Netflix Renews 'Dear White People' for Second Season - Duration: 1:06.

Justin Simien's original Netflix series Dear White People, based on the acclaimed
film of the same name, has been confirmed for a second season.
The first 10 episodes navigate the realities of racial tension, white privilege, and social
injustices on a fictional Ivy league campus.
The show follows a group of young activists as they aim to deconstruct the different facets
of racism.
The producers approach everything from white people uttering the n-word while singing along
to certain tracks, to a black student unjustly staring down the barrel of a gun while being
racially profiled by campus police.
Logan Browning, who plays the show's protagonist Samantha White, told Complex back in February
that, "Sam is a bi-racial student at this Ivy League school, Winchester.
She is just sick and tired of the racial tensions and stereotypes on campus."
When referencing the original 2014 film that inspired the show, Complex writers said,
"If you had to make a list of movies that white people need to watch to understand the
plight of non-white people in Trump's America, 2014's Dear White People would be at the top
of that list."

'One English Tip in One Minute for
Portuguese Speakers' where every week I
talk about one common English mistake
made by those who speak Portuguese as a
mother tongue...and this is the 36th video,
or video number 36.
If you've watched my other videos then
you know exactly what I'm going to say,
and I really do mean it. I totally
admire that you are working to improve
your English, and I hope that you keep it
up. I hope you use these videos to
help you. I think they are helpful if you
follow the tips. In these videos, I show
you a slide, and on the slide there are
two sentences: One is the correct way a
native English speaker would say it, the
other is the wrong way a native
Portuguese speaker might say it, and you
need to decide which one is correct.
Why don't you do that now? Read the
sentences, listen to me read the
sentences, pause the video, think about
your answer and I will talk about the
answer in the slide that follows this
next slide.
If you got it
wrong, or you took a wild guess and you
just happened to get it right -- it's really
not a big deal. It just means you have to
study a little bit to get past it.
Hopefully now you understand the reason
for the mistake as I discussed it in the
last slide...and hopefully you will study
these sentences I give you on the next
slide..and hopefully you will study them in
their entirety, hopefully you will review
them and hopefully you will put into
practice what you've learned through
speaking or writing or both...and,
hopefully, if you still don't have it
then, that you go outside of these videos
and learn from the many resources out
there -- including my own -- and you keep
working at it until you get past the mistake

CHELSEA look set to be pipped to the transfer of Leonardo Bonucci by Barcelona. Rumours have abounded all summer that Antonio Conte will add the 30-year Juventus players to the ranks at Stamford Bridge.
Leonardo Bonucci is now on the radar of Barcelona, which could prove fatal for Chelsea.
With John Terry released, Nathan Ake sold to Bournemouth and doubts over whether Kurt Zouma is ready for a first-team spot, Bonucci was viewed as the ideal signing.
But Italian news-site Tuttosport are reporting that the Catalan giants, who are set to be remodelled somewhat under new boss Ernesto Valverde, are now in for the centre-half.
And that could spell big trouble for Chelsea, and Manchester City, who are also eyeing some defensive additions.
SunSport has previously reported how Conte has reportedly laid "siege" over his bid for Leonardo Bonucci – with Chelsea ready to splash £100million on him and Alex Sandro.
Tuttosport claim the Blues are still willing to pay around £48m for Bonucci, whom Conte is eager to bring back under his fold. The pair have previous having worked together at Juventus.
The news that Barcelona has joined the chase for Leonardo Bonucci has been reported by Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
Leonardo Bonucci could be about to swap Juventus for a new club – but where is yet to be decided. Conte is desperate to nab Bonucci – and is even willing to throw in Nemanja Matic to secure the deal.
Meanwhile, the move for Bonucci will form near enough half of the £100m swoop for him and Sandro. Goal report that Chelsea will up their bid for the 26-year-old Brazilian from 55.
However, Juve want to keep their man and have reportedly offered him a contract until 2022.
