hey whats up guys its jay
I'm Jay
and today I'm celebrating the first year of my channel
and the new year with lots of videos to come
When I started I looked like this
now look at me
I didn't think I would come this far with more than 3000 subscribers
but its all thanks to you
Anyway let's get straight into the video
Let's talk shot sizes in cinema
This is a full shot of full-body
and shows the character from head to toe
but also shows his surroundings
some people frame their feet out
your subject ends up looking amputee so avoid that
that next frame is a medium full shot or a Cowboy shot
this is a bit tighter and normally you cut the frame just below the waist
then you have medium shots
when you frame half of the body
possibly the most common type of shot in cinema
The next is a close shot or a medium close-up
which is off way between a medium shot and a close up
this shot frames a subject's head and cuts off around nipple area
it shows the face more clearly without
without getting too close
this is a close-up
much more dramatic than medium or full body shots
here the subject occupies most of the frame
this tight shot is very effective on catching expressions and emotions
basically is just the head in frame
if you move tighter we call it extreme close up
If you enjoyed the video feel free to share it
don't forget to subscribe and check the links on the description
as Arnie says
I'll be back
in 2 weeks
take it easy guys happy new year and have a nice one
Bye ;)
