Kendrick Lamar designs new Reebok shoes to promote unity and equality

Rapper Kendrick Lamar is using his new Reebok sneaker design to promote unity and equality.

The Poetic Justice star, who is known for his politically-charged lyrics, became a brand ambassador for the sports giant in 2014

and with his latest signature shoe for the brand, he wants to draw attention to the

need for people across the world to put their differences aside and "come together".

Kendrick's latest creation is a new twist on Reebok's Club C model, and features acid-washed denim in black

and white on the upper part of the shoe with a red label on the sneaker's tongue.

The Reebok branding on the side is made in all black,

with the 'k' and 'o' highlighted in red to represent the hip-hop star's nickname, "Kdot".

"Now more than ever it is important for individuals to come together as one," Kendrick explained in a press release.

"This sneaker represents that call for unity and equality, while also pushing people to look beneath the surface

and uncover the hidden messages. This is something I try to do with my music, and now here with the Club C."

The Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Club C is set to hit retailers from January 13, when it will carry a price tag of $109.99.

The MC previously used his fashion endeavour with Reebok to pay tribute to his hometown of Compton,

California with the Ventilator OG sneaker, and encourage peace among rival gangs with the Classic Leather model named Perfect Split.

What is gout?

Gout is a kind of arthritis.

It can cause an attack of sudden burning pain, stiffness, and swelling in a joint, usually

a big toe.

These attacks can happen over and over unless gout is treated.

Over time, they can harm your joints, tendons, and other tissues.

Gout is most common in men.

What causes gout?

Gout is caused by too much uric acid in the blood.

Most of the time, having too much uric acid isn't harmful.

Many people with high levels in their blood never get gout.

But when uric acid levels in your blood are too high, the uric acid may form hard crystals

in your joints.

Your chances of getting gout are higher if you are overweight, drink too much alcohol,

or eat too much meat and fish that are high in chemicals called purines.

Some medicines, such as water pills (diuretics), can also bring on gout.

What are the symptoms of gout?

The most common sign of gout is a nighttime attack of swelling, tenderness, redness, and

sharp pain in your big toe . You can also get gout attacks in your foot, ankle, or knees,

or other joints.

The attacks can last a few days or many weeks before the pain goes away.

Another attack may not happen for months or years.

See your doctor even if your pain from gout is gone.

The buildup of uric acid that led to your gout attack can still harm your joints.

How is gout diagnosed?

Your doctor will ask questions about your symptoms and do a physical exam.

Your doctor may also take a sample of fluid from your joint to look for uric acid crystals.

This is the best way to test for gout.

Your doctor may also do a blood test to measure the amount of uric acid in your blood.

How is gout treated?

To stop a gout attack, your doctor can give you a shot of corticosteroids or prescribe

a large daily dose of one or more medicines.

The doses will get smaller as your symptoms go away.

Relief from a gout attack often begins within 24 hours if you start treatment right away.

To ease the pain during a gout attack, rest the joint that hurts.

Taking ibuprofen or another anti-inflammatory medicine can also help you feel better.

But don't take aspirin.

It can make gout worse by raising the uric acid level in the blood.To prevent future

attacks, your doctor can prescribe a medicine to reduce uric acid buildup in your blood.

Paying attention to what you eat may help you manage your gout.

Eat moderate amounts of a healthy mix of foods to control your weight and get the nutrients

you need.

Limit daily intake of meat, seafood, and alcohol (especially beer).

Drink plenty of water and other fluids.

Hi this is Alia and I am in heaven, a.k.a. Bali!

And since our surrounding is so exotic, we are going to prepare exotic food the easy way.

So let's kick off this new series "Easy Exotic"!

Today's episode is about smoothies.

We are going to make smoothies like you have never had them before

two colors in one cup, with flavors out of this world! So let's start!

First let's cut the mangoes.

Slice one of the largest sides down.

Turn the mango around and slice the other large side as well.

These are called the mango "cheeks"

Now slice the rest of the pulp around the mango seed.

Go ahead and suck on the seed before discarding it. It's too delicious to go to waste!

Cut through the small mango pieces to separate the skin from the pulp.

For the mango cheeks, cut parallel slices without cutting through the skin

then scoop the mango pieces with a spoon.

For the smoothie, it is better if you use frozen mangos!

Just put the mango pieces in a container and pop them in the freezer overnight.

Same for the strawberries - remove the stem and freeze them.

I prefer to freeze the fruits rather than use ice cubes so the fruity flavors are concentrated.

Bring on the sugar and orange juice, and let's start.

For the mango smoothie, place in a blender the frozen mango pieces, orange juice, and sugar to your taste.

Now blend it!

Serve it immediately in a tall glass

and don't forget to leave some space for the strawberry smoothie!

For the strawberry smoothie, place the frozen strawberries in the blender

add the orange juice, and a little bit of sugar.

Blend.

Top the mango smoothie with the strawberry smoothie

Throw in a mint leaf and enjoy!
