This is How The Moon Affects Our Subconscious - Duration: 4:33.

This is How The Moon Affects Our Subconscious

BY GOSTICA

This is How The Moon Affects Our Subconscious

We exist in a universe where everything is connected.

The nature that surrounds us, for example, has a powerful connection to human beings.

Aside from the fact that it is our main source of food, the way nature behaves creates an

impact to our bodily functions.

A simple example can be experienced when you are taking an early morning stroll out in

the open.

It puts you in a better mood, doesnt it?

Thats because the suns ultraviolet rays stimulate the flow of hormones in our body.

However, not all effects caused by natures behavior are positive.

Some of them can take a negative toll on us.

Numerous studies have been conducted on the effects of the moon to human beings.

In each, they were able to discover that the moon has various effects to the human mind,

both scientifically and spiritually.

The moon and our subconscious

Our subconscious is a doorway to multitudes of memories, insights, images and other forms

of impressions that we have accumulated over the years.

Moreover, it generates a high frequency which is relatively higher than that produced by

the moon.

Meditating on a full moon night can help us in several ways, Ancient yogis and Tibetan

monks have been known to meditate on full moon night and able to explore the powers

of subconscious mind.

Ordinarily it takes a lot of energy and meditation and concentration in order to explore and

heal our subconscious, but Full moon has powerful energies and spiritual practitioners including

Wicca and Pagans have been known for using this energy.

It is believed that Buddha attained enlightenment by meditating Vipassana Meditation on full

moon night.

In several studies, the frequencies emanated by the moon are discovered to have an effect

on the thought frequencies in our subconscious mind.

They make our subconscious surface to the conscious mind, bringing along with it all

the imprints that we have stored in it unnecessary and necessary; positive and negative.

Their combined surge to the conscious mind can be overwhelming and can cause a person

to act crazy and mindless or feel energetic and powerful.

The moon and our physical bodies

Some studies have found strong evidence that the moon affects our sleeping patterns.

The evidence was based on a study that involved 33 adult volunteers of different age groups

who were put under observation as they slept for several nights in a sleep lab.

The researchers studied and observed the brain activity, eye movements and hormone levels

of the volunteers.

They discovered that on nights closer to moon days, volunteers take an average of five minutes

longer to ease into sleep, and their sleeping hours are cut short by 20 minutes.

Additionally, their melatonin (sleep regulating hormones) levels dropped compared to other

nights.

This information uncovers the fact that on full moon nights, people are prone to experiencing

insomnia because of extra energy.

Knowing the effects of the moon, we can use it to our own advantage instead of letting

it have a negative effect on our vibrations.

In nights where a new moon graces the night sky, our unconscious surface through and we

can use this time to cleanse our overactive mind.

We should not use natural phenomena as an excuse to give in to our bodys natural

response.

Instead, we should always work for towards the improvement of our self.

The Organs of Homeostasis (Biology for O'Level) - Duration: 2:22.

hi guys my name is Sharmin jahan. I'm

your biology teacher. Today I am going to

talk about the organs of homeostasis.

your skin helps keep your body within 1

degree Celsius either side of 37 degree

Celsius and Sweat glands let your

body lose excess heat and cool down and

layer of fat under your skin helps keep

heat inside your body and the Shivering

action of muscles generates extra heat to

warm you up in cold weather and the

fur of hairy animals traps a layer

of warm air next to the skin like the

clothes you wear and without clothes, your body

can only keep at 37 degrees Celsius in

the year temperature stays above 27

degree Celsius and you liver and

pancreas together control the amount of

glucose in your blood and tissue fluid.

If the glucose level falls below normal

and glands in the pancreas and

produced the hormone glucagon this

is which makes the liver release glucose

into the blood if there is too much

glucose in the blood these glands

release the hormone insulin which makes

that liver and remove glucose from the

blood the liver also controls the amount

of amino acids, and removes poison

from blood and these are and it makes

heat to help keep the body warm and

your kidneys this is I keep a blood and

tissue food clean by removing urea

and access water and other wastes, and

excreting them and these controls the

amount of amount of dissolved substance

in the blood and tissue fluid a process

called awesome regulations so guys I

hope that's all. Thank you very much

The politics of climate change - Duration: 5:41.

If the worlds' governments could act without any concern about how their people would respond,

we would be fixing this problem now.

I mean, if Obama could sign a treaty and not worry about the domestic reaction in the United

States, he would sign a treaty.

If the Chinese government could sign a treaty and not worry the loss of the high speed of

growth economically they now have, and the popular reaction when the economy is not growing

at ten per cent every year, they would sign a treaty.

In both cases, they understand.

And they understand that in the long run, this is disastrous, but they have to live

in the short run.

The regime must survive in China, Obama has to get re-elected.

And so things they know should be done, don't get done.

That is the political problem.

And if we could just get around the political problem, that technical problem of stopping

climate change would not be impossible.

Nothing is easy, but it would not be impossible, and it would not be impossibly expensive.

I think it could be done.

Over a period of 30 years we could get our emissions down by 70 per cent, worldwide,

and that would be enough.

You still have to get rid of the other 30 per cent, or sooner or later you will cross

the barrier, but you have a lot more time after that.

In practice, you can get about one third of the emissions out of the average Western economy

before you have to change your lifestyle.

More fuel-efficient cars, better heating for cities and towns and buildings, the usual

things that we are all urged to do, that will get about a third of the emissions down.

I'm afraid you can't stop using the other two-thirds of the energy you use.

You do have to keep the lights on, you do have to run a transportation system, you do

have to heat the greenhouses if you plan to grow the plants, you do have to heat the houses

in the winter.

These are high-energy societies, it is a high-energy civilization we have created, and it will

live or die as a high-energy civilization.

So all of the 'live lightly upon the planet' technologies, while they help a little bit,

don't really address the problem.

The only way you solve the problem, for the long term, is to change the way you generate

your energy.

You've got to get out of fossil fuels, you've got to go to the so-called renewables - wind,

solar, tidal, wave power , and then there is geothermal and there is nuclear, and one

of these days there may be fusion.

But you've got to go to those and stop burning the fossil fuels.

Otherwise you are going to go through the two degrees, and then you are on that escalator

with no necessary stopping point.

That is physically doable, it is just politically very hard to do.

Green technologies that simply reduce our emissions a little bit, or our use of energy

a little bit, are helpful, but they are not the solution.

If that is all we do, we are doomed.

We do have to address the central issue: How do you generate your power, what keeps those

lights on?

And the answer is: A fairly high-energy society.

So that means going to the renewables, to nuclear, to geothermal, to whatever, as long

as it doesn't produce greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide, methane, it's all right with me.

I don't have preferences.

Let the market decide.

But that is what is got to happen.

If you're someone who uses solar panels , wind turbines or other alternative energy

devices, the EZ battery reconditioning course will show you where you can get free or dirt-cheap

used deep cycle batteries that you can recondition and use to store your alternative energy system's

power.

This will completely eliminate the need to buy any new overpriced batteries for your

system's battery bank, saving you thousands of dollars; Click the link below now and right

after that you will be given instant access to the reconditioning guides.

Django Unchained [Movie Review] - Duration: 5:09.

Hello, and thank you Hello, and thank you for tuning in to Noire Histoir.

I'm Natasha and today I'll be reviewing "Django Unchained".

"Django Unchained" is a movie set two years before the Civil War and tells the story of

a slave named Django (Jamie Foxx).

Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), seeks out Django's help with identifying and hunting

down a trio of wanted criminals.

In exchange, Schultz promises Django his freedom

and the opportunity to save his wife from bondage.

Django pretends to be a free man to avoid arousing suspicion.

The first bit of business is dressing the part and Django is excited by the small but

meaningful opportunity to choose his own clothes.

He selects a blue suit, white ruffle shirt, and white stockings.

(Imagine a cross between the "Seinfeld Pirate blouse" and Prince's shirts v. blouses

outfit from The Dave Chappelle Show skit).

The duo finds the criminals and engages them in a gun-slinging showdown that leads to a

slapstick nighttime Klan-like meeting.

Django and Dr. Schultz pursue more bounties while working on a plan to find and rescue

Django's wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington).

And therein lies the problem with the movie.

Quentin Tarantino handles the bounty hunting parts of the film well.

But, he loses his mojo when the story shifts to the rescue of Broomhilda.

During the film's promotion, Kerry Washington lauded the film as being different because

it's about the rescue of a Black woman.

This plot device is often used but rarely with regards to Black female characters.

Black women are often portrayed as having

a super-human ability to cope with and overcome struggles.

This diminishes the feelings of Black women and our ability to experience pain.

It strips away our humanity by portraying us as beasts of burden who can carry the responsibilities

of the world without feeling the weight.

Throughout much of "Django Unchained" Broomhilda is only seen through a series of flashbacks

intended to show why she's worthy of rescue.

Broomhilda is Django's wife and they're separated by the injustice of slavery.

That's enough justification for explaining why he'd want to rescue her.

Yet, instead of fleshing out the character, we get repetitive scenes of torture.

"Django Unchained" steps outside the norm by not portraying Broomhilda as a superwoman.

But, it falls short of being unique by not portraying her as a person either.

Tarantino seems to say to the audience, "I'm going to torture this woman so you don't

forget the reason for this rescue mission.

And that this movie is about slavery which was bad."

Way to go Captain Obvious.

It's heavy handed and doesn't add to the story.

Django and Dr. Shultz, learn that the owner of a large Mississippi plantation has purchased Broomhilda.

We first meet the slaver, Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), in a men's club.

He is watching and cheering on the brutality of a Mandingo fight in the surroundings of a fancy club.

The setup is a spot-on representation of both Candie and slavery in the South.

A false genteel veneer that masks cruelty and inhumanity.

Candie is the obvious villain and DiCaprio received great reviews for his performance.

But, I thought Stephen (Samuel L. Jackson) the busybody house slave overshadowed Candie.

Stephen was detestable and Jackson played him well.

Stephen would often interrupt conversations or utter bits of nonsense.

I hoped that one of the other characters would either karate chop him in the throat

or kick away his cane.

Annoying?

Aggravating?

Those terms do not begin to describe Stephen.

He's that kid who would tattle about every and anything.

But, he's grown up to be a cold-hearted and miserable old man that nobody visits because

he was always such a jerk.

Stephen is a character you will love to hate.

And he was the bright spot in the last 30 to 45 minutes of the movie as it descended

into overdone cartoonish violence.

Tarantino is a well-regarded director but his movies have a tendency to go off the rails.

Tarantino's films are violent, it's kind of what he's known for.

I don't have a problem with violence in film or literature as long as it's relevant to the story.

But Tarantino overindulged here and it turned a unique concept into childish fantasies.

What could have been a great story ended up taking a back seat to over-the-top violence.

"Django Unchained" is pretty much a western set during slavery.

You'll enjoy "Django Unchained" if you like westerns and are into gunfights and bandits.

There's also a bit of romance as Django's motivation through much of the film is his

desire to save his wife.

I had high hopes for "Django Unchained".

The majority of "Django Unchained" lived up to my expectations

but it started falling apart towards the end.

It would have been a better film if Tarantino had developed the characters and the story

instead of relying on gimmicks.

But, if you're a fan of Tarantino's work or like a lot of special effects you might

actually enjoy the ending.

If you've already seen "Django Unchained", I'd love to know what you thought about the movie.

We're here to talk about the Revit

microdermabrasion device.

Microdermabrasion removes dead skin

cells from the surface of your skin.

It's super easy! It also comes with three

heads. Microdermabrasion uses a diamond

tip exfoliator and it also uses a gentle

vacuum suction. Hold it like a pencil and

go in an upward motion. You want to do

about two or three passes in each area.

What it's doing is exfoliated the

area and it's drawing up all those dead

skin cells that have turned over. The

other thing that it's doing is the

vacuum suction is actually stimulating

your blood circulation. So it's going to

give your skin a nice rosy glow. So how

does your skin feel Callie? It feels smooth!

How much trouble is Labour in? - Duration: 0:30.

The latest opinion polls don't make happy reading for Labour, with the Conservatives

now 18 points ahead.

But at least it's not as bad as the 1983 election - that was, after all, Labour's post-war low point.

Actually, it's worse.

Labour did better under Michael Foot than polls suggest they are doing now.

And on May 4th that could see Labour lose ground, when really they ought to be making gains.

Eliminate Harmful Thoughts - Duration: 2:08.

Eliminate Harmful Thoughts If we learn to analyse our thoughts in the

manner explained above, if we can trace the root-cause motivating a thought,

we can correctly assess the consequences of that thought and

decide whether it should be allowed to gather strength and fructify

into action, or should be eliminated at the outset.

If one is certain that a particular thought will create problems and

result in pain if it is allowed to develop, then one should think clearly

and repeatedly of the adverse consequences.

This will imprint them deeply in the mind.

If this process is followed with firmness within,

the thought about the adverse consequences will also arise simultaneously

and weaken the harmful thought.

The result will be that the harmful thought will gradually subside altogether.

By employing this method, one can gradually eliminate all harmful

thoughts and allow only creative thoughts to develop.

This is a simple practice which will improve the character,

and ultimately, one's personality.

Remember, the character of an individual is decided by

the quality and texture of his thoughts.

Practise this method of purifying and streamlining the mind.

Make the mind a potent instrument.

And teach this method to others as well.

For it is the best way of serving your fellow men.

BabyStat - A Simple Tool to Combat the Complicated Issue of Low Birthweight - Duration: 3:09.

- [Narrator] Low birth weight is the leading

cause of infant mortality.

Complications can appear later in adulthood,

including diabetes, heart disease,

and many psychological disorders.

Each year, over 315,000 babies

are born with the condition.

There is an associated cost of 20 to $52,000

for each low birth weight newborn

in the first year of life alone.

In the US, the in-hospital cost due

to low birthrate is 18 billion,

which is 12 times the net worth

of the entire Starbucks franchise.

Once later complications are factored in,

the costs of low birth weight increase

astronomically, and escalate to a societal problem

that needs to be treated.

While it seems like low birth weight

is caused by the mother, external factors

also play a part, including behavioral,

socioeconomic, and environmental factors.

With factors like toxins in the environment

that are beyond a mother's control,

the health of an infant can be largely influenced

by the policies of the community they live in.

Good policy comes from good data

that supports the importance of issues

and the value of their solution.

But what if policy makers don't have

easy access to that data, as is the case

with low birth weight?

And that's where Baby Stat can help.

Our tool, Baby Stat, is the first publicly-available

health surveillance system targeted

at policy makers to monitor low birth weight

in their local communities.

The solution involves a friendly user interface

that can be accessed for free on the web,

a secured back-end server to host data,

and the ability to display past

and predicted low birth weight

and very low birth weight rates on both

a yearly and monthly basis.

These predictions are calculated

through models that determine the impact

of environmental factors within a community.

With this information and the county's economic

information, the tool conducts an economic

impact analysis, which includes complications

and in-hospital costs due to low birth weight.

After seeing the anticipated impact

of low birth weight on a community,

the policy maker can implement common interventions,

such as increasing burn efficiency

to see its economic impact on reducing low birth weight.

Our current proof of concept software prototype

has modeled environmental and economic correlation

to low birth weight with 70% accuracy.

Once the tool is on the web for free,

the tool will be open for feedback

from a diverse pool of users from all over the country,

providing us the feedback we need

to improve the tool and improve

the lives of others.

For such a historically complicated problem,

Baby Stat is a simple solution.

If you are a policy maker investigating

new ways to make evidence-based decisions

for your community, we encourage you

to explore using Baby Stat to provide

us with your feedback.

With your feedback, our team can improve

Baby Stat to reduce the negative impact

of low birth weight in your community

and across the nation.

The girls like Hector because he is...pure.

And Nick likes Hector because he is rich.

And Hector likes Nick because he is one crazy guy.

Stand by for Extra.

But I can't live without you.

I love you.

I love you too, but it's for the best. It's finished.

Oh! Oh, darling, no. I'll die without you.

Ohh. She can't!

No, she can't. He's too good- looking.

And her husband is so awful.

I'm sorry. I'm more sorry than you are.

It's your turn.

Hello.

A message for who? Rock Thrust?

Erm, I'm sorry, but I think you have the wrong number.

That's OK. Bye.

Well, who was that?

Someone wanted Rock Thrust.

- How did you know it was us? - Huh?

Oh, lucky guess.

Great. It's like Piccadilly Circus here on a Friday night.

Uh?

This apartment is very busy.

Crazy phone calls, crazy names and now the FBI!

So, Bridget darling, any messages for me?

What do you mean, messages?

Who do you think I am? Your secretary?

This is not your apartment. You do not live here.

I never have any privacy.

But they cut off my telephone.

That's not my problem. You should pay your bills.

Sorry, Bridget.

And, Hector, you live with Nick now.

Please knock on the door.

Now, I want to be alone.

Well, that went well. What's wrong with her?

- Nick, what day is it? - Erm, Wednesday.

Nick is going to be on television.

Well, tell us, Nick. What is it?

Well, it's on every night.

It'll be hot.

Sometimes it'll be stormy.

So will you still love me when I'm a superstar?

Yes, Nick, and I'm going to help you to be a great superstar.

Yes!

Lesson number one.

This is how all superstars make a big exit.

Goodbye, Nick. See you at the Oscars.

- Annie? - Uh- huh?

I really think you're watching too many adverts.

What do you mean, too many adverts?

The centurion.

Which centurion?

Er... Ah! Here it is.

There, that's me, on the ground.

Huh! A dead centurion.

Yeah, good, eh? I had some words, but they were cut.

- What did you say? - Erm...

Hey, but now I've got the whole script just for me on television every night.

Nick, tell me.

- What is it? - It's my show.

When I'm a star, I will not forget you, my friend.

..at 5:30pm today

It means if you want a girlfriend, cook for her.

I want to learn how to cook.

Anyway, what do you mean by I watch too many adverts?

Well, remember when you wanted us to change our washing powder?

Oh- ho! Hello there.

As a mother, I must fight difficult stains every day.

Tomato ketchup.

Chocolate...ooh!

Gravy.

And...egg.

But help is here.

I will wash one shirt in ordinary washing powder

and the other in new Zap!

So, the shirt washed in normal washing powder is...

Oh! Still dirty.

But the shirt washed in new Zap! is...

Oh.

Annie, have you seen my red T- shirt anywhere?

Oops!

See what I mean?

- Oh, hello, Bridget. - Hello, Hector.

Oh, hi, Annie.

Oh, thank you. Yes, I know.

Do you know where Nick is?

- No, we've just arrived. - I'm a great actor.

Erm, I think I know where Nick is.

(Nick) ..love to do the part, but I'm too busy.

No, it's not the money.

I don't need 15 million quid.

Look, talk to my agent, Bridget, hm?

I have an idea.

Oh. So Robert De Niro said yes already?

Hm? Well...

- Hello. - Hello?

- Nick Jessop? - Yeah.

I have an executive from Warner Brothers on the line for you.

Right.

Hello, Nick.

You are very big in England.

What are you working on now?

Hi. Well, it's something that all of England watches.

It's the, erm...

Ha- ha- ha- ha- ha.

You can laugh,

but tomorrow night at six o'clock

you will see that Nick from next door

has star quality

and then Spielberg will call.

Now, excuse me, I must learn my line.

Hello and welcome to the Chunky Chunks challenge.

New Zap!

Chocolate mousse, the chocolate dessert for lovers.

Hello, all you gorgeous chefs. Mwah.

And welcome to Charlotte's Kitchen.

Today...mmm...

chocolate mousse, a dessert for lovers.

- First, take some chocolate. - Chocolate.

And melt it over hot water.

Melt?

Oh! Over hot water.

Now, my darlings, you must separate the eggs into two bowls.

Separate the eggs?

Separate the yolk from the white.

Oh, the yolk from...

- Hector? - Ah, hello, Annie.

Mix the yolk and the chocolate.

Add the butter.

And now for the fun - whisking!

I love whisking. Don't you?

- Oh, whisking? - Ah! You need Annie's magic whisk.

Yes, please.

Nearly finished, my darlings.

Finally, add the whites to the chocolate

and put it in the fridge.

And in 30 minutes,

this delicious chocolate mousse will be ready for your lover to taste - mm!

And put it in the fridge.

Why, Hector, who's the lucky lady?

I think I know!

Chocolate mousse, my favourite dessert.

Nick! What time is it?

- Six o'clock. - Quick! Change channels!

It's six o'clock and time for the weather with Rock Thrust!

With Rock Thrust.

Oh, me. I'm ready.

- The weather? - Rock Thrust?

Nick!

Hi! I'm Rock Thrust.

- Get on with it. - Huh.

And here is the weather. Big smile.

And here is the weather.

In the south, it will be hot.

Sun, sun.

Oh, sorry. Hot.

So put on your beach clothes.

And in the west, it'll be windy.

And in the east, it will rain,

so don't forget your, um...

..brella.

And there could be some...

Oh, no. Not lightning.

And that's the weather with me, Rock Thrust.

Ah, come in and sit down.

Close your eyes.

Now, are you ready for a taste of paradise?

Chocolate so smooth

it will melt a beautiful lady's heart.

Ready?

Mmm!

Chocolate mousse, the chocolate dessert for lovers.

Oh, Hector, that was so much fun!

I love doing adverts, especially with your delicious chocolate mousse.

Oh, I'm glad you like it.

Well, hello! It's Rock Thrust.

Would you like your messages, Mr Thrust?

As your agent, I take ten per cent.

Oh, poor Nick. You must be very tired now.

Yeah, I am.

Working in television must be exhausting.

Yes, because I had to run all the way from the studio.

Run? Why?

Because I was chased.

Next time in Extra...

Bridget wins the lottery.

Nick finds love at the traffic lights.

And why does Hector become a dustman?
