What are QUICKSILVER'S Powers? (X-Men) - Duration: 1:01.

Confident, arrogant, and somewhat of a kleptomaniac, Peter Maximoff, son of Magneto, is a powerful

mutant, who's primary power, is that of moving at speeds that are imperceivable to

humans and most other mutants.

Peter is capable of achieving supersonic speeds, while also capable of thinking and reacting

in tandem with his movements.

With his mutant power engaged, his overall perception of time is drastically augmented,

and slowed to a crawl relative to others – allowing him to manipulate physical objects in the

world around him, and alter how external forces, such as gravity, affect him; resulting in

his ability to effortlessly throw and lift heavy items, while generating enormous amounts

of inertia through his movements.

He is even capable performing supersonic micro movements that can be used to generate frequencies

capable of destroying objects susceptible to vibrations.

To endure the physical stress of his mutant powers, Peter's physiology possesses incredible

strength and extreme durability, along with an accelerated healing factor and high metabolism.

How Much Vitamin C Should I Take ? | Dr.Michael Greger - Duration: 3:12.

Dr. Michael Greger M.D. Physician and New York Times bestselling author

"What is the Optimal Vitamin C intake?"

For many years, the RDA, the recommended daily allowance

for vitamins, was just based on preventing deficiency,

with a margin of safety,

but the miniscule amount of vitamin C, for example, needed to avoid scurvy

is not necessarily the ideal intake for optimal health.

So what might be the optimal intake of vitamin C?

Let's ask the body. How might we do that?

By seeing how much the body absorbs and excretes.

If you swallow 15 mg of vitamin C, which is what you would get

eating about a quarter of an orange, your body sucks up nearly 90% of it.

But if you take a supplement containing 1,250 mg,

your body seems to realize that's too much, and so clamps down on absorption

at the intestinal lining level, and you end up absorbing less than half.

So by doing experiments where you slowly ratchet up the intake

you can see when the body starts to say, OK, that's enough,

and that magic level of intake appears to be about 200 mg a day.

When you take up to 200 a day your body sucks it all up,

but above that your body tries to block further absorption

suggesting our intestinal vitamin C transport mechanisms have evolved

to fully absorb up to about 200 mg of vitamin C a day.

In addition, vitamin C is reabsorbed in our kidneys back into our bloodstream

to maintain our vitamin C blood levels up at around 70 or 80 micromoles per liter.

That's the shaded region there,

which is what you reach at a vitamin C intake of about 200 mg a day.

So even if you take 10 times as much vitamin C supplements,

you know, 2000 mg a day, your body will just pee and poop it out

to keep your blood levels in that narrow range.

So based on these kind of data,

one might propose that 200 mg is the optimal daily intake of vitamin C.

You can confirm using disease data.

At what daily intake of vitamin C is there the lowest stroke risk, for example?

Apparently at about 200 mg a day.

While dietary vitamin C intake was associated with lower stroke risk,

vitamin C supplements were not,

which is consistent with the overall body of evidence

showing that antioxidant supplements in general

don't seem to protect against heart attacks or strokes.

But wait...

Can you get all up to an intake of 200 mg a day without taking supplements?

No problem.

Single servings of fruits and vegetables may have about 50 mg each,

so a measly 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day

could get you to ideal blood levels.

All It Takes Is One Boiled Egg to Control Sugar in The Blood - Duration: 2:22.

The blood sugar levels in your body rise after every time you eat something, especially if

you are a Type 2 diabetic or insulin resistant.

It is not easy to learn how to get your blood sugar levels under control.

It can take a newly diagnosed patient several months to figure out what they can and cannot

eat.

While figuring this out, a patient with Type 2 diabetes will likely have some spikes in

their sugar levels.

Having high blood sugar is important to take seriously, as it can cause some serious health

issues.

If you have high blood sugar for too long, it can cause you to be more at risk for heart

disease, stroke, kidney disease, vision issues and nervous system problems.

Luckily, there are many foods that you can consume which will help you to control your

blood sugar levels naturally, without medication.

One such remedy only contains three ingredients to keep your blood sugar stabilized.

You will need:

- Apple Cider Vinegar.

- Water.

- Hard-boiled egg.

Hard-boiled eggs are a great snack if you have diabetes because it is so high in protein.

The protein in the egg helps you to feel full without causing your blood sugar to rise quickly.

Protein slows down your digestive system and your body s absorption of glucose.

This is extremely beneficial to people with diabetes.

Apple cider vinegar makes your body more sensitive to insulin and helps your body from raising

your blood sugar quickly.

This is especially true after eating food that is high in starch.

There was one study done in particular that showed positive results with Type 2 diabetics

when they took apple cider vinegar before eating a meal high in glucose.

How to do it:

- Boil an egg in the afternoon, and peel it.

- Pierce the egg a 2-3 times using a toothpick.

- Put the egg in a mason jar and pour just enough vinegar over it so that it is completely

covered.

- Close the jar and let it soak overnight in your refrigerator.

- The next morning, drink a glass of warm water and eat your egg.

- Repeat this every day.

Soon, you will notice that your blood sugar levels have improved and are more stabilized.

Beginers tutorial: Easiest way to sidechain in FL Studio - Duration: 3:31.

Today I'm going to show you one of the

easiest and fastest ways to sidechain in

FL Studio. We're going to be using the

gross beat plugin for this.

Keep watching, and I'll show you how to

do it right after this: This is a firewalk

production. There are many ways to

sidechain. The method used depends on

what you're trying to achieve.

I'll get back to that later in more

advanced sidechaining tutorial. Today I'm

just going to focus on the easiest, and

fastest way to achieve a sidechain

effect in FL Studio. Note that i say

sidechain effect because we're not

going to be using a traditional

sidechain trigger and a compressor for this.

Instead we're going to be using gross

beat, which is a real-time audio stream,

playback, pitch, position, and value

manipulation effect plugin. It's not

real sidechaining in the true definition

of the word, but the effect is the same,

and for basic sidechaining it will work

just fine. If you have watched my what is

sidechaining video, you'll know that

sidechaining is basically just volume

ducking. If you haven't seen it yet, I

recommend that you go ahead and watch it.

That way you'll have a much better

understanding of what sidechaining

really is, and why we use it. You can find

the link for it in the description below.

now let's get back to setting this up:

Here I have a project with just a pad and

some chords. As you can hear there's no

sidechain yet.

The pad is routed to mixer insert number

one. So let's select that track.

Now, go to the effects section and click

here to load an effect. Select the

gross beat plugin. Click here to select the

sidechain preset. When I press play,

you can now hear that there's a

sidechain effect. You can tweak this to get

the exact sound you're after. You can

bend the curves by dragging them like so.

If you don't want such a strong side

chain effect, you can drag them down, say

fifty percent like this. Or you can use

the dry/wet knob on the mixer.

That's it, you now have a sidechain

effect set up in no time at all. I'm

uploading new tutorials and templates

every week, so make sure to subscribe to

this channel so that you won't miss out.

Is there any specific tutorial you would like

me to make? Or perhaps you have a

question? Feel free to post them in the

comments below.

I hope this was helpful. If you like this

Cumbria first UK county to trial new 'plastic road' - Duration: 3:03.

Cumbria first UK county to trial new plastic road

Cumbria is the first UK county to trial a new product used to create plastic roads

that are stonger and more durable.

The bitumen substitute, known as MR6, can be used in in standard asphalt mix and is

made from locally-sourced waste plastic by local firm, MacRebur.

The firm recently secured a ? 1m investment from Richard Branson following its win in

the start-up category of the 2016 Virgin Media Business Voom competition.

The product provides an opportunity to reduce both the carbon footprint of road construction

and the life costs of roads.

This is achieved by significantly reducing the amount of bitumen needed in the asphalt

mix, and also in the reduction of ongoing maintenance work due to the enhanced performance

of the road.

Cumbria County Council trialled the new product at a junction on to the A6 near Calthwaite,

in early December.

The work included resurfacing a section of the road where the current standard asphalt

has failed to be resilient to the number of heavy goods vehicles travelling to and from

the nearby Sand Quarry and water bottling plant.

The trial is expected to demonstrate the durability of MacRebur's product in a demanding location.

"Cumbria County Council is trialling our innovative MR6 waste plastic pellets in their road to

make this junction with the A6 stronger and longer lasting and reduce the risk of pot

holes.

We have selected plastic waste from Cumbria to use in the A6 road.

Cumbria is leading the way in innovation into their road networks and at the same time reducing

the plastic waste that is dumped into landfill sites, commented Toby McCartney, Founder

and Managing Director of MacRebur.

The new product has already been laid on private roads but this is the first time it has been

used on a public highway.

Cumbria is not the only area to take a keen interest in MacRebur's products - McCartney

has received requests from all over the world.

The product will also be used in road surface repairs following Virgin Media underground

cable works throughout the UK.

"I'm delighted that Cumbria has been the first council in the country to trial this fantastic

new road surface.

It will provide a stronger and more sustainable solution for road surfacing and filling potholes,

said Councillor Keith Little, Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport.

Subject to successful trials, which will be monitored during the next six months, a plan

to roll out the process to other roads in the county will be developed and implemented

in the New Year.

In Trump White House, Twitter Will Be In, 'Business As Usual' Is Out - Duration: 5:00.

In Trump White House, Twitter Will Be In, Business As Usual Is Out.

by Jack Davis.

Just as President-elect Donald Trump changed the dynamics of communicating with the American

people during his candidacy, his presidency will also usher in a new era of communication

between the White House and the American people.

Business as usual is over, Sean Spicer, Trumps incoming White House press secretary,

told radio host Hugh Hewitt on Thursday.

Spicer said that Trump, who blazed a new communication trail with his use of Twitter, will not be

wedded to White House precedents.

I think the thing that youve seen with Donald Trump is that he doesnt, he doesnt

look to the past and say Ive got to conform to these precedents. He figures out whats

the best way, Spicer said.

Spicer said the traditional White House press conference will remain, but will become part

of a new mix of options that are still under discussion.

Earlier this week, Spicer said Trump will continue his Twitter use as president, saying

it will be a really exciting part of the job.

I think that his use of social media in particular is gonna be something thats

never been seen before, Spicer told Rhode Island news station WPRI. He has this direct

pipeline in the American people, where he can talk back and forth.

I think that allows him to add an element of a conversation thats never occurred,

Spicer added. He can put his thoughts out and hear what theyre thinking in a way

that no ones ever been able to do before. I mean, he does communicate in a much bigger

way than theres ever been before, and I think thats gonna be just a really exciting

part of the job.

Spicer told Hewitt Trump has many options.

maybe we do some town hall, you know, Facebook town halls. Maybe we go out and solicit

input from Twitter. I dont, I mean, the answer is were looking at a lot of things,

he said.

Spicer was clear that direct communication with the American people, which often bypasses

the mainstream media, will continue to be a major part of Trumps connection with

the American people.

Theres no question that you see through the platforms that exist right now, whether

its Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, hes closing in like 45 million people that he

can have a conversation with, Spicer said.

while we have to sort of do these press conferences because theyre part of

the fabric of our country, if you will, there are also some new opportunities that we can

be utilizing to bring more people into the process and have a conservation with the American

people and not just limit it through the filter of the mainstream media, he added.

When Hewitt asked Spicer about the impact of the changes on the mainstream media, Spicer

noted, Business as usual is over.

Spicer said Trumps communications strategy is not based on what the media wants, but

what the people deserve.

the President-elect looks at this and says whats best for the country? How

do we put America and Americans first and stop trying to figure out how we cater to

you know, pundits and the establishment class, big donors. He is putting Americans first

and foremost, Spicer said.

Spicer noted that the Trump White House will be listening as well as talking.

when he talks about Americans first, he means I dont care what a bunch of

elites tell me or people at a dinner party. He wants to know what American workers care

about, what American families care about, whats going to help American businesses

grow.

The goal of changing the communications mix, Spicer said, is to bring more Americans

into communications activities, respect the American taxpayer more, and yield a better

result.

Spicer said that Trumps communications plan flows from an overall philosophy for

the administration as a while.

I think thats where sometimes the liberal media gets this wrong. Its not saying were

going to treat it like a business, quote unquote, he said.

Its making sure that theres a mentality that says can we make sure we get the American

people a better product for their money so that theyre enjoying their lives better,

they have more opportunity, were growing jobs, wages have a better thing, and you know,

that regulations are a fundamental part of them, where were looking at them and saying

what can we ensure we do so that were not hampering businesses from helping our own

people get more in their paycheck, he said.

New road to link UAE, Oman by next year - Duration: 1:42.

New road to link UAE, Oman by next year

Fujairah: Road trips between the UAE and Oman will soon be smoother and shorter as a 15km

extension of the new Fujairah expressway will be ready by next year, officials said on Wednesday.

The six-lane expressway, which is also called Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road, currently connects

Maleiha road with Fujairah, considerably reducing the distance and journey time from Dubai and

Sharjah to the east coast.

Further extension of the expressway will see the road bypassing the city of Fujairah, branching

out into two inter-connected highways, one linking with E99 or the East Coast Road and

the second meeting E102 or Sharjah-Kalba Road.

According to Abdullah Mohammad Bel Haif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development,

the new road will serve as the main road link between the two countries, promoting better

connectivity and more efficient movement of cargo and tourists.

This is going to be a vital link between the UAE and Sultanate of Oman.

This road will help promote greater trade between the two countries as well as increase

the social visits from both sides, said Al Nuaimi, who inspected the progress of work

on the Dh120-million project on Wednesday.

Serving 2,400 vehicles per direction per hour, the four-lane highway will help international

drivers, both commercial and recreational, to bypass the urban traffic in both Fujairah

and Kalba.

Bypassing the city traffic will mean saving a lot of time for travellers, while the link

will also shorten the distance compared to the other existing alternatives.

Al Nuaimi said that 30 per cent of phase one has been completed, while the rest of the

work will finish by the third quarter of this year.

The project, dubbed the Kalba Ring Road, circles the old and new towns of Kalba from three

sides, providing an alternative to the tourists as well as the residents.

Currently, the Hatta border serves as the main road link between the UAE and Oman, while

the Al Ain-Buraimi exit and the Khatam Malaha post in Kalba accessed either through Fujairah

or from the old Sharjah-Kalba road also serves the road travellers between the two countries.

Our aim is to make this road the main road transit link between the two countries, exchanging

goods and tourists.

The Hatta, Al Ain and other road links we have with Oman will continue to operate, but

this is going to be the strategic route, said Al Nuaimi.

The 4.5km phase 1 of the project, being built at a cost of Dh28.24 million, will be ready

by August this year.

The second phase, which will branch out at a point behind the Fujairah Airport, will

stretch for around 10 kilometres all the way to Khatam Malaha border post with Oman.

This highway will have the capacity to serve local as well as international road

traffic till 2025 and meets the highest infrastructure standards, said Aisha Abdullah Al Kindi,

who is the manager of the project.

Fujairah main road Another important project that will give a

facelift to the city of Fujairah is the redevelopment of Shaikh Hamad Bin Abdullah Road, which is

the main artery of the city around which all the development is taking place.

This is the main road of Fujairah, which is more like Dubais Shaikh Zayed Road for

us on a much smaller scale.

This road currently has four lanes and see a lot of congestion so the expansion will

prepare the city for future developments, said Mariam Karam Al Kaabi, who is overseeing

the project.

The expansion will see the road having an additional lane on each side apart from service

roads and two underpasses.

Work on the Dh250-million project is expected to start in a month and is likely to be ready

in three years.

We are currently working on the road detour plans as well as the diversion of underground

utility cables, once that is done, work will immediately start, said Al Nuaimi.
