Waching daily Jan 5 2017

I know that there is a lot of sexual harassment, racism and so on in our lives and I don't

doubt that the majority of people who promote political correctness mean it sincerely.

I'm not saying that.

I'm not saying in the way of right wing paranoia that they are evil people who want to destroy

American way of life, I'm just saying this that the way they approach the problem is

that instead of resolving it the predominant effect is just to keep it under check and

allowing the true problem, racism, sexism, to survive in a more covered up version and

so on and so on.

For example, I always like this extreme example.

Let's take racist jokes.

Yes they function in a racist way, but for me the true overcoming of racism is not that

you prohibit racist jokes, but that you establish a social, not even only social change, new

society, but even such a change of atmosphere that you can tell exactly the same jokes without

appearing a racist.

When you are simply in a true relationship of equality, respect and so on, sometimes

dirty jokes, even gently racist jokes done in a non-racist way, by this I mean that you

including yourself and you make fun of yourself and so on, they're incredible.

I think your American term is icebreakers.

Because it's easy to be a non-racist in this political correct way oh I respect your food,

your national identities, no.

When does it happen real contact with another?

I claim it's very difficult to arrive at it without a small exchange of an obscenity.

It works in a wonderful way.

So I claim for me and ideal post racist situation is let's say I am an Indian and you are an

African American.

We are telling all the time dirty jokes to each other about each other about ourselves,

but in such a way that we just laugh and the more we are telling them the more we are friends.

Why?

Because in this way we really resolved the tension of racism.

What I'm afraid, now coming back to your question, with political correctness is that it's a

desperate reaction.

They know they cannot solve the real problem so they escaped into controlling how we speak

about it.

And by real problem I don't to mean in a primitive way just economic redistribution and so on,

but even the symbolic fact of actual social relationship and so on.

You know what should political correct people learn, British customs.

Why?

Because British and Japanese, different countries, but they are two of the countries which are

mega masters in how to reproduce all the brutality of domination, despising the other but without

being offensive with an utmost nice speech elegance and so on.

You know that's the miracle of truly successful racism that you reproduce all the prejudices

but with a very soft point apparently respecting the other and so on and so on.

So again, what also bothers me with political correctness or distolerance of the other is

that tolerance is a false notion today.

I always like this example: I always tell my students when they claim if you are against

tolerance what are you for brutal racism?

No.

I tell them okay there is one guy who did quite a lot against racism, Martin Luther

King.

Look at his speeches.

He never even mentions the word tolerance.

I checked it up you can download his speech.

If you were to tell him that we white people need to be more tolerant towards the black

people he would have laughed probably.

So this is a very suspicious idea that this translation of domination of racism and so

on into terms of tolerance.

No, tolerance is a very ambiguous term.

Quite often tolerance can even work as it's own opposite in want sense?

Look, if you take a typical upper middle-class American, I would like to put him on her,

I saw them, together with a real low class African-American or white guy, I can guarantee

you they would be horrified with all the dirty jokes will get at this and so on.

And for them they would have been very intolerant towards him.

So for me there is always intolerance, something off.

Let's keep it disturbs me.

At the proper distance don't allow them to come to close to me.

Tolerance often means intolerance for the actual other.

They accept the other, in it is the purified other.

Like, for example, for politically correct people Native Americans, whatever you call

them, I don't want to call them that.

You know my old joke, which is true.

I met some Native American so-called university people who told me they hated they're Native

Americans.

Why?

Because it has this uncanny settle nature culture, we are native and what are you then?

Cultural Americans or what.

They told me we much prefer to be called Indians; at least our name is a monument to white man's

stupidity who thought they are in India when they are here.

So I love this.

They are so fanatically suspicious about this false patronizing appraisal of the white liberals.

Like you know, we usually say we brutally exploit nature, mining and so on, but Native

Americans do it differently.

They talk to mountains; they have this more organic dialogic approach and so on and so

on.

They shaped this so much.

One of them even so brutally told me I love this.

This is true.

He gave me, I forgot his name I'm very sorry, a short text he wrote where he demonstrates

through statistics, I don't know if it's true, let's say he tries to demonstrate that Native

Americans, so-called Indians, killed more buffaloes and burned more forests than all

white people together.

What was his point?

His point was precisely don't idealize us.

You are patronizing us by making this politically correct pure people who are holistic blah,

blah, blah.

No.

Please we can also be evil; we can also be horrible and so on and so on.

You see it's the same problem with refugees in Europe, intelligent Native Americans are

terribly sensitive against the oppressive other side of this politically correct way

of Native Americans have some ancient wisdom holistic approach and so on and so on.

I mean that's why, and I'm sorry if I repeat an old story of mine, but that's why I sincerely

admire Malcolm X.

You know why?

What does it mean X?

It means, of course, we don't have family name.

We black slaves were torn out deprived of our roots and like family links and so on

when they were kidnapped from Africa and so on.

But what's his genius?

His way is not the way of that stupid Hollywood best seller Alex Haley who wrote Roots.

Let's find our roots.

No, his idea is what is this X?

It means we have no roots; we are deprived of roots.

What if this gives us a new freedom to establish a new more universal community than that of

white people?

It's an ingenious idea of seeing what appears and each terrible trauma being deprived of

your roots you have no proper tradition, family tradition and so on is a new chance of freedom.

SQUASH SOUP RECIPE | Fat Boy Slimming #2 - Duration: 4:04.

Hello everyone it is barry here welcome to my virgin kitchen hope you are well, first

of all thanks to everyone that is getting involved in the fat boy slimming challenge

I have loved seeing all your pictures and videos so far, and today is another stonking

recipe this is a roasted butternut squash and carrot soup it is so good, oh do you want

me to tell you how to make it?

I think I shall, does that make sense.

So as always the full steps and method are on the website myvirginkitchen.com do not

know what that was, the first thing you need to do is get yourself a butternut squash,

you nip off the bottom and top, give it a little shave, slice it up, then scoop out

the middle bit with the seeds, which you could roast, I will come on to that in just a bit,

then just cut it up into nice chunks you also chop off the bottoms of your carrots, give

them a peel, and chop those into chunks too and with those, that nice orange coloured

festival dump them into a nice deep roasting tray, when roasting it is important to make

sure they are not on top of eachother but you just want to pour a little olive oil on

top, plus some ground cumin and smoked paprika I love paprika, you guys know that, this is

amazing for that, when I did add that squash in there was a random seed there that I spotted

so if you do want to roast those they actually make a really funky garnish that is optional,

give it a nice big mix to coat the oil on there which will help it char it is all about

caramelising it up because the more we caramelise that , the more sweetness and flavour we drive

into our soup so get that all nice and coated the oil and spices on there, shove it in the

oven to roast for about 35 minutes, for this recipe you are also going to need 2 large

onions that have been sliced ginger and garlic that has been minced, now I used some gadgets

for that they did not appear like that check that out my old slapping tool very cool indeed

which worked really well on the ginger too.

Get yourself a large saucepan which is going to be the hub to make our soup drop in a little

oil and dump in those chopped onions you are going to cook them up, really char them for

a good ten minutes until they start to caramelise and you get that smell of cooked fried onion

you know when you go to a fair and you are not hungry but smell onions that kind of thing.

For the last 2 minutes also chuck in the ginger and the garlic and coriander just stir that

through it will cook up smell gorgeous and wilt the coriander, let it all cook away then

pour in a litre of vegetable stock pour that in and let simmer for 15 minutes.

For the next step you are going to need two pugs, just kidding I think they were a bit

freaked out I was genuinely going to cook them, hot dog recipe another time.

With the roasted squash and carrots looking gorgeous and out of the oven and that saucepan

slightly cooled add those carrots and squash into the saucepan so now we blend it up, either

super thin (souper wahey just a joke for you people with captions on) or leave it a

little chunky reserve some then add it in towards the end but I went nice and smooth

to really blend it up, keep going until you have a nice smooth consistent soup.

You can now season it to your liking bit of salt and pepper, whatever you want but I like

to leave that to the end (Serving time).

That is it to make this gorgeous soup serve it in a bowl pour it in there, I actually

transferred it to a jug to make that easier dollop in some crme fraiche, extra coriander

on top then I gave it a real good season of pepper and salt but it is completely up to

you and I loved the taste of it.

That is so good now if you want you could pimp it up caramelise up some bacon stick

it on top of it, but that is gorgeous on its own, ooosh.

So there we are then folks nice, alright mate you ok?

Do not worry I am not going to cook you or amy, she is proper chilling out right there,

really healthy soup for you to try, caramelise up the squash the carrots and the onions it

makes a world of difference and you will love it, tag us in any pictures @myvirginkitchen

if you try this and any of the recipes on the website, do not forget to subscribe for

regular videos, give this video a like and we will see you next time, right.

Tips for boosting your career in the New Year - Duration: 3:07.

SO COME ALONG WITH US FOR THE

FUN ON "THE RHODE SHOW".

Brendan: ON THE JOB THIS

MORNING, WE ARE TALKING NEW

YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS INVOLVING

YOUR CAREER.

IMPROVING LIFE AT WORK IS A

POPULAR ONE FOR MANY FOLKS

LOOKING TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS IN

THE NEW YEAR.

HERE TO SHARE TIPS AND ADVICE

ON BOOSTING YOUR JOB IS REBECCA

RISKE, METRO MARKET MANAGER FOR

ROBERT HATHE.

HI, REBECCA.

HI THERE.

Brendan: WELCOME BACK TO THE

SHOU. WE'VE HAD A CHANCE NOW TO

REASSESS OUR CAREERS, YOU ARE

LIVES.

EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT THINKING OF

SHIFTING CAREERS IT IS A GOOD

OPPORTUNITY TO THINK ABOUT AN

ADVANCEMENT WITHIN OUR OWN

CAREER.

ABSOLUTELY.

THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO LOOK AT

IMPROVING SKILLS, GROWING

SKILLS OR IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO

MAKE A CAREER CHANGE, JANUARY

IS A GREAT TIME TO GET CAREER

TRACTION.

Brendan: IT IS CRUCIAL TO

THINK OF THIS WHEN YOU ARE

BEING CONTEMPLATIVE AT THIS

TIME OF YEAR, THE REALISTIC

EXPECTATIONS ARE CRUCIAL.

YOU WANT TO BE REALISTIC IN

YOUR GOALS AND WHAT YOU LIKE TO

ACHIEVE.

YES.

THERE IS A COUPLE OF PIECES OF

ADVICE.

FIRST, DON'T AIM TOO HIGH.

BIG, BIG GOALS ARE OVERWHELMING

AND EASY TO DROP.

SECOND, FOCUS ON THINGS THAT

YOU CAN DROP.

-- CONTROL.

IT MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA TO MAKE

SIX FIGURE THIS IS YEAR BUT

THAT MIGHT NOT BE IN YOUR

CONTROL.

BUT CONCENTRATINGS ON YOUR

SKILL CAN HELP THAT.

Brendan: AIMING LOW HAS

WORKED OUT VERY WELL FOR ME,

REBECCA.

LET'S TALK ABOUT COMMON GOALS.

I THINK ONE THANING MANY

PEOPLE CAN IMPROVE UPON IS TIME

MANAGEMENT.

MANAGING E-MAIL IS A GOOD

EXAMPLE OF THAT.

IT'S BEEN DETERMINED THAT A

GOOD CHUNK OF TIME THAT WE

SPEND MANAGING OUR E-MAIL IS

WASTED TIME.

SO, SETTING UP BETTER SPAM

FILTERS, VOWING TO RESPOND TO

E-MAILS CERTAIN POINTS

THROUGHOUT THE DAY RATHER THAN

AS MESSAGES COME IN CAN REALLY

HELP.

Brendan: THAT IS A TOUGH ONE.

WE CAN ALL START TO EMPATHIZE

WITH THE FACT THAT THE E-MAILS

PILE UP AND PILE UP.

WE WANT TO GET BACK TO EVERYONE.

WE DON'T WANT THEM TO THINK

THAT WE'RE BEING INCONSIDERATE

OR UNPROFESSIONAL.

BUT THAT IS A REAL CHALLENGE.

I'M SURE YOU HEAR A LOT ABOUT

THAT ONE.

ABSOLUTELY.

Brendan: LET'S HEAR ABOUT A

LOFTIER GOAL.

ONE THING I CAN THINK ABOUT

IS RELOCATION.

A LOT OF PEOPLE, ONE-THIRD OF

PEOPLE THAT WE POLLED TRULY

FELT IF THEY RELOCATED TO

ANOTHER CITY, THEIR CAREER

PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITIES WOULD

IMPROVE.

THAT IS A HUGE, DAUNTING

CHALLENGE.

BUT IF YOU DO THE RIGHT

RESEARCH, MOVING TO A NEW

SETTING MIGHT HELP YOU IN YOUR

JOB SEARCH.

Brendan: ABSOLUTELY.

AND NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS AT

WORK, WHEN WE THINK OF THEM,

LOSING WEIGHT, GETING TO THE

GYM, AND LEARNING A NEW SKILL.

BUT THEY ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT

AT WORK, AREN'T THEY?

AS WITH ANYTHING YOU DO IN

YOUR PERSONAL LIFE, BEING

ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THE

RESOLUTION YOU ARE SETTING SO

IMPORTANT.

IF YOU ARE NOT ENTHUSIASTIC

ABOUT IT, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO

ACCOMPLISH THAT GOAL.

Brendan: YOU NEED TO FEEL

THAT PASSION AND LIVE IT EVERY

DAY.

LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE.

I ALSO THINK ABOUT BEING

SPECIFIC ABOUT YOUR GOAL IS

IMPORTANT.

VAGUE AND AMBIGUOUS GOALS ARE

LESS LIKELY TO HAPPEN.

Brendan: AND REBECCA IS HERE

FOR TWO.

How to make Brunswick Stew: Great meal for cold Winter nights! - Duration: 6:16.

hey everyone so this is Brunswick stew is

how you make Brunswick stew is getting

cold outside the color looking at sub 30

degrees which are some of you guys are

thinking

yeah okay not really big deal but for us

in North Carolina you were getting into

a position where snow is on the way so

we're going to do a Brunswick stew is

the crockpot recipe it's really simple

the whole purpose of it is that you wake

up a little bit early for the day you

get everything put your crock-pot and

you leave for work you come home and

it's done purpose of the crockpot

this particular stew there's really no

time limit

there are going to be some recipes say that

you know eight hours nine hours four

hours

look it doesn't really matter put it on

low and leave it just make sure there's

moisture in the pot you'll be fine

the longer actually longer it sits the

more time that the flavors have to blend

all right so and makes it better

traditional bruswick stew you

bring stuff in from the field right

before and you cant can it because

there's not enough of it and it's

getting to that time we're all right

we're going to be cutting the field down

so we're going to bring all the leftover

stuff and bring it in and put into a

stew typically it's vegetable stew or

vegetable soup you add me to it now it's

Brunswick stew so we're using chicken

for ours

alright you can use ground pork you can

use ground beef

you can mix up a bunch of these together

really is not a big deal just put

something in there so our base is going

to be tomatoes for again traditional you

bring in tomatoes from the field for us

to use canned tomatoes because they're

readily available and can tomatoes

really make it a good base

these are diced and so you go chopped up

into small pieces so we use a couple of

cans of these this is why it's and

coubbard going to use corn both the whole

kernel and the creamed corn because

creamed corn has more of a sweeter taste

to it we're going to use lima beans that

gives you something really bite down and

actually gives you a decent amount of

protein

I've got some corn that was left in the

freezer for about a couple of months

back so it's really not that big a deal

and then of course we're going to

chicken that's gonna be your base is

going to be the majority of it now we've

got our taste modifiers we're going to

put in some some Worcestershire sauce

what this is gonna do is gonna add

someone of a smoky flavor to it we're

going to put in some ketchup so it's

gonna add a little bit more of a sweet

taste to it

hot sauce we know the reason for that

and BBQ sauce I've got this one sitting

here because it's ready to go but

barbecue sauce to add that different

flavor to it

so what we're gonna do is just gonna

open all this stuff up and get into the

pot

alright so we've got everything portion

down and ready to go out my crock-pot

and getting warm one of the first things

that I did was just cut up the chicken

to where it's gonna cook a lot faster

and then cut down a lot quicker you can

also throw just the regular chunks in

there just read the whole breast in

there and then take them out later on

and shredding the two forks this seems

just about it easy so i'm gonna go ahead

and put that in and then we're just

going to add all the rest ingredients so

that's one can and two cans of diced

tomatoes a can of whole corn with this

frozen thing of corn creamed corn

lima beans and you don't have to cook

them or thaw them or anything like

that they're ready to go worcestershire sauce that's

just a couple of you know glugs of it

some hot sauce that's just there's no

real amount of how much hot sauce

whatever you're comfortable with half a

cup of ketchup and half a cup of

barbecue sauce and that's pretty much it

now you just get in there stir it around

a little bit and let it go

like I said just leave it on low and

just how long you want to leave it in

there I'm gonna have it set for eight hours so

that it turns off on its own

now if you are in the mindset that ok

what if that snow storm comes in and

what if it knocks out power

alright so what I'm gonna do is I'm

gonna leave this and cook it today

tomorrow is when the snows one should be

hitting I've got my Dutch oven and my

this is a wonderful buy great

its from Lodge

if you're looking to buy a good

Dutch oven just look down the

description and they'll be a link to

amazon just go ahead and buy your

12-inch lodge

here's how you work this thing go

outside make you a fire just get some

firewood your fire pit together and

start your fire let it burn down to

coals then you're basically just going

to sit this down in it

this guy's legs on it so you're gonna

stuff the coals underneath here you're

gonna take some cold and you're gonna

put it on top

remember this is frozen you're gonna

take this one spinach and freeze it

what's left over for another meal take

it and just dump all that in here

close it up put your coals on top and

let it sit for a couple hours that coals

gonna basically warm this

up warm that up and you'll have a good

meal that you've already cooked ready to

go you know how good it tastes you how

feeling it is it's ready to go in your

in your Dutch oven and you had another

me a hot meal is important

well there's a power outage so with that

thank you for watching make sure you

subscribe like comment if you have any

questions if you need a recipe for once

guys and he's a recipe again it's gonna

be in the notes below in the description

below so again like subscribe comment go

information I have a be a more manly man

in your own life

thank you for watching

I believe that the home study process is educational and beneficial - Duration: 1:29.

Honestly, in the whole process, I don't think anything is broken.

I think in a way, that I wish everybody had to go through home studies to be able,

even if there were couples, to have a kid, to learn more about parenthood,

to learn more about a safe house, to have a background check.

The all things that all I had to do with an adoption agency, it makes it makes you

think about it more. I think there would be less troubled families if everyone had

to actually go through what I've have had to go through. Because it proves, A,

that you really want to do this. And B, it educates you. I had to take a CPR course

and make sure the house is more home- proof, learn more about racial harmony in

different children, what you should be looking for. But, with the adoption agency

I think it worked great. I really do. I don't know if it was this particular

independent adoption center, the IAC. I don't know if it was just

them, that they knew what they were doing and they had somebody with me through the

whole process. It could have been my temperament, that I was calm about

everything. They even complimented, like, "Wow, we wish everybody was just more laid

back like you."

How To Do The Dumbbell Tricep Kickback: Easy Home Exercise/Workout Tips Online: XXX - Duration: 1:08.

- The tricep kickback is a fantastic isolation

for the top back of your arm.

The tricep.

To do this movement,

have something you can put your hand on,

a bench or a chair

and a dumbbell.

Keep really good posture

so make sure your back is straight

all the way through your head.

Raise the back of your arm so

that it's parallel with the ground.

And from here you're just kicking the

weight straight backwards with an exhale.

Keep the core tight,

keep your posture good.

Your hand is just down for support.

The top of your arm is staying in place.

The only thing moving is

that weight going up and down with your forearm.

Perfect.

Keep that elbow tight in to your side.

Kick it straight back.

Keep the upper part of the arm

parallel with the ground

and you have a great isolation for your tricep.

This is Alabama | Barber Motorsports Park - Duration: 5:47.

Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham

has been called the Augusta National of race tracks.

Its beauty is second only to its difficulty.

This is no oval.

The raceway is full of blind turns, changes in elevation, and long straightaways.

One way to get behind the wheel is the Porsche Sport Driving School.

This school is the only one of its kind in North America

bringing in drivers from around the world.

From the skidpad to the autocross track

to the racecourse itself.

Barber is a world-class training facility for

anyone looking to go fast.

This is Alabama's Ginnard Archibald has

enrolled for a day of training with

professional driver instructor Sherman Engler

to learn the fundamental out on the cross track.

Alright Sherman we're down here at the

autocross track correct.

That's it. We're going to show you what to do next.

Alright, so what are we gonna be driving today ?

Well this is a Porsche Boxter GTS

which is a higher level performance boxer.

We find for the autocross it's

really a good example of a car that

handles well-being mid-engine it's a

little more balance. It is a PDK

transmission so it's primarily going to

do all the shifting for you.

You're going to kind of run me through this.

You're going to guide me through and give me some

instruction. I guess you'll take it

first and then you'll hand it off to me

which I think we're excited about.

Hopefully I can impress you.

No need to try to impress me.

And also, no need to try to scare me

because I'm already a little scared about riding with you.

Alright

Lets do this!

I thought I'd be nervous but I'm not nervous.

You ready to roll. I'm ready to roll.

So it's still a pretty damp track we'll just

take it easy i'll point out some of the

landmarks so the yellow cones indicate

we're entering a break zone.

So start breaking in this area.

As you enter the corner you'll start releasing the brake

while you're looking around the corner.

Keep looking ahead. Try to think of the

term look to the future.

That's the key.

All right we can accelerate a

bit and you will enter a second brake zone .

Starting over here on the left for

best entry to the right. Light brake.

Alright lets start picking the pace up.

Here we go.

So we're picking the pace up.

Look to the Future.

I'll squeezed the throttle gently.

Adding power.

Getting a little bit more comfortable. Getting a little bit more comfortable.

The idea is always keep turning your head.

So where are you constantly looking?

You're always looking ahead.

right now I'm looking to the left and now i'm looking around

the corner to the right. At this point

I'm looking at the yellow cone.

So the key is always be one corner ahead of the

car so I'm looking around the corner

to the next right hander.

So the next turn ahead you always need to be looking.

So, left turn here. Right turn here. Straight away.

Now we'll come to stop now

you want to give it a try.

Yeah I might need to gather myself.

That was a lot.

That was a lot.

So let's just go out and do some slow laps. .

Do i have a parking break. No.

So, remember enter in a right hand corner you're

going to start on the left side of the track.

And, basically let that hand shuffle through good

Look around the corner.

I try to look to the next yellow cone.

Putting those eyes ahead.

Break?

Yeah, you know I want you to kind of

build some muscle memory even if you don't need much.

Good reconnaissance lap.

let's accelerate on forward.

Looking around the corner.

Good, add power.

Long straightaway coming up lets gas it here.

Stay on the power, and a firm brake.

Be a little firmer on the brake.

I can hit it harder?

Absolutely.

Oh @#&*!

That's what we call a no-cost accident.

So, go ahead and start driving again.

Keep on driving.

*Cone dragging*

Do i need to get that?

Don't worry about it. I'll take a look at it.

That is a little bit of conage.

Just park up here. We'll get them out.

Just let me know where to park.

Alright! So, that was that!

I don't know what else to say but wow!

I knew Barber existed but i

had no idea that you guys had

this kind of program going on here

in Birmingham Alabama and the fact that

people come here from all over the world

to enjoy this.

They do. You know we're so fortunate

I've got to meet people from all over

the world here it's not unusual to have

people from seven or eight countries any

given time and Portia has schools all

over the world but this is by far their

largest school and we also do the most

days in a year. So people who are real

fan of Motorsports already know this

track from seeing it on television for

races here but they want to experience

it and the only way to experience this track

is come out and drive it.

even going downhill you capture energy

and when you have the time to get out

and play the Falco gives you the power

to explore as widely you desire and

here's your better half at the end of

his long work day moving at 28 miles per

hour the very same bike becomes his

indoor trainer his workout and body are

transformed his bicycle has become his

passion and his velocity the falco is

now an extension of who he is and how he moves

by providing power to his

explorations and wanderings even his eco

print has been changed by Falco

this is you the way you cycle has changed

You have evolved your bike has too

Falco
