The reigning Premier League champions have stepped up their business in recent weeks after a frustrating start to the transfer window.

The Blues have spent big on Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata and are determined to secure more mega-money deals. Conte said: With the club we speak every day about the way to strengthen this team and the squad.

Its normal for every big team to try and reinforce its squad, to improve in the numerical aspect and to improve the quality. I think this is normal.

Conte is said to be keen on Evertons Ross Barkley, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain of Arsenal and Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches among other targets.

The Italian chief wants his club to get deals done as soon as possible so he can work with them before the new Premier League season kicks off.

Chelsea recently snapped up Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko for £40m. He said: Its very important to have the players work with me and understand my idea of football.

Bakayoko, for example, doesn't know anything about my idea of football and he will need a bit of time to adapt and understand.

This is the great difficulty for a coach who has an idea of football and wants to give the team an identity. It's the same now for Morata and Rudiger. If the player arrives as soon as possible it's easier for me..
