Grayson Allen returns as starter for Duke after 1-game suspension | Fast News 247

Duke junior guard Grayson Allen will start against Georgia Tech on

Wednesday night after missing one game for tripping Elon's Steven Santa Ana.

Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski announced Allen's indefinite suspension on Dec. 22 after reviewing video of the play.

It was Allen's third such tripping incident in the past calendar year; the two other incidents occurred last season.

Duke went 0-1 without Allen, losing to Virginia Tech on Saturday. Allen accompanied the team on the trip but did not dress.

He is the Blue Devils' second-leading scorer this season, averaging 16.0 points per game.

After the Virginia Tech game, Krzyzewski stripped Allen of his captaincy.

Freshman Harry Giles will make his first start of the season against the Yellow Jackets. Giles has played just 23 minutes this season.

The highly touted freshman has been sidelined with a sore left knee since October.

Giles' left knee was reconstructed following ligament tears that occurred during his sophomore year of high school,

and when practice began in October for the Blue Devils, the knee still wasn't right. So Duke's medical staff completed

an arthroscopic procedure on Oct. 3 that kept Giles out of practice and the Blue Devils' first 11 games of the 2016-17 season.

Wednesday's game also marks Krzyzewski's last before taking what is expected to be a four-week leave for back surgery.

POST HOLIDAY CANDY HAUL - Duration: 4:02.

Hello Internet! It is MarissaSmokes

and today I am coming to you from the corner of my bedroom.

This is a different spot that I don't think you've

seen before. This rocking chair

was given to me by my grandmother, she

had it for a very long time.

This little seat cushion was hand-made by her

so, she is awesome!

And this was part of a Christmas present.

Right now

I have after-Christmas sales candy.

*laughs*

I know I said I wouldn't be doing anymore Christmas hauls but

this isn't a Christmas haul.

It's an *after* Christmas haul.

So at Target all the candy was 30% off

and everything else Christmas related, like

stockings, lights, ornaments, was 50% off.

The only thing that I got in the 50% off

category were

were some mini lights.

I was not satisfied with the amount

of lights on my tree so,

I needed more.

On to candy,

here, I got these Dove Truffles.

They are a dark chocolate with a mint center.

I tend to prefer the Lindt Lindor truffles,

but they had all been picked out by the time

I got there.

I did pick up some Ghiradelli

chocolate squares. These are milk with white chocolate

decorations

and it's their limited holiday edition.

I got some Peeps.

Just the marshmallow snowmen type.

I found these,

which I thought was

amazing. They are peppermint flavored

marshmallows.

And I thought they would be great with

hot chocolate or even if you wanted

to make, like, kind of peppermint-y flavored

rice krispie treats at home.

This looked to have been a little stocking

stuffer, they're just a little tiny container

of holiday Whoppers.

I got a lot of chocolate bars

just because I like chocolate

and I like to have it around the house.

These three are just special

Hershey's holiday edition

chocolate bars and they have a little

Santa imprinted on them, that's

all that makes them special.

And then I got this Russell Stover

Santa chocolate bank note.

I thought it was funny because it says,

"In Santa We Trust"

I found some Twix Santas.

I found some Snicker trees.

I found one individually

packaged Lindt Lindor chocolate snowflake.

And then I found

a mini, little bag of some Lindt Lindor truffles.

Just a baby stocking stuffer bag. And that was all

I got. I did pick up

some Meow Mix kitty cat food

for my cat who is chillin underneath the tripod right now.

And the bag of cat food that I found

had a coupon on it for

two free Meow Mix pate wet foods,

so I got him those.

And all of it, all together, was

just about 20 bucks, which doesn't seem

like a huge difference

but I know my boyfriend and I both like

candy and we'd be buying stuff

like this anyways

so it's a good deal

if you really like candy.

Former UN Ambassador Says Trump Must Punish Obama Regime.

A former US ambassador to the UN has urged Donald Trump to punish the Obama administration

for deliberately sabotaging relations with Israel.

John Bolton says that the recent UN Security Council resolution on Israel was a deliberate

ploy by Obama and others to �box Donald Trump in.�

Sputniknews.com reports:

�I just think it was a very bad idea,� Bolton said during an interview with John

Catsimatidis on AM 970 in New York.

�It was vindictive, because everybody knows that Donald Trump has a different policy view

and this is intended to try to box him in.�

In a strange turn of logic, though, Bolton also called for the incoming administration

to take action against the United Nations and the member countries who supported the

resolution, despite the fact that the US�s historic decision to abstain from voting and

not use its veto power that let the resolution pass.

Previously, the United States had always exercised its veto right to block resolutions that it

considered too harmful for Israel.

�I think what Israel together with the incoming Trump administration should do is say, �Look,

we�re going to give everybody a chance to do this over again, repeal this resolution

and pass something that�s acceptable,'� Bolton said.

�And if not, we�re going to take steps to show our unhappiness,� he added, proposing

financial methods of pressure, including cutting foreign aid to some countries � in particular,

Malaysia and Venezuela, where people are starving because of the sharp drop in oil prices in

2014.

Earlier in November, Bolton also gave advice to departing US President Barack Obama, warning

him not to take any actions that could hurt Israel at the UN, according to The Hill.

�[There is] a lot of speculation over in Turtle Bay at UN headquarters about resolutions

that recognize a Palestinian state or that try and set a boundary for Israel based on

the 1967 ceasefire lines,� he said during earlier interview with Catsimatidis.

�I think that�d be very inadvisable for the president to do that,� he said that

time.

Bolton was under secretary of state for arms control and international security in George

W. Bush�s administration, and was later nominated to the post of permanent US ambassador

to the United Nations in 2005.

While broadly supported by Republicans, he often faced fierce opposition from Democrats

due to his negative and strongly expressed views on the United Nations, which he reiterated

for The Hill.

�It�s the political bodies in the UN � the Security Council, the Human Rights Council,

the General Assembly � that are fundamentally broken,� Bolton said.

�In my experience over a long period of time of dealing with the UN� what they really

listen to when it concerns the United States is our money.�

Bolton resigned after one year, earning the title of �the most controversial ambassador

ever sent by America to the United Nations,� according to a 2006 article in The Economist.

He was seen as a likely candidate for secretary of state under Trump, but the two differ sharply

in their view on Russia, which some speculate is the reason Trump named Rex Tillerson for

the position instead.

I'm so grateful down in my very being that God sent this word. I had faith there that God had already healed him.

I could see the miracle happening in my baby. He was already walking perfectly, he wasn't tripping over his own feet anymore. Glory to God!

because He took control in the healing of my baby, and I'm grateful.

When Niki asked, "Do you feel heat?", "Do you feel the fire there?" My baby couldn't respond, he just continued watching

I can testify that I felt that fire and that heat, and that my baby's face was flushed, and yes there was an anointing of the Holy Spirit.

I am so grateful for God; for His wonders that He has done in him and those wonders that He has done in my family as well. Thank-you.

Economy-related ministries to lay out Korea's management plan for 2017 - Duration: 0:58.

Policy briefings on the Korean government's management plan for 2017 will continue on

this Thursday with the economy taking center stage.

Five economy-related ministries, including finance and trade, will brief acting president

and Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn of their blueprints under the theme of "solid economy".

Hwang is taking the role this year since President Park Geun-hye was relieved of her presidential

powers last month after the National Assembly passed an impeachment motion against her.
