10 Things We Take For Granted - Duration: 9:45.

Elite Facts Presents

10 Things We Take for Granted

10.

-Electricity Let's be perfectly honest with ourselves.

Without electricity, we would be screwed!

We wouldn't know what to do with ourselves because we have became far too reliant on

this resource.

So reliant in fact that using electricity has become second nature to us and that we

don't even think about what life would be like without it.

The presence of electricity has been around for far longer than humans have roamed the

earth; in fact, the properties of electricity predate the earth itself, going back to the

inception of the universe.

That being said However, it is the ability to harness electricity for our own benefit

that is truly remarkable.

We have electricity to thank for the operation of our computers, our central heating systems

and even our alarm clocks….Well i'm not thanking electricity for my alarm clock because

i like sleep way more than being punctual but you get the idea.

The modern world is riddled with electrical grids and power lines seeking to distribute

functional electrical current to every nook and cranny of our households. Now to our great-great-great

grandparents, It would seem rather ludicrous that the whole planet is essentially connected

when in reality we have them to thank for laying the groundwork for this energy source.

9.

-Fine Motor Skills The one thing that sets ourselves apart from

primates is our finely tuned motor skills.

These motor skills are legitimately part of our daily lives and we don't even take notice

of it.

More than a handful of people here have suffered from a broken wrist or finger, and i can guarantee

you that almost everyone who has will tell you that it is extremely debilitating (especially

if you've incapacitated your dominant hand).

A broken hand would make everything from typing on the keyboard to making a simple cup of

tea much more of a difficult task to do.

To start, we should become aware of the importance of our opposable thumbs.

Humans share this feature with other primates meaning that we are all capable of using our

thumbs to touch any other digit on our hands, from index to pinky.

You're probably saying "So What?

Why is that so important" You may ask.

Well how about the fact that we have a thing called "The Precision Grip", Meaning that

our hands have the ability to perform fine/precise tasks such as gripping a pencil, typing on

a keyboard or even stirring a cup of coffee.

Imagine a world devoid of pencils and keyboards, or worse, a world abundant with pencils and

keyboards but humans being unable to use them.

It would be a scary world indeed.

8.

-Memory What time do i need to get up?

Where was that appointment scheduled?

Was Brendan Fraiser in Scrubs?

Most of you will not struggle to remember the answers to the aforementioned questions.

That is because you are able to successfully draw upon past occurrences from your memory

banks.

Memory is still seen as somewhat of an enigma and is thus, not yet fully understood.

The capabilities of the human mind and it's memory are incredibly diverse as they are

complex.

Minds can differ from some people having exceedingly powerful memories while other people are hindered

by neurological disability.

That being said however, No matter your position on the continuum of memory, there are still

ways to keep yourself sharp and primed to the best of your abilities.

As an example, Take a little bit of time out of your day to exercise you memory. It could

be something as simple as trying to remember the last conversation you had, or something

a little bit more ambitious such as trying to remember the order of all the James Bond

films.

7.

-Imagination So arguably a person's imagination is one

of the most powerful things at a person's disposal.

Without it, Humanity would be an incredibly dull and boring.

Without Imagination, we would not have any of the previously mentioned items on this

list such as language, mathematics or medicine just to name a few.

We would not possess the desire to test the limits of our cunning minds nor contain the

willpower to push the envelope of our physicality.

Imagination is the ability to take a vague, amorphous concept and transform it into a

tangible reality.

It is something we have in all of us, waiting eagerly to be used to its fullest.

6.

-Medicine Now just think back to the victorian era.

Times back then were brutal.

It was unhygenic and if you sustained any illness or injury, you were either most likely

going to lose a limb in the process or you were going to die due to how primitive medicine

was back in those days.

Now there's tons of different medicines you can take for just one type of illness.

Frequently people forget the implications it has on us and other organisms.

Veterinary medicine for instance, seeks to apply the medical knowledge procured throughout

history in order to treat animals.

Medicine has advanced by a large margin since the time of Hippocrates.

From the archaic belief of the four humors, to the discovery of the smallpox vaccine (and

even other future endeavors such as nano-technology), medicine has always been utilized for the

outward benefit of humanity.

5.

-Language Now the origin of language is a complete and

utter mystery as we don't know exactly where or even how the concept of language was even

conceived, Although most people agree that its earliest roots stem from ancient cave

drawings, as they are man's first attempt toward making a visual record of ideas and

to possibly even communicate with others.

Much like many other things in this world, language has taken countless steps to evolve

from the rudimentary grunts and cave drawings of antiquity into its present form.

Language has become ubiquitous within every corner of society in that we employ our verbiage

for one main reason, to communicate our ideas with others.

4.

-Bipedalism On average, humans begin who are roughly at

the age of One tend to start walking.

Our ability to learn how to walk exclusively on two legs, regardless of age, is quite an

amazing feat in and of itself when you truly think about it.

The very act of walking has allowed us to free up the use of our arms, and in turn,

permits us to wield a wide array of tools.

Bipedalism not only liberates our arms, but the remainder of our bodies as well.

Instead of having our heads positioned parallel to the ground like our quadrupedal relatives,

humans have eyes perpendicular to the world below, and thus, possess a broadened view

of the world around us.

It should be noted that Walking on two legs also consumes far less energy than walking

on all fours and because of this as a result, our minds aren't always drawn towards constant

nourishment, and are instead left to wander and think about things other than food.

3.

-Our Health Next time someone tells you to "Go and see

a doctor", Do it.

You can never be too safe when it comes to your own health.

Now sure the health system in america is a complete mess, However it's better to be

safe than sorry.

The reason you should never take your health for granted is because the second you find

out that you're sick in some way or form, You're gonna regret not getting check out.

We're not immortal beings so we shouldn't act like it.

If it's a common cold fair enough, however anything else that hinders your day to day

life physically should be taken seriously.

2.

-Nature Long gone are the days of our agrarian ancestors

who built their lives around the understanding of the intricacies of nature.

Civilization has traded in the tree ridden forests and jungles for concrete and industrial

jungles.

Most people have displaced themselves from the natural world in favor of a more urbanized

one.

Although the city life does contain many positive aspects such as your surroundings being a

lot more lively if you're into that sort of thing as well as the fact it is more social

by comparison.

For example, people in general have become increasingly desensitized toward the world

beyond their microcosms.

As pollution begins to perpetuate through our forests and oceans, entire ecosystems

could become ravaged and disfigured.

The best thing to do is to appreciate what is 'out there' and realize that we are

'a part' of nature, and not 'apart' from it.

1.

-Our Loved Ones When was the last time you spent quality time

with a loved one?

How often do you just take time out of your day to just spend time with those closest

to you?

What is it about love that makes us feel like the impossible is there for the taking?

That we might just get there in the end because we have those we love most by our side.

And whether it's your mother, your sibling or your beautiful partner, you should always

smile when you think of them.

They might drive you absolutely mad at times, but they still love you and you only get one

family.

Without love, after all, what is life comprised of?

You may have dreams of super stardom, and some may even have those dreams realized.

However as the old saying goes "Be careful of what you wish you as you may just get it"

or In other words, dreaming of what we think will make us happy can often have the reverse

effect.

It gives us everything we thought we wanted when all we needed was companionship and love.

Spend time with your family because they'll not be there forever.

Intestinal Worms Treatment ❤ Home Remedies for Intestinal Worms - Duration: 5:59.

intestinal worms treatment

,Home Remedies for Intestinal Worms

Intestinal worms are parasites in the gastrointestinal tract, primarily on the intestinal wall, that

affect people and other organisms.

There are different types of intestinal worms that affect people, but the most harmful are

roundworm, pinworm, whipworm and tapeworm.

Parasites enter the human body through contaminated food or water, transmitting agents like mosquitoes,

sexual contact and even via nose and skin.

Other common causes include poor hygiene, exposure to areas known to have parasites,

weak immune system and eating raw and undercooked meat.

Mostly, people living in tropical and sub-tropical regions suffer from intestinal worms.

But it can affect adults and children all over the world.

Depending on the type of intestinal worm, a person may experience different symptoms

like stomach pain, gas, dysentery, diarrhea, bad breath, constant feelings of hunger, restless

sleep, itching around the rectum, anemia, weakness, weight loss, frequent headaches,

fever, nausea, pain in the legs and nutritional disorders.

There are many over-the-counter and prescription medications for intestinal worms that you

may have to take for a few days or for several weeks, depending on the infestation.

There are many simple and easy natural treatments that may also be taken along with conventional

medications to get rid of intestinal worms.

1.

Coconut

Coconut is a very effective remedy for expelling all types of intestinal worms.

It acts as a very strong anti-parasitic agent.

Both the fruit and oil can be used to treat intestinal worms.

Eat one tablespoon of crushed coconut with your breakfast.

After three hours, drink one glass of warm milk with two tablespoons of castor oil mixed

in it.

Repeat this process daily until the infestation disappears.

Castor oil, though, is not recommended for individuals suffering from gastrointestinal

disease and children below five years of age.

Also, eat four to six tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil daily.

This oil is loaded with medium-chain triglycerides that help expel parasites from your body and

also boost the immune system to fight against them.

2.

Garlic

Garlic is a popular anti-parasitic food that can help deal with any type of intestinal

worms.

Raw garlic has sulfur-containing amino acids that are anti-parasitic in nature.

Plus, the antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic properties in garlic help kill microbes in

the body.

Eating three cloves of raw garlic on an empty stomach every day for one week is one of the

simplest ways to get rid of all types of intestinal worms.

Alternatively, you can boil two crushed garlic cloves in one-half cup of milk and drink it

on an empty stomach.

Do this for about a week.

3.

Unripe Papaya

Unripe papaya has been used widely in Ayurvedic medicine for many ailments, including intestinal

worms.

The latex from unripe papaya fruit is rich in the enzyme papain, which has anthelmintic

properties that can effectively destroy intestinal worms.

Plus, papaya seeds contain a substance called caricin that can help expel intestinal worms.

Mix one tablespoon each of fresh raw papaya juice and honey with three or four tablespoons

of hot water.

Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach.

After two hours, follow it with a glass of warm milk with two tablespoons of castor oil

mixed in it.

Follow the treatment for two to three days.

When using this remedy for children, reduce the dosage to half.

You can also grind papaya seeds into powder form.

Mix two teaspoons of this powder with one cup of warm milk or water.

Drink it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach for three days.

Alternatively, you can make a smoothie by grinding papaya seeds taken from an average-sized

papaya, adding to it one tablespoon of coconut oil, one cup of coconut milk and chunks of

papaya fruit (turning green to yellow), and blending again.

Finally, mix one tablespoon of honey and blend again until smooth.

Drink it daily in the morning at least for one week.

4.

Pumpkin Seeds

The University of Maryland Medical Center recommends the use of pumpkin seeds to get

rid of intestinal worms.

A compound called cucurbitacin in pumpkin seeds has anti-parasitic properties that can

paralyze the parasites.

This in turn prevents them from holding on to the intestine wall and they soon are eliminated

from the body.

Add two tablespoons of peeled and crushed pumpkin seeds to three cups of boiling water.

Let it steep for 30 minutes.

Allow it to cool, and then drink it.

Try to fast for a day and drink the juice of boiled dry prunes to help cleanse the intestines

before taking the pumpkin seed infusion.

Mix together one tablespoon of roasted and crushed pumpkin seeds with an equal amount

of honey.

Eat this mixture each morning on an empty stomach for a week.

Then include a laxative food like a banana or kiwi in your breakfast.

5.

Carom Seeds

Carom seeds can be used to treat intestinal worms.

The thymol content in carom seeds has the ability to inhibit the growth of undesired

parasites in the intestine.

According to Ayurveda, carom seeds and jaggery should be used together for the treatment

of intestinal worms.

Eat a small piece or about one tablespoon of jaggery in the morning on an empty stomach.

Wait for 15 to 20 minutes.

Then eat one-quarter to one-half teaspoon of crushed carom seeds along with a glass

of water.

Do this once daily for two weeks for complete treatment of intestinal worms.
