objects do not turn black switch on the "WetDry" texture view.

In the next step the map's associated parameters have to be adjusted...

...and when you're ready, open the "Export" tab, enable "Export data" and "Wetmap texture" for all objects.

If you want you can also choose a file format.

Now add a "Dyverso" domain and rename it to "HY_Domain01".

Open the domain' "Export" tab and go to the folder with the original RPC particles.

This action connects the Dyverso domain to the Hybrido simulation.

And to see the particles update the cache.

In order to prevent the original RPCs from being overwritten, set the domain to "Cache"...

...and we can also accelerate the entire process by setting Dyverso's substeps to 1.

Then reset and simulate.

The maps will be displayed during the simulation and when you turn off the domain you can watch the progress in fully glory.

And here are the wet maps for the cube object.

If you are not happy with the results simply change the map parameters and re-simulate.

This method is easy to use and gives you full control over the maps' appearance, but without having to re-simulate the entire Hybrido sequence.

Thanks for watching and enjoy RealFlow 10! Good bye!

Xiou Music - TIPS for new drummers by Kostas Anastasiadis - Duration: 1:45.

One of the most important things in music is visualization

is the "key" word for an artist

to a young man i would suggest to close his eyes to envision

that he is on the drums set with a band

and how all this thing (music) moves

so that to learn , to help the others to be a band.

This to think to envision how to play drums so that help them to have better sound

and for some reason the universe opens and gives him all the supplies

to become a better musician and progress himself.

The second "key" is clearly to buy drum sticks and no need to buy a drum set.

He can set the pillows on the bed and play over , again envisioned the sound of a drum set .

And clearly the third advice is to sing the drums and generally the "key" is the melody,

to sing the song , to sing the melody and to visualise himself how to play drums on it.

so sing........

and will be release himself over the years , watching and playing.

This I believe is the three good "keys".
