This is what happens when you go on Whole 30 - Duration: 2:54.

Did I tell you we've been doing whole 30?

No, since when?

A week.

Josh is making me do it.

Although, I do think it's probably helping me make better decisions.

Well that's good.

Yea.

Although, little secret, Josh has been cheating.

He's been eating kidney beans like twice a week.

I'll be sure to lock that in the vault and use it for blackmail...

I know right?

What are you doing?

I'm having a snack.

You want some?

I mean, yes, I will eat me some chocolate chips, but aren't these contraband?

I don't know, there can't be that much sugar.

It's better than having a chocolate chip cookie.

Is it?

Anyway, it's been a struggle.

I'm not used to limiting myself like this.

Is that just straight Creme De Menthe?

Yes, relax, I'm pouring you one too.

Didn't you just say you're on the Whole 30?

Yes.

Yes I did.

Then how can you have alcohol?

Well I'm not putting any mixer in it.

No added sugars.

It's creme de Menthe, it's half sugar half alcohol.

What do you even mix with creme de menthe with?

Coke.

That's disgusting.

You just criticized Josh for eating a Kidney Bean,

and now you're eating chocolate chips and sugary Alcohol.

What are you getting now?

This drink just isn't doing it for me.

What are you doing?

I'm limiting myself, the only way I know how, OK?

It's organic and unbleached!

Stop.

Stop.

Don't do that.

Please stop.

Stop.

What are you doing!

Who even eats spoonfuls of sugar when they aren't on the Whole 30?

If it's good enough for Dame Mary Poppins it's good enough for me dammit!

I Don't see you trying to limit yourself!

You had cream in your coffee this morning.

Cream!

And Josh has been eating Legumes!

I mean, somebody has to look after my needs!

Ok, I think maybe going on a crash diet is not the choice for you.

Maybe let's try just going to the gym once a week?

That sounds like something I could pretend to commit to...

Yea.

Let's go with that..

Oh, this is bad.

I'm stepping in sugar.

What Is Capital Raising And The Different Types Of Startup Capital - Duration: 6:35.

Hi, I'm Bradley Birchall in this video, I'm going to cover what is capital raising and

the different types of start-up capital

So first up what is capital raising, capital raising is

your need to raise capital to grow your business

Basically what this means is that you were going to reach a point where you can continue on your way?

Using limited funds to grow your business

Which in terms that are recognized in the investment community

Usually means that you're going to be capital constrained in growing your business in other words

You will only have so much revenue that you can spend on things like

Sales, Marketing and Product Development

so we consider this to be

capital constrained which leads to

organic growth now or Organic growth means

You know you might be moving along picking up two or three new customers a month

And you just might be doing that consistently every month

But if you had capital in your company to grow more quickly you might be increasing your

Sales and the number of uses of your solution by anything up to 30% a month

Wouldn't that be a heck of a lot better than actually getting growth of two or three customers a month

so that's why you need to raise capital so that you can have a

faster path to growth

Now the other reason why you might need to raise capital is you might be in an industry or a sector

Where you have competition that is rapidly coming up from behind you

You don't want to be overtaken by your competition

Which means you need to grow quicker than your competition and to do that you need capital?

So organic growth is probably going to see you wiped out by your competition

You actually need capital to grow quickly so that is probably

The second most common reason why you need to do a capital race?

so

moving on to the third

item which is basically

What are the different types of capital so the different types of capital, so let's look at the first type which is?

Bootstrapping, which is you

funding your own start

Which means you've probably put in

$10,000 and $20,000 of your own money it might be $50,000 or $100,000 of your own money

But that's what bootstrapping is the longer you can bootstrap your company the better off

you're going to be because you're going to be in a stronger position to

raise capital

So the next is the three F's

Family, Friends and Fools as we call it in the industry

So that's usually where after you've bootstrapped it yourself

You're probably going to go to these people and you might ask them for a bit of money to put into your business

the third is

Angel Investors

So you might need to raise fifty thousand might only be twenty thousand it might be up to

$200,000

but that's sort of range from about $20,000 to $150,000 is the angel investor range and

That is the third most common and the third in sequence usually that you're going to go for

to raise capital

So the fourth is

Private Equity, now private equity can come from

Primarily two different sources one is high net worth individuals. These are wealthy individuals

that have over two million dollars in assets and

the

Second out of the private equity basket

Basically family offices, so family offices are

Families usually that have made

hundreds of millions of dollars in their own sector or in their own industry and they run a

professional company under their family office that basically invests all of the wealth that they've made in

new ventures often startups

So the fifth source of capital racing for startups is

Venture capital now. I'm not going to talk too much about venture capital

But suffice to say it's it's it's not an approach that I like nor many people do like

because with venture capital it's more than likely

that you are not going to meet your targets at some point and that VC firm is

Going to take a considerable amount of equity away from your company for you. Not meeting those targets

Which is one of the reasons why we also call it Vulture Capital so I wouldn't recommend venture capital

and I would definitely stick to

private equity through either family offices or high net worths

In the description below you'll find a summary of this video and all the links and

Don't forget to subscribe (click below now)

Because I've got a ton of awesome video coming up for founders startups

and entrepreneurs like you and you really don't want to miss it.

It's going put you on the smarter path to success

EPA Says That Environmental Racism Is Completely OK - Duration: 3:26.

The town of Uniontown, Alabama, is a predominantly African-American community, and more than

a decade ago, the state ruled that a coal company could open a toxic coal ash waste

site in Uniontown, and for those of you who aren't familiar with it, coal ash is highly

volatile, contains cancer-causing chemicals and it can very easily leach into waterways

and underground aquifers and poison entire communities with these cancer-causing agents,

but, nonetheless, the state of Alabama said, "You know what?

Go ahead and just put your coal ash dump here right here in this black town away from all

of the white people."

We call that environmental racism, and the people in Uniontown understood exactly what

that was and they had filed a lawsuit not long ago on the grounds that the placement

of this toxic coal ash waste site actually violated the Civil Rights Act of the United

States and, this week, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said, "We don't care."

They have refused to move the coal ash waste site and they've said that the people of Uniontown

have not provided enough evidence to show that in any way this is a case of environmental

racism.

That's exactly what it is.

That toxic coal ash dumping site could have gone anywhere in the state.

Hell, it could have gone to another state.

They do that all the time.

Instead, they found one of the blackest communities possible and said, "You know what?

That's a good spot to put our toxic waste because those people don't really matter."

That is the mentality of corporations operating in the United States today, and Uniontown

is not alone.

It's not an isolated incident.

Environmental racism is prevalent all throughout the United States.

In fact, it is so prevalent that African-Americans and Hispanics are far more likely to be poisoned

by toxic corporate waste than white people.

They have an astronomically larger percentage chance of being the victims of corporate dumping.

That's what we're looking at in America today, and that's not to say that white people don't

get affected by this.

They do.

Everybody does.

It's just much more likely to happen if you live in a poor African-American community

or a Hispanic community because those are the ones that corporations say, "You know

what?

We could without those people.

Why not kill two birds with one stone?

We get to get rid of our toxic waste.

We get to poison these people that we don't like.

Everybody wins, right?" and the EPA under Scott Pruitt said, "You know what?

I like the way you think.

We're not going to do a damn thing about this.

We're going to continue to let these black people in Alabama be poisoned by toxic coal

ash because we don't care," and, to us, to the United States Environmental Protection

Agency, environmental racism is A-okay in their book.

This Is Living With Cancer™: Jordan's Story - Duration: 3:59.

[cars driving by]

[Jordan] Columbia University.

I'm doing my post-bac, pre-med program here.

It's all just a means to an end,

I just wanna get this program done

and then get on to med school.

I got that call and it was the night before my semester

was supposed to start in the spring.

I was diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

It kind of just felt like the whole world

kind of ended for a second.

[laughing]

He was the first phone call I made

after I got the actual diagnosis.

[Director] How far apart are you guys?

[Jordan's Brother] Three years.

He always is going to be my little brother, I guess.

We give each other a hard time,

it's what we're supposed to do.

[Jordan] When I actually was on the phone with my surgeon,

got the diagnosis myself, that was tough,

but actually having to then spread the feeling

that I felt with the other people

that I'm closest to in my life,

that was actually the worst part for me.

[Jordan's Mom] I remember getting a phone call

from him in school

and I don't think I could breathe very well.

[Jordan's Dad] It's a parent's nightmare.

[Jordan's Mom] It is.

[Jordan's Dad] It's a nightmare.

[Jordan's Mom] You can't imagine.

[Jordan's Dad] It's the blackest cloud you can imagine.

[Jordan] You know when you're going through

treatments and stuff, of course, yeah, there are days

that are worse than all the others.

[Jordan's Mom] If you don't have your family,

I don't know how people

go through this without an immediate support group.

[Jordan] He actually handled most of the scheduling

consultations and stuff like that.

[Jordan's Dad] Jordan and I would go into the hospital,

and I would sit with him all day while he was doing chemo,

but while I was doing that with him,

Deb would scrub every surface of the house so that when he

came home everything in the house was clean.

So, because his white blood count was wiped out,

he would not get an infection when he came home.

[Jordan's Mom] We all had our jobs to do.

[Jordan] Em would just come over sometimes

and just sit on the couch with me

and know that I couldn't do anything else.

We've known each other since eighth grade,

we went to high school together and everything.

[Jordan's Girlfriend] Besides for those really hard days

physically and mentally,

Jordan and I hung out all the time

and we had a great time when we were together.

It was just kind of like, let's just forget about it,

let's just be us.

[Jordan] Other than my parents and

sometimes Josh after treatments and Emily,

nobody else saw that or knew that side of it.

You know, I'm really stubborn and kinda almost proud of that fact.

'Cause I didn't want to show everybody

that I couldn't do something.

Retaining that sense of normalcy is really important,

so you don't feel like a cancer patient all the time,

you just feel like a person who every couple weeks

has to go in for a treatment.

[Jordan's Brother] There is nobody hands-down

throughout this entire process

that had a better attitude than him.

[Jordan's Dad] You have two choices.

Your first choice is saying, "why me?"

And your second choice is get to it.

And if you sit there and you say, "why me?"

the cancer gets the better of you, and if you get to it,

hopefully you get the better of the cancer.

[Jordan] Whatever it is that you're doing with your life,

don't let cancer overtake all of that.

There's always more to you than just the patient,

and I think it's important to keep those other parts

of you moving and going throughout the whole process.

The Most Effective Pest Control is Non-Toxic | Karn Manhas - Duration: 1:01.

My name is Karn.

I'm the Founder and CEO of Terramera.

Most of the materials we use today for pest control are synthetic chemicals that were

designed really to kill.

Almost all the insecticides we use are neurotoxins.

The problem with a lot of the neurotoxic materials is we all have the same neurology.

So, if it's toxic to a bug, it's also toxic to us.

Terramera makes natural products that actually work.

And we found that we can take many of the natural, organic materials that are used in

pest control today and make them 3-10 times more effective so that they actually out perform

the synthetic pesticides that we're using.

We have a consumer product.

We're right now at about 6000 retail locations across five different major chains.

[Robin] When I got sick,

when I was 12, 13,

they never told me that I had cancer.

So that was like back then, they'd do things like that,

like they didn't tell kids.

We have a long story. 25 years together.

We got married June 2003.

He supports me.

[Robin's Husband] I don't think I ever expected,

when I first got together with Robin,

that I knew she was a cancer survivor

because she had had cancer as a teenager.

I thought it was over. I thought that was history.

It never occurred to me that she would be

so vulnerable as an adult.

[Robin] It was very hard for him,

and he's learned how to do it

in his own way which to me is amazing

because he can push me to a place

where I can push myself.

This is my healing room.

I spend most of my time in here,

and my days doing my drawings and stuff in here

ever since I had my breast cancer

and I had a double mastectomy.

Whenever you get through stuff, that's what it is.

You get past it

and you move on

and you move to a different place

and you grow a little more.

It's like never backwards, you're always growing.

[Robin's Husband] Things that used to be real easy,

like oh, let's just go take a walk,

and it's like we would walk for miles,

now it's a lot more work.

We are definitely a team in that way.

It's a team that we have our challenges,

but we definitely collaborate and you know we've had to

because Robin's had a lot of health issues.

[Robin] Our relationship has really solidified

in a way I don't think it ever was.

[Director] I guess he does a lot to hold things down?

[Robin] He's doing everything.

[Director] Who is he?

[Robin] Who is he?

[Director] Yeah.

[Robin] That's exactly it, who is this guy?

Who is this guy?

I had just broken up with a boyfriend.

I went with a friend to three different places,

three different weeks, he was there dancing,

three different places.

He's dancing, his hands are wild.

I'm like, "Who is this guy?"

[dramatic music]

I don't know what happens in my next steps, I'm just going.

It's all a process

and that's the way I love.

Who is Marcus McGuane? The ex-Arsenal player following in Gary Lineker's footsteps at Barcelona - Duration: 6:29.

Marcus McGuane is set to become the first Englishman to feature for Barcelona since Gary Lineker - but what do we know about the 19-year-old? Michael Hincks takes a look

Barcelona face rivals Espanyol in the Catalan Super Cup final on Wednesday, with Ernesto Valverde selecting eight first-team players, including Jasper Cillessen, Ousmane Dembele and Andre Gomes

Meanwhile, Greenwich-born McGuane is among the 12 players selected from Barca B, and with no English player having represented the first team since Lineker in 1989, the former Arsenal midfielder could well follow in the striker's footsteps at the Camp d'Esports in Lleida

But what do we know about McGuane? We examine how he went from Hale End to Barcelona

Profile: Marcus McGuaneAge: 19Born: Greenwich, LondonPosition: Defensive midfieldInternational caps: Two for England U19s Swapping London for BarcelonaJanuary's transfer window was undeniably an eventful one

With Philippe Coutinho leaving Liverpool, Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan swapping clubs, and Virgil van Dijk becoming the world's most expensive defender, the transfer of an 18-year-old Arsenal player to Barcelona went unnoticed by many

McGuane moved to Barca B for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year deal - with an option to a further two years - which features a buyout clause of €25m (£22

4m).It was a bold decision for McGuane to leave Arsenal, having joined at under-six level, but he has gone on to feature four times for Barca B in central midfield

What happened at Arsenal?Available quotes from Arsene Wenger on McGuane are incredibly brief, but highlight the player's versatility

"McGuane is a defensive midfielder, and overall he can play as a wing-back or even a centre back in training," Wenger told arsenal

com.As a result, McGuane played both defensive and midfield roles for Arsenal's under-23s this season, scoring twice in nine Premier League 2 appearances

The former under-18s captain also enjoyed all of 12 minutes for Arsenal's first team, having been a late substitute in Europa League wins at BATE Borisov and Red Star Belgrade, but ultimately called it time at the Emirates on January 30

It ended a staggering 12-year spell at the club, with reports suggesting McGuane, who was into the final six months of his contract, was holding off on penning a new deal because of the uncertainty surrounding his first-team chances at Arsenal

In search of such opportunities at Barcelona, the teenager could well be rubbing shoulders with €105m-man Dembele on Wednesday evening, while he will no doubt look to learn from midfield powerhouses Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic and Andres Iniesta in the months to come

International pedigreeMcGuane represented the Republic of Ireland at under-17 level before switching his allegiance to England

After eight caps for the U17s and U18s, McGuane featured twice for the U19s last September

An appearance off the bench in the 7-1 win over Poland was followed by a start in the 3-1 defeat to Germany

With no U19 fixtures on the horizon, only time will tell if McGuane's Catalonian venture proves beneficial for his international career

What they saidBarca B coach Gerard Lopez told ESPN FC: "McGuane's adapted well

He's doing well. He's a complete player. Perhaps he just lacks that calmness on the ball, that pause in terms or our positional play, but he has everything else we need in the middle of the pitch

"He's a hard worker, good in the air, arrives in the box from deep. He's already added a lot to the team

I can use him in a lot of positions and at his age, he still has a lot of room for improvement

"In a short time he has already earned my confidence, and I hope he can become an important player for us

"
