Waching daily Jan 4 2017

So, like, all the stuff that you do, and, you know, things that you want, are, like,

you do them, because something good is going to happen.

And because like, people think good things are going to happen, they like, say, that

all the stuff we do we, like, do for good.

But, umm, there are like differences between the stuff that happens when you do one sort

of stuff, and you do other sorts of stuff.

Sometimes, like, when you do something, you only did something, and, you know, other times,

like, you do stuff, and by doing it, you made something.

So, the stuff you made, like, is better than the stuff you do in making it.

So, like, when that bitch Jessica, who is a total slut by the way, makes those stupid

bracelets, umm, those bracelets are, like, better than all that stuff she does to make

them.

But, you know, there are like all sorts of different stuff you can make and do, so, like,

there are like different things you do them for.

But sometimes, there are like, bigger things you want to do, but like you need to do a

lot of little things first, and, you know, the bigger thing is why you do them.

So, oh my God, let tell you, like, when us girls do our hair, and we do our nails, and

go shopping, we do it, to, like, look fabulous.

So, looking fabulous, is like the reason we do all that stuff and so all the other reasons

are, like totally less important than looking fabulous.

Cos like, we do out hair and nails not cos like we want great hair and nails, but, like

totally to look fabulous!

So, the bigger reason, you know, we do stuff for, it like more important than the smaller

reasons we do stuff for.

So being fabulous, is like more important that having awesome hair, even though, you

know, you need awesome hair to look fabulous.

But, if like, we do our hair to look fabulous, then there is like a reason why we want to

look fabulous.

And, duh, there totally is a reason for why we want to look fabulous.

But, like, oh my God, there can't be, like reasons for reasons why we want to look fabulous,

cos like, then we wouldn't like know why we do stuff.

I mean, as if, can you imagine?

So, there totally has got to be a reason we do stuff we do for like no other reason.

And that like, makes total sense, you know?

And that betch Jessica, she was like, "umm, we totally do stuff cos, like, umm, we want

to feel pleasure."

And I was like, umm, whatever betch!

Not even, like you can do stuff, for not like pleasure but like cos you don't want to

be ignorant and stuff.

Cos like, you want to do stuff for pleasure but then like there is a reason why you want

pleasure.

And so, I was like "umm, we do stuff cos we want to be happy" and like, there is

totally no reason why we want to be happy other than like to be happy.

So like, totally, oh my god, we like do everything cos, like we want to be happy.

Like Seriously.

Jorge Linares "studying Mikey Garcia for a long time" Open to Lomachenko & Flangan fights - Duration: 5:27.

Look truthfully taking advantage of relaxing at the moment but vacations are over because I'm leaving to Japan to start my camp

because of the rematch with Anthony Crolla . The WBC will decide if it will be for the diamond belt or just defend my WBA belt now that

I dont have the title and Mikey Garcia fighting for it in January. But well the promoters will figure that out with the WBC

and like i've always said you gotta take advantage of opportunity and you gotta keep focus because this year is going to be hard for me.

No it was hard fight....(you couldve made it a easier fight) yea sure..I thought I had the opportunity to get a knockout

in the 8th round, it presented itself in the 6th round but I hurt both of my hands...they felt really bad

from the 6th on I could only work with my left hand. When they took the gloves off my right hand was super swollen

thank god it wasnt because of the fracture I had but I prepared for 12 rounds and the important thing was my hand was raised

and there was no doubts, I won super clear but if the rematch happens, I think the opportunity is there to get a knockout

Look its because when the contract was made with Crolla there was talk of whoever wins there should be a rematch

because the people knew and promoters knew its a interesting fight. Not one that there would be a one sided knockout in which Linares gets knocked out

or Crolla gets knocked out. It would be a close fight and that what happened. The people liked it, they loved it but people say there was doubts

its a lie! People know I won clearly but if the rematch happens I'll take it with no problem and I know I can steal the show

but with a decision much more clearer and the most clear would be a knockout. I'm not saying I'm going to knock him out

or go and find the knockout but I think I can steal the show and if I have to go to England I don't have a problem with it

then after that return to the United States to find a big fight over here.

Thats gonna be a good fight because Dejan is hungry, Mikey is coming back and hes in his prime right now

the inactivity has affected him just a little bit but hes a champion, a boxer than has alot of experience in his career as a boxer

but im being sincere I dont think Mikey should have too many problems in that fight. I wish him the best hopefully

my heart is more with him because I see a fight with him down the road so it would be interesting.

Now its a question of what will happen because nothing is written in boxing. So may the best win and we will see if a fight with me happens down the line

Wow it would be a really great fight.

Who has the advantage?

No we have boxing that is very similar. Hes stronger, comes forward, more pressure but I have the technique

so it would be a interesting combination because he would come forward trying to find me, I would box, look for my speed

I remember the fight with Chavez vs. De La Hoya, Tito Trinidad, I study so much but believe me I've been studying Mikey Garcia for a very long time

because I see him in my future fighting with me and if the opportunity comes it would be interesting but the important thing is to

focus on whats coming which would be Anthony Crolla and more ahead think what can be done. Theres mention of Lomachenko

theres talks of Flanagan the other English guy so we will see what happens for us in 2017.

Sure why not, I would like to theres talks of doing that. I have no problem doing that if thats the plan but if everything goes right

I think I'll do two or three more at 135 and then I'd move up to 140lbs

Germany: New Years Message by Merkel's Opponent, Dr. Frauke Petry - Duration: 11:49.

Ladies and gentlemen, dear compatriots

2016 will stay in our memories as the year terror came to Germany

We experienced attacks of radical islamists in Würzburg, Ansbach and Berlin

People were taken from us, many others were injured severely

I'd like to wish all those who have lost a loved much strength in overcoming these horrendous events

I wish the injured a swift and preferably full recovery

My thanks particularly goes out to the police officers today, who fight terrorists at the risk of their lives and pursue criminals daily

These officers must carry out their duties according to the will of political decision-makers

whilst being under-staffed and under-equipped

Even so, the police is often put under general suspicion in public

Their actions questioned, even when officers are defending our lives

I would also like to thank all the paramedics who help the injured and victims of crime, not uncommonly risking their own health in the process

I thank all tax-payers, the very people who come up with the necessary billions that finance the consequences of a gigantic political mistake

We consider the limitless immigration policies of the current federal government to be utterly wrong

Even so, I would like to express my recognition to all who, through their work,

first filled the coffers of the state out of which the money is now being distributed so freely without asking the donors

Last but not least, I would like to thank everyone who went to the state elections in 2016

In all states, we had a significantly higher turnout than in the previous years

Germany has not been this politicised in a long time

Many people who had given up and withdrew are now making use of their right to vote again

This is good for the democracy in our country

Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) is often accused of being a party that wants to go back to the past

It depends on which past is meant by that

There was once a Federal Republic of Germany without islamic terror and without exploding crime rates

A past in which a woman being dragged behind a car by a rope would have been unthinkable (see description)

Unthinkable that women and girls would be mass sexually assaulted and raped

There was a time when very few people were scared to openly voice their opinion

A time when we didn't have a state-financed thought police on the internet

A time without a systematic breach of laws by the state

I know that many people long to be back in those peaceful times

We want to make those past times a thing of the future

Dear compatriots, 2016 was a year full of contradictions

On one hand, the so-called "fight against the right-wing" (Kampf gegen Rechts) was conjured up hysterically

Which is, however, increasingly being directed at the mainstream middle class

Simultaneously, it was a year in which we experienced brutal crimes committed by migrants

These violent criminals were let into our country uncontrolled and in violation of our basic law (Grundgesetz)

Of course by far not all migrants are religious extremists or criminals

Many truly did have good reason to flee from their countries

But especially in their interest, it's so important to identify radical islamists, sentence criminals and resolutely deport them

The federal government is failing at this task

Those who point that out are not agitators, not even right-wing populists but simply realists

2016 was a year full of contradictions

I want to remind of facts that were lost in the mainstream news

Greece, despite the billions in monetary gifts, did not recover but is in fact as ill as ever

Just that Germans today must vouch for additional billion Euro loans

2016 was also the year in which the European central bank pursued its fatal zero-interest policy

pillaging the assets of small savers in order to artificially keep the failed Euro alive

2016 was the year in which every last one of us was able to comprehend that the renewable energy policy has failed

The citizens will receive the bill for this from tomorrow onwards, once again energy prices are rising,

Once again billions are distributed from the bottom to the top

In 2016, it became apparent to every realist that Germany and Europe hasn't been this isolated since 1949

The East Europeans as well as the West Europeans are turning away from Germany's special path

Dear compatriots, 2016 was the year in which the political establishment reached new levels of cynicism

The female mayor of Cologne recommended that all women protect themselves from sex attackers and rapists by keeping an arm lengths distance

The chancellor (Merkel) on the other hand recommended playing the flute as a defence strategy against Islamism (see description)

The governments helplessness and also its indifference towards those they govern cannot be illustrated more clearly

2016 however also demonstrated that a change is possible

We were witnesses of a historic event

The election of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States

Even if the political sphere appears immobile, even if the politicians are seemingly firmly established, America has shown it's possible to vote them out

"We want our country back", was Trump's central election campaign message

It was a "declaration of war" against the establishment

Ladies and gentlemen, the Brits also said "We want our country back" some time ago

The election of Trump was, in a way, the American version of Brexit

"We want our country back" is also what many Austrians, French, Belgians and Swedes say

The Zeitgeist ist changing

AfD's (Alternative for Germany) election successes is also proof thereof

We too want our country back

We want it back from the "Merkel government" before she has ruined it with her grotesque politics

We want it back from the Eurocracy in Brussels, which wants an entire continent to submit to their centralised regime

We want it back from the European central bank, which is devaluing our money

We want it back from the clans and gangs who moved here and are terrifying entire neighbourhoods

We want it back from the liberal media landscape that has created a climate of permanent suspicion and moral blackmail

We want to break free from the chains that have made this country forget how to breathe freely

The reasons for the political change in the U.S.A. are being denied by the political class in Germany and also by most journalists to this day

In Western societies, a large rift is dividing the politically correct establishment and the citizens, who fight for their existence by going to work every day

The reactions to Brexit or the election of Donald Trump were more excessive and foolhardy in Germany than in any other European country

It must be a one-off occurrence that a German government leader (Merkel) would want to dictate moral

requirements to the elected U.S. president in order to ensure a future cooperation

Of all things, from a chancellor who made breaching the law her maxim

Germany, as she always likes to say, is a strong country

That's thankfully true

However, Germany is losing more and more of its original strength every year under this chancellor

This strength consists of the diligence of many workers, craftsmen and innovative scientists

Germany remains to be a country of ideas and patents, of inventors and thinkers

2017 will be the year we must refocus on our strength

It's not without alternative that Germany is at this stage merely mediocre when it comes to education worldwide

It's not without alternative that German students know less about math than students in Singapore

That 12 year olds are educated about sexual practices in this country, instead of about poets and a basic knowledge of the sciences

It's not without alternative that the crime rate of immigrants is rising

And its not without alternative that billions of the national wealth is not being spent on German interests

In the coming year, crucial elections will be taking place in Germany and neighbouring countries

Parliamentary elections in the Netherlands, presidential elections in France,

On the 14th of May, the so-called small parliamentary elections in North Rhine-Westphalia

And in autumn, the elections for the 19th German Bundestag

Many people tell themselves "those up there" do what they want anyway

What am I able to change with my vote?

The truth is, there is only one democratic way to stop the establishment from following it's wrong path at our cost

And it's your vote

It's possible to fundamentally change the politics that are harming us

It's possible to defend ones own convictions

It's possible to make Germany go from the madhouse of Europe to a once again respected member of the community

Dear compatriots, what we want is a free Europe of sovereign people, not a Brussels-based central government

The Germany we strive for will be open to all who want to and are able to be active members of a liberal, constitutional society

those who work, do research, invest, learn, teach, create art, or enjoy

and to those who behave in a decent manner

But it's not open to those who pillage this country and its taxpayers, attack or want to missionize

The Germany we strive for will be open to all who integrate themselves,

but not to those who want to live by their own laws and who direct demands at the German society

despite not contributing anything to this society

We strive for a Germany that focuses on its actual potential, the strengths of its skilled workers, engineers, scientists and artists

Unlike a multicultural utopia, this goal is a realistic one and one that is shared by the majority of Germans

The majority of Germans is open and hospitable, not foolish and naive

Dear compatriots, for 2017 I wish you and all of us for it to be a year we can ward off terror

A year in which many things will change for the better, a year of reason

But also a year in which you will hopefully be able to spend more time with your families

Perhaps also a year in which you may rediscover our countries traditions

Let me end with verses from one of the most beautiful German poems, from Berthold Brechts Children's Hymn

Grace spare not and spare no labour,

Passion nor intelligence

That a decent German nation Flourish as do other lands

And because we'll make it better, Let us guard and love our home,

Love it as our dearest country As the others love their own.

I wish you blessed year 2017

Best DIY Hot Oil Treatment for Natural Hair - Duration: 5:28.

Hey curlfriends and welcome back!

Today I'm going to show you guys how to use a hot oil treatment to combat thinning edges,

split ends as well as dry hair.

I recently showed you guys my winter wash day routine.

Whenever I do my hot oil treatments, I just go ahead and shampoo my hair then I move into

my hot oil treatment.

I'm using this applicator bottle to make the application process a lot more easier.

I can get to my scalp better with the nozzle.

The nozzle makes this a nice, seamless application process.

The first technique that I'm going to show you guys is for thinning edges.

Don't be alarmed if you have thinning edges, it is a common natural hair problem.

I'm going to show you guys today how you can combat that.

I'm starting off on shampooed hair.

My hair is a bit damp.

You want to use an old t-shirt for this hot oil treatment.

This oil will stain.

I'm focusing the oil on my hairline itself.

I'm just going to apply the oil along my hairline.

I'm going to use the fingertips to go ahead and massage this oil in.

You want to take your time and make sure that you're covering your entire hairline and rubbing

this in very nice and gentle.

Just make sure that you're getting into that scalp.

Massaging the scalp will allow the blood flow to flow much more easier and it will allow

the oil to soak in.

The next technique that we're going to do is for dry scalp or psoriasis, any of you

guys that suffer with dry scalp.

I'm just going to split my hair into 4 separate sections just so that I can get through the

thickness of my hair more easier.

I'm just clipping those away and I'm going to start with the left section.

I'm just going through with horizontal parts, medium sized parts.

I just want to make sure that I'm getting as much oil on my scalp itself as possible.

I'm just splitting it into small sections, rubbing that oil through.

I'll go back in with my fingertips to distribute the oil throughout my entire my scalp and

make sure the entire section is covered.

Then I'll just twist the hair back up, clip it away and move on to the next section.

A lot of times with dry scalp or flaky scalp; it's really just hydration of the scalp, your

hair is missing a lot of hydration.

This oil will help to loosen up those scabs and allow them to rinse away whenever you

use your shampoo again.

Like I said, this is really good for dry scalp, psoriasis, any kind of dryness of the scalp.

You can also use this as a pre-poo.

Apply this to your scalp, let it sit for a little bit, then go in with your shampoo,

so that it comes off with the shampoo.

This Jamaican Black Castor Oil with Mongogo and Cotton Tee is really great for unblocking

the pores and allowing your scalp to breathe.

This is great for scalp treatments!

We're also going to work on these split ends, if you suffer from split or dry ends.

You can apply the oil directly to your ends and saturate the entire hair running the oil

through.

After I get the oil on to the hair, I personally like to twirl the ends just to make sure that

everything is fully saturated and that oil can penetrate those dry ends.

Last but not least, dry hair.

If you suffer from dry hair, here's a little trick.

You can use just a basic hot oil treatment.

Just put the oil directly onto to the hair.

Move it throughout the hair, smooth it down, just get it throughout the entire hair.

Or you can use a mask, which I'll show you how to create in a little bit.

This Mongongo Oil has a lot of nutrients, Vitamin E, just a lot of great, exotic properties

that's going to help to condition the hair, restructure it and hydrate it.

This is a great oil for dry hair!

Here's the mask that I was telling you guys about.

You can use any conditioner of your choice.

Just apply 1/2 of the conditioner to 1/2 of the oil to create this mixture.

The conditioner itself is going to give this mixture a nice, thick consistency to lay on

top of your hair.

There's your homemade mask.

Literally just 2 ingredients.

If you're on a budget and you can't afford any of the shampoo's and conditioners that

include oils in them, this is a great way to DIY it yourself at home.

Grabbing a generous amount of our newly constructed mixture, I'm just going to apply this to my

hair.

I'm just going to go section by section to make sure that everything is fully saturated!

You guys want to make sure that when you're doing anything with these hot oil treatments

you want to make sure that you're using a really old shirt.

You will end up dropping the oil on your clothing.

A lot of times the oils do stain so just keep that in mind.

Last but not least, after you finish figuring out which hot oil treatment you would like

to use, you could either use a shower cap and allow your body heat to create the greenhouse

effect and heat up your hair underneath this cap.

You can also opt for a blow dryer attachment like I did.

I leave this on my hair for about 15 minutes minimum, up to 45 minutes.

Then, I'll just take down my hair and rinse and wash away this mask.

As you guys can see, my hair is super soft and moisturized.

This oil worked absolute wonders on my hair.

I love using exotic and pure oils that don't have a lot of chemicals in them.

I'm just going to go ahead and rinse this out and proceed with my styling whether I

go for a protective style or straighten my hair.

I hope you guys enjoyed this little hot oil treatment 101 video.

Be sure to checkout the description box below for more information.

This oil is available in your local Walgreens.

I love you guys and I'll see you guys in the next video!

ACTIVE AND KINDER, COMMITTED TO

LIVE IN THE MOMENT.

MANY PEOPLE HAD TO REALLY

SPRUCE UP THE SPACE WHERE THEY

SPEND MOST OF THEIR TIME, THEIR

HOME.

BUT YOU KNOW, BEAUTIFUL DAY

COURT IS NOT HAVE TO BREAK THE

BANK.

IN FACT, TODAY WE WILL SHOW YOU

A COUPLE OF NEAT IDEAS THAT CAN

REALLY GIVE YOUR HOME THAT

COMFY AND COZY FEEL WITHOUT

PINCHING PENNIES TO DO IT.

JOINING ME NOW IS CINDY AND EMA

RUST, A MOTHER DAUGHTER

DESIGNING DUO TO PRIDE

THEMSELVES IN DO-IT-YOURSELF

AFFORDABLE HOME DECOR.

THANK YOU FOR JOINING US.

AND I CALL YOU A DESIGNING DUO,

BUT THERE ARE ACTUALLY THREE OF

YOU, CINDY?

>> YES, MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER

AND WAS NOT ABLE TO BE WITH US

TODAY.

SHE IS A VERY IMPORTANT

APPOINTMENT THAT SHE HAS TO

KEEP, SO SHE COULD NOT BE HERE,

BUT SHE IS CERTAINLY

PARTICIPATING.

>> WELL, SHE IS SURELY MESS.

EMMA, I AM GLAD YOU'RE HERE,

AND YOU BEEN WORKING ON TURNING

YOUR HOUSE INTO A HOME ON A

LESS THAN A $100 BUDGET.

>> YES.

>> HOW IN THE WORLD YOU DO

THAT?

>> I ACTUALLY HAVE TWO CREDIT A

LOT OF THIS BACK TO MY MOTHER.

GROWING UP, SHE ALWAYS TAUGHT

US SHE DOES A VERY VALUABLE

LESSON TO USE WHAT WE HAVE ON

HAND.

AND ALTHOUGH I HATED IT WHEN I

WAS A CHILD BECAUSE OF COURSE,

YOU KNOW SHE WAS SOMETIMES AND

THIS A BOX OF SOCKS TO MAKE

BARBIE CLOTHES WITH, IN MY

ADULT LIFE, I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO

TURN THAT INTO DESIGNING THINGS

FROM A HOME WITH THINGS I HAVE

ON HAND, OR VERY INEXPENSIVELY.

>> YEAH.

>> I KNOW THAT WHEN I FIRST HAD

MY VERY FIRST APARTMENT YEARS

AND YEARS AGO, RIGHT OUT OF

COLLEGE, I SPENT HUNDREDS OF

DOLLARS ON NEW FURNITURE, AND

IT ENDED UP JUST SITTING IN

STORAGE.

EVOLVED, I GOT NOTHING FOR IT,

AND I THOUGHT TO MYSELF, AFTER

THAT, I WILL NEVER, EVER, SPEND

A LOT OF MONEY ON HOME DECOR

AGAIN.

>> IN FACT, YOU'VE EVEN FOUND

ITEMS ALONGSIDE OF THE ROAD?

>> I HAVE!

ESPECIALLY WITH MY MOM, AND SHE

IS ACTUALLY THE ONE WHO FOUND

IT.

WE WERE IN MID CONVERSATION,

AND SHE SAID STOP THE CAR!

AND I THOUGHT WHAT IN THE WORLD

IS GOING ON.

SO I TURNED AROUND AND SHE SAID

THERE IS A TABLE ON THE SIDE OF

THE ROAD, SO WE WENT BACK AND

THERE WAS AN ADORABLE LITTLE

PINK TABLE THAT IS NOW MY

CENTER CONSOLE.

>> THAT IS IT RIGHT THERE WE.

>> YES, THAT IS IT WE DID

NOTHING TO IT.

WE JUST HOSE IT OFF AND GAVE IT

A GOOD CLEAN, AND THAT IS HOW

IT SITS.

>> WELL, MANY PEOPLE ARE

PUTTING THEIR CHRISTMAS TREE

AWAY AFTER THE LOOK, AND THEY

CAN REALLY START LOOKING DROP

AFTER A WHILE.

AND YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A WAY TO

KIND OF SPRUCE UP I GUESS NO

PLAN INTENDED.

[LAUGHTER]

>> YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE?

>> I DID.

MY DAD TAUGHT ME A $20

CHRISTMAS TREE I THINK ONE YEAR

WHEN I WAS IN COLLEGE, AND THAT

IS IT RIGHT THERE.

I PUT IT TOGETHER AFTER YEARS

AND YEARS AND YEARS, THE

BRISTLES WOULD JUST FALL OFF,

AND I STARTED TO REALLY HATE

IT.

MY MOM WAS GETTING RID OF SOME

GARLAND ONE YEAR, AND I THOUGHT

TO MYSELF, WHY DON'T I JUST USE

THE GARLAND TO FILL IN THE BARE

SPOTS?

NOW, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT

TREE, AND I COULDN'T STOP

LOOKING AT IT THIS YEAR.

IT WAS JUST REALLY FULL, AND IT

LOOKED LIKE A REAL EXPENSIVE

TREATMENT REALLY, IT WAS JUST A

$20 TREE.

>> NOW, CINDY, YOU REFURBISH

FURNITURE.

CAN YOU GIVE US A FEW IDEAS?

>> I DO.

FOR 30 YEARS OF MY MARRIED

LIFE, I HAVE BOUGHT FROM YARD

SALES AND GARAGE SALES, THE

SIDE OF THE ROAD, OBVIOUSLY.

I HAVE SEEN THINGS.

AUCTIONS AND THRIFT STORES, MY

FAVORITE THING IS TO FIND AN

OLD PIECE THAT STOPPED BEING

LOVED, AND TO TAKE IT HOME AND

JUST LOVE IT UP AND MAKE IT A

BEAUTIFUL PIECE.

I ENJOY DOING IT, TAKING PIECES

FROM MY CHILDHOOD, PIECES OF

FURNITURE THAT MY MOTHER HAS

GIVEN ME, AND REDOING IT TO

MATCH MY HOUSE.

SO I AM TAKING SOMETHING OLD

AND MAKING IT INTO SOMETHING

NEW.

AND I LOVE THE IDEA OF THAT.

>> LIKE A BASE, TURNING IT INTO

A LENGTHY.

>> WELL I HAVEN'T DONE THAT.

MY DAUGHTER DID THAT ONE.

>> I DID THAT ONE.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE TO THROW

THINGS AWAY, SO I HAD A REALLY

PRETTY FACE THAT HOUSED SOME

QUARKS FOR A WHILE, AND I ENDED

UP WANTING TO KEEP IT, BUT WHEN

I OUTGREW MY QUICK COLLECTION,

HAD TO MOVE IT, I TURNED IT

OVER AND DRILLED A HOLE IN IT

WITH SOME HELP.

I DID NOT DO THAT MYSELF.

DAD ACTUALLY HELPED ME WITH

THAT, AND ACTUALLY, MY DAD DID

THAT.

>> YES.

>> AND I HAVE A LITTLE BLANKET

THAT I PUT TOGETHER MYSELF, AND

I POPPED A SHADE OVER THE TOP

OF IT, AND NOW I HAVE A LAMB.

>> THAT IS AWESOME.

USE MAPS FOR WALL ART?

>> I DO.

I LIVE IN CHESAPEAKE CITY

MARYLAND, WHICH IS IN NORTHERN

MARYLAND, AND I HAVE A SMALL

LITTLE MAP OF CHESAPEAKE CITY

THAT MY DAD ACTUALLY FRAMED OUT

OF OLD BARN WOOD FOR ME.

SO I THINK THE TOTAL COST TO ME

WAS ABOUT THREE DOLLARS FOR THE

PRINT.

AND THEN OF COURSE, MY DAD DID

THE BARN WOOD.

>> YOU GUYS OBVIOUSLY HAVE A

PASSION FOR THIS.

AND CINDY, YOU HAVE BEEN DOING

THIS FOR A WHILE.

WHY DO YOU LOVE IT?

>> WELL FOR ONE THING, I

BELIEVE THAT WE ARE ALL

CREATIVE, AND WE ALL HAVE

SOMETHING WITHIN US THAT IS

CREATED.

IT'S JUST A MATTER OF GETTING

IT OUT.

SOMEONE MIGHT SAY YOU ARE MORE

CREATIVE THAN I AM, BUT MAYBE

I'M JUST OPENED UP TO THAT PART

OF MY LIFE MORE OF MORE THAN

SOMEONE ELSE'S.

I WOULD ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO

JUST LET THAT PART OF YOUR LIFE

OPEN UP BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH

FUN.

THERE IS SUCH A REPORT YOU TAKE

SOMETHING THAT WAS FALLING

APART AND UGLY, NOT ATTRACT AT

ALL AND TO TURN IT INTO

SOMETHING ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL

AND USEFUL.

AND I LOVE THE IDEA OF NOT JUST

ADDING TO THE LANDFILLS THAT WE

HAVE, BUT REUSING.

>> REPURPOSE THEM.

>> EXACTLY, REPURPOSE AND BUT

WE ALREADY HAVE.

>> I'M SO GLAD THAT YOU BROUGHT

THAT UP.

January 2017's Rhyme of the Month: "Little Red Box" - Duration: 2:10.

Welcome to the Enoch Pratt Free Library State Library Resource Center's Handy Dandy Rhymes

The rhyme of the month is "A Little Red Box"

I wish I had a little red box to keep my mommy in

I'd take her out and go [muah muah muah]

and put her right back in

I wish I had a little red box to put my daddy in

I'd take him out and go [mmm mmm mmm]

and put him right back in

I wish I had a little red box to put all my friends in

I'd take them out and go "how do you do?"

and put them right back in

Now, you don't need a red box In fact, it doesn't have to be red, or a box!

Anything you hold in your hand will do Or you can just use your hands like this

I wish I had a little box to keep my mommy in

I'd take her out and go [mauh muah muah]

and put her right back in

I wish I had a little box to put my daddy in

I'd take him out and go [mmm mmm mmm]

and put him right back in

I wish I had a little box to put all my friends in

I'd take them out and go "how do you do?"

and put them right back in

Thank you!

Working in the Theatre: School of Rock - Duration: 15:02.

[music]

If you want to perform, you gotta follow these rules; you have to practice a lot, because

without practice you can't really go far.

You cannot look out into the audience, it's tempting, but you cannot do it because then

the audience feels kind of weird.

Plus, they're not in the scene.

Third, you have to build up your self confidence before you go onto the stage.

Even if you're playing somebody timid, like Lawrence, it takes a lot of guts to project still.

You can't whisper everything, or else the audience won't understand anything that you're saying.

[Over speaker system] Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, or evening, which it is.

It's seven o'clock, this is your half hour call.

At this evening's performance...

[continues]

[chatter]

I started off playing with my ukulele at an audition, and then they're like, "Oh, cool, great.

Bring your bass next time." and I'm like, I don't really play the bass, this must

be a mistake.

And then my dad's like, "Oh, maybe we should go to Guitar Center.

It's a good excuse to get a bass."

And then I learned Teacher's Pet for the next audition, then I kept getting callbacks

and then I got the role.

I had to send in a video audition because they wanted me to come out here in three days

and I'm from Portland, Oregon, so that was kind of hard.

And then after that for my two callbacks I had to fly out for both of them and we did

dance calls and singing calls.

[chatter]

[vocal warm-ups]

For my ninth birthday, my dad finally got me a singing lesson; I've always begged

him for it.

I actually auditioned for the original cast, didn't make it in then, but then I got a

manager and got a little older and I auditioned, not too long ago, actually.

[vocal warm-ups]

When I started with musical theatre, I found out that I wasn't very good at dancing and

acting, so I took lessons appropriate to my weaknesses.

[show lyrics]

Thank you, young rockers!

The first time I ever played on a stage, it was for my class at lunch.

They had a talent show and I just went on and I never had stage fright.

And now, instead of at a lunch meeting, I'm playing in front of fifteen hundred people

and it feels the same.

I just pray to God before I go on stage and I don't think about the audience because

the audience isn't really there right now when we're performing, it's just us in the classroom.

You're just kind of in the moment and if I'm in another role, if I'm a different

person, I feel like I'm not nervous.

When I get on stage, I feel this thing called "the rush", which is the excitement and

the fear mixed up together that creates this magical sensation in your body,

which makes it feel like play time.

Because it's what you love.

My routine every day is I get up, go to the shower, go to Starbucks, get my tea for my

voice and then I'll come to tutoring or I'll go to school and then after that I

do the show and then after that, I'll practice my guitar and go to sleep.

It's basically eat, music, sleep, repeat.

A lot of the kids are home schooled, a lot of the kids go to brick and mortar school,

so it really depends on the kid.

Right now I'm home schooling but a lot of kids are doing online school or going to school

so we're all on different schedules.

My mom works at the middle school and she's sending me the work that they're doing in

class and I just do it at home.

I go to a brick and mortar school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays but on Wednesdays,

we have an earlier show so we come here to do our work with our tutors.

For every day of school they miss, they're required to do three hours of schooling.

They come in to school for three hours and then go right to the theatre.

In rehearsal, sometimes it's crazy because they have to rehearse all day; they have a

day of rehearsal and we have to fit school in.

So sometimes they'll do an hour of school, two hours of rehearsal, take a lunch, then

an hour of school, then two hours of rehearsal.

The good thing about most of these kids is they're very good individual workers and

they understand that part of their job is school.

If they don't do the school part, they can't do the Broadway part.

It's illegal.

The difference between going to a real school and what I do now, just doing work at home;

it's a lot different because I don't need to wake up at a certain time, which is awesome

but also, I'm not around other kids, which is sometimes really weird.

I'd rather go to regular school.

You actually have your friends there; like I'm just by myself, just doing my work.

At my old school, since I was in elementary, we got to do recess and I'd hang out with

them all the time but it's different now.

These kids are very much forced to be adults, even though they're kids.

So they have a lot of responsibility, so we really try to make sure that they can connect

with kids their own age and relate to each other about how it is to do this kind of stuff

together.

Before I moved here, I lived in California and it's a big change from the beach to

a big, busy city.

I also left my mom, brother and sister back in California.

I'm living here with my dad so I was nervous about that, but I did it.

My mom and my other two little sisters are back home in Oregon 'cause they still have

to do school and my mom has work, so my dad and I are here right now.

But I miss them all the time, they miss me.

But we FaceTime every day and my family's really cool about it.

When I got involved in this job, Joann Hunter asked me to be the assistant dance captain,

and I don't have actually any formal dance training.

She asked me primarily because of the children and making sure they know I'm someone they

can go to if they need anything on stage, off stage, it doesn't matter.

I'm there for them.

[chatter]

They are in an age group where they're really in the epicenter of growing up, so they're

curious, they're sometimes confused and it feels so rewarding to ever be able to answer

any of their questions.

[dance instructions]

They bring such a fresh energy every single day; it's like you never really know what

you're going to get.

There's just this energy in the building that they put off that is so exciting.

[All shouting] Five, six, here we go!

As an adult, we have a totally different life.

We have to put most of the money that we make away in different places and pay bills and

that kind of thing.

These children have no concept of that.

They're not there for the money.

I don't even think of it as work, really.

I love doing it every day so I don't think of it as oh, I'm going to work.

I think of it like, yay!

Going to work!

Another day to just jump around on stage!

[dance instruction]

It's so cool to be on a stage and all of your thoughts clear, you don't have to worry

about school or anything you have in the real world.

You're just in this moment.

[dance instruction]

The most fun part of the day is, well, there's two times.

Walking in front of the theater and seeing my picture up just makes my heart melt every

time I see it and after the show when I walk out and I'm doing signatures; that was once

me in that line, waiting to get signatures and now I'm the one giving out the signatures.

A lot of the kids either get too tall or they outgrow the part.

I'm leaving in November.

It's very hard to do eight shows a week but I've had such a fun time.

It's been a great experience for me, hanging out with these awesome kids every day and

I feel like I've made life-long friends.

[Ensemble singing] When the world has screwed you and crushed you in its fist, when the

way you're treated has got you good and pissed; there's been one solution, since

the world began!

Don't just sit and take it!

Stick it to the man!

That movie, School of Rock, made me play guitar.

I've never been an actor, but now I am and they taught me how to sing better and act better.

And maybe, who knows?

Maybe I'll be a Broadway star one day.

[Ensemble singing] Rant and rave and scream and shout and stick your middle finger out!

And wreck your room and rip your jeans and show 'em what rebellion means!

[Singing] Why march in someone else's caravan?

Especially those you're so much cooler than?

[Ensemble singing] Stick it to the man!

Stick it to the man!

Stick it to the man!

Stick it to the man!

Do you dive into big life changes? - Duration: 0:50.

Hey friends! So I've been thinkin a lot about

this book. It's called "The Life Changing Magic of

Tidying Up". And, in it they say just rip off the

the band-aid and then you'll be tidy. So,

get rid of all of your stuff all at once, put

everything in its place all at once, and

then your life is changed. And i think

this can work for veganism for

a lot of us. Especially if you're

like me and you like havin excitement

in life. And blue things. So, I know I did

it quickly. If this appeals to you, do it!

That's awesome, I love it!

We just want you to remember that you

always have support and you're never alone. So,

it's going to be a lot easier if you can

reach out and have a community.
