When a child enters your life, you want to keep this happy and this healthy forever.
During my practice as a dietician in hospitals and clinics, I was moved by all the suffering
I saw.
Then, when my first grandchild was born, I held him in my arms and I thought, how can
I protect him.
Inspired by all of this, I invented Frugivoro in Fruityland and with the help of my daughter,
we set out to create a different story.
The truth is, we have the power to change how we taste and see food.
The problem is that the junk food industry controls that narrative knowing full well
that early habits are likely to last a lifetime.
On average, a child sees a hundred commercials for junk food every week but not a single
one for fruits and vegetables.
What would happen if we use the same techniques to fall in love with healthy foods instead.
What if we also used play, fun characters, colorful settings, humor, and intrigue but
dramatically changed the message.
Frugivoro is a mischievous wolf who's out to steal Fruityland's delicious foods.
The trivia improves their memory, they get to explore awesome foods, they learn about
vitamins and minerals and winning the cape puts them on top of the world.
They love it.
Turns out they're not the only ones.
But, is changing how our kids see food even possible?
A study found that putting carrots in a McDonald's wrapper made kids think they taste better.
Of course, the McDonald's brand carries a lot of weight, but what about promotion without
the power of a junk food brand?
This solution is doable.
It is fun and it's easy.
Which is why we're so excited to make this dream a reality.
This game is easy to set up and while they're learning and having fun.
Frugivoro!
By the end they're more likely to eat their veggies because they want to not 'cause they
have to.
We've poured everything we have into making this prototype we found a manufacturer all
we need is your help because without you there's no way we stand a chance against a multi billion
dollar industry.
With your help, this amazing game can be in your home, in your local library, in schools
- everywhere.
Empowering children to create their own path of good health and happiness.
You are our heroes.
Thank you so much for watching.
Thank you.
