Tributes flow for teacher who &#039;made a difference&#039;

The tributes have flowed for a well-loved Queen's High School teacher hailed as an inspiration by her pupils.

Former head of English Jenny Webb, who died on Wednesday, taught at the Dunedin school for more than 40 years.

She retired in 2016.

Since her death there has been a flood of tributes from former colleagues and pupils on social media.

Emily Larkins said she knew Mrs Webb as Mummy Webb.

I was a 4JWebb girl in 1996 and to us she was Mummy Webb.

Much fun was had dressing up for sports day, and hugs and kindness were her thing.

She has helped shape thousands of young women and will be sadly missed..

Hannah Kelly said she was glad to have crossed paths with Mrs Webb.

You were the most beloved teacher and you will be missed by many.

RIP Mrs Webb..

Nikki Daggar said her death was very sad news.

Mrs Webb was a wonderful teacher and a powerhouse of positivity.

She will be missed.

Condolences to her family and loved ones..

In a post of Facebook Queen's High School said she was a inspirational teacher, friend and colleague here at Queen's for over 40 years.

Jenny had a charismatic laugh, an infectious smile and a song for every occasion.

Her aroha for every student that passed through her door was so clearly evident and she only wanted the best for each and every one of "her girls".

She shared her love of literature and passion for reading with us all.

We will miss this remarkable lady, the post said.

A memorial service would be held at 2pm on Saturday March 31 at Queen's High School.

talking about what is the best phone for a creator in 2018 but if you're not

oh and when I mean creator I just don't mean on YouTube we're talking about your

this videos coming out in early 2018 so there's lots of phones that will come

out throughout the year that will be very very useful and be better than the

phones in this video so I'll leave a link or put a YouTube card or something

updated best phones for creators in 2018 first off if you're part of that Apple

ecosystem and you just can't break that then you'll have to go with Apple it's

not a good phone for creators mostly because of its restrictions if you need

some certain kind of app and it's not on the App Store then you're stuck on

Android you can go on any kind of site and get an apk for anything you need and

download that and install it onto your phone Apple is not very friendly with

transferring files or anything like that so really you are stuck in that Apple

ecosystem if you have an iPhone and it's not going to be good for your creating

career on how you're gonna create content cuz you're stuck with what app

will give you but if you really want that iPhone I highly suggest either

getting the iPhone 10 the iPhone 8 or the iPhone 7 and I would stay clear of

the iPhone 7 now and move towards eight or ten and that's

basically because it has better features and you're getting Apple's newest stuff

if you're gonna be refined to those constrictions that Apple is giving you

the might as well have the best and the eight and iPhone 10 cameras are both

pretty solid and can shoot in 4k so that's another plus and they also can

take amazing photos so now that we've got that out of the way and sort of know

why you need to get an Android over an iPhone if you're a creator let's talk

about some of the top Android so the Galaxy S 9 is just now being released

and I would say it's between the s9 and the pixel two for your best options for

a creator on Android I think the s9 is the only camera that compete can compete

with the pixel camera and I think cameras a really important part of being

a creator and I actually do use a pixel and I use it to film this video you're

watching right now so sort of take that in their context and also I edited my

entire video that you're watching right now on the pixel also so I filmed it

edited it and published it and created the thumbnail all on the Google pixel

but I understand that the pixel and the s9 are extremely expensive so I would

suggest more of a lower cheaper option is the one plus five T and also the

essential phone these are both very good phones for you to use

that are a lot cheaper then the s9 and the pixel but they still can give you

around the same quality they still have great cameras they still work very well

and they're really good phones for that four hundred five hundred dollar price

range if you need something even cheaper than that in a really budget phone I

recommend is a Oh me me a one this phone is such a great phone for people on a

tight tight budget this phone is under $200 on Amazon I'll leave a link to all

the phones I talked about in the description below this phone gets some

pretty fast updates for the Android system it's not gonna be as fast as

something like the Google pixel where they almost immediately get the update

once it's released but it is still pretty fast and it can it's capable of

doing the things you need it can take pretty good pictures it can do video at

a decent amount it's just for someone getting started someone on a tight

budget and for something under $200 it offers a lot but once you get this phone

you're gonna have to know what to do with it and just because you've got a

good phone that can really help you be a creator by just using a phone you still

need to know what to do what apps to get and how to do that certain stuff so in

shows you how you can do all sorts of things on phones how you can photo edit

it how you can video edit and all sorts of things like that for your phone also

Ball-tampering: Australia launch investigation, Steve Smith remains captain for now

Cricket Australia chief executive officer James Sutherland says he is shocked and extremely disappointed and has begun an investigation into the ball-tampering scandal involving the Australia team on tour in South Africa.

Cameron Bancroft admitted he tampered with the ball on Saturday in Cape Town, and captain Steve Smith said he knew of the plan in advance.

Two senior CA officials will travel to South Africa to gather relevant information, but Smith will remain as captain for now.

Steve Smith is currently captain, we are working through a process. Once we have a clearer picture of the facts we will be able to make further comment, Sutherland said on the skippers position.

Former Australia batsman Simon Katich told Melbourne-based radio station SEN News that CA had no option but to sack Smith, vice-captain David Warner and head coach Darren Lehmann, while ex-fast bowler Rodney Hogg also called for Smith to step down, for what he called blatant cheating.

Television footage showed Bancroft, who has been charged for the incident by the International Cricket Council, take what he said was yellow tape out of his trouser pocket before rubbing the ball during the third Test at Newlands.

Smith said the teams leadership group had spoken about it and thought it was a way to get an advantage but said he would not step down.

CAs head of integrity Iain Roy and head of team performance Pat Howard will now travel to South Africa.

We have a responsibility to take this further and to understand more about the issue, Sutherland said. We will, over the next couple of days, get a deep understanding of what happened and why.

We are extremely disappointed and shocked and we are dealing with this issue with utmost urgency and seriousness. This is a very sad day for Australian cricket and I feel like Australian cricket fans feel right now.

Sutherland said he had spoken to Smith about the teams behaviour before the ball-tampering incident, following a number of controversial incidents during the series with South Africa, but had not done so since Bancrofts charge.

I have very strong and clear views about the responsibility of the Australian team to play the game in the right spirit, he added.
