Papa Mage has some great stories and some of them are even about Magic.

Here's one I think you will enjoy a lot.

Ah, the early days of Magic.

I don't remember which year this was exactly.

I think it was early 1994.

There wasn't a Pro Tour or sanctioned tournaments.

Magic was still very new and this was before Fourth edition came out.

There had been a few tournaments at conventions and a few stores in my area banded together

to create a weekend tournament.

This tournament would be similar to what we would call a GP today.

But we didn't have nearly as many people.

I recall that this was somewhere around 80 players.

I don't remember what the prize amounts were but I think it was about $100 for first

place.

There was also booster boxes of Arabian Nights as part of the prizes.

I don't remember anyone playing Arabian Nights at the tournament, so it might have

been right after that set came out.

The rules were very different back then.

The minimum deck size was 40 cards.

But you had to make sure you kept at least 40 cards in your deck throughout the tournament.

There was no sideboards and you still had to ante as part of the tournament rules.

I think this was because there were cards that could be played to affect the ante.

It made sense to have an ante in that case.

So I think I made a 43 card deck.

We didn't use Swiss scoring back then, it was a simple double elimination tournament.

Best two out of three and no time limit.

So 43 cards was about optimal.

This was before a lot of people had Internet access.

The first "widely used" web browser came out in 1993.

That was really only used by colleges and government research facilities.

So there was no such thing as net decking or discussions of a common meta game.

You played against the minds of the people that went to your local stores and that was

about it.

So this tournament was a really new experience pulling in people from the surrounding area

and other states.

Another thing about the rules back then, there was really only a single main phase.

You could play a land, cast spells and do combat in any order.

A lot of people took that to mean you could do each one only once.

And it really depended on who was the judge as to the interpretation.

We also had a one touch rule in place for the tournament.

This was kind of like chess.

When you went to tap your mana or send a creature to attack or block, if you touched the card,

the decision had to be made then what you were going to do.

If you released the card without committing it, it couldn't be used for another action

that turn.

It was a very strict rule, but at the time it made a lot of sense.

It helped make sure that you didn't have people twiddling cards back and forth which

had the tendency to get people confused.

And Twiddling was used a lot by cheaters.

The deck I used was Plague Rats.

Just Plague Rats.

I don't remember the exact number in the deck, but I think it was around 23 or 24.

The rest were swamps.

Very simple and effective deck.

There was removal in the game and direct damage.

But this deck would do lethal damage generally by turn 6 or 7.

Most of my games were really really short.

There wasn't a lot of decision making required on my part.

This deck was very unusual and unexpected.

I'm sure you want to know what place I got.

I think it was second or third place.

I pretty sure it was second.

I think I only lost once.

I won a bit of cash and either a booster box or half a booster box of Arabian Knights.

Most decks weren't mono colored.

I had the only mono-creature deck too.

By biggest problem was CoPs.

That's what we called Circle of Protection.

Most people didn't run these because you really needed to know what your opponent was

going to play before you started the game.

The deck I lost to had a lot of CoPs, walls and Serra Angels.

Obviously an early control deck.

I don't know if my deck had any impact on how we play Magic today.

I'm sure there are a lot of refinement to the rules that came about from early games

and tournaments.

There were a lot of House Rules at various shops.

And I'm sure as the Internet gained users those ideas got around.

So what do you think of my solution?

This was the only mono-creature deck I've built.

Keep in mind there was less than 400 different cards to choose from back then.

Now with Standard rotation, you have generally over a thousand cards to choose from.

Which gives you a lot more options.

Make sure you click like on my videos, it helps out a lot.

Don't forget to subscribe, if you haven't already.

And there are a few things here and here that may interest you.

I have more videos coming out soon.

And until then, Rhino out.

WHY INDIA IS DEPLOYING 464 MORE T 90 SM TANKS ALONG INDO-PAK BORDER? TOP 5 FACTS - Duration: 5:03.

The Indian Army is set to deploy over 460 new T 90 SM Main Battle Tanks (MBTs) along

India's border with Pakistan.

The new T 90 SM MBT is the latest and most modern version of the T-90, and has specifically

been designed for export by Russia.

These are considered to be one of the most lethal tanks in the world.

In this video, Defense Updates analyzes the need & implication of the move.

So, lets get started.

The backbone of the Indian armor consists of mainly 3 types of tanks:

1. 850 to 900 license-built T-90S Bhishma tanks, divided into 18 regiments, and currently deployed

in the Indian states of Rajasthan and Punjab.

2. Almost 2500 T 72 tanks, upgraded to advanced Ajeya Mk1 and MK2 standard.

3. Around 250 indigenously developed Ar jun MBT.

The Indian tank force is one of the most formidable in the world, and new tanks will prop up the

strength even more.

Viewers may be aware of India's Cold Start doctrine.

This doctrine, which as has never been officially acknowledged until recently, calls for swift

and decisive conventional offensive operations into Pakistani territory before the international

community can intervene, and before Pakistan would feel compelled to launch tactical nuclear

retaliatory strikes in the event of an invasion.

For a swift strike, Indian Army relies mainly on its three Strike Corps; each of these consists

of two armored and one infantry division with approximately 450 MBTs per corps.

A number of military maneuvers over the past decade have shown that, these were slow to

mobilize and stationed too far in the interior of India.

This took away the surprise element, the key ingredient for Cold Start doctrine to succeed.

As a result, the Indian Army decided to implement structural and organizational changes.

The two major changes are as follows:

1.

Decided to prop up its defensive corps stationed along the border with Pakistan with new offensive

elements: division-sized integrated battle groups (IBG) consisting of artillery, armor,

and aviation elements capable of limited offensive operations.

2.

The Indian Army also decided to disaggregate the three strike corps into division-sized

IBGs and station them closer to the border.

These IBGs, equipped with artillery, armored personnel carriers, MBTs, and infantry fighting

vehicles, would be capable of launching strikes (50-80 kilometers deep) into enemy territory

supported by air power.

The newly ordered T-90SM MBTs will be used for the IBGs.

These MBTs will be equipped with new thermal imagining sights and will be divided up into

ten new regiments.

India has been mulling the purchase of 464 T-90SM MBTs for the past year.

According to report from November 2016, the contract will include a Make-in-India element

for integration at the Heavy Vehicles Factory in Avadi near Chennai.

These tanks will play a pivotal role in Cold Start, as they are the key offensive assets

to launch limited but rapid armored thrusts into Pakistani territory.

Supported by mechanized infantry formations and air power, the tank units will be able

to make solid inroads within first 48 to 72 hours of a military confrontation.

The Indian Army already maintains a sizeable tank force along the India-Pakistan border.

However, the recent information that New Delhi intends to modernize its tanks formations

along the border indicate that India continues to methodically implement its so-called Cold

Start Doctrine of limited conventional war with Pakistan.

How to Bounce Back | Mental Wellness - Duration: 9:32.

Hi, I'm Dr. Steven Ravnstag. Creator of

The Ever Better Life Course and Developer of Ever Better Thought Technology.

And I want to tell you a little bit about how you can bounce back

from rock bottom. A lot of people in their life, no matter

whether it's with drugs or alcohol or a really bad relationship

maybe a promising career comes to an unceremonious

end.

Very often we hit what we

experience as "ROCK BOTTOM EXPERIENCES" in our life.

Some people respond really effectively

to those thing, some people are like the Phoenix and they come up

from the ashes and they transcend the situation

and are better off than they were before it happened. Other people really struggle

and I think it has less to do with the nature of

experience and MORE to do with HOW the person RELATES to

it. I've studied people who do these things and I've found

consistently the people who rehabilitate

the people who get back to where they started

have different patterns than the people who aren't able to get back and the people

who actually go way beyond where they were before the event even happened

have different ways of relating than either of those two groups.

One of the things about hitting rock bottom that noone tells you is that

there is a trampoline down there! And the harder you hit

if you say "man the lower i go

and the harder I hit when I got down there, the higher I'm going to come up"

AS SOON as you start to think in that way rather than thinking

"someone in a situation like this

at best I could hope to get back to half

as good as I was before" If you think that way, you WILL create outcomes

that are consistent with that.

One thing to understand is that the way that you relate to

your rock bottom will determine what your experience of hitting rock bottom

and rebounding from it will be.

Another thing is that too often

rehabilitation programs, there are so many of them

and many of them do really wonderful things for people, I think that

one of the big mistakes that really really good people who really want to help

One of the big mistakes that they make is that they teach

people to shoot for simple "rehabilitation"

Which is to say we just want to get you back to where you were before

you became addicted to this, before this bad thing happened. And I think if we're

going to go to all this trouble, if we're going to do all this

stuff and go through all this pain of change and invest all this time

and money and effort and blood and sweat and tears

WHY would we shoot for getting you back to where

you were before the bad thing happened? I really believe that EVERY adversity

carries with it the seed of a greater benefit. Not an equivalent benefit

not something bad happens and you can get back to where you were

before, sure you can, BUT why not double it?

Why not take it and times it by 4?

Because did you know that you that your mind can do that? You mind is this Goal Seeking Mechanism

If you have a troubling event in your life, if you

go through a Dark Night of the Soul, if you have a period of time

where you are sure you'll never come back and you say

in that moment, "god, this is it, this is that moment for me"

"AND this means that it's time to sky rocket to a hundred times

more than I ever would have had or become

or achieved without that event" That your mind will begin

to set into work the THINKING and the ACTING and the

ways of perceiving information and relating to your environment

that WILL CREATE that reality for you.

One of the 5 things that have held me back in my life more than anything else is a simple lack

of Imagination.

And in this really

scientific, super rational, we've got protocols,

the way that we respond to people who are having

a mental health crisis or a substance abuse issue sometimes

we can lose sight of the REAL INTANGIBLE MAGIC

of the HUMAN MIND and the POWER of IMAGINATION.

And its great to give people what they need in a given situation

BUT always the MOST important things is

to connect them to THEIR INTERNAL RESOURCES. WHY

did they become addicted to this in the first place? The ONLY reason anybody

ever does anyTHING is because

they did have something BETTER TO DO. And if you want to

keep people from doing things that have been self-destructive in the past

it doesn't matter WHAT it is, whether it's a clinical diagnosis,

or if it's some kind of a habit that is not resourceful

You better give them something BETTER to do!

If people are THINKing in ways that are causing them to FEEL

bad, you need to give them BETTER things to THINK about, you need to give them

BETTER ways to FEEL, give them Experiential Reference Points

for preferrable alternatives and

then you don't have to tell a person to get excited about

a delicious plate of food that's in front of them. You don't have to tell somebody who's into

making money to get excited about a million dollar deal,

Human Beings are Naturally Addicted to Perpetual Improvement.

If we can get you addicted to the RIGHT things

if we can get you to be WRONG about the RIGHT things that you believed about yourself

that aren't true that were limiting you, that were holding you back and get you addicted to

the right kinds of things like: Making Money or providing Value to

other people or helping other people or teaching people things that they need to know

then ALL of a sudden the same mechanisms that created

the catastrophic problems in your life can begin

to catapult you to places WAY beyond where you would have been before

I've worked with people who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia and

bipolar disorder and I made it very clear

that the point here is not to

get you so that you can be out of the

hospital, the point here is not to get you off your medication because

I think that's lame, I think that shooting way too/putting the bar way too low

I want you to be WAY above average

Because that's what I've found, the hardest thing to cure people of

is GENERALIZED MEDIOCRITY. The hardest people to work with

are the people who don't have an "acknowledged problem"

because they've got the problem that everybody has, which is that they're falling

short of their potential.

If I've got a person in crisis I love it

that's my favorite kind of person to work with. You're easy

because you know how bad life can be and that gives you a reference point

If we can get you out of that we're just going to fling you

slingshot you way up into a really really incredible life!

That's so much easier to fix than the monotonous,

somnambulistic complacency of someone who just

sits in front of the tv. Pff If you see things that aren't there

No problem! We can sort that out

easily enough, tell me what you want, tell me how you want to feel

don't tell me about how you're feeling, tell me how you WANT to feel, oh you don't know?

oh well NO WONDER you're doing the stuff that you're doing! You don't even know how you want to

feel. I can't imagine what I would be doing if I didn't

know what I wanted in my life. I can't imagine what I would be thinking about

if I didn't know what I wanted to be thinking about, how I wanted to be feeling

the behaviors that I want to engage with. So this is a very, kind of,

sort of irreverent, very unconventional way of approaching

people and this is why it works SO WELL. Because I come in

with the exact opposite of all of the assumptions

of all of the therapist, substance abuse counselors,

experts, that sit down with these people, who do very good work

but there is also a place for saying- hmm

what do you WANT in your life? Aren't you glad that you're at this point

right now? Where you are forced to confront what is not working

in your life? And since we have you here

why don't we engineer and build from the ground up

an incredible life experience that you would have never

thought to live,

had you not hit rock bottom in the

way that you did.

When you change the fact

When you change the way an addict relates to their personal history

so that they don't accept it, but they embrace it and they're glad that it happened

because they recognize that it saved them from the lame kind of

mediocre life that they might have otherwise lived. Now that's

a really powerful person.

Someone who is able to accept

the past is able to respond to it and kind of get along okay

someone who is GLAD that the worst thing in their life happened to them because

that is THE THING that is going to get them where they want to go

then that's a different person, that's a different level

that's a new level of Personal Power and

when the person has that, that level of Self-Efficacy, when they've got that

level of conviction, when they KNOW that not only can they

survive something, but they can UTILIZE that thing to create

exactly what they want in their life. Not doing

drugs again is not an accomplishment

for that person, that's just embedded within all the

tremendous accomplishments that they're going to create in their life

and that's the thing that I found you take those remedial changes "I want to stop

doing this, I want to start doing this..." You take that stuff and you embed

that within a bigger picture. The problem with so many people is that they

shoot for where they want to go instead of shooting for 1000 feet above it

and then they run into problems and then they fall short and they

slip up and create problems for themselves, but when you really shoot for

really outlandish stuff, get crazy about what it is

that you want in your life, because the crazy thing is not that you want that, the crazy

thing is that you think it's crazy to want it, the CRAZY thing is that you think you can't have it!

And if you get a person shooting for that stuff the SAME mechanism that

created problems for them start working for them

they start going to achieving those things.

That's the benefit

of Rock Bottom. I think it's great, I think it's perfect

I think it's EXACTLY what was supposed to happen, I think it perfectly positions

the person for moving forward and creating what they want in their life

moving into the future. I don't think anything better could

have happened to them, I think the worst aspects, the most loathesome

the most shameful, the things that they hate the worst

about the person that they were as a result of those bad things happening to them

THOSE ARE THE BEST THINGS THAT EVER HAPPENED TO THEM. AND I can convince them that

that is TRUE too and once you convince them of that

there is NOTHING to stop them. Their full force

of their personality is aligned behind creating what they want. There's no

part of them that is resisting it, there is no part that is ashamed,

there is no part that says "Oh I hope it doesn't happen again..." because they don't have time

to think about what they don't want, because they are SO BUSY Consciously and

intentionally focusing on and Obsessing over creating

exactly what they want in their life.

So if you know someone that has hit rock bottom or maybe has hit rock bottom many times

and hit rock bottom and is hanging out down there. Maybe they had a divorce,

really bad financial situation, health crisis,

addiction issue, if they're just struggling to get their life together

and you know they want to, you want them to, you know

they can, but it's just not happening

GET THEM ON THE PHONE WITH ME.

Let me talk to them, send them to EverBetterLife.com set up a phone consultation

with me I will talk to them, I will get their gears

turning in the right direction, I will get them thinking

the same thing you're thinking when you're watching this video and once you start that process

once you start rewiring them, once you start getting them moving in the

right direction, that's ALL THEY NEED. So please

LIKE this video, COMMENT, SHARE it, because there are people that NEED

to know this information, there are people that NEED to bounce back

there are people who have the capacity to bounce back, but no one told them

that it's not a climb up, it's a bounce up, that it's ALL about how you RELATE

to the situation, UTILIZING the situation, and making that stuff happen so

thanks so much for watching, I really really appreciate it, I'll see you

again very soon.

Resolutions (Original Song) - Duration: 2:20.

My new year's resolution list is fucking long

So I decided to put it in a song

But I've never written one before

Which is why I am sitting on the floor

With tons on notes trying to ignore-

my bubbling anxiety

Sitting in seclusion

Listing my new year resolutions

I'm gonna start eating healthy

And go to the gym three times a week

And reduce my consumption of animal products

Cause I care about the environment

I will put myself out there

And find my one true love

And I'll read more books

And achieve my career goals

Or at least figure out what they are

And then someone will love me

I mean, this is why we make these bullshit lists

So that everyone would love me

That's the only reason that those lists exist

Cause when everyone loves you-

Wait, what?

No, that's not what I was going for at all.

No, I'm gonna love myself

That's the most important thing

Is loving yourself

I should add that to the list

You really don't need anyone as long as you have you

Which doesn't really coincide with the whole finding true love thing or the gym three times

a week I mean who am I trying to impress really I don't even care about the environment

I just want people to think I have principles

Honestly, being yourself is kinda of a confusing message

So I will live in the present

And save for the future

I'll stay in the moment

While worrying about my retirement

Every day could be my last

So I better invest

In high-risk high-profit

long-term bonds

Fuck it, I'm watching Bones and ordering pizza

Medical Fake News is the Mt Everest of Fake News - Duration: 8:54.

Medical Fake News is the Mt. Everest of Fake News

By WakingTimes.

Deep medical fraud and the destruction of health: this was the subject that prompted

me to exit the news business.

As I probed deeper into that swamp, I found editors running away from my story-pitches.

They didnt want to go there. It was too scary. Too threatening to the status of their

newspapers and magazines.

Lesson learned in the late 1980s: if you want to go deep, go independent.

I never looked back.

Here are three examples of going deep:

ONE: Proponents claim a vaccine stimulates a persons immune system to produce antibodies,

which are immune-system scouts.

This is supposedly a rehearsal. The immune system gets a chance to respond to a test

run, so that when the real disease hits, the immune-defense will be ready and will

knock out the disease quickly.

Except there are many diagnostic tests for disease that look for antibodies, and if antibodies

show up, the doctor tells the patient he has the disease.

Its absurd.

Antibodies from a vaccine=immunity. Same antibodies produced by the body in response to a germ

entering the body=illness.

On top of this insanity, antibodies are only one component of a very complex immune system.

The production of antibodies doesnt guarantee a persons whole immune system is in good

shape.

In 1987, when I was writing my first book, AIDS INC., I queried the FDA about the development

of an HIV vaccine. Here is what I was told: if a vaccine was ever deployed, it would produce

antibodies to HIV and the person would be given a letter to carry around with him in

case he was ever tested for HIV.

The letter would say, this person is immune from HIV. The antibodies are an indication

of immunity, not disease.

You see, the two standard diagnostic tests for HIV were the Elisa and the Western Blot.

They both tested for antibodies. If a person tested positive, he was told he had AIDS.

But if the SAME antibodies were produced by the vaccine, hed be designated immune from

AIDS.

No, that couldnt be.

Yes, it could be and was.

TWO: Obamacare is about control, so its an answer to the prayers of the medical cartel.

So what do we know about their mainstream medicine, the hospital-based drug-addled modern

version?

On July 26, 2000, the Journal of the American Medical Association published a landmark review

by Dr. Barbara Starfield (Johns Hopkins School of Public Health), Is US health really

the best in the world? In it, Starfield revealed what many people inside the medical

establishment already knew: every year, like clockwork, the medical system was killing

huge numbers of people.

Each year in the US, as Dr. Starfield reported, there are:

12,000 deaths from unnecessary surgeries;

7,000 deaths from medication errors in hospitals;

20,000 deaths from other errors in hospitals;

80,000 deaths from infections acquired in hospitals;

106,000 deaths from FDA-approved correctly prescribed medicines.

The total of medically-caused deaths in the US every year is 225,000. (a conservative

estimate)

This makes the medical system the third leading cause of death in America, behind heart disease

and cancer.

In the wake of Starfields devastating report, other facts came to light: 2.1 million people

in America, every year, are hospitalized as a result of reactions to FDA-approved medicines.

Annually, 36 million serious adverse reactions to those drugs occur.

So, inclusive health coverage for many more Americans under the Obama Plan means these

horrendous figures will rise.

This is the dirty secret.

Obama and his allies are promoting a medical system that is the third leading cause of

death in America. Its that stark and its that simple.

THREE: The gold standard test for disease diagnosis is called the PCR.

Example: ABC New York reports (in Mount Sinai patient likely does not have Ebola,

health official says):Testing for Ebola is done at the CDC. According to a CDC spokesperson

testing for Ebola takes 1-2 days after they receive the samples. The primary testing is

PCR. This is performed on blood that has been treated to kill and live virus [sic]. So far

CDC has tested samples from around 6 people who had symptoms consistent with Ebola and

a travel history to the affected region.

But the PCR test is completely unreliable for a disease diagnosis. Why? Two reasons.

First, technicians start with a tiny, tiny sample of genetic material from the patient.

This sample is supposed to be part of a virus. It may or may not be. Mistakes can be made.

Obviously, the techs want the sample to be viral in nature; otherwise, the diagnostic

test will be complete bust.

But more importantly, the whole rationale for PCR is wrongheaded. Doctors and researchers

only find a miniscule bit of hopefully relevant material in the patient to begin with. The

PCR amplifies that bit many times so it can be observed. Thats the whole rationale

behind the PCR.

But to consider the possibility that a virus is causing a disease in a patient, there must

be huge numbers of that virus working actively in his body.

The PCR never establishes that.

Finding a tiny, tiny trace of viral material in a patient says absolutely nothing about

whether he is ill, has been ill, or will become ill.

The PCR test is an irrelevant bust and a lie.

Those are just three examples, out of many, where going deep gets you a strange

stare and glare from medical editors at newspapers and magazines.

They run away. They disappear. They huff and puff and turn red in the face. They do whatever

they can to let you know youre no longer welcome in their presence.

Its fun. I used to enjoy pitching stories like these to the guardians on the watchtower

of truth. Their various reactions were priceless. I used to call it watching the egg crack.

And its instructive. You find out where the boundaries are. You learn, in your gut,

how shallow and fear-ridden the mainstream news business is, behind its pompous front.

You discover what going independent really means. Thats very important. Because

if youre going to leave the fold, your commitment to what youre writing has to

become relentless.

Fortunately, I discovered relentless was right up my alley.

It makes a cloudy day turn sunny.

Since those days when I made my exit, Ive watched many reporters I know stop being reporters.

Some of them went into real estate. Some started selling cars. Some became teachers at prep

schools. Some landed jobs with partisan think-tanks and foundations.

And some are still around, turning out fake news like pancakes at a diner. Their faces

are gray. Theyre standing over their griddles like robots.

In off-the-cuff conversations, I told them they were making a mistake. They didnt

want to listen. I told them how vastly bored they would become.

They said it wasnt a problem.

But it is a problem. Especially when the truth is the first casualty.

It always is the first casualty, in the news biz.

Pope Francis Goes After Freemasons and Seizes Power of the Knights of Malta - Duration: 5:27.

Pope Francis Goes After Freemasons and Seizes Power of the Knights of Malta.

by Moe.

The Vatican has officially seized power from the Order of Malta.

An action that amounts to one sovereign country annexing another.

This news comes shortly after the head of the Order, Fra Matthew Festing met with

Pope Francis and resigned from the Order.

Now the Vatican has ceased complete power of the order ending 900 years of sovereignty

in what is being called "a brutal power-grab by the Vatican."

The disorder in Malta had started in December when the Vatican demanded that the Knights

of Malta dismiss Albrecht Freiherr von Boeselager as grand chancellor (the orders third-ranking

official) for distributing thousands of condoms and oral contraceptives through the orders

humanitarian agency, Malteser International.

Shortly thereafter, Pope Francis demanded that Cardinal Burke purge all the Freemasons

from the Knights of Malta.

The Vatican journalist Edward Pentin had written: "Hopes that the contraceptive scandal would

be addressed came on Nov. 10, when Cardinal Burke was received in private audience by

Pope Francis.

During that meeting, the Register has learned, the Pope was deeply disturbed by what

the cardinal told him about the contraceptive distribution.

The Pope also made it clear to Cardinal Burke that he wanted Freemasonry cleaned out

from the order, and he demanded appropriate action.

The concern was followed up by a Dec. 1 letter to Cardinal Burke, in which the Register has

learned that the Holy Father underlined the cardinals constitutional duty to promote

the spiritual interests of the order and remove any affiliation with groups or practices that

run contrary to the moral law."

Pope Francis had previously criticized the influence of Freemasons on the Church in July

2013 when he said: The problem is not having this [homosexual]

orientation.

No, we must be brothers and sisters.

The problem is lobbying for this orientation, or lobbies of greed, political lobbies, Masonic

lobbies, so many lobbies.

This is the most serious problem for me."

In a June 21, 2015 statement, the Pope when speaking on Freemasons had called them, "Masonic,

hardcore anticlericals and Satanists."

The Pope had said: "At the end of the 19th century there were

the worst conditions for young peoples development: freemasonry was in full swing,

not even the Church could do anything, there were priest haters, there were also Satanists....

It was one of the worst moments and one of the worst places in the history of Italy.

However, if you would like to do a nice homework assignment, go and find out how many men and

women saints were born during that time.

Why?

Because they realized that they had to go against the tide with respect to the culture,

to that lifestyle."

The Catholic Herald had said, "Fra Matthew had refused to cooperate with a papal commission

investigating his ousting of the grand chancellor, Albrecht von Boeselager, over revelations

that the orders charity branch had distributed condoms under his watch.

Fra Matthew had cited the Orders status as a sovereign entity in refusing to cooperate.

Last week, the Holy See said in a sharply worded statement that it plans to take action

to resolve the dispute, which had set the stage for one sovereign entity intervening

in the internal affairs of another.

In a January 17 statement, the Vatican called the issue a crisis of the central direction

of the Order of Malta."

The SFGate reports that Kurt Martens, a professor of canon law at the Catholic University of

America, said the Vatican intervention was dangerous as a result, because it set

a precedent that could eventually be used against the Holy See, which has a similarly

unique status as a tiny sovereign entity that nevertheless enjoys international recognition

at the United Nations and elsewhere.

The Sovereign Military Order of Malta dates back to the First Crusade and is now considered

a lay religious order headquartered in Rome.

The Knights are sovereigns under international law who employ diplomatic relations with 106

countries.

The Order has long been known as protectors of the Christian faith who were also dedicated

to assisting the poor and sick people of the world with approximately 25,000 medical personnel

and 80,000 volunteers located all around the globe.
