Monday Humor Fed Tired Of Waiting For Inflation Plans To Give Every Household $1 Million In Cash - Duration: 5:12.

Monday Humor Fed Tired Of Waiting For Inflation - Plans To Give Every Household $1 Million

In Cash

by Tyler Durden

DISCLAIMER: this essay was written in the spirit of April Fool's Day.

Authored by Charles Hugh-Smith via OfTwoMinds blog,

The basic idea is that giving each household, regardless of wealth or income, $1 million

each will spur consumption so mightily that inflation will skyrocket.

The Federal Reserve has been trying to boost the official inflation rate for eight long

years, and apparently patience with current policies is finally wearing thin.

Rumor has it that the Fed is readying a new "nuclear option": distributing $1 million

to each household in the U.S.

The Fed can create any sum of dollars it chooses with a few digital keystrokes.

An unidentified source at the Fed reported, "The handheld calculators at the Fed only

have 12 digits, so there's a bit of confusion about how much money we'll have to create

to give $1 million to all 100 million U.S. households.

The consensus answer is $100 trillion, but they're putting the numbers into the current

econometric models to verify this."

The basic idea is that giving each household, regardless of wealth or income, $1 million

each will spur consumption so mightily that inflation will skyrocket.

"What the Fed has wanted for eight long years is to generate an expectation of inflation,"

our source explained, "so that consumers will spend whatever cash or credit they have now,

knowing that it will buy less in the future."

Once people expect substantial inflation, they realize the best course of action is

to borrow as much money as possible now before interest rates rise--an inevitable consequence

of inflationary expectations.

They also realize it's best to buy whatever you can now before the price rises next month.

"The advocates of this program see asset prices leaping higher," the source said.

"Why would a seller of a house asking $500,000 before ther giveaway maintain an asking price

of $500,000? of course the price will immediately jump to $999,000."

Debt repayment becomes much easier with $1 million in cash.

The source iside the Fed noted, "Imagine how much money the federal government is about

to lose in student loan defaults.

With $1 million in cash to each household, naturally the government will deduct any student

loans, overdue taxes, penalties and so on up front.

The banks will love this and so will the federal, state and local governments."

Skeptics are uncertain that households will feel any motivation to pay off private debt

such as home mortgages.

If interest rates are set to jump higher, it makes sense to hold onto your 4% mortgage

rather than pay it off.

The Fed insider noted that advocates expect a tremendous surge in big-ticket consumer

durables such as RVs, muscle cars and vacation getaways.

"It will be a bonanza for every company selling whatever the middle class aspires to," the

source said.

Skeptics believe the money would be better spent on rebuilding America's crumbling infrastructure,

but the Fed source said that's already been factored in.

"Every level of government can reap a fortune with consumption taxes, user fees, transfer

taxes, sales taxes, you name it.

With a million bucks to blow, how many people are going to complain about higher sales taxes,

transfer taxes, registration fees, higher property taxes and all the other new revenue

streams?

Very few."

When asked about the potential of triggering Venezuela-like hyper-inflation that ends up

destroying the currency and the economy, the source demurred.

"The Fed is very confident it has the tools to manage inflation as well as it managed

the 2008 Global Financial Meltdown: whatever the problem may be, the solution is to create

more liquidity and credit."

So how are you going to spend/invest your $1 million?

5 Indicators To Show How The Ruling Elite's Agendas Are Dehumanizing The Masses - politics - Duration: 6:52.

5 Indicators To Show How The Ruling Elites Agendas Are Dehumanizing The Masses

In a world of ignorance, apathy, gross contradiction, cognitive dissonance and denial what will

it take for the masses to wake up?

Granted, they have been deceived, but living in zombie-like trances they lack responsibility

towards themselves and their fellow humans: Its therefore no surprise to see them buy

into the effronteries and blindly give their consent to the ruling elites agendas, not

knowing about the underlying hidden, dark and destructive ulterior motives.

A major effect of these agendas is that they are dehumanizing.

In light of this, here are 5 indicators to show how the ruling elites agendas are

covertly dehumanizing the masses on many levels for manipulation, and what needs to be done

to prevent the disastrous consequences.

1.

The transhumanism deception

A number of us know that the worlds ruling elite do nothing haphazardly.

For instance, watch out for certain frequently recurring news items in their owned and controlled

mainstream media, they could be tied into an agenda (predictive programming).

The transhumanism agenda is a classic example, having received much fanfare in the mainstream

media.

For instance, in a recent article, Google engineering director Ray Kurzweil, in so many

words, claims that a stronger, brighter and sexier human race will emerge before 2030.

Enhanced Homo sapiens Mk-2 will have had their brains fused with technology, belong in a

technological cybernetic society to become a singularity -Some of us cant help

thinking that this is something to greatly mistrust:

The transhumanism agenda is a deception because

Retrospectively, just about everything the ruling elite do only benefits a relative small

handful of individuals and transhumanism will be no exception.

Through the technology, the rest of the populace will be enslaved in a technological mind control

prison The more humans who incorporate themselves

with cybernetics or anything else making up transhumanism, the more they will lose their

powerful connection to spirituality and all those qualities related to unconditional love;

kindness, empathy, generosity, big-heartedness, concern Thus, humans will lose their true

power to stop the new world order and may even become extinct.

Transhumanism is greatly flawed.

Major tenets of transhumanism are based on false pretexts.

For example, it assumes that consciousness is only activity in our brains in its attempt

to preserve the brain and achieve immortality 2.

The artificial intelligence (AI) flaw

Following on, while it has made great science fiction, the idea of robots or computers becoming

intelligent sentient beings, having the ability to be emotional and creative will never happen

in the real world.

Everything a robot or computer does (or ever will) is only through a series of pre-programmed

responses in conjunction with its database, having no free will choice.

And thats it.

3.

The hive mind

Transhumanism and AI threaten to dehumanize us in the respects that it will take away

our individuality.

Instead of being free to express our natural unique creative and playful individuality,

we will be forced to become empty shells, as one with the hive mind.

When the control-obsessed technocrats try to force their depersonalizing hive mind ideology

it will cause many problems and humans are sure to revolt

4.

Vaccines

The vaccination agenda with its toxic onslaught of vaccines aimed at pregnant women and infants

serves to dehumanize us.

Essentially, it works on the principle that the overwhelming toxicity through vaccines

causes inflammation, contributing and leading to irreparable damage of certain brain structures

in the developing foetuses and/or infants.

Drugs are used to treat the inflammation in infants but the brain-damaging still persists.

The damaged structures comprises: 1.The pre-frontal cortex (front brain) involved in cognitive

(thought) processes, 2.the limbic system (hind brain) responsible for emotion and 3.the anterior

cingulate cortex, a structure acting as a relay station between the first two.

Normally these developing brain structures allow the child to expand on all those human

qualities associated with understanding, compassion and empathy But because they are damaged,

the child may never be able to express its humanity.

In short, if this is allowed to happen in increasing numbers then we may be seeing the

nation turning into psychopaths

Consultant Doctor Graham Downing has the detail on this.

5.

T.H.E.Y want you to be like them

T.H.E.Y (The Hierarchy Enslaving You) want you to be heartless empty shell psychopaths,

driven by self-interests and gratification in their hierarchical controlling pyramidal

power structures

T.H.E.Y want you to be the effect of their owned and controlled mainstream media, as,

for instance, through the soul-jarring music blasting out and TV or movies where people

are so horrible to each other

Fake mainstream media news, fake money, fake medicine, fake political democracies, fake

wars, etc. as if that wasnt enough, T.H.E.Y want you to willingly fit into their

archontic fake existence through transhumanism ultimately leading to your destruction,

as secretly planned

That concludes just 5 of the many indicators showing how the ruling elites agendas are

dehumanizing the masses.

Final thoughts, solutions: From dehumanizing to re-humanizing

Remember, the dehumanizing agendas can stop through our mass refusal to co-operate in

the knowledge of their disempowering and destructive ulterior motives.

Having that knowledge, which will you choose:

Will you do nothing with that knowledge; choose a life based on self-interest and self-gratification

which will never give you true satisfaction?

Or will you express your unconditional love by sharing that knowledge with others, acting

on humanitarian concerns?

Ask a Health Care Professional - Choosing the Right Place for the Right Health Care - Duration: 3:20.

[MUSIC STARTS] EUGENE SUN: Did you know that the choices

you make where you go to get healthcare can make a big difference in how much the care

costs, but with very little or no difference in the quality of care you receive?

Hi, I'm Eugene Sun, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield

of New Mexico.

One often has several options when deciding where to go for healthcare.

Let's explore some common situations and review some of the options available.

A very common situation is where someone in the family has a minor healthcare issue and

you are not quite sure what to do.

Perhaps a child has a fever of 100 degrees but no other symptoms.

Maybe you twisted an ankle and have a little pain and swelling but are otherwise able to

walk and get around normally.

In those types of situations accessing a 24 hour nurse call line might be very helpful.

When you access a 24 hour nurse line a registered nurse will ask you about the symptoms and

anything else that may be going on.

They are trained to understand the difference between mild and moderate illnesses or conditions

and when to suspect something more serious might be going on.

They can give advice ranging from simple first aid and home care that you can safely do yourself,

or when you should go to your doctor's office, an urgent care center, or even a hospital

emergency department for very serious, possibly life threatening conditions.

For preventative care services such as physical exams or sports physicals for children, the

most cost effective site is your primary care doctor's office.

Plan to schedule your appointment well in advance of when you need the physical.

Primary care doctors are often very busy and their schedule can be full for weeks.

You can get a physical exam in an urgent care setting and depending on your insurance coverage

that may not cost much more than going to your primary doctor.

You should never get a routine physical exam or sports physical at an emergency department.

You will definitely pay more out of pocket for the same care.

For winter colds or flu symptoms, fever, chills, sore throat, and runny nose, your primary

care doctor or an urgent care clinic are your best choices.

They can offer the basic diagnostic tests that might be needed, as well as prescribe

any necessary medications.

Going to an emergency room with these symptoms is not a good choice.

You will end up paying much more, possibly up to five to ten times more, out of your

pocket, for the same care.

For moderate injuries such as a twisted ankle where you are having severe pain and difficulty

walking, an urgent care clinic may be just right for you.

They usually have x-ray facilities on site and can determine whether you have a sprain

or a fracture.

They can apply splints, and sometimes casts, and refer you to the right specialist for

follow up.

For life threatening emergencies, severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, serious injuries,

and other critical conditions, a hospital emergency room will be the best option.

Depending on the situation, calling a nurse advice line or 911 will connect you with trained

professionals that can help you figure out what to do, and get help to you quickly.

It's important to understand all the options available to you to get the right healthcare

in the right setting, with the highest possible quality and the most affordable cost.

Make sure you understand your coverage and health situation, and here's to your health!

14 Masterful Ways to Fake a Mantel for the Holidays.

Missing a fireplace mantel?

You can still bring the charming look and feel of a holiday mantel into your home with

these faux fixes using furniture you already have.

Number 1: Play on a Piano.

Bring holiday style to the top of a piano with a mix of gifts, greenery and decor.

Pianos are similar in height to a mantel and provide enough depth to layer various elements.

Number 2: Musical Touches.

Incorporate music-related accents into your piano ensemble.

Here, a vintage owl metronome sits front and center for a charming touch.

Number 3: Sheet Music.

Put a new spin on old sheet music by using it as gift-wrapped accents.

Mixing the black and white sheets with colored or patterned wrapping paper strikes up the

perfect balance.

Number 4: Sculptural Shapes.

Add berries, greenery or branches to your vignette but keep the look simple by placing

them inside an opaque, sculptural vase.

Number 5: Marquee Letters.

Light up the space with marquee letters for a pop of pizazz.

For a clean, classic look stick with opaque white bulbs.

For a more playful vibe, swap clear or white bulbs for multi-colored ones.

Number 6: Dress Up a Desk.

Give your workspace a seasonal spin with a mix of gifts, pendants, ornaments and stockings.

Here, an antique secretary was transformed with fresh-cut roses, burlap and a pile of

wrapped presents.

Number 7: Woodsy Look.

Choose an overall look for the desk that will coordinate with the rest of your home's holiday

decor.

Here, a cozy cabin vibe was added with a mix of woolen plaid stockings, wooden tree sculptures,

and classic country accents.

Number 8: Stocking Hangers.

If your desk has drawer hardware, simply hang the stockings directly on the knobs or pulls

in place of traditional stocking hangers.

Number 9: Unexpected Floral Displays.

Add another layer of decoration to cut flowers or plants by placing arrangements inside of

sacks, totes or satchels.

Number 10: Winter-Styled Sideboard.

Change up your sideboard or buffet for the holidays by accessorizing the top with a mix

of textures, neutrals and metallics.

Hang stockings along the front with twine secured to the back.

Number 11: Neutrals and Textures.

To bring a classic and elegant touch to a dining space, dress the top of a sideboard

or buffet with neutral-toned items that also offer rich texture.

Neutrals will blend seamlessly with your year-round decor and can be changed up later on should

you decide to introduce color.

Number 12: Use of Multiples.

No matter how small or large the top surface of your buffet or sideboard consider using

multiples of similarly themed or shaped objects.

This will create a curated, collected look and keep groupings from appearing random.

Number 13: Touch of Life.

A bit of nature can instantly make a room feel more inviting to guests.

Soften up the look of your dining room by introducing simple greenery like baby's

breath, tree cuttings or even leaves.

Number 14: Statement Piece.

Help spark conversation among guests by incorporating a unique item into the mix.

This will help break the ice as guests are seated or begin to mingle for cocktails.

Done.

Pinterest Inspired EASTER Dessert Ideas - Duration: 9:19.

Hi guys and welcome back to Cake Journal. Today I'm bringing to you guys 4 Easter

recipes that are adorable and delicious.

Today's video is actually a collab video

with kelsbeautytips. She makes awesome

videos, I've been her friend on Youtube

for a few years now ever since I was

making my old videos, so we've collabed

before but now we're doing a collab with

this channel and her channel. She's also

bringing to you 4 different Easter

recipes, so you'll have 8 recipes to

choose from after you were done watching

my video and her video. I'll leave her

video and channel down below, definitely

check her out.

Alright guys so we're going to start off with our Cadbury egg

brownies, these were so good. We're going

to start off with 1 cup of sugar and

then we're going to add a stick of

butter, a teaspoon of vanilla, two eggs.

And then we're going to mix that all up.

I'm using my KitchenAid hand mixer.

When that is finished we're going to add our dry

ingredients to the brownie mix. So we're

adding our cocoa powder, our baking

powder, our salt and we're going to mix

that all up until it's creamy.

And it's looking like brownie mix and then we're

going to coat our pan with baking spray

and they're going to put our brownie

batter into the pan and spread it evenly

with our spatula.

We're going to bake that for 25 minutes at 350 degrees and

now we're going to start on the filling.

So we're going to take half a cup of

corn syrup, a stick of butter, a teaspoon

of vanilla and we're going to mix that

all up. This is basically going to be

kind of the inside of the Cadbury egg.

And we're going to add some powdered

sugar to that to make it thick.

Now we're going to transfer half of the filling

into a bowl and we're going to add food

dye to one of those bowls, so we're

adding yellow food coloring to the one

bowl and then we're going to mix that up

until it turns yellow and we're going to

spread the yellow layer on the finished

brownies. And take out the brownies, let

them cool for a little bit, and then put

this yellow layer on. We're going to

refrigerate that for 15 minutes.

So then we're going to add the white filling now

and spread that evenly just like the

yellow layer.

We're going to refrigerate that for

another 15 minutes and then we're going

to start on the homemade chocolate

frosting. We're actually going to use

this frosting for our chocolate cupcakes

that you'll see in a little bit so

that's why the recipe is a little bit

larger than normal. So basically we're

just going to take our cocoa powder and

flour and some evaporated milk and the

ingredients is listed right there, it's

also listed on our blog and we're just

going to make our chocolate frosting.

We're going to scoop out about half of that

frosting and microwave it for 30 seconds

to make it a little bit thinner and

easier to spread onto the brownies.

And that's the finished product you can

cut them up in squares and serve them at

room temperature. And now we're going to

start on with our carrot patch cupcakes.

We're going to start off with some

chocolate cupcakes, there's a link for

the recipe that we're using down below.

And we're going to cut a small hole in

the cupcake so we can fit the strawberry

in there, and I'm just using a sharp

paring knife, that worked the best.

We're taking some white chocolate and 2

teaspoons of coconut oil. We're going to

microwave that for a minute and add some

orange food coloring.

I'm just adding a little bit more orange food coloring

because they need it to be more orange

and I'm going to mix that all up and now

we're going to coat our strawberry in

the chocolate make sure you wash the

strawberries and dry them. You want to

make sure you dry them so the chocolate sticks.

Now we're going to take that frosting we

made for the brownies and frost our

cupcakes. And now we're taking some

crushed up oreos and putting that on top

and then putting the strawberry in and

that's it. It's pretty easy, pretty simple

and then we're going to just repeat that

until all the cupcakes look the same.

Now we're going to move on to the chocolate bird's nests.

So in a medium

saucepan we're gonna take our butter and

let that melt.

And then we're going to take around four cups of mini marshmallows.

We're going to stir that with our wooden

spoon and let it get a little bit thick and creamy.

And once that has melted down we're

going to add our chocolate and our

peanut butter to this mix. You'll know

when it's finished when it turns brown.

And once that's now we're going to add

four cups of chow mein noodles and these

are super awesome and this helps to

replicate the actual bird's nest look

because they look like branches and

sticks. They take on whatever flavor you

put them in. It tastes very chocolatey

and peanut buttery. So we're going to

stir that up until all of the chow mein

noodles are coated and then we're going

to form small nests. We're going to make

balls that are around two inches and then

you can make a little indent for the egg

and then immediately put three eggs in

the center of the nest. Make sure you do

it pretty quickly because the nest will

dry out. And we're just going to repeat

this until we have all of our bird's

nests finished.

And now we're going to start on our

flower pretzel bites. So we're going to

lay out our pretzels on our baking sheet.

Cut the tip of a Ziploc bag to make a

makeshift piping bag. So we're adding

melted chocolate into this piping bag, this

helps make the dots very precise and

clean. So we're going to make little dots

at the center of the pretzel with this

white chocolate and we're going to place

an M&M in the center and then 5 M&Ms

around it. So to make these look uniform

you want to have the M facing down so

you can't see it and use one color for

the center and then one color for the

outside petals. And we're just going to

repeat this step until we have our

completed flowers.

Here are our 4 easter desserts that we

ended up making. So I hope you guys

enjoyed watching this video, if you did

give it a thumbs up and if you liked all

these Easter treats leave down

below which one was your favorite.

Thank you again Kelsey for letting us

collab with you. Definitely check out her

video and channel. All of that will be down

below. Happy Easter and happy baking!

You have more to Sell than You Think - Duration: 6:08.

Hi! I'm Sharon Jurd and welcome to my Biz Blitz video.

Thanks for joining me today and I want to talk to you about your product.

You have more to sell than you think. I know this for sure because I see heaps and heaps and heaps of businesses

or business owners come to me talking about their products and I can always identify

and it's never failed me yet but I can always identify more ways that they can sell their products within their business.

So I want to talk to you about this today.

Firstly, the thing that I want to talk to you about is know the cost of your product.

A lot of people are selling a tangible product or even a service but don't know how much that costs to produce.

Because some people say, "Oh mine's a service", but there are still costs around producing that service.

If you've got for example online programs that you need to deliver your service, you might do them over an online video program.

That's a cost to delivering your service.

So make sure that you know how much it costs before you actually put a price

on what you're selling because what's happening in a lot of businesses is that they are selling the product for the incorrect price.

And I do a lot of work with my one-on-one coaching to make sure that they are priced correctly in their service and product.

Secondly, what will your customers pay? And there is this real fear with people that I talk to about holding their price. They go, "Oh people won't pay that."

Tell me why.

And I really challenge beliefs in people around what they are charging because the first default that they go to is,

"People won't pay that much."

Now I have seen businesses who take my advice and have gone and doubled their fees and have not lost any amount of work.

Now if you do double your fees you would expect to lose some but when you work out the differences of losing even ten percent of your business,

by doubling your fees, on the bottom line that is a huge increase to your income.

So don't be scared of losing a few people to gain better fees.

And you will actually attract better types of customers if they are paying more because what happens is they go,

"That sounds a little too cheap for me so it's probably not for me."

And a lot of people that I see who are struggling to sell a product sometimes have undervalued

themselves so much people think that it is a product or a service that is substandard.

So make sure you have that price according to what you are delivering because you go,

"I'm delivering this wonderful program and I'm only charging $97.

When people are looking for a wonderful program they are going to pay you more than $97, right?

So make sure you are in the right price range.

Thirdly, what other products can you sell your current customers?

People go out marketing for new customers and new customers but don't actually diversify

into some other products that you could sell to your current raving fans.

Those customers who come back time and time again don't wait for your sales, they are raving fans.

They come to you when you need them to buy off you, what other services can you offer?

Now you may have other services or products in your business but I can assure you right now your customers don't know all of the products you offer.

I hear it time and time and time again where business owners have their clients go elsewhere

for a product or service that you offer and they come back and say,

"I didn't know you did that."

That is the worst and I hear it time and time and time again in businesses.

So please make sure that your customers know every product or service you are offering.

And you'll be surprised the people who are closest to you don't know what you do.

So make sure you're telling them all the time.

Even if they don't want that product or service from you they may be talking to other people and go, "Oh that's right. Sharon

Sharon offers that service or product. I don't need it but now that you mentioned it, you need it so I'll refer you on."

So the three things I want to recap on today is one, know the cost of your product or service upfront before you start setting prices.

When you do set those prices make sure that you haven't undersold yourself or undervalued yourself.

Make sure that it is at the price point where people have the respect of what you are delivering to them.

And thirdly, what other products can you sell to the people you are already dealing with and make sure that either you sell them a product

or give them knowledge about your product or service that they can share with somebody else.

So there's my three tips today.

Making sure that you are getting the best out of your business is making sure that you're getting the best out of your products and services.

The Coolest Sport in the Desert: Playing Ice Hockey in Dubai - Duration: 2:36.

(upbeat synthesizer music)

- [Mike] A lot of people may think it's surprising

that somewhere such as Dubai

in the middle of the Middle East would offer hockey,

but people wanna come and play with us.

They're playing for the love of the game.

(techno music)

My name is Mike Freeson,

and the team I play on is the Dubai Mighty Camels.

To come to a place where you only can play indoors,

and even then it sometimes is too hot,

the air conditioning can't keep up,

it's quite a bit different than my experience back home,

that's for sure.

Grew up in rural Alberta, Canada,

so it was basically in your blood to play hockey.

Like every kid in Canada, we all dream to play pro someday,

and now in Dubai, I'm able to do that.

(horn blows)

(synthesizer music)

EHL stands for Emirates Hockey League, and it was created

just to get the best hockey players in the UAE

into a competitive league

to build and develop their local players.

(whistle blows)

We have six teams in the league this year.

We've had players that have played pro,

they've played high college level in the States,

high college level, university level, in Canada.

We have players that played pro in Europe.

All different levels.

(synthesizer music)

In Dubai, we don't have a local team of Emiratis,

but we play against the locals in Abu Dhabi and in Al Ain.

Playing in Dubai Mall exposes it to a lot more people.

It really brings more people to the game.

You know, when you're in Dubai Mall and you're playing

and you're surrounded by a thousand people,

who 60% of them probably have never seen it before,

it's a special feeling.

It's an honor to be able to do that.

Obviously, I think it's the best sport in the world.

It's great to see that you're making

some sort of contribution to expanding the sport

and promoting it in parts of the world

where it's not natural to be played.

Guitar Music Theory: What Is It Good For, Anyway? - Duration: 6:44.

Welcome to the YouTube channel of the School of Feedback guitar.

If you like guitar advice videos that show you how to learn guitar faster than most other

beginners, make sure to subscribe to this channel.

I will be releasing a ton of videos in the near and far future that are geared to help

you learn guitar in a super healthy and fast manner.

This video is all about guitar music theory, how confusing it is for beginners to guitar,

whether it's even possible to learn guitar and not learn music theory, and mostly: what

it's good for.

If I had to sum up my opinion on whether or not you need to learn guitar music theory,

I'd say this: You don't need to learn it to enjoy playing guitar, but you do need to learn

it in order to play specific genres of guitar.

Insisting that you must learn guitar music theory to enjoy every single style of guitar

is like saying you cannot enjoy painting unless you know everything about color theory before

you start.

Now, if you can imagine saying something like that to a bunch of kindergarten kids, that's not gonna go well!

Many guitar teachers will tell you straight-faced that you must learn guitar music theory in order to

play guitar.

To that, please consider that your enjoyment of guitar is separate from your current understanding

of guitar music theory.

Let me say this again: Your enjoyment of guitar... your enjoyment... your ability to enjoy the guitar, is completely separate from your ability to

understand music theory.

They are not dependent upon each other!

If you don't know any music theory, it doesn't affect your enjoyment of your favorite song.

If you don't know all the names of the band members, the songs, the albums, and the run

time for each song of your favorite band, it won't stop you from having fun at their concert.

You aren't required to know everything about guitar in order to enjoy playing guitar, to express

yourself on guitar.

If you don't believe me, understand that neither Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, or Paul McCartney

had ever learned a lick of music theory and still, these guys had a ball with guitar.

Now, I know that there are some guitar teachers who would cry foul at what I just said.

They would say that Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon, Paul McCartney, are exceptions, that none of us can

possibly measure up to them.

That may or may not be so, but I use them as examples because it proves that it is possible

to learn guitar without learning guitar music theory.

It is a complete and total fallacy that we cannot learn, enjoy, or otherwise play guitar

without knowing guitar music theory.

It's a total lie, and I beg you not to believe it!

Now, here's the catch: There are times when learning guitar music theory is super appropriate for what

you want to do on guitar.

For some genres of guitar, like jazz guitar for example, we need to know music theory

inside and out.

So, now we need to look at the most popular styles of genres of guitar and see if whether

or not learning guitar music theory will be beneficial for us, based on what kind of genre

we want to learn.

Let's hit it.

Acoustic Rhythm Guitar.

Most beginners to guitar are interested in learning the acoustic rhythm guitar style,

which is basically just strumming and learning to play chords.

You don't need to learn any guitar music theory to enjoy playing this style of guitar.

Electric Rhythm Guitar.

I think that if you only want to play Nirvana songs or just turn your amp up loud, you might

not get very much from learning theory.

Go for it if you want, but I'd honestly recommend for you to spend more time learning how to

play a lot of songs.

Fingerpicking Guitar.

For the most part, you won't have to learn about music theory but it wouldn't hurt.

Follow up on specific music theory terms if you're cuious, but otherwise, let it go.

Rock Lead Guitar.

Rock lead guitar can be positively affected by learning guitar music theory.

Specifically, I'd recommend that you learn to play guitar scales, and learn to understand

and decifer the Nashville number system.

That said, keep in mind that plenty of lead guitarists have gone without knowing much

about this stuff, like Jimi Hendrix for example.

Blues Lead Guitar.

You'll need to know pentatonic and blues guitar scales very well if you want to do blues guitar.

You'll definitely need to know the twelve bar blues form.

Otherwise, anything else is debatable if it's a waste of time Or not.

Jazz Guitar.

Yes, you will need to learn a lot of guitar music theory to play jazz guitar.

You can start by learning guitar music notation and guitar scales.

Classical Guitar.

Classical guitar relies on guitar music notation; You'll have to learn how to read music.

This one skill will lend itself naturally to harmonic analysis later on, especially

if you get more interested in performing classical guitar...

I hope this video provides more clarity about guitar music theory.

Just remember my opinion on this: It's not required for you to learn music theory if your goal is to simply

enjoy playing acoustic rhythm guitar, but if you're looking to play blues, jazz, or

classical guitar, you'll be positively affected by learning it.

In the next video, I'm gonna go over learning to read guitar music and what it is good for.

If you've ever thought that you needed to learn to read music in order to learn guitar,

the next video is for you.

So please, don't forget to subscribe to this channel if you dig the content.

Also, please leave a comment and a like.

It'd be really really great to hear from you!

Bye for now...

Get rid of door-to-door salespeople once and for all | Life Hacks for the Suburbs - Duration: 2:03.

(doorbell rings)

- [Narrator] Suburban neighborhoods

are a common target for door to door sales people,

whether it's water filters,

bogus heating and cooling inspections,

or that seemingly normal guy

who sells meat from his truck,

they can all add up to a serious nuisance.

Don't fret.

Life hacks for the suburbs has you covered

with this easy solution.

- Here's what you'll need.

An extra-large sandwich bag,

packing tape,

and some bulk parsley.

- [Narrator] Fill the sandwich bag with parsley

and tape it shut

while forming it into a brick shape.

(doorbell ringing)

When a salesman comes calling,

open the door

and shove the package into his or her hands saying,

"It took you long enough.

"Now just give me my money and get lost."

The sales person might reply, "What the, what, oh god?"

Then gaze over their shoulder and exclaim,

"Oh crap, they're watching."

And quickly close the door.

- Hi, I'd like to report a drug dealer on our street.

Yeah, he's dressed like a water heater salesman.

Great, thanks.

He won't be back.
