Oh boy!

That's Dead Wrong.

When you spend $100 at your local store,

you don't lose $100.

You gain goods and services that are more

worth to you than the $100 that you just spent.

If the government intervenes and stops you,

you have to go a worse alternative.

That's the loss.

Don't believe this nonsense about the

trade balance.

A trade deficit is nothing but millions of

customers spending money at their best option.

It is not a loss; it's millions of gains.

But if the government intervenes and stops

them, consumers lose their best goods and

services; businesses lose their best and

cheapest inputs, like steel, and become

less competitive.

So, a "trade war" is nothing but two

governments fighting over who can inflict

the most damage on their own citizens.

And just like in real wars, they quarrel

about who started it.

But the question is not who began to punch

himself in the face first, it's who stops doing it.

Or, as Joan Robinson puts it in a metaphor,

"Just because your trading partner

throws rocks into his harbor,

it's not a reason for you to throw rocks

into your own."

Elementor 2.0: NEW Features Everybody Is Waiting For - Duration: 7:26.

In today's video, I am going to talk about the exciting new features of Elementor 2.0.

Stick around to understand what Elementor Blocks are and what are the upcoming goodies

of the fastest growing page builder in the WordPress ecosystem.

Elementor is already a go-to plugin for most of the WordPress users that want to build

a great looking website.

Even if the growth was huge, Elementor still lacks some features.

This is the main reason the news about Elementor 2.0 created a lot of buzz.

What is new, will it be compatible with Gutenberg?

Will Elementor launch a theme?

The roadmap ahead looks promising and one thing is for sure; starting with 2.0, each

Elementor release will focus on a lot of new features that users have been asking for:

Here are some key features: blocks, headers, footers, dynamic content, single posts, archive

pages, search results pages, and 404 pages.

It is important to remember that these new features will not be launched all at once,

so if you want to get the latest news, check the description box for updates.

Let's dive into the features.

# What are blocks and how do you use them?

In short, blocks are pre-designed sections.

Even if this is not a new concept for page builders, it is an excellent addition to Elementor.

Probably this will be in a way connected with the new WordPress editor called Gutenberg,

but if you want a video on Gutenberg, let me know in the comments or just like this

video.

So what can you do with blocks?

As a pre-designed layout, blocks will enable you to create landing pages faster.

Or any other type o page for that matter.

You might as well call this feature SECTIONS.

At first you might not find the blocks feature as important, but this new level of flexibility

will help you build faster and better websites.

The problem with importing a full page template was that they came with different fonts, colors

and it is a hassle to build something from scratch.

Now you can drag and drop the blocks and only be limited by your imagination.

For now, there are 250+ blocks but more are to be added I am sure.

Probably third-party authors will work on this too.

In the end, blocks will help you work faster.

# New page template: Elementor Header & Footer

Not listed as a feature but the beta version that we are testing now included a new page

template: Elementor Header & Footer How does this work?

We can break down a page into header area, content area, and footer area.

For now, Elementor doesn't have an easy way to build headers.

Probably with Elementor 2.0, we will be introduced to header blocks or footer block, giving users

a new level of flexibility in design.

So, the new page template works the same as "Elementor canvas," but this time it keeps

your theme's header and footer.

The main idea behind it is that you get a full-width layout, no sidebars.

I think that this works awesome with themes that let you customize the header and footer

area but the content area is built with elementor.

# Is Elementor going to build a theme?

One part of the Elementor 2.0 announcement is the Theme Builder as Part of Your Package

So what they are doing with a future release, is to bundle all the theme building parts

inside the existing Pro version, so you won't need to buy any other plugin.

Just to clear things off, you will still need a theme to run your website, but the design

part where Elementor will take care of the magic.

Actually, you will be soon able to customize any area of your chosen theme with Elementor,

which is even better.

If you want to know what is the best theme for Elementor, check the video on the card

on the top right corner.

Probably this is the main hassle with Elementor right now, the theme compatibility, so be

sure to pick one that is working with the page builder.

# Gutenberg compatibility

Talking about compatibility, WordPress 5.0 we will have a new editor.

Nothing is clear for now, but the team at Elementor said that they are keeping an eye

on Gutenberg and Elementor will work it when it will be launched.

This is still a great unknown, but let me know in the comments.

# Why you should try Elementor beta?

You can become a beta tester: There are a lot of promising features following

the first releases:

The posibility to create single posts and archive pages.

At the time of this video, the way to design a single post template with Elementor is to

use third party plugins - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLWLd705c3Q Let's hope that this will be part of the

core of Elementor.

Less plugins = better site speed.

The same goes with Customization of your search results and 404 pages.

This is considered to be a big mis.

But it would be great to use the power of Elementor to have better 404 pages (maybe

show how a 404 pages looks vs a better designed one)

Powerful design control for WooCommerce shops, product pages and other eCommerce pages: usually

themes come with a limited option to design WooCommerce shops.

This is to be understandable because each online shop owner has its own ideas about

how to make the store.

Probably this will be related with the blocks but we will have to wait and see.

A story alleging Justin Bieber's "time apart" from Selena Gomez is "driving him crazy" was made-up.

Fashion Chanel can bust this claim.

Bieber is doing fine, and these contentions actually contradict a prior report.

Allow us to explain.

According to HollywoodLife, while Gomez is "all smiles on her Australian vacation," Bieber is "struggling" and going through a "tough time.

" A so-called "source" alleges the singer-actress is "like a drug for him," and he "needs more and more and more.

" The site's supposed snitch maintains Bieber has "Selena on the brain constantly" and "keeps thinking about her," even as he spends time with pals to "drown it out.

This alleged tipster goes on to contend that Bieber is already planning to "really wine and dine her upon her return" to the United States in hopes of starting their romance "back up again." Notably, though, the blog admits it doesn't know when Gomez is poised to be in Los Angeles again.

The website points out Gomez posted a video on Instagram from her time in Australia, along with a "subliminal message" about how "she 'chose' to take care of herself, 'not to prove anything to anyone.' Wonders the outlet, "Was she trying to give us insight into her most recent split with Bieber?".

First off, Gomez is not actually on a "vacation." She went to Sydney for Hillsong Church's Colour Conference, and the "subliminal message" she shared on Instagram was actually a quote from the event.

And, as a number of publications astutely observed, Gomez posted this "beauty myth" statement after she was body-shamed on social media.

It had nothing to do with her relationship with Bieber.

Second, HollywoodLies, as it is nicknamed, has spent months spreading false claims about what Gomez and Bieber are doing together.

After wrongly purporting to know how they'd be spending Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and his birthday, the site now wants readers to believe it has genuine insight on Bieber's future plans for them.

Fat chance, considering this is the same blog he once slammed as "garbage.".

Third, although the website acknowledges that Bieber has been "staying active," it makes hay of a routine fall during a soccer match and absurdly asserts he "seemingly broke down" during a hockey game when he was actually just catching his breath.

He also recently attended a movie premiere and its after-party, and shortly before this tall tale was published, Bieber posted on Twitter that he's "grateful for great friends.".

Fourth and last, HollywoodLies is the same publication that just last week insisted that Bieber and Gomez were "meeting in secret," but just keeping their romance private.

If that was the case, why would he now be going "crazy" with all this "time apart"? The inconsistencies expose the lies.

Whether or not Bieber is really "struggling" with their decision to take a break from the relationship, it's abundantly apparent this latest "exclusive" did not actually come from a real "source," just like the other article didn't.

Rather, the site is continuing its shameful practice of trying to capitalize on the couple with made-up stories.
