taken after a meal.

Chamomile has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be why it help to relieve heartburn

for some people.

Try chamomile tea to see if it works for you.

Ginger has also been found effective against heartburn.

You can make your own ginger tea by adding a few slices of fresh ginger to boiling water.

Cover the water and allow the ginger to steep for 30 minutes before drinking.

For best results, drink ginger tea about 20 minutes before a meal.

Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with water and drink the solution.

Your stomach produces hydrochloric acid in order to digest food.

This is a strong acid which is very corrosive, and causes the burn in your chest.

You can neutralize some of the acid by consuming a base, such as baking soda mixed with water.

Compared with over the counter antacids, this homemade medicine doesn't taste very good.

But drinking a mixture of baking soda and water will bring the pH of the liquid in your

stomach and help relieve the burn.

Do not use this method if you are on a low sodium diet because baking soda is very high

in sodium.

Stop eating at least three hours before bedtime.

Plan to have your last meal of the day at least three hours before bedtime, since your

body requires about two hours to digest the food that you have eaten.

If you lay down while there is still food in your stomach, you have a higher chance

of getting heartburn.

Vancouver Coastal Health Authority|Health Authority Fired Disabled Worker BC - Duration: 2:44.

If you are an unionized employee working for the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, then

the information in this video will be valuable to you.

I was a disabled worker and was fired by my local health authority.

I worked as a nurse in BC until permanent disability ended my career and I was awarded

Long Term Disability benefits by an arbitration board, referred to as a Claims Review Committee.

According to the Labour Relations Board, Claims Review Committee awards are final and binding

on all parties and cannot be challenged by anyone.

However, following the award, my benefits were wrongfully terminated by my plan administrator.

My employer claimed that placing me back to work would violate my collective agreement

and fired me for being disabled.

I went to the BC Supreme Court seeking fairness and justice.

The judge told me the Labour Relations Board has emasculated the courts and Judges are

fearful of losing their jobs.

He also said that he could not rule on my case.

The only thing he was allowed to say was that there was no fraud in my petition.

I experienced Long Term Disability fraud and corruption inside my workplace.

Korea's science and culture ministries lay out 2017 action plans - Duration: 2:06.

Korea's science and culture ministries say they will seek to help the government realize

its vision for achieving a smart information society through I-C-T innovation.

The ministries laid out their plans for the new year in a briefing for the acting president

and prime minister.

Our Kim Ji-yeon with more on day three of the government briefings for 2017.

Five government offices,... including the Ministry of Science, I-C-T and Future Planning,...

have outlined their action plans for the year for Acting President and Prime Minister Hwang

Kyo-ahn.

In a briefing Friday,... the officials said their focus will be on bolstering the government's

growth initiatives and its vision of achieving a smart information society through I-C-T

innovation.

The ministries also pledged to work toward creating a healthy startup eco-system through

the expansion of the government's creative economy initiative.

Other steps include increasing Korea's I-C-T competitiveness on the global stage by making

policies focused on meeting researchers' needs, creating new markets and services through

convergence and innovation, and supporting state projects involving smart IT to better

prepare for the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution.

To do that, the science ministry says it will increase the amount of research and development

funding for basic science to more than 738-million U.S. dollars this year.

It will also provide research funds of up to 25-point-2-million dollars per person...

for one-thousand young scientists this year.

The ministry also designated ten sectors, including the Internet-of-Things, smart cars

and artificial intelligence, that it will seek to aid in generating business opportunities

and profits... and creating new services and markets.

In particular, it aims to promote the commercialization of fifth-generation LTE internet connectivity

by 2020.

It will also help increase investment in the field of new medicine and the bio sector to

more than 106-point-9-million dollars this year.
