Ask Karl Bryan: What's the number #1 strategy for getting coaching clients? - Duration: 7:15.
Hey party beeps Karl Bryan here comin atcha
bright and early this winter morning for another edition of ask Karl Bryan I got
a question here from Russ Karl what's the number one strategy you use for
getting coaching clients? Okay um so good question here um I more than any I'm
gonna go for a little walk here beeps more than anything what I like I'm
hoping what Russ is talking about here is that he's looking to establish one
marketing strategy and then dominate it I think that's fantastic that's a good
line of thinking so that is like rather like what most coaches are doing from my
experience I see him doing a whole bunch of little things a little bit of cold
calling a little bit of speaking a little bit of joint ventures a little
bit of reaching out a little bit of family and friends and this sorta you
know a little bit of social media etc what I would recommend is that you get
one and you really dominate okay and then once again I like to go to the
Guru's and see what they're doing Tony Robbins as Tony Robbins because as in
his infomercial okay totally dominate him back I believe to this day every
hour of every day that infomercial guys with bumpy oh here guys I'm going for a
bit of a hike and in the snow but so Tony Robbins totally dominated that and
again that infomercial to this day runs constantly Robert Kiyosaki he's got his
books Dan Kennedy he's got copywriting Gary
Vaynerchuk he completely dominates social media when I built my coaching
company I built the five and a half million dollar coaching company we
totally dominated local live events marketing boot camps we had of going you
know day in day out we do one at 7:00 a.m. we do one at noon we do one at 6:00
p.m. and get in get out and we'd sign coaching clients like um you know
falling off of a log in fact my first ever business coach actually here's a
good story for you my first ever business coach he made over three
hundred thousand dollars in his first six months as a coach with me write your
story so and basically though to be clear
here I'm not magic and I don't want to you know over-promised or you know make
some you know some story like is though every single coach I've ever met it ever
worked with me has done 300 grand in six months that's not the case this was my
first guy and I knew exactly who I was looking for so basically what it was is
he owned a networking organization okay so he had like a few hundred business
owners already paying him three or four hundred bucks to basically be the you
know to run the think of being if you know what being AI is then you know what
he was running so he owned a networking organization and he absolutely blitzed
it and one of the first questions I asked him when I sat down with him I
said you know what do you sell for twenty five thousand dollars which I
often ask coaches that's a question I'd be asking you what do you sell for
twenty five thousand dollars very few people say any like have anything and
most coaches don't have a twenty-five thousand dollar program because quite
frankly they don't know what one looks like well he was basically selling one
let's just call it $1,000 12-month memberships
and then he really didn't have a back end he didn't he didn't even know what I
was like when I said what's your twenty five thousand dollar program he didn't
even know where to go he had no idea what that could possibly be and I was
like well just you know coach people for two thousand dollars a month that's
twenty four grand a year bang there's your twenty four thousand dollar program
and remembered nobody signs up for a networking group what they're trying to
do was build a business so coaching and some support and some marketing support
is something they're absolutely desperate for so let's get you started
anyways he did very very well but what am I getting at he had a networking
organization that was the one that he completely dominated okay so what I want
you guys to be thinking about is what is it that you are going to dominate so you
could do a podcast and absolutely kill it you could be like Gary Vaynerchuk and
do social media and again absolutely blitz it you could have you could set up
a group on Facebook or LinkedIn and have it be the biggest group of dentists in
the world right of the biggest virtual group of dentists in the world could be
your goal well you'd absolutely blow that you could do local live events like
I I do and used to do you know at an incredibly high rate I mean that could
be a fantastic initiative for you guys so come up with the one but answer to
the question which is important here for us joint ventures is the one strategy
that we use and that I would recommend you use to absolutely kill it that's if
I'm a new coach and I want to get started I want to go and form some joint
ventures you'll see I've spoken in-depth about forming a joint venture on a
different question but at the end of the day you got to understand it's about
building relationships right it's unfortunately I don't to say like nobody
wants to hear it but it's kind of like nobody wants to hear it everybody wants
to go form a joint venture and sign up a hundred thousand dollars of coaching
clients tomorrow that's not the approach you've got to accept it you need to
build a large and prolific long-term relationship with that individual that's
how you build it you know I know a guy a coach he does you know not huge numbers
but couple you know a couple hundred thousand dollars a year comfortably he's
got one joint venture but guess what it's an accountant and it's a buddy of
his from high school so you talk about a long term prolific relationship that's
one right there and obviously you might not have that he might not have the
capacity you might not know I can count it from your childhood but when you're
thinking about that in terms of the depth and the breadth of the
relationship that you need to form so Russ I hope that's handy man I love that
the way you're thinking there in terms of all right think I get that from the
question one strategy that you want to dominate and again joint ventures is the
one that I would say is the the most prolific and the one that I'd be going
to so guys thanks so much for being here for the video you do me a favor and like
my video I would super appreciate that if you got any comments that would be
great if you know of a coach that needs this information please comment with
their name down below if you'll show it I'd be forever indebted and I'd super
appreciate that and also guys if you don't have your
subscription to the six-figure Coach magazine yet please make sure you get
that and also I've got a video training series that you can get on
you know from the magazine or on the website that I think you will find
incredibly valuable and again it's all virtual so you can do it in your pajamas
thanks so much for being here guys I'm signing out for this edition of ask Karl
Bryan I'm gonna continue on my walk and try not to sprain my ankle
see you guys
you

Vicki runs a swimming club for the LGBT community - Londoner #279 - Duration: 2:27.
My father got me into sport, he wanted to take me and my sister sailing and he had
a little dinghy boat and then he thought maybe before we went sailing we should
go swimming. Then he spent the next five years watching me and my sister swim up
and down a swimming pool and we didn't really do much sailing ever.
So I'm in a swimming club called Out to Swim. I volunteer as a part of Out For Sport
which is the umbrella organization that looks after all the LGBT sports clubs
in London.
So I'm the co-chair of that umbrella organization and we run training events and social events.
We try to work as a team all together.
In 1994 I just joined the swimming club and I was just starting out, starting back with my swimming
and we went to the Gay Games in New York.
Round about then was like really the height of the AIDS crisis. In fact a lot of my friends died from AIDS.
In New York was possibly the absolute apex of the number of people
who were sick and dying. So going at that time to New York was a really
moving experience.
I felt very proud of us being strong and powerful.
One of the guys on our team he broke a world record and he was actually HIV
positive. The complete opposite of the image that was in so many people's minds
about what it was to be gay at that time. We brought that feeling back to London.

Botox for Men by David Bushore, M.D. | Balcones Dermatology & Aesthetics | Ph: 512-459-4869 - Duration: 2:18.
- Hello, I'm Dr. David Bushore.
I'm a board certified dermatologist
and the sole owner here at Balcones Dermatology and Aesthetics.
Today, I'm gonna be talking about Botox for men.
So, cosmetic treatments always sound
like it's supposed to be something for women
but it's becoming a lot more common for men.
We refer to it as even facial rejuvenation
but I do approach things differently for men than women.
Three main areas that we treat with Botox,
one is in between the brows right here, it's called the glabella area.
Crows feet, out here and then forehead lines.
The approach is different
so that for men, the muscles my be stronger
in what are called the corrugator muscles in between the eyes,
so do do higher doses there.
Why would you do this?
So, one is that the corrugator muscles
start creating a line there
and they bring the medial brows down.
When your medial brows come down,
it can be sometimes seen as make you look intimidating
and harder for people to feel comfortable approaching you
and things like that that may play a role,
fair or not, in being judged
without somebody actually knowing you.
So when we do the Botox injections here,
it will relax those muscles, allow that brow to lift back up
and the, here's the part you probably didn't know.
So, when we relax those muscles,
they've done studies and shown that it actually does treat depression.
It doesn't make a difference if there's lines there or not
but actually relaxing those muscles
has been shown to help treat depression.
Doesn't matter if you're 60 years old and you have a line there
that we do even fix with the Botox but it does treat depression.
The other places that we treat, one is the crow's feet area.
We treat that differently,
than we do in women.
For men, we want to treat a little bit lower.
Because if we treat too high, it may actually lift the brow a little bit.
And then the other place is the forehead.
So for the forehead, we may have to do higher doses than for women.
We also want to even that out and maintain
still some movement.
I think it just doesn't look natural if we don't
maintain some movement there.
So that's lowdown on Botox
and I'll see you next time.

Pentatonic Scales VS Modes for Guitar Improvisation (Guitar Lessons) @EffectiveMusicPractice - Duration: 7:41.
Hey guys what's up.
This is Prokopis from EffectiveMusicPractice, and today I want to address something that
seems to cause confusion among guitar players sometimes.
And it has to do with the use of Pentatonic Scales, Blues Scales, and the Modes.
People wonder where to use these, what's the best choice in every occasion, you know
can you mix them together in the same solo?
Now apparently we can't cover every detail of music theory concerning this in this lesson,
but I think that what I'll show you will clear up some important misconceptions and
help you make sense of this.
I'll go straight into an example, because I think it's easier for you to understand
this when you see it in action, and hear how it sounds, instead of just hearing a bunch
of theory.
Let's look at the Aeolian Mode, in the key of A. Aeolian is also commonly known as natural
minor, or sometimes just minor, and it's probably the most popular mode in guitar music.
I'm choosing this common shape to play it, and for those of you that know the String
Fragment System, I'm including the string fragment numbers, so that you don't have
to memorize any shapes.
As you know, I'm not a fan of box shape memorization, I've been using SFS instead
for years now.
So here's how that sounds.
I played the chord right there as well, because that allows you to hear the character of the
mode better.
Now, without getting into details about degrees and intervals, I will just number the degrees
of this mode.
The sound of the mode is determined by the presence of these degrees, and their relationship
to the root note A.
But what if I just skip a couple of them?
I mean you can do that.
In musical melodies we don't always play all the notes in order.
That would be boring.
I will skip degrees 2 and 6.
Make a mental note of this for later.
I'm skipping 2 and 6.
Can you see what I'm left with?
That's right.
This is the A minor pentatonic scale.
Again I'm showing the SF numbers, although I think that everyone knows this particular
shape anyway.
So in a sense, the Minor Pentatonic is a subset of Aeolian.
It's included in Aeolian.
But by skipping degrees 2 and 6, I get this more aggressive blues rock character out of it.
This means that whenever I'm playing an Aeolian song, basically 95 percent of minor
songs, I can switch to the minor pentatonic to get a different sound and add variety.
You'll hear this in action in a bit.
But let's quickly repeat for Dorian.
Here's an A Dorian shape.
Let's get rid of degrees 2 and 6.
In Dorian the 6 is a little different than in the Aeolian mode, and that's what gives
it it's edgy character.
But when I take out 2 and 6, guess what!
The rest of the notes are the same as in Aeolian, and they give us the Minor pentatonic again.
Let's look at Phrygian.
Here's an A Phrygian shape.
Let's get rid of degrees 2 and 6.
In Phrygian the 6 is like in the Aeolian mode, but the 2 is different, and that's what
gives it its exotic, dark character.
But when I take out 2 and 6, guess what!
The rest of the notes are the same as in Aeolian, and Dorian, and they give us the Minor pentatonic
again.
So what's the conclusion?
Whenever you play Aeolian, Dorian, or Phrygian, you can switch to the corresponding Minor
Pentatonic and it will sound great.
What's cool is that the background harmony in each mode colors the Minor Pentatonic Scale,
and makes it sound different and fresh.
That's why in my SFS Pentatonics Course I include MP3 backing tracks and drills over
many different modal harmonic contexts.
Even if you know your Pentatonics, it feels different over every different mode, so it
takes some practice to get comfortable.
I am now going to play you an example of each of the cases we looked at.
I will just loop a simple 2 chord backing track for each, and then I will improvise
using the mode VS the Pentatonic Scale, so that you can hear the difference.
But before I get into the demo, I want to encourage you to check out the String Fragment
System for mapping scales.
It allows you to do what we just did in every position of the fretboard, without memorizing
box shapes.
It's very cool, and I'm including a link below for you to get my FREE SFS Fretboard
Secrets mini course, so that you can learn how it works.
And if you are interested in my premium courses, like SFS Pentatonics, and SFS Modes, don't
forget that you can try them through the Practice Partner Subscription.

How to Use Microphones for Group Interaction - Duration: 3:33.
Hi everybody!
Hey it's Craig Freshley here.
A lot of times I do meetings with really large groups; so large that we need to use a microphone
and a PA system, otherwise known as a public address system.
My rule of thumb is about 40 to 60 people: if you have more than that you probably need
to use a microphone.
When a microphone is called for, I like to use wireless handheld microphones because
whenever I'm talking with a group, it's going to be interactive.
I'm not just stationary at the front.
I am calling on people and I want to hear from other people and everybody who speaks
in such a meeting needs to be using a microphone.
My preferred set up is a lavalier mic for me and two wireless handheld mics for me that
I maintain control of.
I like to get out and run around the audience and hold microphones for people.
Sometimes I will let a person hold the microphone by themselves; and I've still got one to go
take to somebody else.
If I let that person hold the microphone while they're talking, I circle back around and
get this one.
Sometimes I hold the microphone for somebody and whenever I do that I kneel down and get
myself out of the way.
Using a microphone has an interesting effect on a meeting.
It acts as a "talking stick."
You may be familiar with the Native American tradition of passing a talking stick in a
group and the rule is that you can only talk if you're holding the stick.
A microphone is a lot like that and the good thing about it is it ensures that only one
person talks at a time.
And not only that, if I'm facilitating the meeting in the way I just described, I'm the
one that gets to manage who talks when.
The microphone can be extremely effective at preventing shout outs, crosstalk, interruptions,
etc.
On the other hand, sometimes we want that spontaneity.
We like it when people can quickly comment on each other's comments, and if you have
a strict rule that everyone who talks needs to talk into a microphone, you lose that.
Look, a lot of places that I speak and give workshops they have a house PA system.
They have their own wireless microphones, lavalier mics, etc.
But not always, so I went ahead and bought my own wireless microphone system.
I've got two wireless mics and a lavalier mic and they channel into this receiver and
then I plug the receiver into a simple 30 Watt amplifier.
I take this on the road with me and this works pretty well for most situations that I'm in.
Look here's just a few tips about how to use microphones in a meeting where you want audience
interaction.
I hope this helps you help your group make good decisions.
Thanks for listening everybody!

Story How Scott Disick WILL 'Ghost' Sofia Richie FOR Kourtney Kardashian Is Fake - Duration: 5:53.
Story How Scott Disick WILL 'Ghost' Sofia Richie FOR Kourtney Kardashian Is Fake
A new article claiming Scott Disick will gladly "ghost" Sofia Richie if Kourtney Kardashian splits from Younes Bendjima is entirely made-up.
The story, based on Kardashian briefly deleting her Instagram, completely contradicts a slew of other fake news that was previously manufactured by HollywoodLife.
In the past, the fiction factory has posted reports about how Disick believes Richie is the "perfect" woman for him and a "better fit" than Kardashian ever was.
So, what's going on now?.
In its latest concocted tale, the rightly nicknamed HollywoodLies maintains that in the wake of Kardashian recently deleting her Instagram account briefly, Disick is praying she's now single so that they can once again be a couple.
One of the blog's seemingly fabricated sources claims Disick hopes "Kourtney unfollowing Younes on social media is the beginning of the end" for them because he has "never stopped loving" the mother of his three children.
The site, which clearly has no inside information, quotes its make-believe insider as saying, "If it turns out Kourtney is single again… Scott will ghost Sofia and start spending more time at home with Kourt and the kids.".
This is all very interesting because less than a month ago, the serial fibbers at HollywoodLies posted a story about how Disick thinks Richie's a "better fit for him" than Kardashian ever was.
In that equally fabricated tale, the often discredited website insisted Disick was happier with Richie than he was with Kardashian because his new girlfriend is "laid-back" and "doesn't try to control" him the way his ex did.
And a couple of months before that, the outlet published another made-up story titled, "Scott Disick Feels Sofia Richie Is 'The Perfect' Woman For Him." (See screenshots below.).
Basically, as Fashion Chanel has noted before, it seems HollywoodLies posts whatever they think could or might possibly be going on with certain celebrities at any given time.
But that's not journalism.
That's guesswork, at best, and creative writing, at worst.
With the backdrop of Kardashian and Bendjima temporarily unfollowing each other on Instagram, the untrustworthy blog began spinning its wheels until it came up with its fictitious angle involving Disick and Richie.
But based on its provably bad track record, the website's supposed sources are either 100 percent fake or truly know nothing.
And the quotations the outlet attributed to its conveniently unnamed and untraceable tipster are most assuredly phony.
No real person calls Kardashian "Kourtney" and then a few words later refers to her as "Kourt.".
While there's a chance Disick, who's 34, might split from the 19-year-old Richie, it will have nothing to do with reconciling with Kardashian.
And should Kardashian be single at the same time her ex is unattached, Fashion Chanel is told by a family insider that, though it would be easier to have the family reunited under one roof, it's "highly doubtful" she'd take him back "after all the expletive he's put her through."
Regardless, this new claim about Disick being ready to "ghost" Richie for Kardashian, following all the articles about how the teen's a "better fit" for him than Kardashian, is nothing more than fake news from HollywoodLife.
