I like to use the analogy of your Facebook cover photo,

as an example, on your page.

You should put as much effort into that

as you would if you were going to spend like

ten thousand dollars on a billboard on the highway

because it does give a first impression.

Like, people judge you on appearances,

I know some people that have really great websites

that they've invested a lot of time

and money in design and stuff

but then their Facebook page,

their cover picture is just like

a picture of an empty massage table, as an example,

like in a dark room,

and that doesn't really sell your brand

or sell your business on first impressions.

So, ideally, when people see your

Facebook page for the first time,

this is what I've noticed people mainly do,

they come, they look at their cover photo,

they look at the profile picture,

they scroll down a little bit if they like what they see

in that first little three seconds or five seconds or so,

then they'll keep scrolling,

and if they don't,

then they'll just be like "nah" and want to click off.
