Hunter Street | Max & Tess Recap All the Mysterious Clues | Nick - Duration: 3:02.

Hey guys, MaeMae and Stony here from nickelodeon's Hunter

Street.

So much is going down in the first three weeks of the show.

You know the hunter parents, Erik and Kate,

disappeared, then escaped, but still aren't home.

And we decided to make this little board

to help you out and take you through all the clues.

And catch you up on all things hunters do.

You ready?

First, the hidden picture behind the picture.

What's that?

No idea.

A photo with saga written on it?

What could it mean?

The next clue was these opera tickets where

Kate wrote saganash on them.

Oh, and now my favorite part.

The kids find a secret room hidden in the hunter house.

Wow.

In the hidden library the hunters

find a picture of the Saganash's and it

matches the picture found in the first clue.

Then there's this guy Rinus enters the picture when

the hunters find this letter.

First they think he's kind of bad

but he turns out to be good.

So this next clue is a good one.

The kids find a telegraph machine

and get a secret message.

Hunters, are you receiving?

Need your help.

Lot of clues in the first week.

But just wait, there's way more.

Shall we keep going?

Check out this baby.

A rare diamond treasure of the hunter family.

And what turns out to be Josephine's one true love.

You guys remember the Saganash guy right?

Turns out he really wants the diamond.

If you want to see your parents again,

you'll give me the diamond.

Then that handy telegraph machine came back into play

again.

Kate and Erik left a message telling the kids

not to give away the diamond.

Do not give away the diamond.

So the kids had to investigate and it

took them to this antique store where

they met this guy the Magpie.

Someone who could make fake diamonds to fool Saganash.

Yeah, that seemed like a good move

but Saganash found out it was fake.

And boy, was he mad.

No more fakes.

But he did give them proof that their parents were OK.

It's today's paper.

Then comes the real diamond of a clue.

The parents are calling.

And that's how the second week ends.

Cliffhanger.

But as soon as week three starts,

we find out Erik and Kate escaped.

Saganash kidnapped us, but we escaped.

So it's not safe for them to come home.

But the hunter kids find this card.

And that leads the kids to this woman,

Gertrude, who's part of an organization

called The Relatives.

Turns out she has a blue diamond and there's

still a missing red diamond.

Naturally the kids need to learn

more about the red diamond.

So they find this old letter in the hunter street museum

with a secret message.

Anybody know how to read 1600s chicken scratch?

And that leads them to the Maritime Museum.

It turns out what they were looking for was

in their house all along.

And this map leads them to all sorts of hidden

tunnels in their house.

Who wants to go first?

They find coordinates to where they think the red diamond may

have disappeared.

Talk about a lot of clues.

Seriously.

Do you think we found them all?

There's one more week of Hunter Street left.

So be sure to watch Hunter Street every weeknight at 7:00.

And catch up at nick dotcom slash hunter street.

Consumer Groups: Consumer Lawyers Are Now Targeted For Prosecution - Duration: 4:42.

We've all heard the worn-out jokes about lawyers coming from comedians and politicians,

and even our friends.

They refer to lawyers as opportunistic ambulance chasers who are only out to make a quick buck

off of someone else's suffering.

These comments aren't as innocuous as you might think.

In fact, they're focused and developed as a highly financed, well-coordinated, decades-long

smear campaign carried out by business interest groups like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and

the world's biggest insurance corporations.

In 1971, Lewis Powell, before he became a justice on the United States Supreme Court,

sent a memo to business and political leaders, where he outlined what he believed were the

challenges facing the business community, coming from a group that he referred to as

the New Leftists.

During Powell's entire career, as a matter of fact, as a lawyer and as a judge, he was

a loyal, loyal servant to a system where the interest of corporations was always superior

to the interest of consumers who were victimized by those corporations.

In this memo, Powell suggested that business groups, specifically the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,

needed to come forward with direct campaigns in the media and by lobbying politicians to

paint anti-corporatist groups like trial lawyers and consumer groups as enemies of democracy

who are only out to serve themselves.

By the 1980s, the campaign was well underway, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the insurance

industry was leading the charge to discredit and dehumanize and vilify trial lawyers

because they were the only ones holding corporations accountable when they killed or crippled American

consumers with defective products.

Sadly, the public was willing to buy into those lies.

The Chamber of Commerce created a new department that they called the Institute for Legal Reform.

This group was created to be the attack dog of big business and Republicans.

Their only job was to go after trial lawyers for two reasons.

The first reason was because businesses didn't want to pay for their crimes.

The second is because, at the time, trial lawyers were the largest donor group for the

Democratic Party, a trend that's only ended once Citizens United allowed Wall Street bankers

to buy the loyalty of the Democrats.

Once the Chamber and their allies in the political world smeared the image of trial lawyers as

a whole, they began to target specific attorneys and law firms.

In a report issued by the Institute for Legal Reform in October of 2013, the group specifically

listed law firms and individual lawyers who they believed posed the biggest threats to

the profits, the profits of big business.

The attacks from corporate interest groups and politicians took a sinister turn.

In the last few years, they've provided just a small glimpse of what corporations

really want to accomplish, and that is putting consumer trial lawyers behind bars.

That leaves government regulatory agencies as dysfunctional

as the FDA, as dysfunctional as the SEC and the EPA, to keep their eye on corporations

and try to keep corporations honest.

Then, of course, there's America's corporate media that today is fully owned and operated

by huge corporate advertisers who threaten to pull billions of dollars in advertising

from ABC and CBS and NBC if those corporate media types go too far in protecting consumers

against corrupt corporations.

Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy Paul Wheelhouse - Duration: 1:02.

Hello I'm Paul Wheelhouse the Minister

for Business, Innovation and Energy at

the Scottish Government. The Scottish

energy system is changing and we are

changing the way in which we use energy

in Scotland. Indeed the choices we

make about the energy that we use in the

future and how we produce it are amongst

the most important choices we can make

as a society because the safe reliable

and affordable supply of energy is

crucial to underpinning the growth of

the Scottish economy and providing the

services we all take for granted in

society. We can be very proud of the role

we've played in Scotland. At the forefront

of the oil and gas industry and

increasingly in renewable and low-carbon

energy sources that we are determining

today. You can play a really important

role in helping us shape the future

energy system in Scotland and how we use

energy by contributing to the Scottish

Government's consultation on our draft

Energy Strategy which runs until the end

of May. We would really love it if you could

take part in that consultation, feed in

your thoughts and help steer and shape

the future energy system for Scotland to

2050 where we want to have a

low-carbon and sustainable energy system

for all.

Care Giving For Our Young and Old - Duration: 20:11.

Whether your charitable goals move you

to travel abroad or just around the

corner from your own home.

When you open

your heart and give back to the community, there's always a

place where people will welcome you with

open arms.

Get ready to meet some giving warriors.

(music) Hello I'm Adrienne Paul.

Welcome to Live Life Forward.

From corporations to

individuals with grassroots efforts more

of us are donating our time money or

other resources all for the better good

and that's good news.

Let's hope we can

inspire you today to find a way to help.

We're starting the show with a casino

and hospitality leader that's investing

in communities across the country.

With a close eye on our aging

population.

Smart move?

You bet.

Our special correspondent

Megan Telles is in Las Vegas with the

story of how Caesars Entertainment is

helping others to Live Life Forward.

There's no debate Caesars Entertainment

has an impressive portfolio with Las

Vegas as its base that operates 50 hotel

and/or casino properties in 13 U.S. states

and six countries.

The names are familiar

Caesars Palace, Flamingo, Harrah' s, just to

name a few the list of properties

seemingly goes on and on.

We're talking

nearly 70,000 employees worldwide.

But away from the glitz and glamour

and the allure of slot machines table

games and entertainment, the company goes

all in with its corporate

responsibility efforts under the umbrella of

the Caesars Foundation.

The private foundation funded by resorts

owned or operated by the Caesars group,

focuses on the aging population.

Its mission to help

older individuals live longer, healthier,

more fulfilling lives.

Jan Jones

Blackhurst is a longtime political and

business leader who was also one of the

most popular mayor's in Las Vegas

history.

She's a huge advocate for

important social issues especially those

impacting our aging population.

Today in her role with Caesars

Entertainment she's also a major force behind

the company's moved towards

connecting with the communities in which they

operate.

So why has Caesars Entertainment decided

to make our aging population priority

for its philanthropic goals?

Some people really don't realize that over

fifteen percent of our entire population

is 75 and older and that number is

expected to double by 2060 because people

are living longer.

One report says the number of

Americans ages 65 and older is projected

to more than double from 46 million

today to over 98 million by 2060 and Jan Jones Blackhurst

says that creates even

more of an urgent need to help our aging

population.

Often our seniors are

forgotten group and we saw an opportunity where we could put

together programs that energize their

lives, enrich their lives, extend their

lives and make their lives more

fulfilling and it was an opportunity we just

didn't want to pass up.

Casting a wide net since

2002 the Caesars foundation has donated

more than 70 million dollars to local

nonprofits in the communities or they

operate.

The organization does this with

the help of many of its 58,000 employees

in those communities who participate in

a company-wide citizenship strategy

called, Hero Program.

Over forty percent

of employees participate in those

programs each year, with the goal of

strengthening the social, economic,

educational and cultural life of these

communities.

Along with promoting a more

sustainable world.

The hero initiative

very important.

It's because Ceasers Entertainment

it's wonderful that we can

give money and resource but we believe a

really important part of the community

engagement and employee engagement is

getting our employees involved in giving

back it's part of our code of commitment.

That we believe that we have an obligation to our communities,

to our employees, to our customers and

to the environment, to give back to do

good things.

This spirit of philanthropy is

embedded in our culture.

Perhaps the biggest benefactor of Caesars

spirit of philanthropy is Meals on Wheels

America.

The Caesars Foundation is one of the

largest corporate sponsors of that

organization.

Meals on Wheels delivers

meals to seniors who are either housebound, maybe have no other

opportunity to get out of their home so

having the opportunity to support Meals

on Wheels we purchased over 59 vans to

make sure that under our control no

senior have to go hungry.

How much

monetarily has Caesars Foundation

provided for Meals on Wheels?

Over 5 million dollars.

We'd see it as an

opportunity that never ends.

And Meals on Wheels America President and CEO

Ellie Hollander can't give enough

praise for the Caesars Foundation.

it's a wonderful

partnership I think what makes it

special is that we share similar missions.

Caesars Foundation is really

committed to focusing on ending senior

hunger and isolation throughout America

that's exactly what meals on wheels

America is about too.

We have two

organizations that are catering if you

will, I put in quotes to an older

population an aging population and we

also understand the power of volunteerism.

And along with challenges

of living longer, economic and food

security and housing come specialized

health care issues.

Such as caring for

the aging brain.

More than 5 million

Americans are living with Alzheimer's by

2050 the number of people ages 65 and

older with Alzheimer's disease may

nearly tripled.

And that is one of the

main reasons why Caesars has made the

aging brain a big priority.

Donating four hundred thousand dollars to

launch the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo

Center for Brain health right here in Las

Vegas.

Caesars is underwriting the healthy

brain initiative.

What people forget is

that because of science our bodies are

out living our brains.

So finding what

you can do with nutrition, with engagement, with exercise with

exercising your mind to make sure that your

brain lives as long as your body is

probably one of the most important things

that we can educate seniors about today.

The Lou Ruvo Center for Brain health has

identified 6 pillars for brain health and

the center has built a website and an app

where you can test your lifestyle choices

to see if their brain healthy.

It also provides

tips on how you can improve your health.

You know this collaboration with Caesars

has been so fantastic for us we're using

it all through not only the Caesars

organization but also the Cleveland

Clinic organization.

We believe that

there is a very substantial chance of

slowing the progression of Alzheimer's

disease with these same maneuvers that

avoid Alzheimer's disease or at least

reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease

in a healthy population.

We believe

whether its Second Wind Range, Meals on

Wheels, Lou Ruvo, we make partnerships

that go far into the future.

We're not a one in and out, we're a

committed partner and we're going to stay with you

as you look for ways to improve the

life of seniors and do good things in

all of the communities we serve.

And to learn more

on Caesars philanthropic mission visit

CaesarsFoundation.com Thanks Megan.

Good job Caesars Entertainment and

the Caesars Foundation.

developmental needs of children.

Seattle Children's Research

Institute, conducting pioneering research to improve the lives of

children everywhere.

(Music) You can start giving back at any

age.

For one teenager, his father's

personal battle moved him to want to

change the world for others.

So time now for Allstate's They Say Project

meet Griffen.

They say that we are problems to be

solved.

But I say, we are problem solvers.

My name is Griffen Saul and I am the

founder of We Are Able.

Even before I was

born, my father was diagnosed of advanced

Multiple Sclerosis and I had to watch

this disease strip everything away from

him.

His ability to walk, his motor skills.

A strong relationship with his children

and most importantly his independence.

This disease had such a

traumatic impact on my life and my

family's life that I decided to do

something about it.

Through my nonprofit

I've started called We Are Able, which

works to empower youth with disabilities

and their families to better improve the

quality of their lives.

How does that

campaign is an initiative, where students

from around Chicago, took the pledge to

understand what it was like to have a

physical disability.

You might experience

in the volunteering I would be taken

away three lessons, that are crucial if

you want to make a difference.

One: Find people to support you.

Nobody can make a

change on their own.

Lesson two: Find your

passion.

We all have things that we care

about.

Use that and channel it into

meaningful change.

The final lesson: Is be

the change you want to see in the world.

We are all able to make a difference in

the world.

As you can see today I dealt

with a physical impairment kind of

understand what it's like to not have the use of

my left arm.

Behind me is a We Are Able

banner where hundreds of students took

the pledge the understand one was like

that to learn disability etiquette.

This banner is proof that students

and youth are civicly engaged and want to

make a change in the world.

We are all able to

take a stand for what we believe is

right.

We are all able to define our

faits and we are all able to be the

change we want to see in the road.

(Music) Welcome back.

With so many in need, you

may feel overwhelmed on trying to decide

how you can help.

Over the years I spoke

with hundreds of people across the

country on Peace Found radio.

My radio

show and what I found is that it all

starts with passion.

Passion to make a

change.

Now Project Change is an

organization that can help you decide

how aware to begin your journey of giving.

(Children singing) Music and learning are

now a daily part of the lives of these

children.

Enjoying their new school in a

village in Uganda in central Africa.

The villagers actually helped build

the school also called classrooms

one brick at a time.

Of course along with its

funder Project Change, that's a florida-based grassroots

not-for-profit organization.

It's dedicated to women and

children who are victims of war and

physical and sexual abuse.

In America and

I would say the Western world we love

with the idea that education is a right.

But in Africa and areas that we work,

education is a privilege and it really

is for those who can afford it and are

born into wealth.

Project Change builds

schools for elementary children, trade

schools for women and orphanages which

are decidedly called homes.

Often times we refer to you know our children

as orphans living in an orphanage

and we want our kids to be proud of

where they live.

So what we've decided to do is

state the word orphanage out of the

facilities that we build.

So it's no

longer smart Africa orphanage but it's

smart Africa Children's Home.

They are no longer orphans they are

part of a program and they're part of our

family and you know they shouldn't feel

like they are alone in this world.

And thanks to Project Change many of them

are not alone.

During the day this building

schools 200 children, at night it houses

52 children.

When you go to these villages and you speak to

the parents and you see that they

have absolutely nothing and when I

say nothing, there is nothing.

But they beg

you to teach their children.

Because they know education is the key.

It will in

fact, you know, unlock a future for them.

So why poor villages of Africa to lauch

Project Change.?

The idea was planted in

Cheryl's heart.

As a troubled young girl

in the 80s, growing up in apartheid-era

South Africa.

I look back and I think

myself I can't believe I'm alive.

So when I was six, my mom was

married to a very abusive guy.

Her stepfather was a

police officer and Cheryl the oldest of

seven children, says when things turned

rough within the home.

She would grab her

siblings and take off.

I would put my

siblings in the you know in the stroller

and we would run and literally run from

one house to the next house and I would

knock on the door.

And just we crying

hysterical and people wouldn't open the

door because they were fearful of this

guy.

The people that helped us were the

domestic workers that live in the back

of the yards.

Those were the black people

that were working for different families.

They would hide us in a little shack and

you could hear him coming down the

street screaming looking for us.

Cheryl says those workers saved her and

her siblings lives.

And I said, I'm going to

help, I'm going to make a difference and

not thinking weighing the costs and the

fear and just knowing that this is what

they need to do at that very moment in

time.

Their bravery and generosity stuck

with Cheryl.

Eventually she and her

siblings ended up living for several

years in an orphanage and group home for

white children only.

It was a very

conflicting time to walk out of the

orphanage and you would see children

living on the street and they were black.

And I would stop and I will talk to them

and I would bring them food and I always

found it like so poor maintaining that

how is it that just because of a pigment

color that I have a better lives than what

they do?

Years later, Cheryl now an attorney in

the U.S., launched Project Change.

The fairly new organization raised

nearly a hundred and eighty-five thousand

dollars in its first year.

Ann Reinstein, Vice

President of the organization and a

private tax accountant usually travels

to Africa with Cheryl.

Witnessing the needs firsthand.

It's very important to

see this stuff face to face and be there

to understand what it is that we're

doing before everything was over, over

the internet, social media, pictures,

videos conversations, but it's a lot

different when you're actually there and

you get to see the stuff first hand and

the children that you're helping.

The truth of the matter is, when you

get there the needs are endless.

Every place you turn there's something else

that's needed, an extra bed, an extra

mattress.

Certainly things that we do not even

know that we're needed, because they

don't consider it a priority.

There are many ways one can help.

For example you

can have a desk built in your honor or

donate books, paper or pencil.

Donate a bed or two.

Linen clothing or perhaps you

want to build a playground and of course

financial resources are always welcomed.

The wish list is seemingly endless.

We have different projects because

not every project is something that

everyone is interested in.

Finding your place in the

charitable world and starting your own

journey of giving may seem overwhelming

but Cheryl says, it's simple.

Know your passions and decide where you

can best fit in.

My philosophy is there's

something for everyone you know one shoe

doesn't fit everyone.

Which means that

some, they may not have the time to

invest the time but they have the

financial resources.

Other people don't

have the financial resources but they

can do the advocating.

The ultimate goal

for all projects is self-sustainability.

We have to purchase land.

We have to build

farms right now, we have a chicken farm

with 500 chickens.

We have our pig farm

with seven pigs but the chickens provide

two sources of of Health to the school.

One is nutrition and the other is income

through the selling of the of the eggs

are produced by these chickens.

And we will soon have a vegetable farm

as well.

So there will be another source

of nutrition and income for the for the

schools.

The children simply draw you in.

You realize that there's only one person

that will believe in them just one

person that will say I see in you

something so special, they hold on to

that you know they hold on to that hope

and they believe it.

You don't need a lot

of people.

You need one person and the

truth is we could all be one person to

one person.

(Children Singing)

[Music] So that's about all...

Come on guys, we got time for one more?

Sure!

Cool, cool, look I want to bring

you one more Allstate's They Say Project.

Meet Leo.

My name is Leo Sarabia and they

say kids don't like coming to school but

I say that if you're on the Urban

Initiative Team you'll want to come to

school every day.

You'll want to come to

school every day.

Check it out.

Oh you're too little, you

can't do this, or you don't know about

that yet.

Kids can make a difference

because they are just like you just

because the younger, doesn't matter

because anybody can learn anything at

any age it doesn't matter who you are or

what you look like.

If you're making the

difference that's great.

You don't know

my full potential so you shouldn't

second-guess yourself about people

because you might not know what they're

going through and you might not know

what they do in life to change things.

I would like to change that by

trying to tell other kids and other adults

that we can make a change and we can

make a difference in our world.

Stop by our website and share your

story of change and please follow me at

the Peace Fund or Peace Fund radio where

every week you can hear more stories

when those are spearheading the issues

affecting our kids.

And until next time.
