Appomattox Campaign, Episode 6: Amelia Court House (HD) - Duration: 1:29.

[Banjo Music]

We are currently standing in Amelia Court House,

the county seat for Amelia County here in Virginia.

After General Robert E. Lee evacuates both the cities of Richmond and Petersburg, he

hopes to reunite his army here in this small Virginia town.

On April 4, 1865 Robert E. Lee and the Army of Northern Virginia will reunite here at

Amelia Court House.

Also at Amelia Court House, Robert E. Lee hopes to find trains full of rations waiting

at the station for his men.

When the army arrives they do find trains, however these trains have no rations; they're

full of munitions, war supplies in order to keep the army fighting.

So Robert E. Lee will be stuck here in Amelia Court House for almost a day, because he will

send forage wagons out among the countrysides.

Attached to those wagons is a note from Robert E. Lee, asking the citizens of this area to

help feed the army that has fought for their independence for the last four years.

Unfortunately for Robert E. Lee,

most of those forage wagons will return here to Amelia Court House empty.

Robert E. Lee then decides by April 5, 1865 that he will take his Army of Northern Virginia

south through the Virginia town of Jetersville,

on into North Carolina, and link up with General Joseph Johnston.

Russian Farmers Protest For Keeping Sanctions Against EU & USA And Start Feeding China - Duration: 6:18.

On Tuesday, 1500 farmers from the Krasnodar Krai organized a rally in the city of Tikhoretsk.

Agrarians demanded the preservation of economic sanctions,

because they help them to develop.

I will remind you that 3 years ago the United States and the European Union countries

imposed economic sanctions against Russia.

In return, Russia restricted the access of products from these countries to the Russian market.

The President announced the policy of import substitution.

Farmers took the idea with enthusiasm and are now showing excellent results.

The growth of the agricultural production last year in Russia amounted to 5%.

This is significantly more than the average for the economy.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, in 2016,

a record harvest of grain, corn, buckwheat, sunflower, soy, vegetables and fruits was collected.

Half a million hectares of arable land was introduced into agricultural processes.

Export of agricultural products and food increased by 4% and amounted to 17 billion dollars.

March 29, Russia signed a long-term agreement

on the supply of Russian agricultural products to China.

We are talking about the export of Russian soybeans, barley, rapeseed, flax seeds,

as well as unrefined sunflower oil.

Under this agreement, the first trains to China will already depart in mid-April.

In fact, Russia is beginning to feed China more and more.

Bread, sausage, sweets, and ice cream are increasingly popular in China.

China's market is unlimited for us.

Alisa Romanova will tell you about why the Chinese love our food.

Wang Xianzheng, or just Sasha, feels like at home in the Kremlin.

He learns about Russia not from textbooks, but from the matryoshka dolls.

War and...

War and Peace.

War and Peace, yes, that's right.

Famous...

The one behind him is the largest in the world. It can be seen even from Russia.

Russia is already five kilometers away.

Its border.

The matryoshka-themed park was built

to acquaint the Chinese with their neighbor

and to consolidate the status of the city of Manchuria as a trade zone with Russia.

But people know its taste since childhood.

We know bread,

sausage,

chocolate,

ice cream.

After an ad showing a box of ice cream from President Xi Jinping,

Wang turned into king of ice cream from an average businessman.

Every tenth factory in Russia is now his partner.

The number of orders increased threefold.

New contracts are worth 15 million yuan.

Natural milk, not much water, the quality is good.

In China, everyone should try it.

Manchuria, or Mangzhou, is the most important checkpoint between Russia and China.

Most of the Russian past and present imports pass through this area.

For instance, we see a lot of wood, fertilizers, coal, are transported through here.

But in the last two years, food products have become the hit of imports.

Never has it happen that the boxes with products could not fit in the stores,

and the Chinese served Kamchatka crabs and chocolate on the table.

In 2016, supplies of food from Russia increased by another 20%.

Previously, all this abundance was known only in the North.

Many families here have the following grocery set: flour, butter, milk powder.

But now, people from other provinces also order our food.

In Beijing, you can even run into this.

This is chaga, a birch mushroom.

We also brew it with water and drink it.

It is very healthy.

The Chinese get richer and consume more,

but less and less land is suitable for pasture, growing vegetables and grain.

One-fifth is poisoned by heavy metals.

In the ranking on the level of food safety, China is only in the middle of the list.

By 2020, it will import most of the products.

Especially meat.

Supplies of pork, chicken, and beef are already being considered in Russia

as a lucrative export article in a few years.

And last week, the countries agreed on the supply of grain, beans, and butter.

For ten years ahead. The contract is for 52 million tons.

If we sell products worth half a billion dollars to China,

then China buys agricultural products worth a total of more than one hundred billion dollars.

It's not much.

We are trying to export agricultural products not only to China, but also to other continents.

In China, the trend was picked up by many.

In autumn, the largest website "Epindo" was launched.

Literally translates to "a lot of products from Russia".

In China, there is a billion and 300 million people.

Even if 1% of the population falls in love with the Russian goods,

this is already a very large market.

Sensational calculations were made in the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

If even 1% of soft drinks and ice cream in China comes from Russia,

our trade turnover will grow by 30-40 billion dollars.

We know that the water from Baikal is the cleanest and the most healthy one.

That's why people buy it a lot.

One more thing is very popular among the confectioners, "Tiramisu".

- Tiramisu. -Yes.

For some reason the Chinese use the name of an Italian dessert

for the medovik cake.

Honey, sugar, condensed milk, flour, vinegar, everything is from Russia.

The volume of this production is much less,

but the Chinese should also accustom to the Russian deli meat.

For them, the taste is still incomprehensible.

We make it without starch. A real taste.

The same way, the Russians and the Chinese started to bake bread together.

Using the Russian ingredients.

There are no additives in the Russian products.

So, now people like them.

Even in the legendary Beijing cafe Moskva, bread is called not in Chinese "mehnbao",

but in Russian - khleb.

Moskva was opened in the times of Mao, in 1954.

This was the first foreign restaurant.

To this day, people come here to try jelly meat and dressed herring

while surrounded by fancy interior.

All imported products used to be just exotic,

but now they are automatically considered as safe.

Your state standard is higher than in China.

Therefore, we believe that these goods are better than ours.

Honestly speaking.

The Chinese are, of course, conservative when it comes to food

and are unlikely to give up their understandable dishes.

But all the basic ingredients are produced in Russia:

flour, butter, meat, fish, seafood, cereals.

In China, it is understood that relations need to be built up for a long time

and in such a way that they are not affected by the currency rate or black exports.

Nightcore - Walk On Water【Blessthefall】Lyrics & Spectrum [Request] - Duration: 3:15.

We're reading psalms to the dead Lighting candles to make amends

For a voice never to speak again Six feet under for what never should've

been

Stop living like you walk on water Looking down on all those left to drown

Stop living like you walk on water Looking down on all those left to drown

And you know I couldn't find the words before Only if I had another day left here

I'd tell you, I'd tell you If I had another day to try to take away your

pain Now you're so far out of reach

It's a lesson you can't teach

You love and you lose I wish that you know

That it's just a lesson you can't teach You love and you lose

I wish that you know That it's just a lesson you can't teach

I've seen the scars you've tried to hide Searching for answers when you look to the

sky Say I'm liar, say I'm a fake

I'm far from a saint So I'll live with my mistakes

If I'm a liar, if I'm a fake I'll take all these sins

And you can burn me at the stake I'll take all these sins

And you can burn me at the stake

And you know I couldn't find the words before Only if I had another day left here

I'd tell you, I'd tell you If I had another day to try to take away your

pain Now you're so far out of reach

It's a lesson you can't teach

You love and you lose I wish that you know

That it's just a lesson you can't teach You love and you lose

I wish that you know That it's just a lesson you can't teach

Son of God, are you listening?

Son of God, can you hear my cry?

We put our faith into you How could you just watch them die?

Senator Tim Kaine: Prosecute Bashar al-Assad For War Crimes | Morning Joe | MSNBC - Duration: 3:52.

ONE OF GREATLY INCREASED PRESSURE AND THEN EVENTUAL

ENGAGEMENT. >> LET'S GO TO CAPITOL HILL

MEMBER OF SENATE FOREIGN RELATIONS ARMED SERVICE DEMOCRAT

TIM KAINE OF VIRGINIA. GOOS TO SEE YOU.

>> HI, WILLIE. >> YOU WERE ON IN OCTOBER A FEW

WEEKS BEFORE THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

YOU AND I AND A GROUP AROUND THE TABLE TALKED ABOUT WHAT TO DO

WITH SYRIA. HERE WE ARE AGAIN.

WE TALKED ABOUT CHEMICAL ATTACK. WE MUST HOLD ACCOUNTABLE AND

PROTECT CIVILIANS. YOU SAID IN OCTOBER WE NEED A

HUMANITARIAN ZONE IN SYRIA. IS THAT THE BEST OPTION?

IS THERE ANY MORE THAN THE UNITED STATES CAN BE DOING?

ALL THIS WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THIS PROBLEM, CHILDREN

SUFFOCATING TO DEATH ROLLING ACROSS SCREENS AROUND THE WORLD.

>> WILLIE, THIS IS HORRIFYING. WE OUGHT TO BE DOING A COUPLE OF

THINGS. FIRST, THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS

TO BLUNTLY, VIGOROUSLY, CONTINUOUSLY CALL OUT THE

ATROCITIES OF BASHAR AL ASSAD, WHICH ARE HELPED IN IMMEASURABLE

WAYS BY RUSSIANS AND IRANIANS. I THINK THE ADMINISTRATION'S

DECISION TO TRY TO COZY UP TO RUSSIA MEANS THEY ARE NOT

WILLING TO CALL A HUMANITARIAN WAR CRIME EXACTLY WHAT IT IS.

WE'VE SEEN THIS A COUPLE OF TIMES IN THE ADMINISTRATION.

SECOND, THE REASON FOR THE HUMANITARIAN SAFE ZONE WAS

BECAUSE THE U.N. CALLED FOR CROSS-BORDER DELIVERY OF

HUMANITARIAN AID IN FEBRUARY OF 2014 BUT THE WORLD COMMUNITY HAS

DONE NOTHING -- NOTHING TO ENFORCE THAT.

YOU CAN'T HAVE A STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLE FROM THE INTERNATIONAL

WORLD ON SOMETHING LIKE THIS AND DO NOTHING TO ENFORCE IT.

SO WHILE IT'S GOTTEN MORE COMPLICATED BECAUSE OF THE

ENTRANCE OF RUSSIANS AND TURKISH, KURDISH DISPUTE ON THE

BORDER, WE SHOULD STILL TRY TO PROVIDE A PLACE IN SYRIA WHICH

PEOPLE CAN STAY IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY, WHICH THEY WANT TO DO,

SAFE FROM THE ATROCITIES OF BASHAR AL ASSAD OR ISIS.

>> WE HAD A LEADER OF SYRIAN OPPOSITION AND SHE PRETTY

PASSIONATELY MADE A PLEA TO UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, MR.

TRUMP AND YOU ALL IN THE SENATE TO DO MORE.

SHE MENTIONED GROUNDING THE AIR FORCE, PERHAPS ATTACKING SOME OF

THE SYRIAN AIR FORCE'S PLANES ON THE GROUND.

AS YOU REMEMBER THAT'S A POSITION HELD BY THEN SECRETARY

OF STATE JOHN KERRY IN 2013. HE MADE THE CASE FOR THAT.

SHOULD THE UNITED STATES ATTACK THE SYRIAN AIR FORCE?

>> WILLIE, I VOTED IN AUGUST OF 2013 THAT WE SHOULD USE MILITARY

ACTION TO PUNISH BASHAR AL ASSAD FOR USING CHEMICAL WEAPONS.

I HAVE KIDS IN THE MILITARY, THIS IS NOT AN EASY VOTE TO

TAKE. WHEN YOU HAVE CHEMICAL, YOU

CANNOT USE AGAINST CIVILIANS. THAT HAS HELPED TROOPS ON THE

BATTLEFIELD BE RELATIVELY MORE SECURE KNOWING CHEMICAL WEAPONS

WON'T BE USED. SOMEBODY VIOLATES IT, THERE HAS

TO BE A CONSEQUENCE. >> INCLUDING ATTACKING THE AIR

FORCE, SENATOR. >> HERE IS WHAT I WOULD DO.

START WITH THE PROPOSITION OF PROVIDING HUMANITARIAN AID.

IF ANYBODY TRIED TO SCREW AROUND WITH OUR EFFORTS TO PROVIDE

HUMANITARIAN AID, THERE WOULD HAVE TO BE MILITARY EFFORT TO

PROTECT THE RIGHT TO FOLLOW THAT U.N. SECURITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION. >> ISN'T IT CLEAR BASHAR AL

ASSAD IS WILLING TO DO MORE THAN SCREW AROUND.

>> ABSOLUTELY. >> WE MADE A DEAL WITH HIM HE

WOULD GET RID OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS IN SYRIA.

THAT WAS ARGUABLY THE REASON WE WEREN'T GOING IN AND DOING

SOMETHING ABOUT IT BUT HERE WE ARE WITH ANOTHER ATTACK.

>> THAT'S TRUE. WE SHOULD BE PROSECUTING BASHAR

AL ASSAD FOR WAR CRIMES IN THE HAGUE.

WE SHOULD BE DOING A LOT

Learn Fusion 360 - Installation - Duration: 7:32.

Hey, Dennis Caskey from DennisCaskey.com

here. It's a little chilly out here in the

shop, so I'm going to go inside and I'm

going to sit at the computer and I'm

going to show you how to install Fusion 360

from Autodesk. Fusion 360 is a really

cool piece of CAD software - computer

aided design. So, and actually it's going

to be the start of a series of videos

where I take you from

installation of the software to actually

designing your first project. And then

after that there will be another series

of videos where we come back out here to

the shop and we actually build that

project. So, I hope you stick around

for the whole series so, anyway, let's

let's go on inside. Today we're going to

install it I'm going to show you how you

can get it for free. Pretty cool. Anyway,

let's go. Let's go right now.

So, the first thing you're going to want

to do is to check the system

requirements for Fusion 360 before you

go any further. I'll leave a link in the

description here for it. It's quite a

long one so I'm not going to try to say

it here. But just as an example, I've

got it installed on a couple of

different computers. My laptop, which does

not meet their system requirements. It

does work but it's very slow especially

to start up. It takes a good five minutes

just to start the program and then if

the models get too complex then it's

very sluggish as well and it'll pause

for a while and you got to kind of sit

and wait for it and then you can do

your thing. But, I would recommend getting

the fastest computer that you can to run

it on the second computer i have

here is actually my son's gaming

computer which more than meets the

minimum requirements here and it runs

great. So, your computer hardware is

really important. So, I do have a blog

post in which I talk about this and I'll

link to that down below as well. So,

anyway, that's all I'm going to say about

that I guess. So, to install Fusion 360

you'll need to go to

Autodesk.com/products/Fusion-360/overview and I

will put that link down below in the

show notes or in the description so that

you can just copy and paste that into

your browser. So, the part of this

webpage that you need to go to, you have to

scroll down just a little bit here to

this section here where it says, "Free for

students, enthusiasts, hobbyists, and

startups." So, as a student you can

download this and use it for free for

longer than the 30-day trial. The 30-day

trial is for everyone, but if

you're a student you can register it for

free use and continue to use it for a

full year before needing to reregister

it again.

So, all's we need to do here is hit

"Download now," put in our email address,

and then select "Download Free Trial" and

then you've got it to click the little

check box here, too, first. It takes you into

the next page. That is just a quick

little downloader thing and then we will

click on that and run that. Now,

depending on your browser settings you

may have to navigate to wherever you

saved it to to run this. I can run it

from right here because I'm using Chrome.

And now the actual application will

begin to download and install. So, that

probably took about five minutes to

download. Maybe 10. I don't know there

wasn't a whole lot of attention. You will

need to create a new Autodesk account at

this point if you don't already have one.

So, you can select this link Create

Account" and you will fill in all of your

information, agree to the Terms of

Service, and create account. And there's a

checkbox here if you want to receive

their newsletter and stuff. So, next hit

"Done,"

select "Continue," and then Fusion 360 is

now installed and the program is actually

running here. And it's going

to go through a little bit of a How To.

So, right here they're

pointing out that your 30-day trial has

begun. So, you can hit "Next" here. Here's

your data panel. It's this little button

up here. That's where projects and files

will be accessed. You can hit "Done." What

we want to do at this point, though, is we

want to get set up for a student

account so it doesn't... you don't lose

the license in 30 days. So, if we click

right there on that blue button, what

we're going to do is sign up as a

student or educator for a free license.

Oh, wow, actually it's three years

for students. Let's go ahead and click on

that, select what country you're in,

select "Accept Terms and Conditions," and

then hit "Submit." So, we can close that.

Okay, so, at this point you should have

your Autodesk Fusion 360 installed on

your machine and you should have your

three year student license.

So, pretty

cool, huh? Yeah. Software for free for

three years, I mean, you can't really beat

that. So, yeah, next time we will... we're going to

cover some of the interface, show you how

to manipulate geometry, create geometry...

probably not in that order. But,

anyway, we're do

some cool stuff with it. So, if you could

do me a favor, hit the Subscribe Button,

hit the Like button, that would really

really help me out. Also, I am in the

process of creating an online class for

Fusion 360 that goes through a whole lot

more than just the interface and

creating simple geometry. We'll get into

all kinds of stuff. Really cool stuff

that it can do.

If you would be interested in taking a

class like that, please hit the link

right here and that will take you to a

page where you can sign up for the... not

up for the class, but you can be notified

of when that class is ready. So, if you

want to do that, click there and we'll go

from there. So, thanks for watching. We'll

see you later. Bye.

Top Tips for Job Interviews in English (...and what NOT to do!) - Duration: 32:13.

Hi everyone my name is Amy and I'm from

realenglishconversations.com and i'm

here with Greg from onlinelanguage

academy.com and what are we going to

talk about today Greg? we're going to

talk about advice for doing interviews

in English yep and things that you

should not do in your interview if you

really really like to get a job which we

know many of you are studying English

for that reason to finally get a job at

an english-speaking company and really

use this skill that you've been working

really really hard on to try to improve

so the reason why I'm talking to Greg

about this is he has well why don't you

explain your website Greg what do you do?

so I run online language academy.

com it's a company that offers

one-to-one classes via Skype with native

English teachers so the teachers are all

around the world students are all around

the world and we help those students

reach a high level of spoken English and

yeah I often ask well always ask the

students at the beginning what is your

reason for learning English and almost

always it is for work for getting a

better job or you know for doing an

interview in English so it's it's really

important this first step in getting

an interview and doing an interview in

English it's a really really important

thing for many of our students it's the

whole goal and for you you're such a

great person to talk to about this

because you've hired so many different

teachers in the time or your website

to do these conversation lessons which

means you've done a lot of interviews

absolutely yeah when I was a kid I wish

I had the opportunity to interview so

many people because it really is the

best way to give you an idea of what you

should do in an interview and what you

absolutely should not do in the interview so

I have

lot of good and bad experiences from

these past seven years alright so why

don't we start with the first things

that you see before you even approach

the person to do an interview because of

course to get an interview is the first

step before you actually even have one

yeah so what are a few of the mistakes

that you see over and over and over

again that you think you can give some

advice to help some people to not do

yeah I mean I think when people when

many people apply for a job via email

they don't realize that the person

reading that is going to receive maybe a

hundred or more applications for the

same job okay and that they don't have

all week to read every single one so

every detail exactly as amazing is it

may be yeah yeah I'm sure you love your

CV but believe me the interviewer is not

going to be able to read every detail of

every CV before they decide who to give

an interview to so so you've got to

stand out okay you've got to stand out

you've got to be unique and if I'm

reading 10 CV's in a minute why am I

going to look at yours okay if it's a

simple word document which is just ugly

text I'm not going to really enjoy

reading it but if it's a an elegant

creative CV done with you know lots of

visuals I know some people use

illustrator which is fantastic they

the CV created with illustrator

stand out so so much and I guarantee you I

will read every detail on that CV so

that's really interesting because now

that we're in a digital era of time I

like I think of when I used to apply for

jobs it was a piece of paper and I

walked around to different businesses

but now you know you have an opportunity

to really impress or

take it up a step because of

Technology and like you said illustrator

makes it a little bit more interactive is

it interactive? I don't know about it it's

just a lot more visual so instead of

saying for example I speak English

English French Spanish and Italian they

would create like a almost like a graph

where English would be up here and it

would say native Spanish would be up

here bilingual French would be up here

you know advanced and Italian would be a

little bit down here and there would be the

colors of the flags of those countries

oh that's cool it's yeah it's just a lot

more visually pleasing to look at that

than to read the same old text in black

and white Spanish into advanced you

know this intermediate Blah Blah Blah

it just makes it a lot more interesting

and it also gives you the idea that hey

this is a creative person no matter what

they're doing they're creative and they care

about the job that they're applying for

so it's it's great and you can I think

you can add links to them and as you said

we're in a digital era now and the

person reading it is going to be

connected to the Internet and just with

one click on a certain part of your CV

if it's a PDF you know you can click to

the applicants website which could be just

a simple about dot me website which

could be you know a photo and some just you

know one page introduction to you but it

just makes you different and stand out

that's right and have you had anybody

that's been attaching a video as part of

their application? or how common is that

now? since this academic year I

actually demand that all applicants send

a video, yeah? wow! yeah this does basically I

mean I used to get a hundred sometimes

even two hundred applications

for one job posting that I put oh okay and

what this does I put on my applications

now I put if you don't send a video

your application will not be considered

and yeah really really really harsh but

what it does is it makes sure that

everybody who applies is really really

serious about the job they they've

made the effort to make a video they

know how to use a computer which is

important if you're giving classes via

Skype and and it gives a great first

impression of me I mean I have to have

native English speakers but when I used

to get two hundred applications a lot of them

would be people whose whose English was

very good but it was not their their

mother tongue so oh geez so you can't tell from

the resume or the CV but in a video

it's very evident whether or not it's

their native language absolutely my

my surname is Italian so I know hey if

I'm writing to somebody maybe they think

I'm Italian you know I know that a lot

of a lot of teachers have you can't tell

you can't tell just by looking at their

name if there are native teacher or not

that's right and you might get an application

from Alfredo Blanco and he'll call himself

Fred White and you don't know until the

interview that is actually Spanish

a different yeah he's a Spanish speaker

and definitely not a native speaker

which you would be looking for

especially for your English lessons that

you do absolutely yeah and I think it also really

helps where the person they can show

their personality they're just able

to express themselves a little bit more

and give you a few seconds to just make

that impression that first impression

and and you know I really personally

if I'm watching a video when I'm trying

to hire someone because I hire some

freelancers sometimes I really notice

but if a person is just hello my name

is so-and-so and this is what

I do yeah okay thank you bye it's not

very exciting for them and it's not

exciting for us so it's no probably

going to be a next absolutely and it's

you know we're talking about a job for

a teacher of it doesn't have to be a well I mean

the my case I'm looking for teachers but

if you're dealing with the public or if

you're dealing with other people you

want to see that this person is going to

connect is going to be have a nice

personality be be friendly be a you know

you want to see their personality in

that video and you don't want them to just

read a script read some notes they've made

saying everything you want to hear no you

want to know who is this person who are

they are they going to be a good fit

with me can I connect with them in this

short introduction and it's more than

you can really do with a piece of paper

or a presentation it's it puts more than

words on paper to actually see someone

speaking and I mean just taking the time

to make a video that really shows a lot

about how serious they are about the

job so yeah a lot of people don't like

making a video or you know don't

like putting it even on YouTube I mean

you can put it on youtube and put a

private link that you can attach to the

CV but some people just don't want to do

that and they're they're not willing to

do that for a job then we're talking

about a job you've got to make the

effort to get a job you're not just

going to get it on a plate and if you're

not willing to make the extra effort for

the application then you're probably not

going to be willing to make the extra

effort or you go the extra mile in your

actual job so it's a great first test

really and I think that goes also to

when you're creating your resume it's

really important to add a little bit of

personalization to take the time to say

what company you're applying to why you

want to work for them I mean whether

it's a cover letter or just a little note

at the top of the page that

personalization really helps separate

them yes absolutely I've got CV's

or applications by email with no text

whatsoever to I can see they sent it to

my Academy to about twenty other academies I

oh no I just think bulksending

absolutely uninterested in working for

my yes you're just interested in you and

you expecting people to make the effort

to get in touch with you so straight in

the bin no yeah and it really I mean as

an employer that's hiring people this is

your livelihood it's your business and you

care about who is representing your

business and your brand so for us it's

really important that we hire the right

people and obviously someone who can't

take a minute to look at our company

really take the time to personalize it I

don't know that it's going to be a good

fit for me no absolutely no

you need no you got to go you've got to

always go the extra mile because there

are a hundred people applying for the

same job as you so you've got to stand

out you've got to be the best not just

good but you've got to be the best so

let's pretend now that this person gets

a job they have personalized their email

they've made an attractive resume to

attach to the email you see all of their

skills you think they're a good fit you

call them up and you have an interview

now what are some of the characteristics

that maybe would separate them

positively versus negatively during that

interview yeah well negatively I

have many stories I mean because all my

classes are all my interviews are via

Skype I mean the teachers are all over

the world so it's incredible

how many people just don't know how to

act in an interview

okay yeah it's via skype but it's still a

real interview so that I mean I've given

an interview to a guy who was lying on

his bed once I've given an interview to a

guy who had his cat with him he was

stroking his cat during an interview

that's distracting and awkward I just

thought would you take your cat to a

real interview no so don't bring your

cat to a Skype interview what else

yeah people just not preparing the

interview well and by that I mean yeah

if you're going to a physical interview

you would you would realize where the

place is you would make sure your car has

petrol to get there it's the same on

Skype make sure your laptop is plugged

in to the make sure you're in a part of

the house where it looks professional in

the background where you are not going

to be disturbed by family members or

pets during the interview and your

laptop isn't going to die right in the

middle of the interview because you know

yeah yeah just take the time plug it in

make sure I mean if the internet

disconnects or something that's beyond

your control yeah that's fine you know do everything

you can to try to make it be prepared

and I mean I would say even like I have

a cat and if if she came up into the

interview oh no the cat jumped up in

front of me it would be excuse me one

second my cat has decided to join me and

she's not part of this yeah yeah don't start

stroking exactly apologize I mean it's

it's all about preparation how serious

are you about the job and if you're

serious then you're prepared you've made

sure everything is perfect conditions

for the interview so that's right so you

can focus yeah are there I know for

me when I used to hire delivery drivers

for my delivery company I always had a

few questions that I asked that really

made the person think or I would ask

them the questions so that they could I

don't know it's almost like the answer

reveals

more than it seems do you have any

questions that you like to ask like this

in your interview? I do yeah I in fact

they're the first and the last question

I ask actually for me are the most

important and and I think as the

interviewee you should also treat the

always the first and the last question

as the most important because it's

the first impression and the last

impression it's you know the first

impressions are so important and the

last impression is what the interviewer

is going to remember more than anything

so it's very good to prepare the two

questions very well but my first

question is always what do you know

about me and online language academy? oh

good question so this is again it's a

bit of a test it's a bit of me seeing is

this person wasting my time or are they

serious about their application because

you know I'm basically asking have you

researched the company? do you know who I

am? you know do you know about what type

of classes we offer? have you been on the

website? have you do you care enough to

have spend half an hour navigating

around social media? and like are you

genuinely interested in working for us?

yeah because if you haven't been to the

website yet and you don't really know

what we do I don't know and you want to know

that they want to work for you for your

business not just for anybody but they

really want to work for your company and

if they do they've researched it so yeah that's

key that's really really good advice and I

mean I'm sure it's out there but really

when it's your business like if it's my

business and somebody you can tell

they've went through the website they've

looked at the pages they're talking

about some of the things some of the

finer details even where you're like wow

you know that's impressive especially to

the owner yeah oh my my I mean the

best the best answer I've had was one

one girl recently she was

she knew everything about the most

recent blog post we've done about blog

post I barely remembered I mean from

ages ago she really did extensive

research the worst also very recently I

said what do you know about the company?

and he said well I know that you teach

classes via Skype I think and I know and

I know that you pay x amount of euros

per class so basically yeah that the

pay he knew what the money was.. you read the add? yeah that's

definitely so something you should

definitely not do is walk into an

interview or have a Skype interview

without knowing anything about the

company that you're applying for a job

yeah okay and what's the last question

that you like to ask? okay so the last

one is have you got any questions? alright

which is a simple question and I

think every interviewer asks this but

what I'm actually asking is not have you

got any questions? I'm asking them well

I'm giving them basically an opportunity

to tell me how awesome they are alright

and how that everything we've

talked about in the interview that's

great but I'm giving them then an

opportunity to tell me more information

you know what extra can you do yes we've

talked about the fact that we for

example we teach business English

interview preparation conversation

classes but maybe in this in this part

they could say hey do me do you help

students prepare for IELTS and TOEFL

because I have extra experience doing

that and I've been here there I've

traveled to this country teaching this

teaching that it's a great way for them

to to give give more information about

how great they are that's right and it's

just opening up that dialogue or if they

do have a question or they want to know

more about the classes it might give

them an opportunity to

really talk about their specialty like

they could ask a question that would

really allow them to start explaining

how they can be an asset and how the way

they teach is unique or tell another

story or something that they didn't have

an opportunity to share during the job

interview yeah and let me tell you the

the best answer I got to this when I

said today it was really recently I said

have you got any questions and she said

to me what type of interviewer what type

of person are you hoping to hire? yeah

what is the what is the winning

applicant going to be like? and I said

woah okay I was not expecting so I said

okay so well obviously a great teacher

but apart from that I want this person

to to be professional I want them to

give a great image of online language

academy you're an ambassador for the

Academy as well as a teacher and I want

you to go the extra mile and that means

yes you're teaching classes via Skype

but not just that I want you to you know

go the extra mile give the students what

they need what they want and more and

and and she said wow that that's me that

you ah nice! that's good that's a really really good trick

because I I think when you're an

interviewee and you're in that situation

and sometimes the person on the other

side of the interview the interviewer

and they're a little bit you can you

don't know what they're thinking they

have their poker face on yeah and you

give them an answer and they write down

some notes and they make you kind of

nervous and you're like okay was that a

good note so you might be able to say

you know by throwing that answer back

can you tell me what your ideal

candidate looks like it again gives you

that opportunity to really sell yourself

and

promote the skills that you have and how

you are that person that they're looking

for yeah it was an absolutely winning

interview I came out of that interview

with a big big smile on my face I

remember yeah speaking to my wife

afterwards and I said to my wife I said

there's just one more thing that she needs

to do in order to be the perfect

candidate nice and that was and what was that? and that was

top tip after the interview I always

recommend just writing a simple quick

email to the person who interviewed you

just saying okay thank you for your time

if you've got any questions just let me

know and I appreciate the opportunity

that you're giving me you know just just

a short email but it just proves that

I've talked about going the extra mile

and it's a great example of that you

know yes I expect you to come to the

interview and and give a good interview

but an extra is the nice little

email afterwards and it just shows it was really

nice to meet you thank you for the

opportunity I'm looking forward to

hearing from you or something like that

exactly yeah and it just shows they're

really nice person good manners

professional they care about the job and

that they will go the extra mile to get

the job and that is a winning

thing for me it really is well so yeah I

think these are some really really great

tips for people for how to

handle a job interview and really get

through the first part have success

during the interview and for me I tend

to get nervous well I used to get

nervous during job interviews do you

have any advice for for people to deal

with their nerves? because this isn't

their first language likely and it can

be pretty intimidating trying to do a

difficult interview in English when it's

not your first language yeah I mean

interviews are

nerve-racking they make you nervous in

your language yeah but in a foreign

language it's it's even worse it's like yeah woah

so two main things you should the

first question is always usually the

same hi how are you? tell me a little bit

about yourself yeah so just visualize

this moment visualize yourself going to

the interview visualize yourself shaking

their hand sitting down do it in your mind

time and again and answer that first

question a million times in your mind

because if you if you've done it so many

times in your mind then when you do it

in reality it's easy you've been there

you've done it you know what you're

going to say you know what you want to say

you know how you're going to act so it

really helps calm the nerves at the

beginning of the interview just to get

you through the first few seconds where

you just walk in and you're like oh my

god my palms sweaty I just wiped it

off shake their hand sit down how are

you doing? I'm good and by the time

you're there your anxiety is already

going down and you can start focusing on

the new questions that you're not sure

yeah what you're going to have to answer

yeah that first question is just getting

getting rid of the nerves really and and

then and then the yeah the following

questions great prepare them I mean

you know the typical questions that

they're going to give you in an

interview and you can practice those

with a native English teacher you know

practice them with that's we help many

students prepare interviews and we go

through all the typical questions that

they ask we go through their CV as

well make sure you're able to expand on

everything that is written on your CV

because the interviewer will ask you

about about that and how they can

connect that back to the job that

they're applying for yeah you know even

if it's a completely unrelated job if

you can prepare the answer

in your head in English obviously about

the experience that's on your resume it

can help it come out a little bit easier

and you've already thought about how

past experience could possibly relate to

this job everything we do we learn from

even if it's not the same industry

right? yeah and that relating to this job

is a positive and you always want to

finish every answer on a positive note

you want to talk about your experiences

which is a great way to speak more

fluently by the way if you're speaking

about past experiences you're speaking

from you're speaking from the heart that's right and

not too much from you're not too the grammar brain

yeah the grammar brain yeah yeah so it really

helps you speak fluently and yeah and

then use that example to relate to how

you can help the company based on your

past experience that's a great tip yeah do you have

do you have any other advice for helping

people with their nerves in interviews?

is there anything else they can do? yeah I

think and I talked about the visualize

in it before but I think the best thing

you can do is practice the

interview beforehand and practice it

with somebody who you are really really

really uncomfortable oh no doing it with yeah so

that makes me nervous just thinking about

it oh my the way I used to do it with my

dad like I used to practice interviews

with my dad for work interviews

at university I studied French and

Spanish and Italian actually so I had

lots and lots of oral exams and I always

used to practice the oral exam with a

friend a classmate okay and it was just

the worst so so embarrassing and awkward

you feel terrible but yeah you can do it

with them then when we interview comes

it's easy it's easy because you don't

know this person and you've been through

you've broken that that barrier of fear

and embarrassment and anxiety that you

feel you've already been through it you

didn't want to talk to this person

you've been through that experience and

now you're like okay this is just

someone I don't know it's okay yeah it's a

great great tip so yeah do it with yeah

your friend your neighbor your

mom whoever whoever you feel the worst

doing it with do it with that person

yeah and it'll be a breeze it'll be easy

when the big interview comes

yeah maybe it could be I mean if they're

already a student with you and

they're doing the preparation for their

job interview maybe it would be better

to have it with a new teacher that

they've never worked with or something

just to create that circumstance where

okay this is someone I don't know i'm

going to practice with this person I yeah that's a great idea it really

is and yeah we've had that sometimes I had a

had a student last week actually write

to me saying I want I've got my

interview on Friday I want an interview

practice with a different teacher every

day of the week so I can you know do

that so I can feel like I'm speaking to

somebody new I'm not familiar with their

accent and they had different accents

every week every day until the interview

Wow well that's that's a good

challenging preparation but it's true

you don't know who the person doing the

interview you don't know how they're

going to speak or what their

personalities like so by exposing

yourself to different situations like

that it really prepares you to be able

to interact with anybody and be more

versatile that's great I really like

this conversation this some great advice

whether you're learning english or just

applying for a job in general so I think

there's a lot to learn here I guess

i just want to make sure that we remind

everybody please give us a thumbs up on

this video we really want to get a like

and leave a comment if you have made any

of these mistakes or maybe other tips

that you have that people

should never do in a job interview yes

please please share it with everybody

you know because it's it's it's

incredible it really is incredible how many

people need a job and how many bad

applications I get and I'm sure all

other employers get hundreds of bad

applications so that's right share it with your

friends and let's help your friends get a job yeah

you know anybody who's applying

for a job that speaks English or is

learning English preparing to try to get

a job in an english-speaking country

this would be a very valuable video so

good point and send them the link share

it with them spread the word and yeah

subscribe to our channels of course and

I think that that's it it was really

nice talking to you Greg thank you so

much for the advice yeah thanks for

having us Amy we'll speak soon I

hope okay alright we'll see yeah

see yeah bye for now ciao!

Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness | Nintendo 64 Review - Duration: 13:09.

Hey, what's up? Wes here, thanks a lot for tuning in.

So, I recently played through Castlevania 64 after not touching it for eighteen years,

basically because I completely despised it, and it was actually the subject of my latest

episode of 'I Haven't Played This Game in Years'.

In fact, it seems like I just reviewed it yesterday….

"The camera will even turn on you in mid-jump.

C'mon! Gimmie a fuckin' break!"

"Oh, good lord!"

"Let's be honest here.

A game that's challenging because of broken cameras and terrible jumping mechanics is

not a good game.

These faults stick out horribly like a gangrenous thumb, and arguably ruins the entire experience."

Anyway, Castlevania 64, back in the day is the reason why I completely avoided Legacy of

Darkness like it were church, and I actually enjoyed Castlevania 64 a lot more this time

around, so it encouraged me to pick up Legacy of Darkness—and I got a helluva deal on

it, too.

So, is it as good as Castlevania 64?

Is it better?

Is it worse?

How does it hold up?

Let's take a look.

Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness was released in North America on November 30th, 1999—only

ten short months after the original Castlevania was for the Nintendo 64.

Legacy of Darkness resembles more of what the developers at Konami had originally envisioned

with Castlevania 64—including a campaign starring a man-wolf named Cornell, which was

scrapped from the initial game to avoid release delays.

Cornell arrives at his hometown only to find it engulfed in flames, and his adoptive sister,

Ada, kidnapped, in order to be used as a sacrifice to resurrect Dracula.

Cornell retrieves her pendant, and using his wolf abilities, tracks Ada by her scent.

Cornell's adventure takes place eight years before Reinhardt Schneider and Carrie Fernandez's,

and serves as a prequel to Castlevania 64.

The quest begins with Cornell embarking on a haunted ship en route to Wallachia, where

we reach familiar ground in a remade setting of Castlevania 64's first stage.

Legacy of Darkness utilizes Nintendo's Expansion Pak, culminating in crisper and sharper visuals,

while at the same time, unfortunately, compromising the game's frame-rate, resulting in some

choppy gameplay.

This bothered the hell out of me initially, but the game does allows you to select high

or low resolution each time you turn the system on.

Playing in low resolution fixes the frame-rate issue, but unfortunately, the fog which plagued

Castlevania 64 is abundantly present here as well, and I decided that the choppy frame-rate

was the lesser of two evils.

Here's a side-by-side comparison.

What do you think?

The forest is aesthetically comparable to its Castlevania 64 counterpart, but that's

where the similarities end.

The layouts are completely different, making it much easier to navigate this time around.

The enemies consist of the same skeletons with additional baddies present, such as fishmen,

and the boss is the same from Castlevania 64 with slightly different attacks.

The next stage is a return to the castle wall where you can, oh my god, adjust the camera!

Hallelujah!

It's amazing how much a difference a somewhat, efficiently functioning camera can make in

a game.

The camera is such a huge improvement over its predecessor; that the difference is night

and day.

If you hated the camera in Castlevania 64 like I did, then you'll be absolutely ecstatic

to know that it's been fixed here.

While not perfect by any means, compared to how broken it was before, I can't really

complain.

Many of the stages in Castlevania 64 return in this one, and while some of those have

been completely overhauled—including the Duel Tower, thank god—some remain exactly

the same, such as the Villa.

Since the game takes place eight years prior to that of its predecessor, Legacy of Darkness

requires new puzzles to be solved, and new obstacles to overcome.

While Castlevania 64 consists of ten stages, it would seem extremely cheap if Legacy had

the same amount, with many of them just being rehashes.

Put those concerns at ease, cuz Cornell's campaign is made up of fourteen stages, with

several new and refreshing maps such as The Outer Wall, and the extremely disorienting

Tower of Ruins.

I actually had to draw a map to get through this stage.

Yeah, a map.

When was the last time I had to draw a map for a game?

Sure it looks janky as hell, but hey, I couldn't have made it through this stage without it.

While many of the settings are the same as that of Castlevania 64, the stages are "remixed"

enough to where it feels like completely different levels.

While I do prefer some of the layouts in parts of the original stages versus the new ones,

ultimately the sacrifice of a halfway decent camera from the original annuls the sometimes

less-favorable layouts of the newer stages.

It's really no contest.

For me, gameplay will always supersede somewhat more desirable maps.

Legacy of Darkness, while for the most part is almost a 100% improvement over its predecessor,

for some reason decided to fix one of the few things that Castlevania 64 actually got

right.

In Castlevania 64, the lock-on feature will automatically home in on the nearest enemy,

regardless of which direction you're facing.

Not anymore.

In Legacy, you have to be facing the enemy nearest to you in order to lock-on.

While this isn't that big of a deal, it does soil one of the few pearls that can be

unearthed from a mountain of shit that makes up a majority of Castlevania 64.

Growing up with a father whose favorite hobby was to fix things that weren't broken, I

have a profound disdain for the "If it ain't broke, fix it" mentality.

But hey, that's just me.

One thing that Legacy did get right though, is adding some new music tracks to the game,

including a remixed version of one my all-time favorite Castlevania tunes, "The Sinking

Old Sanctuary", which first appeared in Bloodlines.

The bosses are also changed up from the original, with Cornell at one point confronting his

long-time acquaintance and rival, Ortega.

His boss battle replaces the encounter between Death and Reinhardt on top of the clock tower,

with Ortega transforming into a bloodthirsty chimera.

The Clock Tower is like three times the size of the original, with brand new obstacles

to overcome.

Thankfully, the save crystals in Legacy of Darkness are generously placed throughout

the game, as opposed to Castlevania 64.

Notch one more improvement for Legacy.

Add another with the ability to now power up your sub weapons up to three times stronger

than when initially obtained.

Now that's Castlevania!

And seeing as Cornell is a man-beast, the ability to transform into a wolf using the

L button can also be utilized here.

Now, if I didn't have the instruction manual, I would've never known that this feature

even existed since nowhere in the game does it tell you that you can do this.

Since it completely drains you of your crystals, which is the ammo for your sub-weapons, I

never used it, except for the final boss.

While Konami should have figured out a better way to use what could have otherwise been

a really cool additional gameplay mechanic, taking wolf-form unfortunately is a big swing

and a miss.

But like I said, I may have never known about it to begin with, so it's not really a big

deal at all.

And that's Castlevania Legacy of Darkness.

The game that Castlevania 64 should've been.

If you're only gonna play one of these games, Legacy of Darkness is definitely the way to

go.

Wait!

Where are you going?

There's more.

A shit-ton more.

After completing Legacy of Darkness with Cornell, you then unlock Henry, a child rescued earlier

in Cornell's campaign.

Henry returns as an adult, festooned with armor and packing heat.

How awesome is it running through Wallachia blasting monsters back to hell with a six-shooter?!

Pretty freakin' sweet, let me tell ya. Henry is set on a quest to rescue six children hidden

throughout as many stages, with a time limit of seven days to complete.

The children are cleverly hidden, and each youngling you save unlocks a new feature in

the game, including Reinhardt and Carrie's campaigns.

That's right.

Basically the entirety of Castlevania 64 is packed within Legacy of Darkness' tiny cart,

with the original stages replaced with the remixed ones, of course.

Reinhardt's quest throughout the dark caves is present here, now with a boss battle against

against a giant spider.

Carrie's plight through the Waterway is here as well, as is her climb up the Tower

of Science.

And some of our favorites return as well, such as—

Let's not start that shit again!

Castlevania Legacy of Darkness is what Castlevania 64 should've been.

Konami scrapped Cornell and Henry from the original in order to shit out an unpolished

product to appease ravenous fans and critics alike, who had been waiting patiently through

delay after delay to get their hands on Castlevania's first foray into the 3D realm.

In a practice that would become commonplace for Konami in the ensuing years, they screwed

over their loyal fanbase and unloaded a huge dump upon us, and then rectified that mess

with the game that they had originally intended—at full price!

C'mon, Konami!

I would have loved to have seen Konami take full responsibility for this disaster, by

exchanging copies of Castlevania 64 for Legacy of Darkness, plus a small fee of course, to

give the fans what they had truly deserved from the beginning.

Of course, Dracula would've had a better chance with a holiday in the sun than that

ever happening, but what the hell?

I could use yet another reason to resent Konami wholeheartedly.

Meh, whatever.

It's in the past now.

But make no bones about it.

If you only want to experience one Castlevania game on the Nintendo 64, make sure that it's

Legacy of Darkness.

Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness is a great game!

Everything that was wrong with Castlevania 64 was pretty much fixed here.

So, this is definitely the way to go.

If you avoided Legacy of Darkness like I did, because you didn't want to go through another

Castlevania 64, don't worry, this one is WAY better.

Way better.

So, if you've played Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness, what do you think of it?

I highly recommend it.

If you're a Castlevania fan and haven't played it yet, take a look at this one.

It's pretty good.

So anyway, thanks a lot for checking out this review, I hope you enjoyed it.

Until next time, I will catch you all later.

How To Find The Perfect Partner For A Side Project? - Duration: 7:02.

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

I got a question about, "Should I find a side partner for a side project?"

That's a lot different than the question of "Should I find a side partner for a project?"

A side partner is a different thing.

We'll talk about that later.

All right, so the question is—the second question.

This must have been a long email that I cut.

The second question considering side projects, "I was wondering if I should find someone

with whom I could do a project together as I believe that would be more motivating.

However, from my friends and former course mates, no one seems to be too interested.

I was trying online, but most of those communities are quite small, so it's very difficult to

find anybody.

And FounderDating seems to be too serious.

I don't want to create a startup right away.

So I thought maybe your community is large enough, there are like-minded people and you

could set up a forum for us, where we could also be a sort of a "project fair" where we

could discuss ideas, give feedback and find teammates."

So I'm not going to set up a forum right now, but I will consider that.

I think that's a decent idea.

I want to talk about the idea of "Should you find a partner for a side project" and how

you might do that and kind of the value of that.

I'm a big fan of finding a partner for a side project simply because it becomes boring to

do something by yourself and you need that kind of support and community.

I'm very fortunate in that in Simple Programmer I've brought on a partner which is Josh Earl.

He does a lot of the copywriting.

By the time you're watching this video, he might actually be a full partner in the company

where we've got an arrangement together, but I did find that I was locked in an office

by myself all the time just like recording videos and writing blogposts and I was going

a little bit crazy doing that by myself all the time.

It is nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of, to have a mission that you're—it

helped me to take things to the next level to be able to have someone that shares the

vision, that you're charging together towards.

I think that's really important and I feel like I might have given up or maybe not given

up, but I wouldn't have gotten where I am today with Simple Programmer had I not brought

on Josh as a partner.

That's just my experience with that and I've seen so many projects fail and so many people

fail because they lose momentum.

Especially, I can remember when I first started lifting weights, when I first started working

out.

One of the best things that I did was I got a weightlifting partner, and that kept me

motivated and we kept each other motivated because sometimes one of us wouldn't want

to go to the gym, but you got to show up because the other guy is there at 5 AM waiting for

you so you got to go, right?

That's how it works with side projects as well, I think, is that if you can find someone

dedicated.

Now, here's the key and it's the same key that I said with the gym, was that you got

to find someone dedicated that's actually going to follow through and show up, because

a lot of—majority of people if you got a weightlifting partner, they're not going to

be dependable and they're not going to show up.

I found—I've had different weightlifting partners as I've been lifting and I have always

found people that were like as committed as I was that are at least as close to as committed

as I was.

I know they're going to show up and they're not going to flake out on me because they

could actually, by being more of a flake, make me more of a flake and make me miss workouts

and fail.

You got to have someone that's going to back you up that's sort of at that level, and I

think that's where a lot of people that try to bring on partners into side projects fail

is they have these ideas and no one is really committed to it.

You got to be committed to it and you got to find someone else who is committed to it.

If your friends just think, "Oh, it would be kind of cool to make a game," no.

Bullshit.

It wouldn't be kind of cool to make a game like it would be cool if we're going to devote

4 hours every day to making a game and we're both going to commit to this.

That would be cool because then you'll actually make a game and you won't just bullshit all

the time and never accomplish anything, right?

There's a real big value in becoming a finisher.

I did this blogpost a while back on becoming a finisher.

It was a life changer for me.

Read this blogpost but if you start this project, you want to finish it.

I think there's a lot of value in it.

If you can't find a partner for a side project, just do it yourself or start it yourself.

You can always bring someone on later when it has momentum.

I know that one of the things like—very often I will get invited to side projects

that people were "starting," but they had so little momentum that I just didn't trust

that they were actually going to follow through and do something, so I never joined them.

I have actually helped some people with side projects that have already gotten things going

and then I could jump in and help out, and I could see that they're actually dedicated.

That will also help you as well if you're looking for serious partners, is that if you

already have some momentum going.

Yeah, I don't know of any really good sites that—I think the Founder Partner or FounderDating,

I think the problem with that is that most of those people are looking for big funding

startup, venture capital money.

They want to do the big startup thing and that's cool, but it doesn't sound like what

you want to—you just want to do a side project.

Yeah.

I would say that either it will be helpful if you can find a partner, but either find

a partner that's going to be committed or just do it yourself.

Whatever you do, don't get flaked.

If you bring flakes on, it's going to make you flake and the whole thing is going to

be bad and it's just going to be a waste of your time and frustration.

I've done it too many times.

So there.

I hope that helps you and I hope you're able to find a partner.

If you want to coordinate on this video and find some partners for some side projects,

leave some comments below.

You know you guys can coordinate and I'll help facilitate that as I can.

Maybe I'll do a forum or something.

I mean if you really want that like thumbs up this video and leave a comment and say,

"Damn it, John.

Make a damn forum."

We'll see.

I can't make any promises, but if I get enough momentum then maybe I'll do it.

All right.

If you like this video, if you haven't subscribed already, click that Subscribe button below.

You might not be able to find a co-founder or a partner for your side project, but you

could find a lot of like-minded people here at Simple Programmer.

A lot of people just like you that are motivated that want to improve their lives and want

to improve their careers, and don't want to be mediocre.

Join if you haven't already.

Click that Subscribe button and I'll talk to you next time.

Take care.
